Inside their father's tomb, Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru kept staring at Naruto whom was holding the sword in his hands the same sword he accidentally removed just now. Jaken's mouth was dropped to the ground in shock as he was speechless he couldn't believe that a mere human boy could pull the sword. "That's impossible! If the two of them couldn't do it, how could a mere human ever hope to." Jaken says as Inuyasha noticed that his older brother was staring at Naruto.
"Don't look at him look at me!" He yells at him as he swipes his claws at him but Sesshoumaru dodged him as he was now in front of Naruto whom was trying to steel his courage while looking at him as he holds onto the sword in his hands. "What are you? And how did you draw the sword?" Sesshoumaru asked him making Naruto gulp. He knew despite the demon's emotionless expression on his face he wasn't at all pleased that he pulled the sword when he and Inuyasha failed to do so.
Inuyasha turns to Sesshoumaru as he knew that his brother will not hesitate to kill him now as Myoga makes an appearance on his shoulder as the tiny flea demon sighs with relief. "Good thing he's after him now and not us, eh lord Inuyasha?" Myoga says to Inuyasha making the half demon glare at him. "Be quiet! Sesshoumaru leave him alone! He's not involved in this!" Inuyasha yells at him as Naruto backs away from Sesshoumaru as his back hits the wall behind him.
"Step back one step closer and I'll cut you!" Naruto says to Sesshoumaru threatening to use the sword on him if he so much tries to hurt him but Sesshoumaru didn't even flinch he just kept his emotionless expression on his face. (Seriously would it kill him to smile once in awhile?) Sesshoumaru then turns his attention back to his brother. "For some unknown reason, I was unable to draw tetusaiga. Fortunately you were unable to draw it either. It's obvious that he must die." Sesshoumaru says to him making Naruto's eyes widen when he heard that while Inuyasha glares at his brother.
"You're right it is weird he could do it and we couldn't, but he's still a human boy. Naruto, give him the sword, there's no choice." Inuyasha tells him making Naruto frown as he looks at the blade and at Inuyasha and then at Sesshoumaru making him realize something. "No way! He couldn't pull it out at all if he couldn't even do so then that means the sword isn't even meant for him he'll have to come and take it!" Naruto says as he glares at Sesshoumaru as he holds onto the blade protectively.
"Don't be stupid! You're only a human, so back off, shut up, and butt out!" Inuyasha tells him making Naruto growl as he glares at him even though yes he was a human he was also a ninja from Konoha and he had dealt with dangerous situations in the past before this situation was no different than the time he faced Zabuza. "Butt out? What do you know?! I maybe a human but I'm also a ninja of the hidden leaf village and I've been through plenty of dangerous situations like this!" Naruto yells at him.
Sesshoumaru felt almost amused by this. "Inuyasha, your patience with this creature is astonishing to me. You protect him, indulge him...even seem to love him." Sesshoumaru says to him making Inuyasha and Naruto both glare at him. "Seriously I think we could barely even say that? I mean Inuyasha saying that he was in love with me or me being in love with him? I don't think that would ever happen." Naruto thinks to himself in annoyance as Ryoko was by Inuyasha's side as she looked worried for Naruto too.
Sesshoumaru begins to walk towards Inuyasha a bit as he looks around. "Certainly these feelings of mercy of yours, are not something I inherited from our great and terrible father. It must of been that mother of yours that human mother who caused our father to meet his end in this ignoble place. Her blood affects you as well. Is that which so endears you to them? When it comes to humans, I of course bear no such weakness." Sesshoumaru says to Inuyasha as he then lifts a hand and turns to Naruto and poison comes out as Naruto closes his eyes as he backs away with the sword still in his hands as his back was against the wall which begins to melt and fall on top of him. "Inuyasha." Naruto calls out to him while Inuyasha's eyes widen in fear.
"Naruto!" Inuyasha yells out and watches as the strange substance falls on top of Naruto most likely dead. "So fragile, don't you agree little brother?" Sesshoumaru asked him making Inuyasha grind his teeth while he looked at him with pure hatred. "Sesshoumaru." He growls out but his heartless brother was not done as he continues. "And no just humans, half breeds too." Sesshoumaru says to Inuyasha whom then becomes angry and charges towards Sesshoumaru with the full intent of killing him as Ryoko runs to where Naruto is as she meows with sadness.
