While the doctor was fixing Natasha's wound. Nick explains how he is still alive.
"Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache." Nick told them.
"Don't forget your collapsed lung." The doctor mentioned.
"Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good." Fury chuckled softly.
"They cut you open, your heart stopped." Natasha spoke up.
"Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache." Nick told us.
"Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it." Fury answered.
"Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?" Sora asked.
"Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful." Maria told him. Sora turned to Fury.
"Nick, Hyrda and the Heartless has taken over S.H.I.E.L.D." He said. Nick didn't saying instead he took his at the celing.
"I should have known." He muttered.
Meanwhile inside the Bank Vault, the HYDRA agents fix Bucky's metal arm and as they do so he has a brief flashback to his old life after he was recovered by Zola and the HYDRA agents. He then noticed Pierce enters the room.
"The man on the bridge, who was he?" he had asked.
"You met him earlier this week on another assignment." The man—Pierce, he knew now—had sat down on a stool in front of him so that they were eye level.
The Winter Soldier had glanced back at his superior. "I knew him."
"Your work has been a gift to mankind. You shaped the century. And I need you to do it one more time," Pierce explained. "Society is at a tipping point between order and chaos. Tomorrow morning we're giving it a push. But you don't do your part—I can't do mine. And Hydra can't give the world the freedom it deserves."
He wanted to give the world freedom, just like he was being asked. "But I knew him." And he wanted to know why. Pierce stared at him before he turned to the scientist.
"Prep him." He ordered.
"Sir, he has been out of cryo for too long!" The Doctor stated with a protest.
Fine,... Then wipe him and start over." He said. The scientists strap Bucky in his chair and then place a teeth shield in his mouth as they begin the process of wiping his brain with Bucky screaming in pain. He then retires from the room to walk to his office. He sits at his desk, preparing to drink his whisky when a dark corridor came out was Maleficent and Pete.
"Sora and Rogers knows about our plan." He told her. Maleficent scowled.
"Then we have no time to waste." She turns to her Henchman.
"Pete, I want you to go with the Winter Solider and make sure Sora and Captain Rogers doesn't interfere with our plans." The former Resident of Disney Castle saluted.
"You can count on me, Maleficent." He walked out, not looking at the door. Because of that he bumped into the door thus hurting his head. This made Maleficent face palmed. Why did she have to have an idiot as an Henchman?
While the doctor's were fixing Natasha's arm. Fury was looking at a picture of Pierce.
This man declined the Nobel Peace Prize. He said, "Peace wasn't an achievement, it was a responsibility." See, it's stuff like this that gives me trust issues." Fury smiled faintly.
"We have to stop the launch." Natasha grew angry.
"I don't think the Council's accepting my calls anymore." Fury smartly replied.
Fury opens up a case which contained three chips.
Okay then?
"What's that?" Sam asked.
"Once the Helicarriers reach three thousand feet, they'll triangulate with Insight satellites becoming fully weaponized." Maria explained.
"One or two won't cut it. We need to link all three carriers for this to work, because if even one of those ships remains operational a whole lot of people are gonna die or turn into Heartless." Maria finished.
"We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers is HYDRA. We need to get pass them, insert the server blades, and maybe, just maybe, we can salvage what's left..." Fury said.
"We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking down the carriers, Nick, we're taking down S.H.I.E.L.D.." Steve snapped.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. had nothing to do with it." Fury stared at him in disbelief.
"You gave me this mission, this is how it ends. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s been compromised, you've said so yourself. HYDRA was right under your nose and nobody noticed." Steve glared at him.
"Why do you think we're meeting in this cave? I noticed. Hell, Stark was the one who came to the conclusion about HYDRA in the first place." Fury scoffed.
"And how many paid the price before you did notice?" Steve retorted.
"Look, I didn't know about Barnes." Fury sighed.
"Even if you have, would you have told me? Or would you have compartmentalized that too? S.H.I.E.L.D, Hyrda, the Heartless, it all goes."
"He's right, Nick." Sora agreed. He then stands up.
"I'm with Cap until the end."
"Me too." Kairi agreed as she took her husband's hands.
"Don't look at me. I do what he does, just slower." Sam folded his arms. Nick gave out a sigh.
"Well it looks like you're giving the orders Captain."
Later on, Sora and Steve were standing on a bridge. Steve told Sora about how Bucky has always been there for each other.
"That sounds like me and Riku. He's been like a brother to me since we were kids." Sora said. Steve smiled.
