Chapter 7- Team Batman Forever.
Bruce walked up to where Selina was typing away at something on the computer.
"What have you got for me?" Bruce asked before looking around. "And where's Liam?"
"He went out", Selina said. "He'll be back shortly."
Bruce looked at her with suspicion before nodding, just as Liam did walk in.
"Hey guys." He greeted casually.
"Where have you been?" Bruce asked.
"I was scouting out for Kate and Dinah. Haven't found them." Liam replied.
Bruce nodded at hearing that before looking at Selina.
"I've located the place where the Jokers and there allies are." Selina said.
"Great, so what's the play, Bruce?" Liam asked as both looked at him.
"We take them all down, tonight." Bruce declared.
"But there's more", he continued.
"What more?" Selina asked, silently dreading the answer.
"I found out who the Arkham Knight is", Bruce said, making both look at him in shock.
"Who is it?" Liam asked.
"My former protégé, Jason Todd." Bruce revealed, making there jaws drop.
"I thought he was dead!" Selina protested. "You told me that Joker murdered him."
"I thought so too, but he was held in Arkham and now resents me." Bruce said sadly.
"Well, we don't have time to mourn for this guy, at least for now. Afterwards, we can deal with him." Liam said gently.
"You're right", Bruce said. "Let's take them all down, tonight."
Just then, a breach opened and Wayne, Bats and Batman stepped out together.
"Bruce's!" Bruce said in surprise. "What are you lot doing here?"
"Liam contacted us." Wayne began. "Said there was an emergency with Jokers. So we're here to help."
Bruce turned to Liam and gave him a grateful smile.
"Well, where are we on finding these Jokers?" Batman asked, crossing his arms.
Selina walked over to the computer and typed on it, pulling up footage of Joker walking into an opera house.
Bruce's eyes widened on seeing that as the others looked confused.
"Where is that?" Liam asked.
"An opera house." Bruce said. "Let's go."
Alley near opera house.
Bruce, Selina, Batman, Wayne, Bats and Liam stopped in front of the opera house as all looked around.
"This is it." Selina said.
"We have to make sure these Jokers can't cause any more trouble." Wayne said firmly.
"And we will, evil never wins, no matter what world it is from, my friends." Bats said.
They noticed several thugs descending down to battle them.
"And they are here again." Liam rolled his eyes.
"Only some of us are needed to deal with them." Selina said as she looked at them.
"Let's go." Batman said as they started running.
Liam leapt and kicked one in the chest before doing a spin motion and kicking another's head.
As more thugs arrived, a Batarang exploded and Kate and Dinah descended from the roof.
"Great to see you guys again." Kate greeted as she waved at the other Batmen.
Dinah fired her Canary Cry at some thugs, throwing them back as she smacked another out with her staff.
As another tried to strike, she slid behind him and grabbed his neck in a chokehold, knocking him out.
She sensed another behind her and side-stepped to avoid before striking him down in a spin motion too,
As two more rushed her, she did a spin motion and kicked one into the other, knocking them both out as well before giving an uppercut to a thug's hand with her staff, knocking his gun upwards and in a spin motion, knocked him out as well.
"Well isn't this fun?" Bats quipped as he avoided a blow and punched the thug in the face before striking his abdomen and kicking his face, knocking him out.
Selina avoided a punch and got the thug in a chokehold from behind, knocking him out as he fell down.
The rest went past the fighting and went into the opera, looking around at the stage and all the chairs.
Then they found some stairs and ran up them when there was an explosion of sparks and smoke in front of them. When the smoke cleared, Hush was standing in front of them.
"Go to the roof!" Bruce ordered the others. "Stop the Jokers and Man-Bat!"
"What about him?" Kate asked.
"He's mine!" Bruce growled in a tone that left no room for argument.
Bruce ran up the stairs to fight Hush who raised his fist and tried to strike. Bruce blocked and pushed Hush back. He pinned him against the wall.
Taking advantage of that, Liam, Wayne, Bats and Kate ran past them. Hush then freed himself.
Bruce punched him on the chest. He tried to punch back but Bruce blocked by raising both of his arms defensively. Hush kneed him in the stomach.
The others entered the rooftop as Joker, Anarchist, Clown and Man-Bat looked at them while some thugs and soldiers were there too.
"Aww, so you came here after all!" Joker mocked.
The thugs attacked as Liam smacked out two with his escrima sticks while Bats head-butted one in the face.
Wayne grabbed a thug and punched his face, knocking him out as Batman flipped another over and kicked his face in a spin motion, taking him out.
Batman then turned, punching another man on the way out before taking another out with a Batarang.
He then spun around and elbowed another man down too before a man attacked but he blocked and countered with precise strikes before tossing him down.
As another came, Batman blocked, slammed him to a wall, then tossed him to the other side before dumping his head in a water trough, and pulling him out, pushed him away before kicking his face again.
