If Aizawa expelled…

Chapter seven: Vanishing Voltage

The audience that was summoned by the Realmcrafter Talespinner69 had just finished watching the latest in a set of twenty realms that each feature Aizawa expelling a different one of the students in his homeroom class. The students of 1-A were all surprised with the varying consequences that result depending on which one of them ends up getting the axe, although the underground hero was more surprised than most of them.

"Wow Tenya, you had a rough go, huh?" Kaminari said in a sympathetic tone as he patted Tenya on the back; realm number six featured Tenya being expelled by Aizawa.

As Tenya nodded in thanks for the sympathy, Todoroki and Endeavor both got his attention. "That being said, young man," Endeavor began in a stern, knowing tone, "I believe that Shoto and I can rest assured that you'd never for real do to Fuyumi what you did to her in that realm?" Todoroki nodded along in agreement with Endeavor, perhaps one of the very few times in which his and his father's interests aligned.

"If he did to Samidare for real what he did to him in that realm kero," Tsuyu remarked, "I would make sure that his body would never be found."

Tenya paled under the pressure that he was getting from so many persons in the audience, but Tale and Kotaro were able to bring everyone in line. "Well given what we know," Kotaro said, "I assume we can avoid trouble like this in the future?"

"Yeah, no kidding," Aizawa remarked, "I already know better than to act as I've been shown acting in many of the realms that we've been shown thus far. I would especially never expel any of the students in my class based on either very flimsy evidence, nor would I use a surface-skimming summary of a situation." The underground hero leaned back in his seat in the theater room. "I would always do a through job of looking into matters."

Tale nodded in understanding to Aizawa. "Indeed. But more on that later, because we got the next realm up and ready to play."

"Come on, let's see a good one!" Mina said as she and everyone else turned to face the big theater screen as realm number seven of twenty was beginning to play.

...

(If Aizawa expelled Denki Kaminari)

"Damn it!" Mirko in the audience remarked as she snapped her fingers, "I was banking on one of the girls getting shown instead of another boy!"

"Maybe...there's a reason for that, Mirko," Ryukyu offered, a bit unsure what to make of her fellow pro hero's annoyance.

Aizawa stood in front of his twenty students in class 1-A. ...Well, nineteen actually, since Kaminari was nowhere to be seen. "As you brats are all aware," Aizawa began, "I had to expel your former classmate Kaminari over the incident that he had caused."

"Which of course leaves a vacancy," Kyoka remarked, looking and sounding very bitter over her teacher's choice of expelling Kaminari.

Aizawa arched a wry brow at the air that Kyoka was giving off, but he brushed it aside. "In any case, we're filling the vacancy today." Turning to face the door to the classroom, Aizawa called out, "You can come in now!"

All eyes turned to see the door open, and in walked their new classmate. The new person walked to stand at the front of the classroom, and casually waved a hand in greeting. Many in class 1-A were surprised to see who their new classmate was.

Mei Hatsume.

"Wait, so it's not me this time?" Shinso in the audience asked, looking more surprised than anything, although Mei on the other hand was pretty amused to see herself added to one of the most infamous classes at UA.

Where he sat in the audience, Aizawa folded his arms over his chest, a stern look of suspicion on his face. "...Something is wrong here, I can just feel it."

Raising a hand, Tenya asked in a mildly confused tone, "Uhh, sir? Although I do not object to the decision to add Hatsume to our class, why was she even picked in the first place? Also, will this placement affect her studies in the support course?"

"Wouldn't that brainwasher guy that IcyHot thinks is your lovechild be a better fit," Bakugo remarked casually as he raised a hand, "Especially since you yourself had personality trained him to get into the hero course?"

"I have every reason to firmly believe that Shinso is the lovechild of Aizawa-sensei and that Ms. Joke lady from Ketsubutsu," Todoroki remarked.

Where he sat in the audience, Izuku gently face palmed. "...Even in other realms, Todoroki has a tendency to think that his schoolmates are the lovechildren of various pro heroes..."