"Iron reaper soul stealer!" Inuyasha shouts out and tries to use one of his claw attacks on his brother but Sesshoumaru dodged it and then grabs him with his tail which he wore around his neck. "How can you think with your dirty blood that you are my equal?" Sesshoumaru asked him with a sneer. He then throws Inuyasha aside as he crashes into the millions of bones underneath and crashes into a wall.
Inuyasha begins to get up while he glares at him. "You..." Inuyasha says with venom in his voice as Sesshoumaru begins to hit him with his whip. "You forget, your station worthless half breed." Sesshoumaru says to him while he hits him again causing Inuyasha to the wall once more and causing him to fall on the many pile of bones underneath him but he quickly begins to get up again. "A half breed am I?" Inuyasha asked him and while he was hit with the whip he thinks back to his childhood back when his mother was still alive.
He remembered that was the same thing people used to call him in the village where he once lived with his mother. He remembered after being called that he would run to his mother and asked her what a half breed was. "That's right. I remember. My mother she was crying...crying for me. She knew what it meant, what my life would be like." Inuyasha thinks back on that memory as he grabs a hold on the wall for support as he growls silently to himself while he stares at the spot where Naruto was killed.
"Half breed or full breed, to me it don't matter. But when you insult my mother, that's when I get angry." Inuyasha says as he felt pure rage in him not only for what Sesshoumaru said about his mother but for also killing Naruto the boy whom was the reincarnation of his past lover Kikyo whom even though they hadn't known each other long he still treated him with kindness and talked to him like a normal person and that deep down he felt that...somehow Naruto knew exactly how he felt as he remembers how when Naruto found out about his mother and what they meant by half demon.
He must of also figured out the kind of life Inuyasha had a long time ago meaning Naruto must of gone through the same kind of pain of being treated like an outcast as well. "Naruto I may not of known what you went through but living your life as a jailer and having a demon sealed away inside you...you must of had a life like mine." Inuyasha thinks to himself as he then gets up and begins to attack his brother once more. "For her sake then, if nothing else, I'm gonna make you pay!" Inuyasha yells at him as he manages to hit him with his claws.
"That was for mother, and this...this is for Naruto!" He yells at him and jumps up and attacks his armor with his claws breaking it. "This can't be happening. A moment ago he couldn't hit at all." Jaken says feeling shocked at this. Inuyasha landed on his feet along with Sesshoumaru whom looks at his armor which breaks apart and falls to the ground.
"All that for a memory and a dead mortal boy? If I'd known that's what it took to make you fight, I'd have killed him sooner." Sesshoumaru tells him as a small smirk appears on his face. Inuyasha grinds his teeth when he heard that. "I'm gonna slit your stomach, take out your guts and put em in a bowl. By the time I'm through, you're gonna wish it you who was dead." Inuyasha tells him as Ryoko then noticed that the strange mush begins to move as Naruto comes out of while taking a big breath.
"I thought for a moment I was dead." Naruto says making Inuyasha look at Naruto shocked yet relieved that he was okay and still alive. Naruto glares at Sesshoumaru as he stands up and pointed the sword still in his hands. "Why you! You tried to kill me! When I get my hands on you I'll make you wish that you were never born dattebayo!" Naruto yells at him as he walks over to Inuyasha and hands him the sword.
"Here I think we underestimated this sword, don't let me down okay." Naruto says to Inuyasha with a grin on his face as Ryoko jumps into his arms and licks it making him giggle. "Hey umm how come you're still alive?" Inuyasha asked him making Naruto frown while he tilts his head. "I'm not sure." Naruto says to him as he even he wasn't sure. "The sword...that's what protected you." Sesshoumaru says to him not showing it but he was angry.
Myoga pops in and nods his head in agreement. "It's true. Those claws of his are deadly poison. It had to be the sword or he really would have died." Myoga tells Inuyasha as he looks at Sesshoumaru. "Why not put it to a real test and try it on Sesshoumaru?" Myoga suggested to Inuyasha. "Big words for such small vermin." Sesshoumaru says as a demonic aura surrounds him and the bones and other stuff begins blow away from him and his hair was moving around wildly as well. "This can't be good." Naruto thinks to himself as he knew that from the amount of energy Sesshoumaru was giving off he was about to use his full power while Inuyasha stands in front of Naruto protectively.
