" I am Natsu Dragneel. In my world, my power is known as a Fire Dragon Slayer"
Natsu introduced himself shocking the members of Night Raid.
" Fire Dragon Slayer? By slayer, you mean your power slay dragons?" Nanjenda asks.
" It's one of them. My power is thought by the actual dragon." Natsu answers her.
" Why would a dragon teach some power to slay them?" Tatsumi asks in confusion.
" That you have to learn from the history of Dragon Slaying. In my world, it's known as Lost Magic. And for my first story. I am not from this world. I came from the world called Earthland where people are using magic as part of their lives." The Night Raid members stare at him in awe. A world where magic is part of their normal lives. They wonder what it's like living there.
" Hah! Looks like I got it right!" Leone exclaimed pointing at Natsu.
" Got it right?" Natsu asks in confusion.
" When I found you, I heard you mention the word, Fiore... And the fact you can use fire without owning a Teigu. It's just a theory of me that you are from a different world but I always wonder how you get here." Leone said to him.
" She is right. There are times you slip up in your words that got us suspicious" Akame added.
" Why you didn't confront me earlier?" Natsu asks in shock. After all, they are already suspecting him but they still didn't confront him.
" At first, we thought you're a spy from the Empire. But that changes when you are serious in destroying the empire." Nanjenda answers him.
" Wait. The three of you suspected him? How about you? Tatsumi, Mine, and Schere? Did you also suspect him?" Raba asks since he's one of them that did not suspect Natsu.
" I never really seen Natsu use his power. I thought he is a great swordsman since he is using a sword" Tatsumi answered to Raba who has a look of shock.
" I'm not a great swordsman. I actually went for an instant kill and never spar using a sword" Natsu explained to Tatsumi who nods in understanding.
" I thought he is using a Teigu" Mine answered while Schere nod in agreement.
" I can relax knowing that I'm not the only one not suspecting him," Raba said sighing in relief.
" If your from another world. How did you get it in here?" Leone asked looking at Natsu.
" How I got here is by accident. I thought that I died but I'm shocked when I woke up in an unfamiliar place. It's still a miracle that I'm still alive." Natsu answers. They look at Natsu and accepted his explanation
" You said earlier that Dragon Slaying is thought by an actual dragon. Does that mean Dragon still exist in your world?" Schere asks Natsu who is in deep thought.
" That's still a mystery until now but I will try to explain... To many people, Dragons are considered extinct 400 years ago. But Igneel, my dad who is a dragon thought me my magic. On July 7, 777. Igneel along with the other dragons gone missing, we thought that they left us but a year ago, we discover that they seal themselves inside us to stop our dragonification, and to stop Acnalogia." Natsu explained.
" Wait. Slow down, Bro... I have so many questions. But first, What is dragonification? Why they seal themselves inside you? And who the hell is Acnalogia?!" Tatsumi shouts in confusion holding his head with information overload. Natsu smirks softly looking at Tatsumi with amusement.
" First of all, Dragonification is a process where the mage that uses dragon slayers began to change into dragons caused by the excessive use of the magic, from what I've been told, by sealing themselves inside is the antibodies that stop us from transforming into dragons. They also prolong their lives since they are planning to stop Acnalogia" Natsu explained.
" Is there something wrong when you turn into dragons? Isn't it something cool?" Tatsumi said in awe looking at Natsu.
" I think there are some side effects of transforming into dragons. I don't know what kind of side effects but the only thing example I know is Acnalogia" Natsu answered.
" Wait. Does that mean that Acnalogia is a human that turned into a dragon?" Mine ask
" Yes. And he starts killing and creating havoc whenever he goes. I think it's one of the side effects of dragonification. I faced him twice and almost died." Natsu said sadly remembering the fear he felt facing Acnalogia.
" How did you survive facing him?" Schere asks.
" The first one is pure luck or with the help of our First Master Mavis who cast a spell called Fairy Sphere that save us from Acnalogia's attack. Thought the consequences is our time." Natsu explained.
" Fairy Sphere?" Leone asks
" It's one of the spells that act as a barrier. Though inside the barrier are time frozen, means we are frozen for 7 years." Natsu answers Leone making their jaws drop in shock.
" Then... Does this mean you're older than boss!?" Raba asks in shock receiving a smack from Nanjenda.
" Yes. Though I never aged due to the Fairy Sphere so I'm still the same age as you and my body still stay the same." Natsu explained shrugging his shoulder.
" Wow... Your world is full of amazing powers." Leone muttered.
" You said you face Acnalogia two times? When is the second one?" Mine asks.