Holding a hand to his chin as he wore a contemplative look on his face, Todoroki said, "Aizawa-sensei and Ms. Joke, huh? Yeah, I can see them being Shinso's parents. The me in this currently playing realm has a good eye."

"And now Todoroki is getting ideas from these realms for more of his crazy theories!" Izuku said as he threw his hands into the air in a gesture of defeat.

"Aizawa-sensei and Ms. Joke aren't my parents," Shinso remarked dryly.

With an amused look on her face, Emi replied, "We could be."

"Not now, Emi," Aizawa scolded, getting rather annoyed at how things were going.

Sighing in a troubled tone, Aizawa said, "That...would have been nice, yes. But it brings us back to the incident that I expelled Kaminari over." Facing all of his students, the underground hero said with a heartbroken look on his face, "I...don't think that I need to remind all of you what all occurred in said incident, but I think it'd be safe for me to say a lot of you would be able to see why Shinso couldn't be moved into the hero course."

"At least he's still alive," Koda offered, clearly sounding like he was trying to be helpful.

Pointing to Koda in a gesture to make him stop, Aizawa said firmly, "If you can refer to Shinso needing a wheelchair to get around for the rest of his life as him 'living'. And Shinso isn't the only one who was hurt in that incident, given that there's eleven other victims suffering from various injuries that all were caused by Kaminari not being careful."

"Wait, so I'm wheelchair bound in this realm now?" Shinso in the audience exclaimed.

"What is this incident that I supposedly caused that resulted in a total of twelve persons all getting varying injuries?" Kaminari asked, looking worried about what his alternative realm self might have pulled off here.

"I...hope we don't find out," Aizawa remarked, having a dreading feeling that he's not going to like whatever the answer ends up being.

Gesturing to Aizawa, Kyoka said, "So this is it? We're just going to fill the empty spot with Hatsume like a parent secretly replacing their child's dead pet goldfish with a live one while the kid is at school and go on like nothing happened?"

The underground hero arched a wry eyebrow at Kyoka. "...I'm surprised that you're as vocal as you are about Kaminari's expulsion, Jiro."

"That's because you didn't get the full story before you acted," Kyoka said firmly, "You wouldn't even hear Kaminari's side and investigate what all he had to say! He did say that he was pushed, so why wasn't that investigated? Hell, there are security cameras set up in the area that he was pushed from, so we could very easily check to see if what he said was true!"

"I didn't get the full story here," Aizawa in the audience said dryly, "Of course I didn't."

"I'm also willing to bet your decision making in this realm was partly influenced by grief over the raw deal that Shinso was given," Tale remarked from where he and Kotaro stood in front of the big theater screen, "I mean, those of my kind and I know full well that you aren't Shinso's father, but I've seen many realms where the two of you are depicted having a father-son relationship."

Aizawa, as well as Shinso to an extent, went wide-eyed with surprise. "...Seriously?" Aizawa asked.

Shrugging, Tale said, "I even saw one where you were raising Shinso and Eri as your kids." With a look of mild confusion on his face, the Realmcrafter added, "...With Hizashi as your spouse for some odd reason or another."

"WHAT?!" Emi bellowed, "Shouta was shown having someone who is not me as his spouse?! What manner of sorcery be that?!" As for Hizashi, he looked mildly intrigued by the idea of him and Aizawa apparently being a couple.

Pointing dramatically at Kyoka, Aizawa said, "That's enough out of you, Jiro." Aizawa then got things straightened up before fitting Hatsume into class. After that, things proceeded as they normally would, all things considered.

...

Later that day after classes were done, Hatsume was walking around the main school building for UA when she was pulled to the side. She settled down when she saw that it was Kyoka who had pulled her off to the side to seemingly have a private talk with her. "...There anything that I can do for you, Kyoka?" Hatsume asked.

Nodding a few times in the affirmative, Kyoka said, "I need your help getting into the security system so I can find footage from the incident where Kaminari was pushed and caused that accident that resulted in the varying severe injuries of a dozen people here at UA."

