Chapter 6 - Compelled
When her sister Anastasia went out, Elena stood in front of the now closed door, not really understanding why she was in such a rush. So she decided to investigate, she went to the window, pushing the curtains aside to watch what her sister was doing. And she didn't really know the moment she was supposed to have a heart attack. Was it at the moment she saw Kol Mikaelson with her? Or when she saw his brother Finn, acknowledging the fact that there are two originals with her? Or when she saw her sister dagger Finn, then Kol putting her in a chokehold and then all three leaving a car?
At every action she was shocked. Which is why she decided to call the gang.
« Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean she left with Kol and Finn who had passed out? », asks Stefan, who frankly was not believing what he was hearing.
« Stefan, it's exactly what I said. She came, went to her room, then came down and when I wanted to talk to her, she said she didn't have time and was out of the house before I could even answer. She daggered Finn and for a moment I thought Kol was going to kill her. But he didn't and then they left…I don't understand. », explains Elena.
For a moment the Scooby doo gang stays silent, trying to think of a possible answer for this situation. They all saw what happened at the ball, and none of them understood exactly what happened. The whole group was sure, Elena's sister knew nothing about the supernatural world because they always made sure she was out of it. No one, to hurt her in any way, and mostly she was not an outgoing person, always on her side, shy and quiet, so what she did at the Mikaelson's party was completely out of character for her.
« Maybe she is compelled ? », Tyler suggests. He didn't particularly know her, she wasn't very talkative but she is kind from what he saw from time to times.
« No, she can't. I mean she still had the necklace Stefan gave her. And even if she was, why would someone have compelled her. », said Stefan, not really understanding.
« Yeah and yesterday, when she looked at us, she didn't even recognise Elena, her sister. And she was acting different from the usual Ana, more fun, open, insane even. », hurts out Caroline. « Damon, are you sure you didn't mind blow her or something? », she adds, looking at Damon in suspicion.
« Don't look at me like that barbie vamp! I'm pretty sure I have nothing to do with whatever is going on with her. », he says looking annoyed with the whole situation.
« What! Can you blame, you compelled her at first when you came to town, you could have done it again. You always thought she was boring. » At this point everybody is looking at him suspiciously.
Getting angry, Damon vamps out in front of her. « I didn't do anything to her. », he greets out. « Plus I'm sure if I did she would have been hanging out with me, wouldn't she? Having um…pleasurable fun with me. »
« Guys, stop! I think something is wrong with my sister! Maybe it's the Mikaelsons' plan, we need to find out, or maybe just eliminate them for good. » Elena didn't want her sister taking part in the supernatural world, 'I should have sent her away with Jeremy', she thinks. 'Thanks there are the Salvatores here with me.'
« Don't worry Elena. I will do everything I can to find out what's going on with her. You're not alone. », says Stefan, looking at the girl he loves with love in his eyes.
Of course Damon, saw it and doesn't like it so he decides to cut the moment. « Of course, saint Stefan with the hero hair is here to save the day. »
« Damon, be serious about it. It's my sister. I don't want her hurt, so we're going to find out what they did to her. I'm sure they did something, she was dancing with the Mikaelsons children yesterday, it's not normal ! », shouts Elena, at Damon.
« Fine Elena. But from my point of view there's nothing going on. She's a teenager who just came out of her shell ready to explore the world. We should focus on the Originals, stick to the plan with Esther. She's the one who's going to kill them and then boom, no more Mikaelsons and your sister will be fine. », agrees Damon. He didn't particularly care about the sister but he knows that if something happens to her, Elena will be sad about it, and he didn't want that.
« How about, you guys wait for Esther's signal while me and Damon go look for answers. », suggests Stefan to the gang
They think about his plan and all agree with it, even if Damon complains about not wanting to see the old rotten Mikaelsons, but the others don't care about it, they're used to his antics anyways. So leaving the boarding house. The brothers make their way to the Mikaelson mansion.
In the Mikaelsons mansion, Elijah was in his study, reading a book like usual. In the midst of his reading, he could not help himself but think about last night, at the ball. How many smiles he saw on his siblings except Finn who was with mother. He thought about how this Anastasia girl brought a ball of surprise at the celebration. He was definitely not expecting this and then finding himself enjoying the dance and the moment with his brothers and sister, mostly Klaus, hardest of all. Frankly Elijah thought that Anastasia was not going to last long with the way she speaks to Klaus, however he saw the look in his eyes, the liking of having a challenging person, even if according to him that person is a human, weak in nature. She doesn't seem afraid about him and his family. Challenging everyone of them. And it was at this moment that Elijah thought that 'maybe the road to our family's salvation is drawn'.
He got cut in his thinking by the sound of two vampires vamp-speeding in the house and calling his and his siblings's names . Immediately he goes downstairs and apparently Klaus too. Surely Rebekah has gone to do some shopping.
« Hello Salvatores. To what do we owe your unannounced visit? », he asked, confused at their arrival here.
« Yes pray tell, what gave you the courage to come into our house? », added Klaus with a scowl, he does not like the Salvatores, not one bit, perhaps Stefan, but his brother has the pretence of being too cocky for his own good.
« Klaus, Elijah. My brother and I are here to discuss about Anastasia. She has been acting strange since she woke yesterday like she is not herself and we've been wondering if you have - »
« If we have compelled her right? », cuts Elijah with a mysterious smile. He, himself, has also questioned it, frankly it can be a possibility.
« And why would you think such a thing Stefan? Do you think we're planning something? We invited you into our home, our celebration and you dare come in today making speculation? And even if we did, what would we gain in doing so? », says Klaus.
