"What's happening to you?" asked Zhalia.
"I used up to much of my life force by fighting the leaders, so I'm dying," said Lok.
"You… you promised you would come back safe, but you knew that this would happen?" asked Sophie with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, this was the only way," said Lok who was also crying.
"There has to be a way to save him," said Den.
"There is, Life for Life!" said Eathon as he got closer to his son. A flash of light then surrounded them, and when it had faded, everyone was stunned to find Lok back in solid form and his father as the one who was fading.
"What did you do, dad?!" asked Lok with a mixture of shock and horror.
"Life for Life was the only spell I could read on the tablet, it's my destiny to save you by giving up my life," said Eathon.
"But I just got you back," said Lok.
"Even if there was a way to save you other than this I wouldn't be able to leave Huntik, the curse bound me to this world for good," said Eathon. A portal then opened in the sky above them.
"Looks like we have to leave," said Dante as he looked at the portal.
"Tell your mom and sister sorry for me and that I love all of you know matter what," said Eathon as Lok and the others were pulled in.
"Dad!" said Lok while reaching out for him. Meanwhile, back on Earth.
"The energy's started to spike again, I think the portal is starting to open again," said Clements as he ran out of a tent.
"Everyone be ready in case it's a threat!" said Montehue as he and several others readied amulets. The portal then opened, Dante and the others falling out of it.
"You all made it back," said Tersly.
"We'll have to talk later," said Dante as he noticed a crying Lok who was being held by Sophie.
