Batman and his two birds finished their task grimly. Shutting down the GIW was definitely a League matter, as much as it pained him to do so, Batman needed some help. On the brightside, he knew enough about Danny to tell the kid his secret identity. Which was much more than he knew about Jason at the start.

Danny didn't seem to have a legal gardian. His parents had left him to Vladimir Masters, a friend from college who was also the mayor of their city, but it looked like Masters shared the same fate as Amity Park.

As dark as that was, Danny was an orphan. That meant the bat-brood had grown by one.

….

Yay torture flashback WARNING!

Danny was startled awake by the loud slam of his cell door opening. His blurry eyes focusing on the two agents coming to drag him back to the lab.

He was dragged onto the cold examination table, roughly bucked in, then left to shiver in the cold lab. He looked around wildly, looking distinctly feral.

The label door opened. Three agents walked in. They spread out around him. Observing his shaking form.

One rolled a small tray from somewhere out of sight. On top were scalpels, clamps and pinchers. The kinds of things used in surgeries. Danny struggled harder, shrieks failing to leave his muzzled mouth.

Another agent looked at him. "Give me a blind fold." He ordered.

"Why?" Another questioned.

"Blindfolded animals tend to not stress out so much. Can't have him passing out too soon."

….

This time Danny was in a large room. Also white.

He was too tired to do anything, barely even raising his gaze as agents came in. They roughly grabbed him and hooked him up to an IV. It would add just another dark bruise to his once pale skin.

As he laid there, his arm, the one with the IV in it, started burning. He gasped for breath as it quickly made its way around his body. An agony completely indescribable.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to blackout quickly. Only did the blackness of sleep reach him when his body finally gave out, several hours later. Lack of sleep and good nutrition will do that to a person.

….

Probably the worst part of his stay, was the days where he would get a nice meal, a glass of water and no tests. Those were the days Danny spent paranoid about when the pain would start again.

AN: I'm sorry for the incomplete chapter. I'm going to pause work on this story and work on another, in a fan base I'm currently more interested in. I'm not dropping this story, I have plans to complete it. But not right now.