He then walked further as another thug came but Batman pushed him into a wall, knocking him down, and walked further, before turning around and kicking his face in a spin motion, taking him out.
Bats blocked two strikes and kicked back before ducking and throwing another to the ground and kicking his face hard, knocking him out as he ducked in a spin motion to avoid and leaping up, elbowed the top of his head, knocking him out.
Liam struck at Joker who blocked while Anarchist smacked his head with a ballistic staff, knocking him down as a small cut was formed on his head.
Liam rolled away to avoid a kick from Clown and smacked his feet in a spin motion, staggering him back as Liam flipped to avoid another strike.
Wayne gave one thug an uppercut and in a rotatory motion, elbowed another away while Bats kicked another's feet from under him.
They saw a device stuck there and knew Joker was going to use it to disperse his fear toxin.
Wayne ran towards it when Two-Face leapt in the way and kicked him away, sending him to the ground as he groaned.
"Out of all of the Batmen in the Multiverse, I see you have lived the happiest and most fulfilled life", Two-Face said. "It will be a pleasure to take it away."
Wayne roared in anger as he got up and tried to charge again but Two-Face avoided and kicked his face before grasping his throat and slamming him to the ground.
He then kicked Wayne's face again, only for a Batarang to be thrown at him.
He caught it in time but it exploded, sending him to the ground as Batman arrived.
He gave Wayne a hand. "Come on."
Wayne accepted it gratefully and ran to the device.
Dinah smacked Two-Face with her staff, whipping it to the other side before jumping and kicking his face again while Selina elbowed the back of his head.
Two-Face tripped Selina, sending her down and pushed Dinah away before Selina sliced the back of his leg with her claws, making him kneel in pain.
Taking advantage, Dinah moved in a spin motion and smacked his face with her staff, knocking him out as he fell down.
Exchanging nods, Selina and Dinah moved away to fight.
Bruce blocked Hush's punch and elbowed him back before ducking under a strike but was hit by the following one.
Bruce dodged a strike from him and tried to smack his face but he ducked. Bruce blocked his strikes twice and tried to hit him but he blocked too.
Bruce blocked another strike from him and also a kick.
Hush tried to slice his throat in a rotatory motion with a knife but he ducked and managed to snatch the knife. Hush grabbed him by the throat and pinned him against the wall.
Anarchist and Clown approached Man-Bat who was snarling at the Batmen.
"Bats!" Anarchist called out, making him look at the two. "We need to disperse that fear toxin."
Man-Bat didn't respond, he simply bared his teeth and snarled.
"Hey! Didn't you hear us?!" Clown waved his hands, looking annoyed.
Clown walked and tried to grab Man-Bat's arm but as he did, Man-Bat turned and slashed Clown across the face with his claws, making him howl in pain as he staggered back.
"What the Hell?" Clown demanded as he pulled out a gun and shot Man-Bat several times, but he was unaffected and punched Clown in the face before stabbing him in the abdomen.
Anarchist smacked Man-Bat across the face with his ballistic staff, whipping it to the other side as he turned and gave Anarchist a menacing glare.
Grasping him by the throat, Man-Bat slammed Anarchist to the ground, making blood spill from his mouth as he was dazed. He then kicked Anarchist again as Clown staggered up and punched him.
Grasping Clown, Man-Bat stabbed him through the throat with his claws, making blood gurgle as Clown fell down.
He coughed up blood before lying still, dead.
Anarchist got up and attacked but Man-Bat blocked before grabbing Anarchist plunged his claws into his eyes, making Anarchist howl in pain as he was blinded.
Moving in a spin motion, Man-Bat slashed Anarchist's throat and chest before grasping his ballistic staff and stabbing Anarchist through the chest with it, making him gasp in pain as he staggered back.
Anarchist then slumped at the edge of the roof, dead, with the staff still protruding from his chest.
Howling, Man-Bat then leapt away to join the fight.
Bruce freed himself and tried to hit Hush with the knife but he ducked and was punched back.
Before he could recover, Hush pinned him against the wall, punched him twice and threw him down the stairs.
Man-Bat turned to see Bats casually observing him on a rooftop.
"You know, the movies make werewolves look much more awesome." Bats quipped before charging him.
Man-Bat charged to meet him and pushed Bats away before he ducked and punched Man-Bat in the abdomen and flipping to avoid a punch, kicking the back of his head.
Bats then moved forward and struck as Man-Bat backed while blocking.
Batman grabbed Joker only to receive a powerful head-butt, staggering him back as Joker struck his chest and abdomen, making him fall down.
Batman got up and ducked twice to avoid two strikes and blocked the third one before punching Joker back, who simply laughed hysterically.
He then punched him again and blocked a strike and another before punching Joker's chest and face again.
