The shuttle to the Republic Fleet took less time than Nadia thought. She hadn't expected to leave the Jedi Order so soon. And yet, here she was setting out on a mission for the first time.

She sighed, knowing she would be safe. But what about her lightsaber? Yes, what about that? She pulled out her kyber crystal, the one she found in the Crystal Caves on Dantooine. It still needed a hilt, one that would assure her she could use its powers, harness them, and make the worlds and planets a better place to live.

She no longer carried her training blade, for that she left behind, before she met Kaiden. The Council had her training blade now. Now, all that was left for her was to create her first lightsaber, see this through. She looked up at her father, as he sat beside her. She sighed, wondering if and when she would build her lightsaber.

"Dad," Nadia turned to her hobbit father, looking at him keenly. He smiled at her, making her hesitate. "Do you know when I'll craft my first lightsaber?"

"Oh! I have a present for you," Frodo said, handing to her lightsaber pieces, as well as a wood casing for the hilt. "You said you wanted a wood casing for your lightsaber."

Nadia nodded. "Yes. I sure did."

Frodo gestured to the workbench behind them. "Here. Why don't you craft your lightsaber over there? I'll show you how." He stood up, leading his daughter over to the workbench. He waited until she was there, in a meditative state, before resting his hands against her shoulders. He whispered, "You might want to consider a new outfit. I think they have a selection over at the Republic Fleet."

Nadia smiled, glancing up, "I will consider it, Papa. Thank you."

"You're welcome," Frodo said, smiling down at her.

.

Nadia focused, drawing the Force to her, to guide her through crafting her first lightsaber. Through her meditation, she saw visions of the pieces of her lightsaber come together, the kyber crystal at its center. How they fit into place, how they moved, and where they were put together, fashioned to the design she wanted.

Each piece of her lightsaber was unique, which suited her greatly. She looked up, opening her eyes, as the final pieces came together, snapped and screwed on into place. By the time her lightsaber was finished, she witnessed its smooth wooden surface, made out of a light brown wood.

She stood up, extending her hand towards her lightsaber. Her lightsaber came to her through the air, until it rested in her hand. She held onto it as she ignited it, its blue beam shimmering, before turning into a silvery color. The beam radiated silver when it clashed against something, as Nadia learned all too quickly. But the lightsaber's beam turned blue to cool down. In other words, her lightsaber became cool and calm, once it was held by her.

Nadia turned off her lightsaber, impressed she could finally craft it to her liking. She sighed, smiling as she put her lightsaber hilt on her belt. She looked at her father, as the shuttle reached the Republic Fleet.

.

The moment Nadia stepped off the shuttle, she looked behind her. Karris walked outside the shuttle, carrying his newly crafted silver-hilted lightsaber. Karris turned on his lightsaber, showing a red beam when he held onto it, but a silvery beam emitting underneath the red. The silver beam was revealed as soon as the red beam disappeared with a spark of light.

Karris looked at her with a warm smile, saying, "Well, I am still one with the Sith. This way, the Sith will know I am loyal to their cause, as I adjust to being with the Jedi."

Nadia looked at him, asking him, "Don't you like the Jedi?"

"Well…" Karris shrugged, "…kinda. But this is not the place to discuss this." He turned off his lightsaber, stowing it on his belt, as he looked at her again. "Come on. Let's talk in the cantina. I'm sure the Republic Fleet has a cantina around here." He wandered off, making his way towards the elevator, which would take him to the Main Level.

Nadia sighed, glancing around as her mother stepped in, "How is he?" Melody asked.

"Hmm? Him who?" Nadia asked, as they walked.

Melody smiled, blushing, "Why, you and Karris. He sounds like he's the right match."

"He's a Sith! I would be so surprised if the Jedi and the Sith dated, let alone married," Nadia shook her head. "Who could hear of it?"

"Well, no one said it's impossible. You should be lucky," Melody said, walking on.

A thought crossed Nadia's mind. She looked up at Melody, getting her attention, "You were attracted to a Sith? Wasn't it Anakin Skywalker?"

"Shh! Not now," Frodo shushed his daughter, wrapping an arm around his wife, "Your mother is known for attracting fictional characters. But she chose me and still crushes on male fictional characters. She's a fangirl at heart."

Melody blushed, admitting to him, "It was a long time ago."

Frodo smirked, disbelieving her, "No, I think you still crush on them. It never went away," He smiled, kissing her cheek, "You're a woman after my own heart. My own fangirl." He touched noses with her, resting his forehead against hers. Melody blushed, as he dipped her. He kept his hand pressed against her back, preventing her from falling. "I still entice you, don't I?" He kissed her on the lips, swooping her up on her feet again. He released her, making her and himself caught in a wave of awkwardness.

Frodo smiled, laughing, "Yes. I still have it." He laughed, as Melody hardly found words to say. Frodo smiled, wrapping an arm around her, "Come on. Let's meet with Karris. Or else, our daughter wants to see him."

Nadia looked up at her father and her mother in disgust. They were a happy couple, all right. "Um… I'll find Karris on my own. You two go off without me."

"Are you sure? We'd love to spend time with you," Frodo said, checking up on her.