"Yeah, you told me that he was controlled by Xehanort and Maleficent. But you saved him." He said.
"Yeah, the Bucky you knew is still there, we can save him." Sora smiled then shook Sora's hand.
"Sora, you've been a good friend." Sora grinned and gripped his hand with Steve. Sam later joined them with a frown.
He's gonna be there, you know." Sam crossed his arms and leaned up against the railing.
"I know."
"Look, whoever he used to be, and the guy he is now, I don't think he's the kind you save. He's the kind you stop." Sam said, trying to get through to him.
"I don't know if I can do that."
"Well, he might not give you a choice. He doesn't know you." Steve turns to him with a grin.
"He will." He said. Gear up, it's time."
Steve nodded to Sora before walking back towards the city. "You two just gonna wear that?" they heard Sam call.
Sora gave a wary smile to Steve, who turned his head to look back as he walked. "No, if you're gonna fight a war, you gotta wear a uniform."
In the Captain America Exhibit, The security guard walks along the halls, but as he passes the dummies that wore the uniforms of the howling commandos unit, he looks up and shock covers his face.
"Oh man, I am so fired." he said. He sees Captain America's suit gone. Not noticing from afar, Sora sees the man and gives a puzzled look while he was walking.
"He looks like Mr. Lee." He muttered.
Agent Hill and Sam walk into a small opening as Cap and Sora emerge from the woods, Cap wearing his old uniform, the four then began to walk to S.H.I.E.L.D HQ. Natasha and Kairi were planning their own attack at S.H.I.E.L.D. so Sora joined Cap to stop the machines from firing.
Hill set off a device that scrambled the satellite dish, and they waited outside for one of the techs to emerge. As soon as the door unlocked, Sam pulled out one of his automatic pistols and held it at the techie.
Steve stepped forward. "Excuse us."
Pierce meets the World Security Council as they arrive at the Triskelion.
"How was your flight?" Pierce asks the council.
"Lovey, the riot from the airport, less so." the council woman tells him.
"Sadly S.H.I.E.L.D can't control everything." Pierce states.
"Including Captain America, and the Keybearer?" One Commander asked. Pierce walks over to one of the guards who hands him a case containing four pins. "This fatuity is biometrically controlled and these will give you unrestricted access." he tells them and they clip the pins on; the four then broke into communications lab as Pierce was giving his speech to the council.
"I know the road hasn't exactly been smooth, and some of you would have gladly kicked me out of the car along the way. Finally we're here, and the world should be grateful."
As they start drinking to Pierce's toast suddenly they hear someone speaking monitor ring.
"Attention, all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. This is Steve Rogers."
"And Sora." Sora said. "You've heard a lot about us over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt us down. But I think it's time you know the truth."
"S.H.I.E.L.D. is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader, He's teamed up with the witch Maleficent and her Lackey Pete. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building." Steve said.
Steve then spoke. "They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to turn people into Heartless and take over this world unless we stop them."
"Think with your hearts on who to trust. That's all we ask for." Steve pleaded. This gave Sam a chuckle.
"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" Sora rubbed his head in embarrassment.
"I wrote it on our way here."
"They're still launching the Helicarriers." Maria interrupted them. "It's time."
Steve, Sam and Sora nodded. The three rushed out of the room and headed for the Helicarriers.
The councilmen and woman all glared at Pierce in anger after learning the truth.
Rockwell immediately turned to Pierce. "You smug son of a bitch" Two agents came to the room holding guns.
"Arrest him!" Singh pointed the agents towards Pierce. However they pointed at the Councilman.
"I guess I've got the floor," he said casually.
In the Control Room of the Triskelion, agents were looking around at the other people in the room, wondering if any of them were secretly working for HYDRA. They all knew Brock Rumlow was one of their enemies when he walked in with some of his STRIKE team, but nobody did anything when he walked past them, because they were afraid of what might happen if they tried to do anything.
"Preempt the launch sequence. Send those ships up now." Rumlow told the Sheld tech, but he didn't do anything. He was looking round the room at the other people around him, while Rumlow continued to stare at him, and wondering why his demand hadn't been done yet, "If there a problem?"
The tech just shook his head, everybody in the room staring at him, and wanting to know what his next move was going to be. He was already frightened by what was going on, with a known HYDRA agent looming over his shoulder and his colleagues all turned to face him. It would have been quite easy to give in to the demand and he would be done with it, but then he himself would become the enemy.
