I woke up confused, I had no clue where I was. All of a sudden it hit me, augh why! I thought. I sat up just to get a splitting headache. I looked around and my eyes landed on a silhouette sitting beside my bed, it was Jamie. I felt bad, he was probably worried. I slowly leaned down and planted a soft kiss on his forehead. Thank goodness he wasn't awake; I would have died. I slowly got up out of bed and decided that I would get a shower. I was so weak though that it took me a few minutes to get to the bathroom.
After I was done a much-needed shower, I got out, dried off, and quickly snuck out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around myself, to get a fresh pair of clothes out of my backpack. Except for a shirt of course since they were still all pink, so I just put the one back on that I had on before. Jamie was still fast asleep beside my bed, but I still got dressed in the bathroom, that would've been kind of weird if I hadn't.
Drying my hair, I walked out of the bathroom to see that Jamie was now awake. "What are you doing?" He asked.
"Getting a shower," I replied.
"Oh, uh, how long have you been up?"
"About half-an-hour, I think. How long was I asleep?" I asked as I put my dirt clothes in a pocket of my backpack.
"Uh," he said looking at the alarm clock that was beside his bed, it said 1:47, "The whole day."
"Hmm, nice," I said.
"H-how is that nice?" he asked in a louder voice then he had been using before. He was obviously worried about what had happened, so I went up to him and embraced him in a hug, this time neither of us backed or ran away, which I was grateful for. Since I was a lot shorter than him, my head rested on his chest.
Still with my arms wrapped around him, with tears in my eyes, I said, "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to."
"Hey, hey, it's okay it wasn't your fault, you were just stressed, I get it."
I looked up at him with tears still stinging my cheeks, "I'm so glad I was finally able to meet you, in real life I mean."
"Me too," He said as he set his head on top of mine, which wasn't too hard for him.
I backed away from him, "So, when did cupids thing run out?"
"Eh, not to long after you fainted," He said.
"Well do you know how Coral's doing?"
"She's fine, but I don't really know how to take care a child," He said rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, "So people have been taking turns taking care of her. I'm pretty sure the Demeter cabin has her now, but we'll have to wait till morning to get her since, you know, everyone's probably asleep right now."
"Well then lets go to bed so I can see her," I said excitingly. After that I crawled into bed and once again fell back to sleep.
This time I woke up to Jamie's alarm clock. Augh I have always and will always hate alarm clocks; I'm not much of a morning person. I got up and slowly walked over to the bathroom to brush my teeth, Jamie was already in there so we had to share the sink.
"Ready to go get Coral," said Jamie as he finished.
"I forgot about that!" I said, soon after I was racing out of the cabin and straight to the cabin with a garden in the back, which I was 90% sure was the Demeter cabin. I got up to the front door and knocked. A pretty green-eyed brunette opened the door.
"Hi, you must be looking for Coral. I'm Katie Gardener, nice to meet you," said Katie, she held her hand out for me to shake it, I reluctantly took it.
"Uh, yeah, how did you know?" I said.
"How wouldn't I know, you're the first ever children of Hera. Plus yesterday you destroyed the pavilion and half of the infirmary, and then put it back together. You're crazy powerful ya know."
"Well I might be powerful, but my curse sucks," I whispered, Katie laughed, she must have heard me.
All of a sudden the small body of Coral shoved its way in between Katie and the door, "Trish!" she yelled as she ran and hugged my legs. I knelt down and picked her up and kissed her on the head.
"Thank you so much for looking after her, it means the world to me."
"No problem," she said.
We then walked off back to the Hera cabin, as we get there Coral makes me put her down and she runs into the cabin. I walked in to see Coral with her little arms around Jamie's legs, I couldn't help but smile at that. Just then the breakfast bell rang and we headed out the door with Coral now in Jamie's arms.
As we walked to the pavilion I hear some yelling. I turn around and see Katie running after Travis, she was yelling something about giving something back while Travis laughed his head off. At the sight of them I started to laugh, I slowly lifted my hand and pointed two fingers at Travis, literally pausing in his tracks. That gave Katie time to catch up to him and snatch whatever was in his hands, I put my hand down, letting Travis out of my grasp. Katie looked over at me and smiled, "Thanks for your help!" She yelled to me.
"No problem!" I yelled back.
Katie turned around and started to head back to her cabin with a pouty Stoll on her heal. I laughed to myself and once again started towards the pavilion while Jamie and Coral followed beside me.
