The scrumptious smell of fried eggs, sausage patties, bacon, bagels and hash browns filled Thea's apartment. Captain Don Cragen was seated at the breakfast bar enjoying the meal and speaking with Thea.

"So, except for Jeff Shaw, this is revenge against the other victims' fathers for a gang rape they committed twenty-five years ago?" Cragen asked as he discreetly feed Milo a small piece of bacon.

From the refrigerator Thea answered him as she refilled her glass with pineapple juice, "That's what it looks like and they got away with it. This case…I'm not condoning what these sisters, their sons and their nephews did. But I understand their anger. Then I think about Jeff…based on what CSU found and what Lupo and Bernard saw, it looked like he was only killed because he tried to escape with Brie. His fingerprints were on his and Brie's blindfolds.

Ugh, I hate it when a case isn't black and white, especially when two of the victims were bullies. They didn't deserve to die but now they'll never grow up and learn from their mistakes. And this is all because of the sins of their fathers."

When she sat down, he reached out and touched her shoulder, "Thea, I know how you feel but remember we don't get to-"

She finished his sentence, "Pick the vic, I know, I know."

"On the bright side, Ross sounds impressed with you based the call we had the other day and Sambath says Lupo seemed really charmed by you." A little grin was on his lips.

An irritated sigh came from her, "I tell you both that I'm on a break from dating and it goes in one ear and out the other."

"We just want you to be happy, Thea. And well, Sambath would make a wonderful grandmother."

"Oh my God…" She held her face in her hands and groaned. "Is this the only reason why you wanted to have breakfast this morning?"

He shook his head, "Of course not. Sure, I want you to find someone who makes you as happy as your mother makes me. But I also wanted to let you know that yesterday, I um, I met with my lawyer to change my will."

She straightened her posture and leaned forward, "Is everything OK?"

"Yes, I changed it so that if anything happens to me, you and your mother would inherit my entire estate. It's not much but it's something," he smiled at her.

Her mouth fell open; "But Don, you have a sister, nieces and nephews, actual family."

He put his arm around her, "You and your mother are also my family. In fact, I called my sister the other day to talk about this decision and she insisted that I do this. This feels right, Thea."

Moved by his actions and words, she felt her eyes become wet as she kissed his cheek and hugged him, "Thank you, Don…"

He kissed her forehead then an alarm on his phone went off, "I need to leave now or I'll be late for work. I'll see you soon."

"OK Don, have a good day."

He smiled at her as he put on his hat and coat, "You too, Thea. And good luck with your case."

That morning Pamela Shaw walked into Major Case's squad room with Officer Cordova by her side. She was wearing her coat over her maid uniform. Lupo immediately stood up and walked over to them.

"Detective Lupo, can we talk somewhere in private?" Pamela asked him.

"Of course, this way." Lupo lead her into Interview Room A.

After they sat down she told him, "You spoke to Sarah yesterday and I thought that you might have some updates this morning?"

After a beat, he said, "Well um, I can't give too many details because our investigation is still ongoing. But what I can tell you is your son wasn't a target. He…he was killed because he was trying to escape with Brie. We found evidence that supports this. If he hadn't gone out with Brie that night, he would be alive right now."

Her jaw went slack, "He was trying to save her…that was him. He always cared about others' safety and well-being. But the killer intended to kill Brie and the others kids? Why? The Breckeridges are wonderful people and they're our friends. I can't imagine why anyone would hate them."

He looked into her eyes; she reminded him of his late mother but he had a job to do, "That's what we're still trying to find out, ma'am."

She slowly nodded then stood up, "I have to get to work. Thanks for talking to me; Detective."

"Don't mention it. And I'll call you if there are any new developments."

She nodded at him as she walked over to the door where Officer Cordova was waiting for her.

During the drive to interview a former employee of The Stratton, Elliot and Olivia were at a red light and two blocks away from their destination.

From the passenger's seat, he turned to her, "So, how did Kelly's friend take it when you had to cancel your date with him yesterday?"

Shrugging, Olivia said, "He caught a real bad case of food poisoning from the night before and hasn't recovered yet. So he wasn't exactly in the mood for dinner and a movie."