"Is there a problem?" Rumlow repeated, even louder and more forceful then the first time he said it.
"I'm sorry, sir." The tech answered quickly, his breathing picking up as he is heart continued to beat faster and faster; all eyes fixed on him as they waited with baited breath to see what his next move would be, "I'm not gonna launch those ships… Captain's orders."
Rumlow pulled out a gun from the holster on his thigh and raised it to The tech's head; moving slightly from the technicians side to the back, an execution style kill if he were to fire at that moment. "Move away from your station." He ordered, not knowing Sharon pointing her gun at him.
"Like he said, Captain's orders." All the S.H.I.E.L.D. loyalists and Hydra all held their guns at the same time, pointing them at each other.
"You picked the wrong side, agent." He tried to reason with her.
"Depends on where you're standing." She Sneered. Rumlow sighed and slowly lowered his gun. He suddenly brandished a knife and slashed at Sharon's arm, making her fall down as all the S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra agents fired at each other. Sharon managed to kick the tech out of the way as Rumlow typed the launch codes and ran off while Sharon ran after him, firing.
Sora, Cap and Sam rushes on their way to stop the helicarriers to stop the machine once and for all.
"Hey, Cap, Sora. How do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" Sam asked.
"If they're shooting at you, they're bad." Steve replied.
"Not to mention them turning into Heartless!" Sora answered. Sam, uses his Falcon suit, and flies off as Cap and Sora heads down. Cap jumps off landing on his feet near the Helicarrier below. Sora followed in suit. Steve used his shield. to protect against the agents firing at them, vaulting himself over a large crate in a flip.
He dove behind another crate, running right into an agent. He slammed his fist into the agent's face. Sora used his fire magic and uses them against the agents. Cap dove right behind a crate, running right into an agent. He slammed his fist into the agent's face, slammed him back against the crate behind him, then snatched the grenade off his shoulder before letting him drop. Cap pulled the pin, then threw the grenade at the agents a few crates away. The explosion crippled any immediate agents firing at them.
Sam was flying up above, toward another helicarrier. Cannons suddenly began blasting at him, and he spun and dove to miss being shot out of the sky. "Whoa, Cap. I found those bad guys you were talking about!" he said.
His voice carried over the coms, coming into Sora's ear piece. He struck the two agents with his Lighting magic. "Are you alright?" he asked Sam, as he shoots fire on an agent's face without looking.
"Well, I'm not dead yet," Sam replied, as though that were supposed to be reassuring. Sora shook his head as he caught up to Cap.
Maria came over the comm, "Falcon, status?"
"Engaging!" He replied shortly. More shots were taken at him and Sora was almost through with taking out the men on the surface. Falcon activated his pack and a set of rifles made their way into his hands. He took out the two remaining men.
"Alright, Cap, I'm in," he notified him. As soon as he said it a plane came overhead targeting him.
"Shit!" Sam manages to fly off and avoid getting hit.
"Shit!" He spiralled downwards almost coming out of control of his wings but snapped up just in time to avoid getting hit. Meanwhile, Cap and Sora had encountered more HYDRA agents upon an attempted entry to the Helicarrier and groaned aloud when Maria spoke again, "Eight minutes, guys."
"Working it, Maria." Sora said.
Pierce watched from the window the commotion caused by Steve and team trying to stop the Helicarriers launching, he turned to Singh.
"Let me ask you a question. What if Pakistan marched into Mumbai tomorrow, and you knew that they were gonna drag your daughters into a soccer stadium for execution?" Pierce handed Sing a glass of champagne, "And you could just stop it with a flick of a switch. Would you? Wouldn't you all?"
"Not if it was your switch." Singh tossed the glass aside, one of the HYDRA agents handed Pierce his gun and Pierce pointed it at Singh.
Suddenly, Hawley kicked Singh away then took down the other HYDRA agents in the room before taking the gun and pointing at Pierce. She then removed her disguise to reveal it's Natasha who had a triumphant smirk on her face.
"I'm sorry. Did I step on your moment?" Pierce just stood there in shock, then he sees another council raises his hand and out cames a Keyblade, He then uses his face to uncover his or rather her disguise. It was Kairi who takes off the suit she was wearing and now wearing her usual pink outfit.
"Oh I'm sorry, were you expecting a guy?"
"Alpha locked." Steve said, glancing across the Helicarrier. Maria spoke.
