DAY 7: Love
What is love?
Ash was always asking himself that question.
Through his teenage years he did have a few different girlfriends. But none of them stayed. They always found the bad sides of his character too revolting to continue dating him.
Not that he would blame them. Since winning the title of Pokemon Champion his fighting technique had become a lot stronger and more dangerous. Rookie trainees were sometimes to afraid to battle him.
He had finally found real love.
Ash smiled to himself. When he was 16 he suddenly found himself falling for the most beautiful girl ever. She had these beautiful eyes, smile...it was as if a part of him was finally complete. Surely, they didn't have the same interests, but that didn't matter.
The proposal was terrifying.
First he had to ask her sister for their blessing. They gave it him, but not without a tough battle.
After that he had to plan it. He was thinking about proposing at the beach during sunset. It would make for a beautiful moment. But, it started to rain and the whole plan fell through.
He proposed in a cave.
But the wedding was perfect.
He had been really nervous about it. But it all came to good close. It was a normal wedding and surely, they were both extremely nervous, but everything went according to schedule...unlike the proposal.
And they lived happily ever after.
Ash looked down at the card that was attached to the flowers. The 24 year old man and his Pikachu both sighed.
He had asked the florist to write down something romantically, like a poem. But instead she had written random sentence, which didn't really had a smooth flow.
"What are you doing?"
Ash and Pikachu jumped at the voice and abruptly turned around.
Misty, his wife, walked towards them. She was wearing black short and a yellow t-shirt. Her long orange hair was tied up into a ponytail. The woman quirked an eyebrow at them and said; "Really...what is it?"
"Well..." Ash knew that he couldn't keep anything secret from her. He stepped aside, showing the flowers that were standing on the kitchen table.
"Are those for me?"
Misty pushed him aside and ran to the flowers. She opened the card attached to it and read it.
What is love?
He had finally found real love.
The proposal was terrifying.
And they lived happily ever after.
"I bought it since today because today is our anniversary." Ash said. "I know that the card is weird, but..."
"I love it." Misty said.
"Huh?"
Misty threw her hands around his neck. "I love it." She gave him a kiss.
"Great!" Ash yelled. "There's more planning to do! I was thinking about a romantic boat ride or dinner or..."
"How about we go and laid in bed all day and...you know."
Ash raised his eyebrows. "But you always love planning and doing activities."
"Not in the mood today..." Misty kissed his neck. She quickly stopped and looked up to see Ash with a giant blush on his face. She giggled and put her hands against his chest. "But if you insist that we go and do something else..."
"Wait!"
Ash sounded a bit desperate and Misty giggled.
"What?" She asked.
"Screw it." He pulled her up into bridal style and she yelped. "Let's do it."
Misty sighed. "Finally...then I can show you my new set."
"Set?" Ash looked down at her.
Misty pulled the top of her t-shirt a little bit down and Ash saw a glimpse of something blue.
Ash whistled between his teeth as they walked to the bedroom door.
"Interested?" Misty asked.
"Not even a little."
"Liar."
Ash laughed and Misty grinned. He closed the bedroom door behind them with a loud smack.
In the kitchen Pikachu stayed behind. The little rodent grabbed the card from the flowers and read it again.
What is love?
Pikachu had no idea, but he was sure that Ash and Misty both felt it for each other, even in their weirds little ways.
And if that wasn't love, then he didn't knew what was.
THE END
