Gretel's long night part 2

"Doc you in?" Gopher asks as he comes into the office

"Yeah, what's up Gopher?" Doc asks him when he saw Gretel who was not incredibly happy at all like something was really bugging her

"Gretel won't stop crying I think she may be sick" Julie says as she was looking at the little girl

Doc started to feel her belly and when he touched her belly, she howled

"I have to do some test to see what is going on, and I will get back to the two of you before too long" Doc says as he takes Gretel Smith away from Gopher

"Gretel I'm right outside ladybug" Gopher says as he calls to her cause he wanted to be with her since she was not feeling too well

"I hope she will be okay" Julie says as she sits down waiting for news

"Me too and I hope she doesn't have to have surgery" Gopher says as he sits next to Julie

"I know if she doe I don't think I will be able to sign for her to go under cause she is just a little baby" Julie says as she was thinking of her right now and what she was going through back there

"I will I want to have her get better and maybe if she starts early enough, she might call me dada and I want to hear those words from her mouth" Gopher says as he was thinking of her

"Maybe it might be mama" Julie says as she was thinking of Gretel as well cause she fell in love with her as well

"Maybe after this we could get married so she has a real family I hate to have us live separately" Gopher says as he was thinking of the future right now

"Gopher let's get through her first cruise before we go that far ahead" she tells him

"Julie I'm serious I think me, and you can be great parents to her and that is what she needs right now" Gopher says as Doc comes out with news on Gretel

"Gopher, Julie I need to operate on Gretel her intestine is extended" Doc tells them cause Doc had his nurse already scrubbing up for the operation

"My word" Gopher says to him

Julie runs in to be with Gretel

"How bad is it?" Gopher asks him

"Once I get there, I will be able to see what's going on, so Gopher I need you to put through a call again to my friend in L.A cause he needs to talk me through this procedure" Doc tells him

"Right" Gopher says as he leaves to go to the radio room to have the call made

"Gopher when you come back, I need you or Julie sign a paper to consent to the surgery" Doc tells him

"I'll sign it now Julie is too much of a wreck" Gopher says as he signs the paper for Gretel Smith to have surgery

(Later)

"I figured you two will need some coffee" Isaac says as he brings in some coffee for Gopher and Julie

"Thanks, we can't sleep cause Gretel is still in there" Julie says cause Doc helped her into the waiting room after Gretel went under

"Yeah, I can't believe my little girl is having her first operation done and it's on her stomach" Gopher says as he gets a little mad right now cause it was probably something her old mother did to her to cause this

"Gopher once Doc comes out you can go in and hold her to your heart's content like I did when they were putting her to sleep" Julie says to him

"She probably knew mama would hold her before the operation and dada will hold her after" Gopher says to her

Soon the Captain comes to feed Marisol

"Hey Captain, here to feed Marisol?" Isaac asks him

"Yeah, it's time for her feeding and she is getting better and better every time I feed her, she is such an angel" Merrill says as he went to get Marisol Stubbing

"I bet she is, and she probably loves to cuddle after?" Julie asks him

"Yeah, she does she is sure a cuddle bug I would read to her before she goes to sleep, and she loves it I can't wait to play with her when she gets older" Merrill says as he heats up a bottle for Marisol

Merrill changes her and he cuddles her back up

"Marisol want to go wait in the lobby with Julie and Gopher as we wait to hear about your friend?" Merrill asks her after he had changed her damp diaper

Marisol coos up at him cause she loved to see the others

"I take that as a yes come on then, and we can wait for your bottle to cool" he says as he takes the warm bottle to the lobby to feed her

Merrill grabs her I. V's that she had, and they go and wait with the others

"Soon sweetheart you won't need these, and you will be able to be with me in my cabin where you will be comfortable" he says as he talks to her as he heads out to the waiting room with her

"Hi Marisol" Julie says when she saw the baby that the Captain had

The Captain waves for Marisol

"Look how little her hands are" Isaac says when he saw her hands

"Yeah, and she had a good grip" Merrill says as he was going to feed Marisol

(Later)

Marisol was in her milk coma and she was out like a light while the others waited

"Gopher, Julie" doc says as he comes out

Gopher and Julie stood up cause the operation was over

"Gretel is going to be okay she will have to stay here for a few days to recover from the surgery, so when Marisol is released is when Gretel is going to be released cause my friend is going to check on both girls" Doc says cause he told his friend about Marisol and Gretel

Julie was ready to cry when she heard the news, so Isaac held her while Gopher went in to get her and hold her

"Merrill I'll take Marisol cause it's almost time for her medicine and I need to change her I.V: Doc tells him

Merrill hands Marisol over and he kisses her good night and he was going to sleep in the waiting room cause her next feeding was going to be coming