"Falcon, where are you now?" Sam flew towards one of the Helicarriers, heat seeking missiles hot on his tail.
"I had to take a detour!" He ducked, and one slammed into the Helicarrier, creating an entrance thanks to the explosion.
"Oh, yeah! Bravo locked." He called, landing briefly in the carrier before jetting out.
"Two down, one to go." Hill sighs in relief.
"What are you doing?" Councilman Rockwell asked Natasha who was on the computer. Kairi still had her Keyblade pointing at him.
"She's disabling security protocols and dumping all the secrets onto the Internet." Pierce told and stepped close to Natasha while the councilman pointed a gun at him the whole time.
"Including HYDRA's."
"And SHIELD's. If you do this, none of your past is gonna remain hidden." Pierce knew about her past and he will use it to lure Natasha but she continued typing into the computer. So he too continued, "Are you sure you're ready for the world to see you as you really are?"
Natasha looked up at Pierce with determination in her eyes, not doubting her resolve, "Are you?"
Another loud bombing and explosion sounded from the ground level.
"Disabling the encryption is an executive order, it takes two Alpha Level members." Pierce said.
"Don't worry, company's coming."
Just then a helicopter appeared outside, landed and Fury stepped out to enter the building to Pierce's surprise.
"Did you get my flowers? I'm glad you're here, Nick." The secretary slyly greeted. Fury gives his old friend a glare.
"Really? Cause I thought you had me killed."
"You know how the game works." The HYDRA leader shrugged.
"So why make me head of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"Cause you're the best and the most ruthless person I ever met."
"I did what I did to protect people."
"Our enemies are your enemies, Nick. Disorder, war. It's just a matter of time before a dirty bomb goes off in Moscow, or an EMP Chicago. Diplomacy? Holding action, a band-aid. And you know where I learned that; Bogota. You didn't ask, you just did what had to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion people by sacrificing twenty million. We can control the Heartless to attack our enemies and protect this country, Nick, if you have the courage to take it."
"No, I have the courage not to."
Fury took Pierce to the retinal scanner with Kairi still pointing her Keyblade at him.
"Retinal scanner active."
"You don't you think we wiped your clearance from the system?" Pierce asked.
"I know you erased my password, probably deleted my retinal scan, but if you want to stay ahead of me, Mr. Secretary..." Fury trailed off, removing his eye patch to reveal his scarred dead eye. "You need to keep both eyes open." They both looked into the retinal scanner with Fury using his dead eye. Harry was impressed by the forethought involved in that.
"Alpha Level confirmed. Encryption code accepted. Safeguards removed."
"Done." Natasha said, before looking at her cellphone. "And it's trending. Ohh... And so is your wedding Kairi. Even after a couple days." She walked over to Kairi to show her.
"Wow... people seem to love mine and Sora's love story."
Meanwhile Sora and Cap were on their way towards the helicarrier. They both hear Maria Hill through the Comm.
"Charlie Carrier's forty five degrees off the port bow," Maria called over the comms. "Six minutes."
"Hey, Sam, I'm gonna need a ride," Steve said as Sora went on a different route, He jumps up then he glides on his way to the Helicarrier.
"Roger! Let me know when you're ready," Sam replied.
Instead of saying anything back, Steve lept from the edge of the carrier as shots rang out all around him.
"I just did!"
Sam had just enough of a warning to race down and catch his falling friend. Sam shook his head and flew them quickly to the last helicarrier They land near Sora who was patiently waiting for them. "You know, you're a lot heavier than you look."
"I had a big breakfast," Steve joked. They landed on their feet, then from out of nowhere, Bucky charged at Cap while also dragging Sora.
"Cap, Sora!" Sam cried as he goes to fly off and help them. Bucky grabs one of his wings and throws him back, Sam starts shooting at Bucky and as he goes to fly off Bucky uses his weapon to rip off one of Sam's wings and kicks him off the Helicarrier, Sam manages to get his parachute out and lands on the roof of the Triskelion. Meanwhile both Sora and Cap was holding onto the Helicarrier. They then landed there safely.
"Cap, Sora! Are you guys okay." Sora didn't answer as he was panting. Cap, however answered through the comm.
"Yeah, we're fine. Where are you?"
"I'm grounded," Falcon replied shortly, "the suit's down. Sorry, guys." Once Sora caught his breath he looked down and gave Sam a sad smile.