" A year and a half ago in my world. We are facing demons when Acnalogia suddenly appears. That is also the time Igneel and other dragons who sealed themselves away suddenly show themselves. Igneel fought Acnalogia but he died in the battle" Natsu said sadly. He felt Leone's comforting hand at him making him smile slightly.
" But I promise Igneel to become stronger so I can defeat Acnalogia in the future. Though I never expected to be here, I think it is also given me time to improve my magic." Natsu said in determination.
" I know you can do it Natsu" Leone cheered tapping Natsu's back.
" She's is right Bro. I am sure you will become stronger than before. Then, I swear to train hard" Tatsumi grinned feeling pump up to train.
" Is there another way for other people to learn dragon slaying?" Akame asks Natsu who looks at her.
" Aside from learning from actual dragons. The other is by inserting a dragon lacrima inside the body making them a dragon slayer. Though they are known as Second Generation of Dragon Slayer." Natsu answers Akame who nods at his answers.
" We saw you breathing and eating fire? Is it part of your magic?" Mine asks
" Yes. Since I'm known as Fire Dragon Slayer. I can eat fire to replenish my magic. I also can use fire in my attack." Natsu explained.
" With your power. We can defeat the Empire easily." Tatsumi said feeling positive at Natsu's power.
" I am very confident in my power but this world. I start to become cautious. Since I don't know what kind of power the Empire has. And unlike my world, this world won't hesitate to kill me when they learn that I don't use Teigu. Or worse, they might hunt me and use me for another reason" Natsu explained stopping Tatsumi from his thoughts. In Earthland, he has no problem using his power recklessly since it can replenish easily but here. There's not much ethernano in the area so replenishing his magic will take a long time. It's not in his character but he needs to act more cautious than before.
" That's a wise idea that you hide it. Knowing the Empire. If they learn of your power, they will surely hunt you" Nanjenda said in agreement. Natsu's power is a great factor against the Empire and if they learn that he is using magic, there's a big chance that he will be hunted.
" You are right. Sorry, bro. I just got excited." Tatsumi muttered sending an apologizing look at Natsu who nods accepting his apology.
" I understand your enthusiasm Tatsumi. As much as I like to end the empire. I can't do much without knowing that they might be hiding something. And I still don't know how powerful they are" Natsu answers
" I understand Bro"
" Now that it's all cleared up. You must tell us your adventure you've been through and what kind of place is Earthland" Leone said hugging Natsu from behind and grinning at him. Natsu sigh and smiles as he told them the adventure he experiences in Earthland. He told them about his job, about the Fairy Tail guild. And about his nakamas in Fairy Tail. They all listen in awe and amazement as Natsu told his story.
" Wow. Your world is completely complicated but still amazing." Raba said.
" I envy the adventure you experience in your world. It must be hard for you to adjust in this world where it's killed or be killed" Schere said looking at Natsu in concern.
" You can say that. When I first enter this world. I thought it will be the same as Fairy Tail but when I saw in my own eyes how they treat human beings. It opens my eyes but I told myself that maybe I can remove the roots of this evil so the others can change. But when I face the intruders and listen to how they enjoy what they are doing. It's a final snap in my head. And I realize the reality of the situations. This is not Earthland. This is not Fairy Tail. People here are very different compared to my world. Every time I kill, I feel the heaviness in my heart and felt guilty at what I'm doing but when I see the result, seeing the victims free from the clutches of that evil. It makes me smile that they are avenged and saved. I always thought that if I ever came back to Earthland. Will they accept a killer like me. Will-" Natsu stop himself from crying when he feels Leone hug him tightly from behind.
" I understand" Leone said softly. "Killing will never be easy. That's a realization to all of us... The fact that you still feel guilt shows how kind you are. I know you always smile in front of us, but your eyes reflected the pain and worries you felt. But remember that we will always here for you. We Night Raid are all together. Fighting as one" Leone said softly.
" Stop thinking about what they will think of you. From what you told us about your friends. I am sure they will understand." Akame said kneeling in front of Natsu and wiping his tears. She smiles at him making him froze in his place.
" They are right. And if they say something to you. We are here to knock them off" Mine boasted
" You are part of Night Raid. We understand you've been through. Though you not alone" Raba added.
" We are here for you," Schere added.
" We will help you to find your way back home. Just like you help us dealing with the Empire" Nanjenda said.
" Don't worry bro. I will help you find your way back home" Tatsumi added
" Thank you, everyone. I appreciate it. But first, I will make sure that we end the corruption in this empire before I go back to my world." Natsu said as the rest of the Night Raid agree with him. Natsu then looks at Leone and smiles at him.
" And I will make sure you're coming with me... Well, if that is what you want" Natsu said shyly. Leone grin in amusement as she stares at Natsu.
