AN: Someone asked for an update. I'm having trouble sleeping. So there you go. If it doesn't make any sense, I'll just have to fix it when there's time. Happy reading! Oh wait, I forgot. Y'all don't like this story.

Damon woke up to the sound of the shower running in the bathroom.

He laid there staring up at the tray ceiling thinking about Bonnie and how she laid stiff as a board in his arms all night, wide awake with her heart beating out of her chest.

He could practically smell her fear.

But even then, he refused to let her go.

He wanted her to get used to the feel of his body laying beside hers every night.

The two of them hadn't gotten off to a great start, but he planned on fixing that. Making things right between them.

He just had to figure out how to go about doing that.

Damon's obsession with trying to get Bonnie ran much deeper than him wanting to take what belonged to Klaus.

Niklaus Mikealson was a non-factor.

Just a fly that would be swatted away when the time was right.

Because from the moment Damon saw Bonnie, he had to make her his. There were no two ways about it. It was damn near instinctual.

It was as if an animal spotting its mate. It was as basic and as primal as that. He had to have her.

Damon would watch her prance around Klaus' mansion all dolled up looking like a tasty little snack with her heels making those click clack sounds on the marble floors making her presence known a few seconds before she entered a room.

Out of respect for Klaus all the men would lower their eyes and not stare openly at her even though they were dying to do just that...all but him.

He boldly stared at her every chance he got. And sometimes her gaze would snap in his direction, catching him watching her and she would glare at him, almost daring him to look away but he never did. Not once. Even when he knew he was making her uncomfortable with his eyes.

He would see the anger flare up in her green ones and it would look like she was on the cusp of saying something to him, or maybe even alerting Klaus to his forward behavior, but she would always bite back her tongue and then ignore him for the rest of the time she was in his presence. Sometimes even turning her back to him in a dismissive manner, only causing him to smirk at her bratty stuck up behavior.

That was their thing up until the night of the poker game when he allowed his crazy to show and Bonnie became afraid of him.

During down time there wasn't much to do, so the fellas in Klaus' camp would play cards to entertain themselves.

And typically these games went fine.

But on this one particular night things got very interesting. They were playing for real money.

Two thousand dollars to be exact and everyone had gathered around to watch, including Klaus and Bonnie.

It was intense. Guys were folding their hand left and right until there was two left.

Damon and Kai, one of Klaus' newest recruits.

He was a real smart ass and no one really liked him because he had a sneaky way about him.

Having a younger brother who was also a smart ass, Damon let the majority of things Kai said and did slide off his back.

But when Kai made the mistake of thinking he was going to cheat his way into winning that two grand, Damon decided he was going to show him the error of his ways.

The boy didn't know who he was fucking with, but he was about to learn and it would be a hard lesson, one that he would never forget.

Because Damon saw the exact moment the card slid from Kai's sleeve onto the table next to his hand like it had been laying there all along.

That's when Damon pulled out his switchblade, shocking the hell out of everyone present when he suddenly jumped up from his chair, stabbing the card to the table.

"If it's one thing I can't stand...that's a fucking cheater." He seethed.

Kai's brown eyes widened. Clearly shocked that he'd been caught because he never got caught by anyone.

"You tried to take my money. That makes you a thief. Kai, do you know what they used to do to thieves back in the day when they were caught stealing?"

All Kai could do was stare up into Damon's dangerously gleaming eyes, swallowing hard.

"They cut off their hands, but me...I'll settle for a couple of fingers."

And then in one fell swoop of the sharp blade, he sliced off Kai's pinkie and ring finger.

Not being able to control her reaction to the gruesome scene, Bonnie screamed and Damon's gaze snapped up in her direction. Their eyes locking.

Hers horrified by what he just did.

Damon was so engrossed by Bonnie that he almost forgot about Kai who let out a loud painful scream of his own.

The sound of the shower shutting off pulled Damon from his wondering thoughts and he got out of bed, slipping on some pajama bottoms.

Crossing over the cold floor in his bare feet, he went to the bathroom where he opened the door and was flooded with the scent of Bonnie's body wash, his skin prickling from the steam that filled the room.

Unaware of his presence, Bonnie opened the shower door and stepped out. Her beautiful body dripping with water as she reached for a towel to dry off.

But she didn't get that far because she finally saw him standing there and she immediately covered herself with the towel.

"What are you doing?"

Damon's eyes missed nothing. From the way Bonnie tightly clutched the towel in her hands to the way her body began to tremble and he knew it wasn't from her being cold.

He casually strolled into the bathroom like it was the most normal thing in the world for him to do and he grabbed his toothbrush.

