A Birthday Party & A Revelation

"SURPRISE!"
Harry woke up with a start holding his wand in his hand ready to fight...But instead, all he saw was Sirius and Lupin standing back with huge grins on their faces and holding a chocolate cake..
"Happy birthday pup" Sirius exclaimed Joyfully and went to sit near Harry's bed..
"Make a wish cub" Remus said holding the cake out towards Harry..
Harry closed his eyes and made a wish 'I wish to stay happy with my family forever'.. He then blew out the candles. Dobby appeared in the room, vanished with the cake and reappeared again with the now neatly cut cake pieces...
"Dobby is having a gift for Master Harry" Dobby said squealing with excitement and gave Harry small box which contained socks which had switches printed on them... (A/N: Harry and Dobby had bonded soon after Harry had moved in with Sirius and Moony. )
"Thank you Dobby" Harry said hugging the little elf...
Dobby vanished with a loud 'pop'
"He is the most vigorous and most loyal elf i have ever seen.. Alright pup, Time for our gifts.. Here, open mine first" Sirius said handing a neatly wrapped package to Harry..
Harry tore the wrapping and opened the box.. Inside it was a new quidditch dress set, containing a Jersey, Boots, pants and seeker gloves.. It also contained a snitch with 'Potter' engraved on it...
"Thank you Padfoot, you are the best.." Harry said hugging Sirius..
"Here you go cub, a small gift from me" Remus said handing Harry his gift..
Harry opened it and was surprised to see that Remus had gotten him a brand new wand holster and a New book on defense titled
'The Book of Curses and Charms"..
"The holster has been specifically modified.. It will only obey your commands.. You can also set a password of your will and the book contains all the important charms and curses that will help you to fight and protect yourself.." Remus explained..
Harry wrapped Remus in a tight hug., "Thank you Moony, this is really the best gift.. No offence, Siri.. Hermione will be so excited to read this book.. I am sure, she will finish the whole book within 2 days.." Harry said in a dreamy voice thinking about Hermione..
"Calm down pup.. Your girlfriend be arriving tomorrow.. We know you are excited to meet her but please, control yourself, will ya?"
Sirius asked with his eyes twinkling..
"Shut up Siri! She is not my girlfriend" Harry said tossing s pillow at Sirius who narrowly missed it and went out of Harry's room, closing the door behind him and leaving Harry to his thoughts about a certain beautiful bushy-haired bookworm...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY!
A huge banner was hung on the wall of Potter Manor.. Some guests had come to celebrate his birthday.. This included Neville, Luna lovegood, whom Harry considered as a sister he never had..
Fred and George, Dumbledore, Hagrid and much to his displeasure the the rest of the Weasley clan whom had come uninvited... But, the person Harry had been waiting to meet for the last two weeks had not yet arrived and he was starting to get worried, he was beginning to think that she had forgotten his birthday... He was also getting annoyed by Ginny's constant flirting...
Suddenly, a bell rang and Dobby opened the door.. Faster than Harry could blink an eye, he was tackled by a ginger haired Missile, much to Harry's pleasure and Ginny's displeasure...
"Happy Birthday Harry!" Hermione squealed hugging Harry as tight as she could and planting a lingering kiss on his cheek.."I missed you a lot."
"I missed you a lot too Hermione.. I thought you would never come.." Harry said giving a hermione a kiss on her cheek much to the the displeasure of Molly, Ron and Ginny, who were all seething with anger on watching the interaction between the two teens..
"Seriously Harry, I wouldn't miss your Birthday for the world.. So, how is Athena, I never saw her after her birth ." Hermione asked
"OH, she is fine.. She is now fully matured and can transport people through her "flame travel", as I would like to call it.. Actually, she has been dreading to meet you too... Wait a second.."Harry said breaking away from the hug..
"ATHENA" Harry called loudly..
Suddenly, the entire room was engulfed in a golden ball of fire and a beautiful red phoenix appeared in the room and perched herself on Harry's shoulder..
You called me Harry? Athena asked
"Yeah! Hermione wanted to meet you" Harry said to his phoenix..
Athena went and perched herself on Hermione's shoulder and nuzzled her neck, humming a sweet tone...
"She likes you... Told you so.." Harry told the surprised Hermione who smiled at him return.. At the same time, Hedwig flew into the room and perched herself on Harry's shoulder and bit his ear softly...
"Ow girl! What did you do that for?" Harry asked rubbing his ear..
"Looks like someone is jealous" Hermione said with a smug expression..
"Jealous? Why?" Harry asked confused..
""OH Harry, you are so dumb when it comes to girls." Hermione said pinching his cheeks..
"Yeah! Can you tell me something which I don't know? Like, why Hedwig is angry with me now?" Harry asked sarcastically.
"Really Harry? Don't you get it, Hedwig thinks that you are giving more importance to Athena than her.. She thinks that one day you are going to replace her with Athena.." Hermione replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world..
"Is it girl?" Harry asked Hedwig who hooted in agreement.. "OH girl! Look at me, I will never replace you. You are my most favourite bird, my first friend and loyal friend , after Hermione... So don't ever think that I am going to replace you... Because, believe it not, you are stuck with me for the of your life girl." Hedwig hooted happily and nibbled affectionately on Harry's uninjured ear... "But don't expect me tell that you are my most favorite girl, because someone has already occupied that position" Harry said with a chuckle,wrapping his hands around Hermione's waist and pulling her closer to him, making Hermione blush and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear..
Everyone in the room (Except the three Weasleys) looked affectionately at the conversation between Harry and his three girls.. Everyone was surprised by how much Harry cared about Hedwig... They all knew Harry loved Hedwig but today everyone realized that the love and affection Harry had for Hedwig was irreplaceable and understood that Harry will never be able to recover if anything bad had ever happened to her..
"Come on everyone, Let's cut the cake.." Molly Weasley's annoyingly stupid voice brought everyone back to reality...