"I'll be fine," Nadia said. She looked around, asking them, "Where's Parker and his wife, Eliza?"

Frodo laughed. "They're probably somewhere on the spaceport." He patted his wife's shoulder, telling her, "Come on, Melody. You were right: our daughter is grown up." He looked at Nadia, telling her, "We'll meet you in the cantina."

"Good luck, Nadia, Kaiden," Melody said, waving to them.

.

Kaiden approached Nadia. The look on Kaiden's face, that disgusted look to how their parents were behaving, made Nadia chuckle. Yes, they were here because of their parents! But then, their parents were going off doing whatever they wanted.

It was just Nadia and Kaiden. What could they do now? Hmm? Nadia had no idea. She checked her pockets, making sure she had enough credits to buy her new outfit. She knew exactly what she wanted!

"Wow! Our parents are really happy," Kaiden joked, sarcasm nailing him hard.

Nadia sighed, telling him, "They're happy. They're…"

"…in love," Kaiden finished her sentence. "Well, they do give us hope."

Nadia sighed, staring at her parents, as they disappeared towards the elevator. "Yeah, they do." She shrugged, telling Kaiden, "Listen, now that we're here, we're safe. You can do whatever you want. Meet me in the cantina, where our parents are, when you're done."

"What will you do?" Kaiden asked.

Nadia looked around. She admitted to him with a warm smile, "I'm going to buy a new outfit. I'll see you later." She darted towards the elevator, realizing she left Kaiden be. She looked at him, as he stared around the hangar. She waved him over, saying to him, "Oh, come on! You can accompany me!"

Kaiden smiled, joining her. "I'd be most grateful. I need to protect you, as you do for me."

Nadia smiled, answering, "Right." She sighed, gesturing for him to follow her to the elevator, "Oh, come on. We'll get new outfits together."

"Yes!" Kaiden screamed, heading towards the elevator with her.

.

The inside of the Republic Fleet's spaceport had a circular metal walkway. The cantina was found at the centermost point of the spaceport, which included a place for storage. A personal storage hub for those who wanted to keep their belongings safe. There was also a cartel market located in the spaceport's upper levels.

There were plenty of vendors, a place to buy speeders and speeder bikes, a place to do crafting, as well as becoming skilled in other vocations available to the Jedi, Troopers, and Smugglers. There was also a Light Side Vendor and a Dark Side Vendor available, for those wishing to learn and harness those powers, if that person had gone too far to the Light Side or the Dark Side, or that person could choose neither side, sticking the Vendors who housed training for Grey Jedi and Grey Sith.

To Nadia's surprise, she could buy her own stronghold, if she wished to live on her own. Her family had a stronghold available to them on Coruscant, which housed nine people. And with their group of seven, Nadia discovered, upon checking the stronghold, that they allowed Light Siders and Dark Siders to their stronghold.

Hmm… Nadia wasn't sure if she should buy herself her own stronghold. Her family were pretty much a tight group, a unit. If one of them broke off, it would devastate the family. That was how tight their bond was. It was no wonder Frodo Baggins, Nadia's father, looked up to Parker Dooley, the light red dragonoid, for advice and help in anything they wished. Parker healed Frodo and Frodo returned the favor.

And yet, Nadia was sure her father would save Parker Dooley's life again, or ask Parker to save him. Hmm… Nadia wondered if her father truly liked being saved. He was a damsel in distress, but a compassionate one. And even though Nadia's mother sometimes regretted her decision to help him, she did help Frodo.

"Nah. I might as well share the stronghold that my family already owns," Nadia said, walking away from the Stronghold Vendor.

Kaiden looked at her in amazement. "Gee, you don't want to live on your own? We could work as master and padawan anytime you choose."

Nadia placed a hand on his shoulder. She told him, with kindness, "All in good time, Kaiden." She gestured with her hand, "Come on. I'm going to a vendor that sells Jedi outfits."

Kaiden shrugged. "Whatever you say."

.

Nadia found her Jedi Knight trainer eventually. She was pleased to see him, a blue-skinned Twi'lek man who wore brown robes and connected to the Force in a way that was strong. She smiled, delighted to meet him, for this Jedi Knight trainer had more to teach her.

Nadia bought her Jedi Knight outfit from a Jedi Knight Vendor in the same room as her trainer. Nadia had purchased the Tarnished Pummeler's MK-2 outfit, which would protect her from her enemies for as long as it took to defeat them. This armored outfit had browns and blues for their colors. Her brown chest guard piece revealed her stomach, but not on her top half, which covered her chest area.

Her greaves were brown, with a sash covering up her private parts. She had brown boots, armguards, brown gauntlets, brown headgear wrapped around her head, and a brown and blue belt, which was strapped over her waist.

Kaiden also had a similar outfit on. The difference was his stomach was covered up by grey cloth. The rest of the outfit was similar as hers, which matched his older sister well.

Nadia looked at him, pleased to see he was dressed in the same outfit as her, "Welcome aboard."

"Thanks," Kaiden said, pleased to hear it.

Nadia turned to her Jedi trainer, asking him, "Well, I'm ready. What do you have to teach me?"

Her Jedi Knight trainer looked at her, moving his hand off his device, "Ah yes, let us begin your training."
