I listend to paper planes by Elina while writing this so I don't know but maybe listening to it while reading will make it more emotional... or not.

Robert woke up because he heard noises downstairs. Someone must be walking around and washing dishes. Well that someone must be Andy but when he took a look at the clock he saw it was only 5am. Why was she awake yet? And hadn't he washed all the dishes after dinner last night? He flipped away the bedding and got out of bed. Still tired he made his way along the hallway and down the stairs while his eyes tried to adjust to the light coming from the kitchen. "Andy?"
A: "oh Robert! I'm sorry, did I wake you up?"
She had but he knew something was wrong so he cut to the point.
R: "What are you doing up at 5am? You and our little cupcake need the sleep. Aren't you tired?"
A: "We are all good here, you can go back to bed."
R: "Andy"
She didn't show any reaction
R: "Andy."
But Andy was caught up in her thoughts while she kept washing pans and pots. Robert walked over to her, as he stood right behind her he slowly let his hands wander from her back over her big belly where his little girl was growing. Well at least he was hoping it is a girl and he wanted to know immediately but Andy was too stubborn and so she got her way to get surprised at birth. Robert leaned down to her so he could whisper in her ear.
R: "you know I cleaned the dishes last night right? So why don't you tell me what's really going on here?"
She sighed but took her hands out of the water and leaned back into his arms. For a while they just stood like that and Robert knew just to wait, that she would open up soon.
A: "what if I mess things up?" She took a breath and then whispered "like my mom did."
R: "You won't, or we'll... we definitely will mess up sometimes, but so do all parents but I know we won't be any worse. And you are not your mom. By what your tia told you, you should know that. She wasn't as resilient and strong and fearless as you are."
Andy took a deep breath while the tension was leaving her body.
A: "why do you always know exactly what to say to calm me down?" She said with a smile.
R: "Because you are my wife, I know you and I love you."
Andy now turned around and looked up into his eyes. She still got lost in them.
A: "I love you to. And thank you."
She put her hands around his neck so she could pull him down towards Her. Her lips met his and it was a kiss so simple but full of love.
R: "now let's get back to bed okey? I think we all three could use some more sleep."
A: " ugh, fine." She said annoyed but with a smile on her lips.
They made their way to the stairs and Robert put his arm around her lower back.
A: "Uhm. I might be 7 months pregnant but I'm very capable of getting up those stairs by myself." She said laughing. It was hard for her to accept help with anything really. She was a damn firefighter after all.
R: "I know babe. Just wanna help my two beautiful girls."
A: "it's not gonna be a girl Robert. We're gonna get a strong boy. Moms just know it."
Andy had no idea which gender their baby would have but since Robert was so sure she liked teasing him every chance she got.
R: "well, we will see about that."
They both got into bed and Andy snuggled to Roberts side. In his arms she was save.
Only a few hours later the sun shining through the blinds woke Robert up. Andy had rolled over to her other side so he was able to get up without waking her. He went down to the kitchen, cleaned up some dishes that were still out from Andy's worry dish washing session. Robert then went on and cut some fruits to make smoothies.
A: "good morning"
R: "hey, Did I wake you up? I would have brought it to you. Wait did you already change? Why are you wearing my crew shirt again?"
A: "because I'm fat and my clothes don't fit me anymore. I really had no choice. It was your shirt or naked."
R: "well... I think you shouldn't be wearing my shirts, If that means you gotta walk around naked in here that's too bad." He said with a smirk on his face.
A: " You wish. But about that new fancy Blender of yours, I know you love that thing but it is really loud."
R: "first off it's not a THING and second, I'm sorry, but it's also so good and fast and prepares you delicious smoothies every morning."
A: "well i wouldn't mind some cereal." She rolled her eyes as she sat down at the kitchen island.
Robert was on the other side of the island and leaned on to it as he slid over a smoothie for Andy.
R: "You know that that isn't healthy for you. You need some good nutrients and so does our little cupcake."
A: " maybe than you shouldn't always say cupcake to her. Go with something healthier."
R: "HA you said it!" He threw his hands up in the air like he just won the Super Bowl.
A: "said whaat?" She looked at him confused.
He walked around the island and hugged her from behind.
R: "her"
Andy laughed and brushed along his arm.
A: "maybe dad will get his little girl."
She smiled at the thought of Robert holding their little girl.
R: "only two more months and we will know."
He let go of Andy.
A: " hey where are you going?" She sounded a bit like a little upset kid but then Robert turned around the chair she was sitting in a little and kneeled down in front of her.
A: "oh no. You won't. Robert Sullivan don't do this!"
Robert put his hands on her stomach and brushed over it gently.
R: "hey there little cupcake. Here's daddy. We are so excited to see you in two months and please don't kick your mommy too much okey?"
When Robert looked up he saw tears falling down Andy's face.
A: " I told you not to. You know I cry at everything nowadays."
R: "maybe this will help."
He got up and leaned down to Andy catching her lips with his.