Everyone had left to their respective places after the party... Harry was now sitting in his room waiting for Hermione... She had insisted that she would give her present to him after everyone had left.. So, here he was sitting in his room in his P.J's waiting for Hermione to show up.. After a few minutes, Hermione poked her head inside and asked, "Harry are you descent?"
"Yeah Mi, come in..."
Hermione came in holding a wrapped package in her hands and sitting so down on Harry's bed, handed it over to him, who took it with a big smile on his face...
Harry opened his present to reveal a simple and elegant golden locket which contained a picture of both of them sitting outside Hogwarts watching the sunset. Harry was overcome with happiness seeing the picture...
"Hermione, this is beautiful... From where did you get the picture?"
"OH! This photo was taken by Colin... He sent it to me a few days ago.. Do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it Hermione... It's the most beautiful gift I have ever seen. You are amazing Mi..."Harry said kissing Hermione on the forehead...
Hermione tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and was beaming with happiness at the fact that Harry had liked her gift. Suddenly, a thought struck her mind and she frowned instantly...
Noticing the change in Hermione's demeanor, Harry asked, "What's wrong Mione?"
"Harry did you see the way Ginny was looking at you.. It's obvious that she has a crush and I know you like her too." Hermione said
"What? What makes you think so?" Harry asked...
"Isn't it obvious Harry...? She looks just like your mom... She has red hair, she is popular in school, she is beautiful, almost all the boys are crushing on her and she also put, as quidditch...
Hermione went on talking about Ginny and why he possibly would Like her...

This is getting out of hand... I have to stop this before it goes any further and she gets the wrong idea... But, what can I do?
Kiss her you dolt...
What? ARE you sure?
Yes I am sure. Do it fast or else she will think that you are utterly in love with piggy Weasley...well, she already does...

Noticing that Hermione was still rambling Harry put a finger under Hermione's chin, raised it up so that they were staring into each other's eyes and moved closer to her lips...
"Shut up Hermione." Harry said and kissed her fully on the lips...
Though momentarily surprised, Hermione started kissing back... This was the first kiss between Harry Potter and Hermione Granger... It was slow and soft but still passionate...It was like a fairy tale for Hermione, here she was sitting in Harry's room and doing something which she thought was impossible. She was kissing her long time crush Harry James Potter, who is the most famous wizard... She knew that he could have any girl he wanted but here is kissing the plain Hermione granger...They both broke up from the kiss after 2 minutes breathing heavily and smiled goofily at each other...
"Hermione, I know Ginny has a crush on me.. You know, she even dosed my desert with love potion today... But, Hermione I don't love her, she is just a fan girl who is obsessed with the great
'Boy-Who-lived', but I am not him... I am Harry, just Harry, the sorting of James and Lily Potter, the Harry Potter who is a mischievous and adventurous boy who jumps head-first into danger without thinking and the Harry Potter who never completes his homework on time... I am juat Harry, whom you tell always have a 'saving-people' thing... I am me, a scrawny little boy with messy hair and a big round glass, who can only be controlled by his best friend Hermione Granger... I am not the 'Boy-Who-lived' Hermione, I am just Harry and only you see me for who I truly am... And that's why Hermione Granger, I like you.. It will be only you 'Always and forever'... So, Hermione Granger, will you be my girlfriend?" Harry finally asked Hermione gathering his Gryffindor courage...
"YES!" Hermione squealed throwing her arms around Harry and pulling him into a bone crushing hug..
Harry laughed at Hermione's enthusiasm and pulled away from the hug...He looked deep into her chocolate brown eyes and leaned in closer... Hermione closed her eyes and waited... Harry finally brought his lips closer and kissed her thoroughly on her lips to which she eagerly responded.. This kiss was more hard and passionate than the first one..Harry brought his tongue out and licked her bottom lip, asking for permission, which she granted him instantly by opening her mouth... Both of them fought for dominance... Harry bit on Hermione's bottom lip making her moan in pleasure... Hermione parted from the kiss only to move towards his jaw and began kissing him... She planted small kisses on his neck making him moan with pleasure, Hermione smirked at his reaction... Tired of waiting, Harry pulled her to his lips once more and started kissing her again... He laid her back on his bed and kissed her more passionately... He parted from her lips and began trailing small kisses along her jaw line and her neck...They both separated after some time and were now breathing heavily...
"Wow..." Harry said..
"Yeah! Wow!" Hermione said pecking him on his lips for one last time before they both snuggled closer to each other and fell asleep...

Unknown to the two lovers, two marauders were listening on on their conversation using their specially designed extendable ears...
"OK Moony, I win, Pay up, Now!" Sirius said jumping up and down like a 5 year old kid when he realised that his Godson had finally plucked up the courage and proposed to his long time crush..
"Alright Siri, stop bouncing" Remus said chuckling and handed over the money to Sirius... Remus was beaming with happiness at the fact that his two favourite students had finally gotten together...