"That's unfortunate," he lied and hid it well, "although Sambath's cooking beats any fancy restaurant in this city."

"Definitely. And I'll deny ever saying this but you have a point, it was funny to see how embarrassed Thea became when Sambath just showed up."

He chuckled, "It was and out of all us, she's the easiest one to rile up."

"Yeah well, the next time she steals something from you, you have no right to act annoyed."

"Oh come on Liv, you know that I'm still gonna do it." He grinned.

A light laugh came from her, "You're like the older brother that she never wanted."

He briefly rolled his eyes before saying to her, "Anyway, all this talk about the winter ball it reminds me of when my old man gave me $50 bucks to rent a tux for senior prom. He was so stingy. But my grandma happily paid me to get a corsage for Kathy and helped me a rent decent tux. I remember it because prom night was when I found out that Kathy was pregnant. God it feels like a lifetime ago."

She nodded, "Tell me about it. I only got a deal on my prom dress because the hairdresser I was sweeping up hair for, her sister owned a dress shop."

Without thinking he said, "Well you probably looked great in it. Your date must have been a real happy guy."

She briefly paused at his complimented then grinned, "Oh I did. Isaac loved it but he was and still is gay."

His blue eyes shot open, "You were his beard?"

She shook her head, "No, he was out and proud which was not easy in the 1980s. We also had a lot of fun. And we're here."

When Elliot and Olivia arrived at the Brooklyn home of Antoine Britt, they were greeted by an attractive espresso skinned woman in her early thirties with a slender figure. She introduced herself as Danai Britt, the daughter of Antoine. They followed her into the kitchen and sat at the table where a laptop was open.

"On Wednesday, my father had a stroke and on Thursday his doctor told me that he was…there was no activity in his brain. We're taking him off life support tomorrow morning and today, my young brother along with my aunts and uncles are flying in." She nodded as she wiped away tears from her dark eyes.

Olivia placed an empathetic hand on her shoulder, "We're so sorry."

Danai nodded, "Thank you Detective Benson and I know why you're both here. It's about those rich dead kids and their parents."

Elliot looked at her, "It is. Ms. Britt, what do you know?"

She paused before turning towards the laptop and opened the media player, "I thought about lying to you both because my father was a good man but this haunted him and for good reason. This is devastating for me and once it becomes public, the rest of my family will take it real hard…but this is his dying wish and the truth must come out. According to his lawyer, they filmed this when Congressman Bennett won his primary this year." Danai clicked play and the three of them watched the video.

After Elliot and Olivia arrived at the squad room, they immediately went into Captain Ross's office. A few seconds later, Captain Ross called the rest of the team into his office. Goren and Eames were currently in the field interviewing a former Carnegie Hill Academy teacher who was a chaperone at the 1983 Winter Ball at Eden Manor. The detectives surrounded the flat television that was mounted in the top right front corner of Ross's office.

In the video, Antoine Britt stated that he was the night janitor at the Stratton Country Club. He had witnessed the rape of both sisters but didn't know their names and then he identified each rapist by name. Antoine also described the scars and moles he saw on each of the rapists' bodies. Dreston and the rest of the Scorpion Crew caught him after the sisters had escaped the country club. Then the Scorpion Crew offered to pay him off for his silence. At the time, he and his wife were expecting their second child. They struggled to make ends meet and lived in a dangerous neighborhood. His wife had already been mugged once. For five million dollars, they bought Antoine's silence. At the end of the video, he apologized for keeping their heinous crime a secret and for taking their money. He also apologized to his family and the rape victims for being complicit.

A collective heavy sigh came from the detective after the video finished. After they left Ross's office, Goren and Eames arrived, the latter spoke.

"Kimberly Maxwell remembers Lily G and that her last name is Italian but she couldn't recall what it was, exactly. She does remember that Lily brought a box of zeppoles with her to the ball. And that after Lily left the dance with Roger Breckeridge, her date; her sister showed up looking for her. Now, she doesn't know the sister's name but she was also a redhead with blue eyes and she was a few years older than Lily."

Nodding Captain Ross then handed them the DVD of Antoine Britt's confession, told them what it was and said that the victims' parents were going to arrive in a half hour.

