Stan and Soos continued driving through the forest and up ahead Stan finally spotted her and gasped.

"Soos! Stop the car!"

Soos practically slammed on the breaks.

"What is it, Mr. Pines?!"

"It's her, Soos," Stan sighed dreamily and pointed ahead to where Marilyn was standing a few feet away along with his car and what appeared to be a racoon? Her pet cat maybe? But no matter. What mattered to him was that his ex-wife had returned. "Ah, she looks just as beautiful as the day we first met all those years ago."

"Whoa! That's your wife, Mr. Pines?!" Soos exclaimed and he became all excited. "Oh! Oh! Can I meet her Mr. Pines? Can I?! Can I?!"

Stan groaned and turned in to his demands. "Fine! But don't do anything stupid or weird!"

"You got it Mr. Pines!" Soos saluted. Then he started searching through his truck. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to find my diary to record this historic occasion!"

Stan rolled his eyes as he climbed out of the truck and headed to see his ex-wife once more after all this time.

Far ahead, Eda was waiting patiently and that's when she saw him appearing in the distance. Her ex-husband Stanley Pines walking up to her along with that weird tubby man that hung out with him earlier. Eda assumed he was his assistant like King was to her.

"Here he comes, King," Eda told him. She had a look of love in her eyes. "He looks just as handsome as the day I first met him at that casino."

"Oh," King became all wide eyed, placing his paws on his cheeks in anticipation. "This is so exciting! I can't believe-"

"Shush! Don't do anything and stay here! We can't let them see you!"

"What?" King's mood dropped and he became all pouty. "Whyyyyy?"

"Because demons don't exist in the human world. You don't want them to become suspicious of you let alone me when they see you hanging out with me do you?"

"Fine! But I'll be watching from afar along with some popcorn! I can't miss this!" King exclaimed as he climbed into Stan's car. He peaked out the window and came prepared with a bag of popcorn ready to watch the reunion show.

Eda sighed then turned her attention back to Stan who was coming closer to her in each and every step. She took a deep breath then started making her way towards him as well.

The two came closer and closer to each other. And when they finally reached each other, they just stared at one another for a long time.

"Marilyn…."

"Stanley…."

They stared at each other some more.

Finally Stan chuckled and broke the silence. "Wow, it's been 40 years since we last saw each other and you look like you haven't aged a bit!"

"Oh, yeah," Eda chuckled nervously. "Well, I always dye my hair and beauty products can do wonders for the skin and they keep you looking as fine and fierce as ever, you know?"

"Yeah, I-"

"MR PINES EX WIFE! IT'S REALLY YOU!"

Soos exclaimed and practically embraced Eda, really taking her by surprise.

"It is such an honor to meet you! I have so many questions. First off, what secrets do you know about Mr. Pines? Why did you abandon such a swell guy like him?!" Soos rambled on and on.

"Uh, well, I-" Eda didn't even know what to say with this weird man's continuous and rapid asking of questions.

"Okay Soos! Put my ex wife down!" Stan ordered. "It's been nearly 40 years and I think she and I need some time to catch up alone."

"But Mr. Pines I have so many questions to ask her!" Soos whined. "Like what made her interested in you and-"

"Uh, you wanna know more about me?! Then uh," Eda looked around, desperately trying to find an excuse for this weird chubby man to leave her and Stan be.

Finally she caught sight of King watching from the car and smirked. "How would you like to play with my cat?"

Soos paused and became all wide eyed and excited. "Oh my goodness! You have a kitty cat? Yes i would very much like to see him!"

"Perfect! Lemme just bring him out of your car!"

"Wait, Marilyn, you brought your cat with you?" Stan asked, scratching his head.

"Um, yes, he uh, is very lonely when I'm away so I decided to bring him here." Eda lied. "Oh, I hear him calling me lemme get him!"

Eda practically rushed over and opened the door to the car.

"Ooooh, so how's it going over there?" King questioned.

"Fine, fine, now listen King I need you to act like a cat so you can distract that chubby man so I can have some alone time with Stanley," Eda ordered him.

"What?! I refuse to play something that goes against my very demonic character! I am nothing like a cat!" King pouted.

Just then King caught sight of his tale waving in front of him and he became all wide eyed and excited.

"Oh! Come here!" Then he started chasing it like a real cat.

Eda rolled her eyes. "Sure right. Look, just please do this for me King. I really want and need to catch up with Stanley. And besides I saved you from that monster you tried to train, so you really owe me one here."

Realizing that Eda was right, King sighed and surrendered. "Okay, Eda. But I'm only doing this for you."

Eda smiled. "I knew you'd see it my way and thanks King."

"Yeah, yeah." King hopped into her hands and Eda clutched him to her chest as she took him over to Stan and Soos.

"Okay, here he is! This is my adorable 'kitty' King!"

"Oh my god! He is so cute!" Soos exclaimed as he rushed over and admired King.

Stan however, took one look and King and scratched his head in confusion. "That is the weirdest looking cat I've ever seen. Where on earth did you find him, Marilyn?"

"Oh, well I found him at the pet shelter a few years back. And when I saw this poor little creature I thought well I just had to buy and rescue him! And look I even made him a tiny adorable skull hat which you must never ever remove! He loves it so much that he never wants it to be taken off!"

"Awww, well his little skull hat is adorable!" Soos smiled, patting him on the head. "What happens if you take it off?"

"He will attack you and you will be in pain. I know. I experienced it." Eda said.

"Oh," Soos nodded.

Stan shrugged. "Eh. I've seen weirder animals in this town."

"Yeah, but um anyway, would um you like to learn more about me by spending time and babysitting my cat while I spend the day catching up with Stanley?"

"Of course! I am at your service Mr. Pines' Ex wife!"

He then took King from Eda and started cuddling him. "Oh, Mr. Pines' ex wife cat we are gonna have the bestest time! I'll have my grandma make us some cookies, then I show you my scrapbook and then I'll give you the best tummy rubs and-"

Cookies? Tummy rubs? King thought as his eyes widened in delight as Soos continued rambling and took him away. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Maybe he would enjoy this.

As soon as Soos left with King, Eda turned her attention back to Stan. "Whew. So we're alone.. Once more."

"Yeah, I apologize that was my employee Soos. he can be… very weird and strange sometimes."

"Oh, no it's okay. I dealt with many weird people myself so it's fine."

There was a long silence.

"So, uh, Marliyn," Stan finally blurted out. "So where have you been? What have you been up to all these years since you stole my car the first time?"

"Huh? Oh I-" Eda paused and rubbed her arm nervously and avoided eye contact.

Eda was hoping she would avoid this conversation for so long. She just didn't know what to do. Should she really tell him the truth that she really was a witch under a curse? But would he still love her?

What's a witch girl to do?