" Is that why you want my answer after your story because of this?" Leone asked in a teasing manner confusing those around them.
" What answer?" Raba asked looking at the two.
" Ohh. I forgot to tell them. I and Natsu are dating" Leone announced in a cheerful voice making their jaws drop
"""" WHAT???!!"""
" Ehhhh?! Natsu?! Your dating Leone!?" Raba asked in shock while Natsu nods at him while blushing.
" Well. That was I want to ask Leone but there is still something I forget to tell her.." Natsu said. Leone look at him in confusion.
" And What is it?" Leone asked
" Well. How can I say this? In Dragon culture. Once a dragon falls in love it means eternity. We fall in love once but when a dragon is a king. Their son can take two to three mates" Natsu said. He whispered the last one but they still heard what he said.
""" WHHHAAAT?!!"""
" You will get harem?! You lucky bastard!" Raba shouted while pointing at Natsu
" Then. It means there is someone else that will be your mate?" Leone asked.
" Yeah. But it is not simple because there will be anyone that can be my potential mate but that doesn't mean they are automatically my mate. They are officially my mate when I will give them a dragon mark that indicates that they are the one I chose to be my mate.." Natsu said.
" How does that even work? Is it like seeing them then you know already?" Tatsumi asks in confusion. Natsu shakes his head and looks at them.
" No. It's not like that. It depends on the bond we have with each other. You can compare it to someone who can date anyone but chose someone to become their girlfriend or someone they think they can marry in the future. Though in dragon culture, marking someone means claiming them as your wife. And you need permission from them that you can mark them. You cannot mark someone forcefully" Natsu explained to them.
" Oh... That means marking someone is very serious. You can't mark anyone by a single glance since it's eternity so you have to form deeper bonds with them" Raba said, understanding Natsu's explanation.
" Interesting and you think my decision will change?" Leone asked raising her brow.
" Yeah. Since even if I only want you. Dragon cultures are absolute" Natsu said. His eyes widen when he felt Leone's lips against him.
" Then. This means that my mind still does not change even if I have to share you with the other 2. I will just make sure that our bond will be deeper so you can mark me in the future." Leone said winking at him.
" Since Leone is your potential mate. Did you have another potential mate?" Tatsumi asked
" Well. Leone is one of them and I also find another potential mate though I will not tell anyone who it is." Natsu smirking at Tatsumi.
" Is she a member of Night Raid? Or Is she from your world? " Tatsumi asked.
" Who knows. " Natsu said smiling coyly at them not giving a vague answer. Though looking at grinning Leone, he can tell that she has an idea of who is he talking about.
Capital
Inside the capital is a facility room where peoples are torturing inside.
Men and women were being cut their body parts little by little. First is the left leg, the other leg. Blood flow in the table as the people are naked while they are being tortured.
Screams
Plead
Laughing
Looking at people who are tortured have no hope in their lives. Keeping alive to experience more suffering is behind the walls of Capital.
Men enjoying torturing them as they are laughing while cutting and boiling the people alive slowly to make them feel the pain.
" What is this? Looking at you all is just pathetic" a woman voice came behind. One of the guards has a tick mark hearing her comment.
" What did you say? Do you-" his voice was cut off when he sees a woman they all feared. The three men bowed in front of her.
""" Esdeath-sama!"""
" Were truly sorry. We didn't know that your back" one of the torturers said
" You guys are totally unskilled in the art of torture. It's pathetic. For instance. What is the temperature of the cauldron? If it's high. They die completely right?" Esdeath asked forming a huge block of ice and drop it inside the cauldron
" If it is in low temperature a bit then you can prolong their suffering even further," Esdeath said turning around and leaving the three torturers in their dream of adoring her.
Audience Room in Palace
Esdeath is kneeling in front of the emperor with her holding her cap at her side.
" Esdeath"
" Yes, your majesty?" Esdesth asked
" The conquered in North is superb and I will give you 10,000 piece of gold in your effort"
" I am grateful for you. Your majesty. We left no soldiers alive"
" Splendid. Now I apologize to you that you just arrive but I want you to deal with the group of Rebels which is Night Raid. I wish for you to focus on purging this group from my city"
" I understand. I would ask one thing your Majesty"
" Soldiers? You can use as many as you can"
" I heard that the enemy possesses a Teigu each of them and it takes a teigu to fight another Teigu so I would like five men Teigu users to be assembled in my group," Esdeath said shockingly the emperor.
" Hmm. Since the Sanjuushi members are dead. It may be possible. I leave the preparation to you"
" Yes, your majesty. I will see to it personally"
" Then I can be assured that peace shall return to the capital" The emperor sighed as the prime minister smile.