"Sorry. I need to brush my teeth. My breath is really kicking this morning." He said, flicking the cap open to the toothpaste with his thumb and spreading it over the toothbrush.

Standing there soaking wet and gripping her towel for dear life, Bonnie didn't know what to do. She was truly baffled by his behavior. Was he bipolar? That could truly be a possibility. At that point, Bonnie didn't know what to think anymore when it came to Damon.

She had brought her clothes into the bathroom with her to change into after her shower, but that was a no go now with Damon in there with her and she would be stupid to take her clothes into the bedroom to change when he would just turn around and come back in there once he finished brushing his teeth.

So she just stood there unsure, waiting for him to finish.

Watching Bonnie through the bathroom mirror while brushing his teeth, Damon couldn't help but to think back to all those times he imagined what it would be like to have her for himself and now she was his.

And he was going to spoil her just as Klaus had while he was alive, but unlike Klaus he wanted Bonnie to be his in every sense of the word.

Mind. Body. Soul. He wanted everything from her.

"I brought you something back from Miami." Damon said breaking the silence between them.

Surprise registered on Bonnie's face watching as he quickly rinsed his mouth out with water before leaving the room.

Again she was left with not knowing what to think.

Swallowing hard as he approached her, she couldn't stop feeling vulnerable standing there naked with only a towel covering her as he came to stand before her, his strong body towering over hers. He held a slender black box in front of her, opening it to reveal the most gaudy thick gold necklace Bonnie had ever seen in her life.

Was he joking with her? Was it a gag gift?

Did he actually expected her to wear this circa 1987 Salt n Pepa Push It gold chain?

Did he really think this was her style?

Apparently he did because seconds later he was taking it out of the box and clasping it around her neck.

Bonnie immediately felt its heaviness and knew that it was real gold.

Using the opportunity to step away from him to gain some much needed space between them, she went to look at herself in the mirror and it was just as god awful around her neck as she expected it would be.

But she was guessing the necklace cost Damon a pretty penny. Probably five grand at the most.

Which meant when she pawned it she would more than likely get about three thousand for it.

As she stared at her reflection in the mirror she tried not to visibly tense when Damon came to stand behind her.

She instantly felt the heat of his body against her back.

Her hand nervously reached up to touch the necklace. "It's beautiful... I love it. Thank you Damon."

His hands had a mind of their own, coming to rest upon her slender shoulders. "You're beautiful."

Seeing the desire in his eyes made her want to pull away, but she didn't.

"I can't keep my eyes off you, you're so fucking beautiful." He said, his hands sliding down her arms. "You were all I could think about while I was in Miami."

Bonnie watched as Damon leaned down over her and she forced herself to remain still.

He wrapped his arms around her pulling her body against his as he buried his face in her neck.

"Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. I can make it feel good to you Bonnie...I can make you like it."

Too busy feeling her up, he didn't catch the brief look of disgust that crossed Bonnie's face as he held her in his embrace. He would never make her like it. Never.

Even though she was scared to death, Bonnie stood there and took it. She had to. There was no other way.

But every fiber of her being was rejecting everything that her mind was trying to talk her body into doing.

Damon held Bonnie's gaze in the mirror as he undid her towel, letting it drop to the floor and she knew there was no going back now.

His hands covered her breasts, squeezing them gently.

And then one found its way between her legs, making Bonnie turn her head away from the mirror. Needing to distance herself from the moment as if it were happening to someone else.

Just then someone knocked on Damon's bedroom door, interrupting them and Damon cursed, burying his face against her hair.

Bonnie swallowed hard, more than ready for him to take his fucking hands off of her.

"Don't move an inch, I'll be right back." He told her.

Removing his hand from between her legs, he brought it to his mouth his tongue darting out to taste her on his fingertips.

"I knew you would taste good." He said before leaving the bathroom.

As soon as he shut the door closed, Bonnie took off that hideous necklace and began to get dressed as quickly as possible. Her hands shaking uncontrollably as she did so because that was so close.

When she was done, she hung up the towel to dry.

Just as Bonnie was coming out of the bathroom, Damon was shutting the bedroom door, whoever it was outside now gone.

"Why are you dressed?" He asked, clearly surprised to see her wearing clothes after he told her to stay put.

"I didn't eat anything last night, I'm starving." The lie rolling off her tongue with ease.

When he began to walk towards her, Bonnie had to mentally tell herself not to back away from him.

Damon wrapped his arms around her, slightly bending his knees so that he wasn't towering over her.

"I guess that's a good reason." He smiled at her.

Bonnie felt like she was in the fucking twilight zone because Damon was acting like the two of them were some happy couple that had been together for years and this was just a typical morning in their life.

He truly was a fucking psycho.