"Let's see if a half breed can even wield the tetsusaiga. I myself shall be the witness." He says to him as his eyes starts glowing red and he turns into his demon form which was a massive yet monstrous dog. "Wow he's huge he's just as big as you Kurama." Naruto says to the fox demon whom wakes up from his nap for a moment and looks at Sesshoumaru's demon form and shrugs. "Eh I've seen better." He says and then goes back to sleep making Naruto sweat drop. "Such a lazy fox." Naruto thinks to himself while his right eye twitches a bit.
"This is good, cause now we know his real form." Inuyasha says to him making Naruto nod his head as he knew this wasn't gonna he easy since Sesshoumaru looked stronger now but Inuyasha didn't care. "Heh. Now that I'm using this I'll win for sure." Inuyasha says while Sesshoumaru growled and snarls at him.
"Yup I'd say this battle's just about finished before it even starts. Ha, you go hide until it's over." Inuyasha tells Naruto making him nod his head in understanding as he goes off to find a place to hide since he knows that this fight was between Inuyasha and his brother. Inuyasha then jumps into the air with the sword in his hands ready to swing. "Here goes. This is it sword. Time to show me what you're made of." Inuyasha says and swings the sword at Sesshoumaru but it didn't even put a cut in him nor a scratch.
While Naruto was trying to find a place to hide Sesshoumaru sees him and jumps towards him to kill him but Naruto dodges it while Inuyasha looks at the sword with an annoyance. "Didn't even make a scratch." Inuyasha says when he then had to move quickly when his brother tries to attack him again. It went like this for awhile as Naruto noticed something off with the drool coming out of Sesshoumaru's mouth.
"That drool it's like acid it's even melting the bones around us, I bet it's even poisonous too this isn't good." Naruto thinks to himself while he bites his lip as Inuyasha looks at the flea demon with annoyance. "Yo Myoga, what's the deal? This sword can't even bruise, let alone cut." Inuyasha says to him wanting to know what was going on while Myoga was packing his bag. "Well uh lord Inuyasha, I suppose that uh it'll make a lovely heirloom if nothing less. Besides it's the thought that counts. Now if you'll excuse me." Myoga says and begins hopping away which Inuyasha noticed.
"Hey hey! Whoa!" He yells at him as he glares at the little cowardly flea. "And don't let that Sesshoumaru push you around ok?" Myoga says to him and makes a bee line and runs off making Naruto dead pan. "I can't believe he ditched us when the situation was getting more dangerous." Naruto says to Inuyasha whom wasn't surprised by this at all since he was used to Myoga doing this.
Inuyasha then noticed that the acid like drool was giving off a poisoned gas. "Oh no! Naruto, get you off the ground!" Inuyasha yells to him as Naruto nods his head and begins to climb up while Inuyasha continues to fight Sesshoumaru while climbing though Ryoko changes into her other form and Naruto gets on her as they begin to fly up. While doing this Naruto looks down and sees Inuyasha still fighting against his brother and was having trouble doing so. "Inuyasha!" Naruto yells out feeling scared for him since he knew that with the sword being unable to cut or injured Sesshoumaru he wouldn't be able to defeat him so easily and would most likely be killed by him.
Myoga then appears before Naruto from the wall he was climbing up on and looks at the blond ninja. "Just fly up quickly, even a demon can't stay in those fumes for long." Myoga says making Naruto look at Inuyasha with concern while Jaken even begins to climb up. "But what about Inuyasha? Is he gonna be okay?" Naruto asked him even though deep down he knew it wasn't going to end well for him. "Uh probably not huh?" Myoga says and then falls down but quickly climbs back up. "Forget the heroics it's every flea for himself!" Myoga says to Naruto and quickly darts up the wall.
Naruto looks down to Inuyasha below and looks down feeling worried. "Inuyasha!" Naruto calls out to him while he continues to fly up with Ryoko. Down below Inuyasha coughs knowing that it was time to leave. "Even I can't stay down here for much longer." He says and then jumps up to escape but when he was close to the exit he collapsed and coughs. "My arms and legs are going numb." Inuyasha says as Sesshoumaru then catches him into his jaws and brings him back down.