" Your Majesty. General Esdeath is loyal to the capital." The prime minister said
' Esdeath has no interest in politics. As long as she faces and destroys the enemy is everything to her. I control the empire. She is our trump card' the prime minister thought while smiling darkly
" I don't believe giving you gold is suitable so I'll give you anything you desire. Titles or Lands?" The emperor asked
" I desire one thing," Esdeath said
" What is it?" The emperor asked
" I was thinking. It may be nice to try falling in love" Esdeath said shocking the prime minister and the emperor.
" T-that's right. You are in marriageable age yet you are not married" the emperor said
" But there are many men around that adores you," the prime minister said
" Those are pets," Esdesth said firmly.
" Then. May I suggest... Prime Minister is a good man" the emperor said pointing at the prime minister. He looks startled at the Emperor's suggestion.
" Wait A... your Majesty," the prime minister said
" As you say. He is a good man however with his blood pressure being so high. It is uncertain that he will live tomorrow" Esdeath said bluntly while the prime minister still eating not offended by what Esdeath said.
" I'm in perfect health. Thank you. Well then. What type of person will suit you? General" the prime minister asked. Esdeath brought a scroll between her bosom and unrolled it in front of them.
" Written in this scroll are things I most desire in a partner. Please inform me if anything in this criteria should appear" Esdeath said
" I understand. We shall keep an eye out" the emperor said. Esdeath and Prime minister walk outside and talk about things
Night Raid's Base
Natsu is inside his room staring at the sky outside letting tears flow in his eyes when someone enters his room.
Tatsumi who entered his room saw a tear in his eyes. He walks inside and stands in front of him.
" I take it that you still not used to it huh," Tatsumi said
" Who would be used when someone precious comrade died?" Natsu said
" Well. The one who is not affected and still the same is Akame. I'm amazed that she still compose herself. It is like she's used to it" Tatsumi said not seeing a fist to his face and showed a pissed look of Natsu.
" Do not say what you still don't know Tatsumi. Take me instead. I'm cheering all of you despite Bulat's death, I chose to hide this sadness with my smile cause it's painful. I don't want someone to see me cry. You should know that all of us here are comrades. The person who smiles the most is the one who sheds the tears more. Remember that Tatsumi. And doesn't mean that they didn't care if they didn't show any kind of reaction." Natsu said making Tatsumi's eyes widen, closing his eyes and clenching his fist
' How pathetic I am thinking about Akame like that. She is the one who is worried when we first take the job. Then. I say those words' Tatsumi thought looking at Natsu feeling grateful that he is there to straighten him up. He stands and smiles at Natsu.
" Thank you for clearing my mind," Tatsumi said.
" I am your bro. So it's natural for me to help you" Natsu said to Tatsumi who smile and leave the room.
It is now midnight and Natsu still can't sleep. He decides to go out of his room and saw Akame holding a food
" A midnight snack?" Natsu asked
" No. This is Bulat's favorite snack" Akame answered
" An offering for the dead" Natsu muttered seeing Akame's straight face.
Akame went to the Training ground with Natsu following her from behind. Akame brings the plate down and she sits down along with Natsu.
" Bulat always says that we have to keep training," Akame said. Natsu looks at her and from her look, he knows that she still holding it.
Natsu faces Akame. He brought her into a hug shocking Akame at his action.
" I did not see you cried even once. I know you still holding it inside you. We are all same. The pain of having your comrades died. I'm here so keep crying until your satisfied" Natsu whisper to her ear. What he heard next is Akame's crying softly.
Natsu holds her tightly as she cried on his shoulder.
" Bulat is a good man. It pained me with his death but I know it will hinder the mission. So I keep myself compose. It pained me that one of our dearest comrades is dead" Akame said letting tears flow in her eyes while her head still on Natsu's neck
" I promise that I will protect everyone. I will not let anyone die anymore. I will not let myself be killed. I will stay alive along with everyone so that you won't feel this kind of pain anymore. After ending the corruption in this world, we will see the Empire prosper. once again" Natsu said in a serious voice causing Akame to blush.
She can't describe the feeling she felt in Natsu's arm. She felt warmth for some reason and she feels that she is in a safe place.
" Thank you. Natsu"
Akame said falling asleep into Natsu's arms. Natsu just sighed and brushed her hair through his hands and carefully carry her in bridal style. He went inside her room and lay her in her bed. He heard her frown because of the loss of warmth. He smiles at her expression and covers her with a blanket and kisses her forehead.
He looks at Akame and smiles at her before he slowly went out of her room. He promised to himself before sleeping
' I'll protect them with all my power I got'
Meanwhile
As Natsu close the door. Akame slowly opens her eyes and she smiles to herself and touches her forehead where Natsu kisses her.
