Havin' a hard time thinking of scenarios for them, I'm seriously not cut out to be a writer, haha.
Seriously, how do writers do it.
"Have you ever ridden a ferris wheel before?"
The brunet asked the slightly taller teen beside him. Hilbert and Nate thought the day was nice enough to warrant a trip to Nimbasa, seeing as it is the city of entertainment and a place where most tourist would thought of first in their mind when vacationing through Unova when Castelia isn't on the first of the list. It was the weekdays afternoon, a lot of people would be off at work or training, but the park of Nimbasa is still somewhat busy, with families, couples, and pokemons hanging around the small park to the right of the bustling city.
Two males were standing in front of the ferris wheel, mostly known to most as a couples ride as only two people are allowed to ride in it, making it quite a popular ride for those who are on dates or just wants to know people. Which was quite coincidental, Nate was away, having to take care of the Join Avenue and not wanting to ride the wheel anyways (he had rode it plenty of times - as he said it to Hilbert), so the two were left on their own accord.
"Not really, we don't have anything like this back in Kalos."
"Really now? I'd expect something considering you have a city like Lumious."
"You'd think, but our region mostly centers around fashion and the occcasional Pokemon battling, of course. We don't have any fun small parks like these, heck the closest thing would probably Route 4 and even then I still don't think it counts."
A small laughs left Hilbert's mouth as the two walk towards the entrance of the ride. The attendance gave them a slight side-glance, before accepting their payment and opening the carriage door for the two teens. They both seat at the opposite side of each other, and as the door closes, the ferris wheel slowly stars its ascend.
"I've actually never rode the ferris wheel as well, so this is my first time too, just for your information." Hilbert said with a small smile towards Calem, the latter being a bit surprised considering Hilbert has been living in Unova for his whole life, and not once had he experience something in his home region after adventuring through it for a few years now?
"Why?" Calem had to ask. "Well, for starters, the ride only allows two people at minimum. And considering I'm as single as a person can get, you can guess why." They both laughs a bit before Calem ask another question. "But Nate seems to have gotten on this ride a lot of times, and we both know that boy doesn't have a partner either, let alone anyone who'd be willing to ride it with him." Unless Nate somehow forced other people to ride with him, which begs the question of why in Arceus name would someone even do that. One would get bored of constantly riding this wheel after about 2-3 times.
"Easy, he finds people who needs another companion to ride this with. You know how sociable he is, he'd go up to a stranger and greets them like he's been friends with them for years. It's pretty much a daily routine for him now, he goes here whenever he have time to see if there's any poor lonely soul in need of a partner and he chats up with them while talking through the ride. It's pretty sweet of him." The smile on Hilbert's face widens a bit. Sure he's worried that Nate might get himself into trouble for doing such a thing, but knowing him being the former Pokemon Champion, he's not too worried for the young boy, that and the younger brunet seems to enjoy having chit-chats with random strangers he's met on this ride, sometimes returning people and they'd catch up on each other. It's, rather nice.
The ride finally reached the top part. And as the ride slowly moving to a stop, letting other passengers who wants to ride the wheel, the two teens looks out the window. Their eyes sparkles in amazement and awe, looking at the scenery of the view. One could see Route 4 and the skyscraper of Castelia's. A further look into the horizon, the silhouette of Skyarrow Bridge and the treetops of Pinwheel forest could be seen as well. The clear blue sky is still bright as the sun shines brightly for the day as little puffs of clouds float aimlessly. Overall, they were throughly enjoying the view before their enjoyment was finally distracted by the cart of the ferris wheel starts descending.
"That was amazing!" Calem exclaimed, wishing he had brought his phone out to take a picture of the view he had just seen, he'd love to share it to his friends back home in Kalos. Hilbert nodded with agreement, he finally gets why the ferris wheel is such a recommended tourist attraction. "I'd say, I don't think I'd mind riding this again someday in the future, haha."
A smirk appeared on Calem's face, "and I won't mind to be your 'date' partner again to ride this when that day comes."
"Don't hope for it French boy," Hilbert snickered, punching Calem lightly on the arm as the Kalosian also followed with a small laughter.
The ride finally reached the ground and the two walked out of the carriage, Hilbert thanking the worker. Outside the ride, Nate had been waiting for them for a few minutes and immediately starts waving when he sees the two of them walking out. Calem waved back and the trio walks towards the exit of the park.