Inuyasha struggles as he takes the sword and jabs it into Sesshoumaru's eye whom instead of letting him go he jumps up and crashes through their father's tomb out in the open when Naruto sees this he runs towards him while Ryoko rides his shoulders. "Inuyasha!" Naruto calls out to him as Inuyasha frees himself from Sesshoumaru's jaws and lands on his feet.
Sesshoumaru growls feeling irritated that Inuyasha managed to hit him in the eye. "Now do you see the power of Tessaiga, I bet you're giving Sesshoumaru a what for huh?" Myoga says as he pops out of the bushes making Naruto dead pan making Inuyasha turn to him and glare at the flea demon. "Where have you been? This thing is about as useful as a walking stick!" Inuyasha yells at him making Myoga frown a bit. "Oh, so maybe it isn't from your father." Myoga says and then begins to run again.
"Looks like he's leaving again." Naruto says making Inuyasha scoff. "Why am I not surprised? In the meantime, what am I gonna do with this thing?" Inuyasha says looking at the sword again while dodging Sesshoumaru once more. Inuyasha kept doing this for awhile as Naruto gets out of hiding knowing he has to help somehow which Inuyasha noticed. "What are you doing?!" Inuyasha demanded making Naruto clench his hands.
"I can't just sit here and let you do this on your own anymore I have to help you if I don't then You'll die." Naruto says to him shocking Inuyasha as he shakes his head. "No you can't you won't make it I'll most likely since I'm half demon and even though you have a demon sealed inside you, you won't make it." Inuyasha tells him making Naruto shocked at that as tears comes down his face a bit. "You're right I most likely won't make it." Naruto says to him feeling sad and heartbroken and scared shocking Inuyasha.
Inuyasha then puts his hand on Naruto's head making him look up at him while he stopped crying. "It's gonna be okay I promise I'll protect you so no more crying please." Inuyasha says to him making Naruto's eyes widen that as the sword begins to pulse which Inuyasha noticed while he walks back over to his brother. "Tetsusaiga, is pulsing. I can hear it...the sound from before. No this time it's different." Inuyasha says while Jaken was yelling to Sesshoumaru telling him to kill Inuyasha but then he stopped and slowly turned when he sees Naruto standing before him as the blond begins to crack his knuckles.
"What were you saying just now? Please be so kind to repeat yourself." Naruto says to him with a sweet smile on his face but anybody could tell that he was actually very angry. Jaken gulps with fear as the imp could of sworn he saw his life flash before his eyes as Naruto begins to beat him up once he was done Jaken was covered in bumps and bruises while his body twitches in the ground in pain. Naruto then looks at Inuyasha and smiles. "You got this Inuyasha I know you do." He thinks to himself.
Sesshoumaru then jumps into the air prepared to attack Inuyasha again but Inuyasha jumps up and slashed at one Sesshoumaru's arms cutting it off with his sword. Inuyasha then lands on the ground while he looks at the sword which now looked completely different. "It looks like a fang." He says while looking at it while Naruto watches from the sidelines with Ryoko while he looks at this with pure awe. Inuyasha looks at Sesshoumaru whom was glaring at him as he was bleeding a large puddle of blood.
Inuyasha smirks right back at him. "It is a fanfic. The old man really did leave something worthwhile. So here we are, two brothers fighting over father's sword. But compared to him, you and me are nothing. Don't you get it? We're like a couple of fleas jumping around on his body. Huh. We'd be lucky if he didn't squash us flat." Inuyasha says to him with a smirk making Sesshoumaru growl at him. "So maybe I don't have too many memories of him, but it was me father chose to hide his tomb in after all. I'd rather give up an eye than give up his sword. Maybe I'm not so worthless am I?" He shouts towards Sesshoumaru whom snarls back at him.
Sesshoumaru then moves to attack him again but Inuyasha fights back with the sword slashing it at him. Sesshoumaru's body then lights up and turns into a ball and flies off which Jaken noticed as he begins to run off after him. After that Naruto goes over to Inuyasha whom was panting from exhaustion not that he blamed him it was a hectic battle. "Inuyasha are you okay?" He asked him as Inuyasha then smirks a bit.
"I take it back, so the swords not such a piece of junk." Inuyasha says but then Myoga appears again. "You see? I was right. Of course if you'd listened earlier, you'd never have..." Myoga would of continued but Inuyasha began to try to squish him. "Good that bug deserves to be squished." Naruto thinks to himself while watching this. "Wait over there see." Myoga says making both Naruto and Inuyasha turn and look at the skeleton bird as Ryoko turns back into her other form and Naruto climbs on top of her.
