Chapter 7

Alone Time Disaster

In Ellesmera Saphira and Cael were walking around side by side in silence, until they got to the courtyard. As Cael stopped, he smelled a familiar scent, one that he hated the most since he drove them back to their homeland.

"Saphira, i have a question." Cael grabbed Saphira attending as she turned her head to the orange dragon.

"What is your question?" Saphira asked Cael, wanting to know about his question.

"How long is the Celebration?" Cael wanted to know how long is the Blood-Oath.

"Well, Cael the Blood Oath Celebration starts tomorrow and lasts a few days. Why do you want to know that?" Saphira answered as she saw him looking around like something was watching them.

"Because i fear that we are being watched by some orcs." Cael suddenly snarls at the snatch of his long-forgetting enemies. That caused Saphira to look around in worry.

"What! They are here already?" The answer was a huge boulder suddenly crashed in front of them both. They jerk their hands back in surprise.

"Is that your answer Saphira." Cael replied as he and Saphira looked up to see multiple boulders being launched by catapults. Cael knew it was the orcs.

"We need to warn Eragon and the others." Saphira was very worried for her rider as she ran back to Eragon's room. Cael then raced back behind as he thought to turn to the dragon race here.

When Saphira rushed back to Ellesmera, it was already in chaos. She saw the elven guards rush to get every civilian to get them to sefly.

"So much for the very short alone time with Saphira." Cael though as he saw the elves scrambler to protect the elven civilians and families. As he reached the center of the city, Cael saw Saphira with her saddle on with Eragon strapped in. Adara flew toward Cael as fast as her wings could carry her.

"Cael!" Adara yells as more boulders come raining down, impacting some houses.

"The orcs are attacking." Adara replies as she hears Saphira take off in the air with Eragon, who was ready to fight the orcs.

"I know, I need to help Eragon and Saphira defend Ellesmera. You get to safely Adara." Cael growled as Adara nodded, while she watched Cael and Saphira flying towards the orcs with Eragon.

Adara then flew towards the civilians of Ellesmera. Adara knows that she can't help because she didn't have enough power to help and that Cael did not need her help with the orcs.

Cael took off after Saphira as he caught up with her who was hovering and Eragon, who was on her saddle, He saw the orc army in the process of launching more boulders.

"If the orc army is here, there is a chance that Mandek is likely hidden behind them like the coward that is he." Cael snarled at the orc cowarded as Eragon's curious peak.

"But how do we push back the orc army?" Eragon asked as his dragon nodded in agreement, while Cael spotted many catapults in front and in the middle for their army.

"So you see these catapults Saphira?" Cael pointed out as Saphira scanned the army for them. She spotted the catapults all over the whole army.

"Yes i do, what about them?" Saphira asked as she saw them left the boulders up with their air ballitin.

"We need to destroy them, cause that is their only weapon against us that i can see for now." Cael pointed out as he knows that the orc army is barely off the ground of rebuilding it's army, after Cael destroyed it five years ago.

"But how did the orcs rebuild it militarily?" Eragon answered the important question that Cael had in his head.

"I do not know Eragon, but we need to stop them." Cael snarls as he roars to announced his presence in Alagaesia. Saphira followed his example as the two dragon flew towards there targets.

Unknown to them, at the ever back of the army is an orc that is all muscle and no brains. A tell orc with his armor from the last time when he and Cael fought. He was the worst general of his people and his time: Mandek. He was in the commence tent, looking over the map of Alagaesia he got from Galbatorix after he made a deal with him.

"You may have won last time, dragon, but not this time." Mendex replied as a lesser orc blast into the tent in a picnic

"General, general! We have a big problem." He replied as he lightly bow to his leader.

"What! What is the problem now? We just get fucked over by Glabatorix and our army barely has weapons." Mendex's voice was a little gruff and deep as he questioned the orc in front of him. The lesser orc gulps nervously at him.

"It's Cael, he is here in Alagaesia, he is with a human and blue sapphire dragon." he said as he looked at the map.

"Motherfucker!" Mendek shouted as he slammed his hand on the table in a fit.

Mendek knows if Cael is here, let alone another dragon he will not survive the day.

"Pull back the catapualt, we will go by force." Mendek orders as he receives a nod from the orc, who left to full fill the order.

Unknown to him that the whole army of Ellesmera is prepared to drive the orcs out.