"Don't worry. We've got this. Go do your part." They Ran off to the control room, unaware that the Solider is keeping his eye on them. He then touches his comm.
"Maleficent... They're on their way... and so am I."
"Good." Maleficent smirked. "Once they made their appearance. Pete and I will assist you."
As everyone at the Triskelion is rushing around trying to evacuate the building Rumlow fights and kills some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Maria glanced at it then she called Sam..
"Falcon, Rumlow's Headed for the Council.
"I'm on it." Sam said as he runs towards the council.
Sora and Cap finally made it to the Helicarrier. Unfortunately so did Bucky who confronted the Two heroes.
"People are gonna die, Buck. We can't let that happen." Bucky didn't say anything. He just gives him a cold stare.
"Please don't make us fight you." Sora pleaded. Just then green and black flames appear in front of the group and it's the same green woman. Following her is her sidekick Pete. Sora seethed.
"Long time no see, Sora. I see you have your strength back." Maleficent said.
"Maleficent. I should have known you'd be in this world." Sora growled. She didn't answer him instead she takes a look at the Machine they were plan to fire.
"So... you think you can stop us with your friend from using this machine into turning into Heartless all over New York?" She scoffed. "Don't be absursed, Sora. Even if you have your strength back and defeated those fool Xehanort and Loki, you're still no match for the Winter Solider."
"Yeah, Pete Agreed. "So you might as well just give up, runt. Solider stop them." Bucky was about to charge at them but Cap threw his shield before he could get to him. Unfortunately for him, Bucky deflected it Cap caught it just in time before he shot at him. Sora jumps up and knocks the gun out of Bucky's hand with his Keyblade. Bucky tried to punch Sora but he keeps dodging his attacks by moving his head back and forth. He then gives Bucky an uppercut from his Keyblade. Knocking Bucky up the air but Buck regained his balance and jumped down without any effort. He walks over to Sora, not knowing that Cap throws his Shield at his head, knocking him unconscious. Sora and Cap looked at each other and nodded before turning over to Maleficent. The witch gives out a sigh.
"If you want something right, you gotta do it yourself. Stand aside, Pete. I will handle them." Pete groaned.
"But what about my big moment?" He whined. Maleficent gives her henchman a glare.
"Silence you imbecile." Just then Maleficent began to glow with a bright green light, and then it went all around her, covering her and the twenty feet above her as well, out of sight. Went the green fire faded, Sora and Cap were shocked by what they saw, Maleficent was in her dragon form. Sora sighed while rolling his eyes.
"Really? You're turning into a dragon again? Why not turn into something cooler? Like a Cobra? No, that's Jafar."
"Uh, Sora. We have more important things to worry about." Cap motioned. Sora slapped his head and nodded.
"Right, Cap. Her weakness is her head." Sora said but before he could get there, Maleficent opened her mouth with green fire coming out. Cap deflected it with his shield and threw it at her chest he then jumps on her back but unluckily, the dragon turns around and uses her mouth to try to bite him. Maleficent then flaps her wings and rises from the ground.
"Uh, Sora. How did you attack her when she flies?" Asked Cap.
"I don't know, she didn't fly at our last battle?" Sora said. Cap's eyes widen.
"Oh... crap." The dragon then fired huge balls of green fire at the two heroes but they dodge it while Sora blocked it. Maleficent started to fly over them to finish them off. This gives Sora an idea as he whispers at Cap's ear. Cap looks up at the dragon then at his friend.
"Let's do it." He crouched and used his shield. Sora runs to cap and jumps on his shield as Cap pushes Sora up, making his towards Maleficent he aims his Keyblade and a shade of light aims toward her. The light hits Maleficent's heart, causing her to fall down and as she's falling down, she falls towards Pete.
"Oh, no. Don't worry Maleficent. I'll catch you!" Unknown to Pete, Sora points his Keyblade from behind, creating a portal. Once Pete caught Maleficent the portal sucks both of them in. Sora then locks the portal with his Keyblade. Cap sighed in reluctant relief.
"At least their out of the way."
"Yeah." Sora agreed as they were on their way towards the machine. Then all of a sudden, Bucky woke up and punched Sora in the face.
"Sora!" Cap cried. Bucky walks towards Sora and attempts to pick him up. However, Sora kicked in his face and jumps near Cap.
"Cap, I know he's your best friend but we gotta stop him." Cap sighed in sadness but then he stares at Bucky with a determined look.
"Agreed."