"I wasn't running away. I was getting us a ride home." Myoga explains to them making Naruto glare at him. "Yeah right you seem pretty desperate to get away from this place." Naruto says as Inuyasha nods his head in agreement as he climbs on the skeleton bird and they fly off. The portal appears once more and they go through it as Ryoko was back in her other form again and was in Naruto's arms while Inuyasha had his arm wrapped around Naruto with his his new sword strapped to his hip as they float down to the ground and land softly.
The black pearl then comes down and goes back into Inuyasha's eye. "So how do you feel? You feeling okay?" Naruto asked him feeling concerned for him after the fight he just had. "Actually I feel pretty okay. Everything's back to normal. And at least now I know that the old man can Rest In Peace." Inuyasha says to him making Naruto smile and nod his head a they head back to Kaede's home.
When they get there Naruto sat by the fire while he petted Ryoko whom slept in his lap. "But how is it that ye child, were able to pul the Tetsusaiga? I must say ye continue to surprise me." Kaede says to Naruto whom looks down he didn't know either. "My theory, is that it is because Naruto is mortal. Don't forget, Tetsusaiga was forged by Lord Inuyasha's father as a way to protect his mortal mother. It was his feelings towards mortals that allowed Lord Inuyasha to wield it effectively." He explains to them which now made sense to Naruto.
"That's right the sword's true power came out once Inuyasha said he would protect me, that's why Inuyasha was able to use the sword while his brother couldn't because Inuyasha wants to help keep people safe and would put his life on the line to do so while his brother had no second thoughts when he tried to kill me, that's what makes them so different and why Inuyasha is the one whom can wield the sword while Sesshoumaru couldn't." Naruto thinks to himself while he smiles at that. "Inuyasha it seems you're more like your father than you thought." Naruto thinks to himself.
"For someone like Sesshoumaru who could only hate humans, wielding Tetsusaiga was impossible." Myoga says confirming Naruto's thoughts. "'Tis, a strange story aye. To Inuyasha his half human heritage has been a curse. His feelings for his mother have been tinged with shame. And yet those same feelings are what make him different. That is why his father chose him for his resting place. Perhaps the one who most resembles the father is not Sesshoumaru but Inuyasha." Kaede says as Naruto smiles and gets up and goes outside to see Inuyasha whom was sitting in a tree while Ryoko stayed behind to continue her nap.
Naruto looks up at him and sees him swinging the sword a bit. "Inuyasha?" Naruto says to Inuyasha smiling at him making Inuyasha look at him. "What?" He says wondering what Naruto wanted. "Do you want me to tell you? You know how to use the Tetsusaiga?" Naruto asked him making Inuyasha jump down and land in front of him. "And since when are you an expert?" Inuyasha asked him raising an eyebrow making Naruto grin at him.
"Well do you promise you'll protect me with it forever and ever?" Naruto asked him curiously while smiling at him making Inuyasha look at him with confusion. "Huh? What in the world are you babbling about? Your brain's broken or something." He says to him while pointing to his head making a tic mark appear on Naruto's head. "But you said you would protect me and that I shouldn't cry anymore!" Naruto yells at him feeling frustrated with him. "I didn't mean it like that if you'll shut up for a minute I'll tell you what a sword like this should really be used for!" Inuyasha yells back at him making Naruto glare at him as Inuyasha smirks a bit.
"Stuff like collecting jewel shards and making me more powerful. I sure as heck ain't waisting it on baby sitting a helpless little human like you." He says as Naruto loses his patience. He then pushes Inuyasha across the small bridge near them as he then walks away and while facing away from him his arms crossed while he had an angry look on his face he said this next. "Sit boy." Naruto says making the necklace activate causing Inuyasha to fall through the bridge and into the water.
"Hmph, I guess it's my fault to think that he would listen to me." Naruto says as he begins to walk off as Inuyasha climbs out of the water wondering what Naruto was talking about as he tried to ask him again but Naruto wouldn't stop since he was still mad at him and just simply ignored him as he walked away from him while Inuyasha tells him to come back asking him to tell him how to use the sword.