The Erlichs and The Drestons were first to arrive. The Erlichs brought their 11-year-old son, Redding. He was wearing a Batman t-shirt underneath his open winter coat and held a sketch book in his hands.

Elliot gave the child a friendly smile as he guided him to Thea, "Redding this is Detective Thea Ma, she'll bring you to the waiting room and help you find something to do while we talk with your parents."

"OK, cool Batman necklace!" The young boy pointed at her pendant.

"Thanks Redding; I just love your t-shirt. You can call me Thea," she grinned at him as she led him to the waiting room.

Minutes later, the Breckeridges and Malicks arrived. Ross received a phone call on his mobile phone; The Bennetts were set to arrive at 1 p.m. after leaving Liam's funeral.

The Drestons were in Interrogation Room A with Goren and Eames. Goren was slowly circling the table as Eames was updating them on the investigation. He spoke once Eames met his stare.

"Mr. Dreston, would…would you do anything for Abby?"

Jack Dreston's brows crinkled, "What kind of a question is that?"

"Just please, answer it." Goren told him.

"Uh, of course. I'd die for her, she was my child."

Goren nodded, "I believe you. So, we need you to tell us what happened on the night of December 10th, 1983."

A grave look came to Dreston face then he scowled, "This is ludicrous, Leslie we're leaving and then we're filing a lawsuit against these detectives for slander!" He grabbed his wife's hand and pulled her up as he got to his feet.

"Jack, why are acting like this? What happened on that night?" Leslie asked with a concerned expression and tone.

"I'll tell you at home but right now we've getting out of here!"

Goren stood in front of the door, "Your daughter paid the ultimate price for your greatest sin. The very least you can do is bring her murderer and rapist to justice. Come on!"

He got into Goren's face, "Get out of my way detective, or else I'll take your badge and you'll lose everything!"

Goren reluctantly stepped aside allowing them to exit the room but he and Eames followed the couple.

Logan and Barek were in Interrogation Room C with the Malicks.

Barek leaned forward, "Mr. Malick, my partner and I want you to know that you cannot be prosecuted or even charged."

Malick asked, "For what? I haven't done anything wrong."

Logan glared at him from his seat, "Yeah you did, on the night of the Winter Ball at Eden Manor, twenty-five years ago."

Malick's eyes narrowed, "Nothing happened that night and we're done here."

His wife Patricia was puzzled by his reaction, "What…What's going on, Michael?"

"These detectives are desperate and we're not gonna waste our time with them any longer! Come on, Patricia!"

Captain Ross walked out of the viewing room and followed them.

Ken Erlich demanded to know where his son was once he and Debra entered the bullpen. Redding popped his head out of the waiting room with Thea behind him.

"Dad, what's wrong?" He asked his father as he walked over to him.

He gestured for son to come to him, "Son, we're going home now."

The Breckeridges and the Drestons also barged into the bullpen with Goren, Eames, Lupo and Bernard trailing them.

Elliot took the lead, "You've gotten away with this horrible crime for decades and you're never gonna pay the price. So help us, help your kids now by giving us those girls' names!"

Patricia looked at Elliot, "What are you talking about? What girls?"

Eames answered her, "Twenty-five years ago, your husbands gang raped two sisters at The Stratton Country Club on the night of the Winter Ball at Eden Manor. These sisters and their sons are responsible for rapes and murders of your kids."

The wives had same shocked looks on their faces.

"That's insane; my husband is not a rapist!" Sarah hollered.

Bernard looked straight into her eyes, "He has a two-inch jagged scar on his lower right back."

Her mouth dropped open at his words.

Goren pointed at Dreston as he tilted his head sideways, "And you, you have two port wine stains on your right inner wrist and on your inner right thigh."

Leslie stepped back, "How do you know that?"

Olivia said, "It's the same reason why I know that you," she pointed at Ken Erlich, "have a crescent birthmark on the back of your left shoulder."

Debra pulled her head back as she looked at her husband's stunned face.

Barek walked over to Michael Malick, "And you have a mole shaped like Michigan on the left side of your chest. It's because other than the sisters you raped, the only other witness came forward and described the rapes in graphic detail."