He then gave Joker two brutal uppercuts, making him spit out blood.
Batman then smacked him with the back of his hand, sending him back and tried to punch again but he backed to avoid before being hit by the back of Batman's hand again.
Joker punched Batman's throat before elbowing his chest in a spin motion while laughing hysterically.
Grabbing his elbow, Batman punched him there before kneeing Joker in the abdomen and punching him away.
Joker fell down and rolled up, blocking Batman's punch and kicking his chest again, making him stagger back.
Bats moved away to avoid a punch and kicked back before blocking a strike and ducking under a haymaker, punched Man-Bat in the abdomen.
Man-Bat smacked Bats with the back of his hand, sending him flying.
Bats hit the ground hard, rolling to his feet before avoiding a kick from Man-Bat and blocking another punch with his foot.
Bats and Man-Bat continued battling when a thug took aim at Bats from a corner only for Kate to knock him out with a flip-kick.
Joker grabbed Batman by the back of the head and slammed his head on his knee, dazing him as he fell down.
Bats and Man-Bat continued fighting as Bats expertly dodged Man-Bat's strikes.
Batman flipped up as Joker punched but he caught it and punched Joker's face and flipped him to the ground, punching his face.
Joker threw Batman off and turned to see Wayne running at him. Joker charged to meet him and the two clashed, both striking and blocking the others strikes.
Liam was fighting against several thugs when he was hit with a large dose of fear toxin. Coughing, Liam groaned and turned to see Evil-Bat standing there with a smirk.
"You killed me." Evil-Bat said. "Unfortunately for you, heh, heh…I didn't."
With a roar of rage, Liam charged and he and Evil-Bat began fighting, the two trading blows.
Liam threw a punch which Evil-Bat avoided and kneed Liam in the stomach.
Evil-Bat tried to punch but Liam raised both of his arms to defend himself.
He then moved and kicked Evil-Bat in a spin motion, staggering him.
Liam flipped to avoid a kick from Evil-Bat and struck out, hammering a blow into Evil-Bat's stomach.
Evil-Bat brandished a Batarang and tried to slice Liam's throat but he leapt away to avoid, kicking Evil-Bat in the chest.
Evil-Bat then flipped behind Liam and as he turned around, Evil-Bat kicked his chest in a spin motion, sending him crashing to the ground.
Liam got back and grabbed Evil-Bat by the throat, slamming him to the ground, where he punched him twice in the face.
Evil-Bat flipped Liam over and rolled to his feet.
"How can you possibly hope to defeat me Liam? You are weak, while I only get stronger." Evil-Bat mocked.
Liam growled and charged with a roar.
Evil-Bat flipped to avoid another strike and kicked Liam to the ground.
Bruce punched Hush twice in the face before throwing him away though Hush flipped to his feet and punched Bruce's abdomen and kicking his face in a spin motion.
Wayne kicked Joker back in a spin motion before raising his hands to block a strike and leaping, elbowed Joker in the head before Joker spun away to block another strike and kneed Wayne.
Bats kicked Man-Bat before he was lifted and thrown away. He rolled up and kicked Man-Bat's legs out from underneath him before his face was kicked hard, making him spit out blood as he was dazed.
The fight between Liam and Evil-Bat had reached a stalemate at this point, as both combatants were evenly matched.
Liam head-butted Evil-Bat, staggering him slightly but Evil-Bat quickly recovered, leaping forward and delivering a series of strong punches to his face.
Liam then blocked another strike from Evil-Bat and then leapt forward, elbowing him in the head.
He threw Evil-Bat to the ground and began punching him multiple times in the face, but Evil-Bat kicked Liam off and rolled to his feet.
Liam tried to flip-kick but Evil-Bat dodged and punched Liam in the face.
Evil-Bat leapt forward and elbowed Liam in the face, causing blood to fly from his mouth and Liam kicked Evil-Bat backwards in response.
Evil-Bat flipped and jumped at Liam, knocking him down, where he punched him twice in the chest.
Liam grabbed Evil-Bat and kneed his face hard, dazing him as he staggered back.
"Enough!" Liam snapped. "I am not a monster, despite what you and others may think."
Evil-Bat stared at Liam, realizing that he had lost, and he felt himself fading, his hands forming blue cracks as he gaped in horror.
"NO!" Evil-Bat screamed. "THIS IS NOT HOW I DIE!"
With one final scream, Evil-Bat disintegrated.
He was finally gone, for the third and final time.
Liam sighed, a great weight having been lifted from his shoulders.
With a grin, he turned to face the other thugs, ready to end this fight.
Wayne was kicked back by Joker and then ducked to avoid a punch, smacking the back of his head.
Batman then grabbed Joker's arm and flipped him to the ground though Joker kicked him back and rolled up.
Bruce grabbed Hush and kicked his face and chest before head-butting him.