« Well first of all, do you know where Kol and Finn are? », asks Damon.
« They went on a trip with Anastasia. The reason I believe is to get to know Finn more. But what does it have to do with her personality change? », answers Elijah.
« Oh I don't know. Well let's see, she went to her house with both Finn and Kol, and apparently she put a dagger in Finn, then left with Kol and of course, Finn's daggered body. What is the p-. », says Damon with a smirk.
« She what? », exclaims Klaus, who immediately leaves the room to look for the daggers.
« What do you mean by daggered Finn and left with Kol. Surely you've mistaken the situation. », suggests Elijah, really confused about this new information.
Klaus goes downstairs, in a room where his family's coffins are. He opens Finn's looking for the dagger only to find nothing. He does the same as well for the others, but still there are not here. In a moment of rage he throws a coffin to the other side of the room. He can't believe she dared do something like this, coming to his home, stealing something from him, lying…and…and defying him, him The Original Hybrid! How dare she! Agreeing to know more despite his anger, he goes back upstairs to the living room.
« She took the daggers. Each one of them. I looked in the coffins, they're not here! HOW DARE SHE DEFIES ME! ME! » And in an instant, the small tables in the living room are no more, they passed away by flying to the walls of the room. Even the decorations such as flowers, vases, small pieces of art are destroyed.
The Salvatore brothers are stunned, not really knowing what to do, not only with this again new information but also, about Klaus' rage. Who knows what he will do, maybe take it on them.
« Brother ! Calm down! There might be an explanation to this. Surely Kol would not dare doing such a thing. However for Finn, I have some doubts. »
« Calm down! YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN! After what she did? », yells Klaus, then he speeds to Salvatores, pinning them to the wall. « You! You'd better tell me anything you know about his or I'll rip your heads off your body! », threatens Klaus. « TELL ME! »
« We…we don't kn..o.w any..thing. We came here t…to…to ask if yo..u knew s..om..et..hing. » answers Damon with difficulties, Klaus is stronger than them obviously.
Before Klaus can do anything else, he's thrown off to the side by his noble brother.
« Niklaus! Wait a moment, I'll call Kol. He will enlighten us on this. »
« He'd better do. » says Klaus with a dark look all vamped out.
Somewhere in Denver….
« Darling, now that we're here, how do we do to find that b-. », starts Kol, only to be cut by his phone ringing. Looking at it he sees the name Elijah on it. « Shit, my brother Elijah is calling, what to I do now. Any lies in your bucket Maze? »
« I don't know! Why don't you find something! Maybe tell him that…that.. we went to adopt a..horse. Or a dog, I don't know! »
Sighing Kol answers his phone and puts it on speaker. « Well hello Noble brother! How are you doing? Everything's good? »
« Kol, and Anastasia. Where are you and what are you doing with the daggers? » « And you'd better tell me what is the meaning of this or Anastasia you won't have any family left! », threatens Klaus.
« Relax brothers, everything is fine and under control you have nothing to worry about. You see we're at a restaurant right now and we needed knives because it does not have any. I mean can you believe this! A- » Kol is cut By Anastasia and the vampires at the Mikaelson Mansion can hear her whispering. ''Hey, give me the phone I'll explain. You're really bad at it.''
« Um…Elijah. Like Kol said. There's nothing wrong, everything is under control. Um…the-the waiter didn't have any knives for us so…», I start. « Talking about me being bad at explaining darling? », says Panda with a scoff.
'Okay I see, you're back to Kol now'. « Anyways, okay we have the daggers but nothing's wrong. Trust me. », I say.
« How dare you speak of trust when you stole from me, from us! », yells Klaus. « Anastasia, how will I have the certitude of trusting you, you're in possession of the daggers, daggers that can hurt my family. », adds Elijah in a controlled tone.
« Hey, I didn't steal them…I borrowed them and kol is here too, maybe he's the one who took them. ''Darling'' Okay…okay I did but, we'll explain tomorrow, when we come back. ''You know Bothers, it's all about removing the chicken from the pancake so we can eat it.'' Kol! And Elijah, maybe you're right don't trust me, but trust- trust your brother Kol, he's your family. And like he said he will gauge my eyes out if I try anything. So can we have that delay. », says Anastasia giggling.
Elijah sighs, looking at his brother, thinking and finally he decides : « Well Anastasia, it seems that we have a deal, tomorrow night. »
« Thank you Elijah. »
« And Kol, I decided to trust you on this one, do not deceive us brother. » ''Fine'', was Kol's answer.
« Oh Klaus when I come back, you and I are going to have a long conversation. Bye Santa Klaus, bye Noble bee, bye Lancelot and bye Fan. » With that she hangs up.
« Did you seriously agree to what they said? », asks Klaus with annoyance.
« Yes Klaus, she asked for a time delay, by tomorrow we will know everything, just wait. », calmly answers Elijah.
« If anything bad happens Elijah, it's on you. » With that Klaus leaves the room.
« Are we not going to acknowledge the fact that she gave us nicknames. Like Klaus is a Santa klaus, Stefan a Fan, Elijah a noble bee and me…me a Mon? » Yes Damon is really confused about the nicknames, not the situation at all.
« I believe we will just have to wait and see what will be their explanation. », says Elijah with an amused smile on his face thinking about their nicknames and the face Klaus made while hearing his : shock and bewilderment. Yes, Anastasia will be full of surprises. « Salvatores, after this discussion, I think we're done here, aren't we? You know the way out. » Elijah then leaves the room.
Stefan and Damon decide to leave too, to go tell about this new found information. « But seriously what's the thing with the chicken and pancake? », asks Damon before he and Stefan vamp speed to the boarding house.