Malick stepped towards to her, "That's a lie, he's currently brain dead."

Logan got in between them towering over Malick and Barek, "That's funny; my partner didn't mention the witness's name or gender. You've kept tabs on him."

Fear came to Malick's face.

"Oh my God…" Patricia let go of his hand and cupped her mouth with both hands.

Munch stood up from his desk, "Antoine Britt is brain dead but he filmed his confession weeks ago when your good ol' buddy Representative Clarke Bennett won his primary. Britt's going off life support tomorrow. But thankfully his daughter, she has more courage than him and she gave us his taped testimony."

There were tears in Redding's eyes as he spoke to his father, "You're the bad guy?"

Ken Erlich grabbed his son's hand, "No I'm not and we'll talk about this when we get home. You're all finished here and you'll be lucky to even get jobs as rent-a-cops on Staten Island!" He glared at them before dragging his son and wife out of the room.

The other couples followed his lead and exited the squad room.

Captain Ross looked at his detectives, "Well, that went swimmingly."

Barek exhaled then her eyes went to her and Logan's box from the killers. She remembered what Eames had said that morning and took out the January calendar page, "Lily G…is Lily Gennario! Gennario is Italian for January."

Eames went to her desk and typed on her laptop, "Lily Gennario she was a redhead with blue eyes. She died via suicide in July, she hanged herself. It was on the day that Congressman Clarke Bennett won his primary. In May she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer."

Goren walked over to her and nodded, "That's what triggered all of this."

"She gave birth to twin boys in September of 1984. But then she gave them up for adoption and it was closed. I don't see her as having any sisters."

Thea held up three sheets of sketch paper as she spoke and walked over to Goren and Eames, "Redding admitted to me that he saw four guys get into a black van outside of his house around 1 a.m. He didn't say anything at first because he and his friends were having a secret late night scavenger hunt in their neighborhood. He was afraid of getting in trouble and his friends swore to kick him out of their group if he snitched."

Captain Ross asked, "Did he ID the perps?"

Thea answered him, "He saw three of the guys remove their ski masks before they got into the van. And luckily for us, he's got a really great memory and he's a talented artist. He drew this on the morning after. Unfortunately, he didn't get their license plate info."

Eames looked at the sketches and her jaw dropped, "The guy on the right, he's from Henric's Hardware! His name is Grant. Bobby, you didn't see him because you had to take that call. He looks exactly like Dreston." She picked up her desk phone and dialed.

Munch looked at the photo of the daisy knife on his desk then uttered, "Daisy…Marguerite is French for Daisy! But I don't remember seeing that name anywhere."

Thea said as she went over to her messenger bag, "Because she goes by Maggie!" She removed her wallet and took out a business card, "Marguerite 'Maggie' Byrne. She's the owner of Have Some Uncommon Scents!"

Eames hanged up the phone and typed as she spoke, "I just spoke to Frank Bailer. Grant is Grant Byrne. He left for lunch two minutes ago, his brother, Jason and his cousins picked him up to go to Bess's Burgers which is down the street from Henric's."

Thea typed on her laptop, "Maggie Byrne is a redhead with blue eyes but her maiden name is Fulmer."

Eames stated, "Lily Gennario doesn't have a father listed on her birth certificate but her mother...she worked for Greg Fulmer. They're half-sisters."

Thea nodded, "She also has two sons of her own, Eddie and Rodney born in 1979 and 1982. Rodney has a degree in computer science. Grant, Jason, Eddie and Rodney all live in the same house in Queens with Maggie."

Elliot nodded, "Rodney's our computer nerd."

Logan walked over to Thea and looked at her laptop's screen, "Their house is on the same street as Ned Baldridge's home."

Captain Ross interjected, "All right, Goren, Eames, Barek and Logan I want you to pick up Grant and his brothers. Since they're having lunch, I also want their trash for DNA. Hopefully we get a match to the vomit in the Erlichs' home.

Stabler and Benson, pickup Marguerite Byrne. Lupo, Bernard, Munch and Ma I want to you canvass their neighborhood, workplaces and their friends. I'm calling ADA Rubirosa and ADA Cutter."