As the others fought on the roof, a thug smacked Selina down and was about to stab her when a knife hit his throat and he gagged, staggering back as he slowly died.
Selina got up and turned to see a hooded figure standing at the edge of the roof. Almost all combat ceased as all turned to the newcomer.
Lightly jumping down and striding forward, the figure removed the hood, making Selina gape in shock at seeing Stephanie Brown.
"You came!" Selina gaped.
"Sure did, Selina." Stephanie smirked as she grabbed the nearest thug and elbowed his face, sending him down.
As she walked, another person appeared next to her and Selina recognized her as Tim Drake.
And with that, all combat continued.
Wayne blocked a strike from Joker and punched him twice before Joker threw him up into the air.
Wayne landed and tried to sweep Joker's feet from under him but he flipped up and landed just as Batman arrived and kicked him back.
Wayne then did a spin kick and Joker was sent flying back.
Bruce grabbed Hush by the legs and threw him to the ground.
The two got up at the same time and then circled each other.
"Give up, Bruce", Hush taunted. "There is no victory."
"Never." Bruce snarled as Hush smirked.
Then Hush sensed a presence behind but turned around a second too late as he was hit on the face by a staff and sent flying back as Arkham Knight glared at him.
"Jason?" Bruce asked in shock.
"Save it, Bruce, I just want to get revenge on Joker." Arkham Knight snarled as Hush got up, looking horrified.
"What the Hell is this!?" Hush demanded as Arkham Knight elbowed his face, sending him down again.
Bruce threw a Batarang which he avoided before Arkham Knight got Hush in a chokehold from behind and snapped his neck.
He then threw his body to the ground as Bruce looked at Arkham Knight.
"Look, can we discuss this later, please?" Arkham Knight sighed. "We have a job to do."
With that, he walked off as Bruce stared at him for a few moments before following.
Bats blocked two strikes from Man-Bat and punched back before a Batarang was flung in his direction.
Man-Bat was hit by it and roared in pain before someone kicked his face, staggering him. Bats gazed at the unfamiliar person.
"Who are you?" Bats asked.
"Dick Grayson." He replied shortly, beginning to fight Man-Bat who snarled and fought back with all of his might.
Man-Bat failed to notice Barbara Gordon sneaking up behind him as she stabbed the back of his leg with a knife, making him howl in pain as he back-handed her, sending her flying back.
Bats kicked his face and Dick elbowed his side, both strikes forcing Man-Bat back a few feet.
Then he was hit by a Canary Cry from behind and roared in pain as he covered his ears. Gritting his teeth, he turned and thunderclapped, throwing Dinah back.
Kate sliced his face with a Batarang before spinning away to avoid a strike.
Bats then kicked Man-Bat's knee, sending him down before spinning and elbowing his face, knocking him out.
Joker got back up and with a roar, kicked Wayne's face, sending him back as he laughed hysterically.
"This is going to be the last time you all interfere in my plans." Joker said before he was kicked.
"You talk too much, asshole." Barbara shook her head.
"WHAT?" Joker said, horrified, looking at the Bat-Family. "How could you? You came back-"
"You kept saying how you were ahead, didn't you?" Tim asked. "But this is one thing even you wouldn't have expected."
Arkham Knight punched him as Joker tried to fight back but Wayne punched him, sending him back, before kicking him on the chin.
Joker was about to attack again when a Batarang hit him from behind and exploded, sending him down as Batman lowered his hand.
Dick kicked his chest again before blocking and punching his side as Arkham Knight kicked him from behind.
Bruce then hit Joker in the face and spinning, elbowed his throat, making him gasp in pain as he held it and Bats punched him.
Liam threw his escrima stick and it hit Joker's face, knocking him down again as he struggled to get back up.
Stephanie marched towards Joker as he glared at her. "And now comes the begging."
She lifted him up by the throat and slammed him down before punching his face hard with a roar, making Joker spit out blood as he laughed.
Getting him behind in a chokehold, Stephanie choked him out before throwing his body to the ground.
She then looked at the others who were all looking at her with raised eyebrows.
"What?" She asked. "The guy had it coming."
Everyone broke into chuckles that. Seems that some things never changed.
And that ends the climax.
So let's break it down- Yes, Anarchist and Clown are both dead, killed by Man-Bat who went rouge, because he is uncontrollable and the two Jokers learnt that the hard way.
And Evil-Bat is finally gone and he will not be returning in this series.
Then we had the Arkham Knight returning to help Team Batman defeat the Jokers and get revenge.
Now the biggie- The Bat-Family coming to help out. I know that the Bat-Family said they wouldn't help, but at the end of the day, and despite the bad blood between them and Bruce, they are good people with good hearts, and they won't let innocent people die.
Now this has two more chapters to go, one to wrap up the main story, and the other which will be a bunch of post-credits scenes.
