Hey Dravenites, welcome to my first GMW fanfic. Originally I was going to do Lucaya fanfic but I went for Riarkle because reasons. Enjoy!
'' Ladies, gentlemen, subordinates it is with great sadness that I announce my retirement from Minkus International as its CEO, but I'm still the majority shareowner so ha! '' Stuart Minkus looked out at the hall. All of his employees ,their respective partners and children. He was extremely proud of the business empire he had created for himself. Stuart did not have many friends but he had recently become more friendly with the Matthews family and the Hunter family. So they had been invited.
Next to him on the podium was his 21 year old son Farkle, he seemed distracted and seemed to be fiddling with something in his pocket. Ignoring that, Stuart continued to speak.
''Anyway I am pleased to announce that my son and heir will be taking my place, please welcome the new CEO of Minkus International Farkle Nikola Minkus!''
The hall burst into thunderous applause as Farkle took the stage.
'' Thank you everyone, I may not be the killer shark business tycoon that my father is, but I assure you I will do my best to be an amazing CEO, and I've got some amazing support with me'' Farkle looked out at his best friends consisting of Lucas, Zay, Maya, Isadora , Milton, Walter, Christopher and Robert.
The one who he was looking at the most was his best friend/girlfriend Riley Matthews. Two years ago he had dumped Isadora for her, arguing that whilst he liked Isadora, she never made him feel the same way that Riley did. Recently he had been thinking of proposing to her, but that had two major roadblocks. The first being that Cory feints whenever the pair reach a milestone in their relationship, he had actually been admitted to hospital when Farkle told Cory that Riley was moving in with him. The second roadblock was that whenever he tried to propose something always got in the way thus ruining the moment.

Farkle was currently being bombarded by reporters.
Riley watched from afar, worried about if Farkle would have a panic attack.
'' Hey bestie'' came a familiar voice.
'' Hey Maya, how're you enjoying yourself?''
'' Fine, this place has the best prime rib I've ever tasted.''
'' I know right, The Minkus' personal chef Esteban really knows his way around the kitchen.''
'' Hello Riley, I trust you and Farkle are enjoying a pleasant romantic relationship?'' Came another voice.
'' Hi Smackle, yes we are.''
'' Terrific, might I add that even though I still bare some hatred for you I wish the two of you nothing but the best.''
'' Thanks Izzy'' Riley smiled at her.
'' So, Riley do you think old turtleneck is going to pop the question anytime soon?'' Maya asked.
'' I don't know, he hasn't been acting out of the ordinary lately but I'm not sure. Who knows if I'm even ready to get married yet?''
'' I felt the same way before Lucas proposed'' Maya responded, '' then I knew I was.''
'' Well I don't think Farkle's proposing anytime soon'' Riley answered.
'' You never know sweetie, now if you'll excuse me, there's a large dish of dead cow flesh I need to devour'' and with that Maya went back to the buffet table.
'' How about you Izzy, do you think he's going to propose?'' Riley asked her other friend.
'' It's probable, considering his financial position that furthers my previous point ergo I'd say its likely.''
'' Ok, I wonder how my poor boyfriend's doing with the reporters all up in his face?''
Farkle hadn't been able to fend them off, however Lucas was. He along with Zay had taken him outside where the three men were talking.
'' Thanks for getting me out of that situation guys, those reporters were relentless.''
'' No worry dude, if you don't mind me asking, what's with the bulge in your pocket, you happy to see me?'' Zay play flirted.
'' Hilarious, no Zay, I'm thinking of proposing to Riley tonight.''
'' Zay Whaat? Farkle you're 21 dude, you shouldn't be thinking of getting hitched'' Zay protested.
'' I think it's a great idea, you should totally propose Farkle'' Lucas said.
'' Thanks Lucas, although I think Zay has a point, I am a bit young to be getting married.''
'' I'm 22 and I'm married, it might not seem like the best decision but every morning when I wake up and I see Maya dozing next to me I remember it as the best decision I ever made'' Lucas explained smiling at the sky. '' Listen Zay we gotta go, I just got a message that there's a dog who needs to get a lump removed and I need my nurse.''
Zay growled and followed him, even though it was just a temp job, Zay hated being called Lucas' nurse, he felt it was too feminine, he preferred junior doctor.
Farkle looked at the sky, upstate New York was beautiful. He got lost in thought before someone drew his attention.
'' Mr. Minkus, you're inauguration speech is happening'' an attractive redhead said to him.
'' Thanks Wendy'' Farkle hugged the redhead tightly, when he started working for Minkus International Wendy had helped him through the transition.
Riley was walking up to Farkle when she saw him hugging her. Riley just stood there, mouth wide open.
'' Hey Riles what's u-oh my God!'' Maya shouted. '' That little twerp, I'll kick his ass-
'' No, let's just go'' Riley said as she walked back to their table.
'' Wendy, please get off'' Farkle asked.
'' No, Farkle, we need to be together'' Wendy insisted.
Farkle pushed her off him, '' I'm not interested in you that way Wendy.''
'' Pfft, your loss'' Wendy scoffed as she walked away.
Now where's my girlfriend? Farkle thought as he examined the room once he stepped back in.
Farkle saw Riley at a table her face in her hands, Maya next to her trying to console her.
As he walked there he saw Maya give him an evil glare.
'' Hey Maya can I talk to Riley outside?'' he asked.
'' No'' Maya stated plainly.
'' Please, it won't take long-
'' She doesn't want to speak to you Minkus-
'' No, I'll go'' Riley said. '' C'mon Farkle.''
The pair walked outside where Farkle began to speak, '' Riley Amy Matthews, I've loved you since first grade and I'll never stop. I thought I was over you but true feelings never go away. '' Farkle got down on one knee.
Riley however had her back turned.
'' Riley look at me.''
No response.
'' Riley please.''
Riley begrudgingly turned around only to see Farkle on one knee with a black velvet box with a silver ring inside it in his hands.
'' Riley will you marry me?'' he asked.
'' Yes'' Riley said, her eyes welling up as she jumped on him.
'' Riles, I can't breathe'' Farkle coughed.
'' Sorry'' Riley said standing up and extending her hand for him to grab onto.
'' Ok Minkus you've had enough time'' Maya stormed outside where her mood changed once she saw the pair smiling.
'' Are you?-
'' Engaged'' Riley squealed.
'' But I thought you caught him cheating?''
'' Oh God did you see the hug with Wendy, apparently she had a thing for me, who knew?'' Farkle explained.
'' You're handsome baby'' Riley said pecking him on the lips.
'' Hey Riley we're off, Auggie's got school in the morning'' Cory said as he came outside.
Going wide eyed, he then fainted.
'' Oh God is he ok?'' Maya panicked running over to her ex-teacher.
'' He's fine this always happens'' Farkle said, smiling at Riley.