Nodding in understanding, Hatsume said, "Yes, I see. You want to do what Aizawa-sensei is too lazy and caught up in grief over what happened to Shinso to do."

"And you have the nerve to bust my chops whenever I worry over Young Midoriya," Toshinori in the audience said to Aizawa over from where he sat, a hint of knowing bemusement in the face of the former Symbol of Peace.

Sighing in a resigned tone, Aizawa said, "...I hope this won't come back to bite me in the ass too hard..."

"What you're asking for here is extremely risky, you know," Hatsume said, "Are you sure that you're ready and prepared to take such a risk?"

Nodding firmly once in confirmation, Kyoka said, "Yes, I am. I took a bigger risk than this when I asked Kaminari to be my boyfriend after I was finally able to work up the courage to confess to him that I'm in love with him."

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Kyoka in the audience exclaimed, "I'm being depicted as being in love with Kaminari and asking him to be my boyfriend?!"

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Yaoyorozu remarked, "Personally Kyoka, I think that this realm has a very good point. You and Kaminari would make for an excellent couple if you ask me for my opinion."

Shrugging, Bakugo remarked, "I still think that Deku and Round Face would make for a perfect couple together." Izuku, as well as Uraraka, both looked rather surprised with what they had just heard from Bakugo of all people.

Nodding in understanding, Hatsume gestured for Kyoka to follow her. "I know just the person who can help us get access to the footage that we're going to be looking for," Hatsume said as she led Kyoka off to find who they were looking for.

...

Kyoka was a bit on the surprised side that Hatsume took them to see, of all people, Tamaki of the big three. Pointing to her and Hatsume's sempai, Kyoka asked, "With all due respect, how can Tamaki-sempai help us get to that footage?" Kyoka asked.

"Ah, so you're the girl that Hatsume texted me about," Tamaki remarked, getting Kyoka to face him, "Yeah, it just so happens that I have an in with the person standing between us and the security room where we can find the footage that you're looking for." Kyoka and Hatsume then followed Tamaki as his gesturing for them to follow.

"What the hell am I up to in this alternate realm?" Tamaki in the audience said as he gestured to the big screen.

Folding her arms over her chest, Nejire said, "More importantly, who is this person that you supposedly have an in with who can get you, Kyoka and Hatsume into the room to find footage to prove Kaminari's innocence?"

Sighing in a resigned tone, Aizawa said, "I hope that the girls here aren't going to get into trouble because of how they're very obviously breaking numerous rules..."

Kyoka and Hatsume followed Tamaki into the security room, and inside sitting at a security monitor terminal was a third year UA girl who had a single green horn, slightly curving upwards, growing out of her head. When the girl turned around, Kyoka and Hatsume saw that she had pink hair, green eyes, somewhat pale skin with a huge blot of freckles over her face starting below her eyes, she wore big, thick horn rimmed glasses, and she was very notably fat; Kyoka estimated the third year girl to clock in somewhere in the two-hundred and forty kilo range.

"God damn!" Ibara in the audience exclaimed out of sheer surprise, "Talk about living large, am I right?" After a few brief moment of silence, Ibara looked around and saw all of the surprised looks that she was getting. "...What?"

"Oh, Tamaki-kun!" the geeky looking third year girl said in a pleasantly surprised tone as she turned in her chair to face him and the first year girls, got up (with a grunt of effort) from her chair, and practically waddled a few steps up to Tamaki. Looking to Kyoka and Hatsume first, the geeky looking third year girl asked Tamaki while pointing to the girls, "Who are they?"

"Kolulu, these are two first year girls that want to learn more about the security side of pro heroics," Tamaki explained, "They were hoping to get a hands on experience by letting you have a break so they can run things for a bit." Kyoka and Hatsume knew full well Tamaki was lying to the third year girl now identified as Kolulu, but the girl herself didn't know.

Giving the two first year girls a curious look, Kolulu said, "...I don't know..."

Tamaki rolled his eyes, a gesture that Kolulu didn't see. Putting on a flawless act, Tamaki said in a somewhat shy and bashful manner, "Actually, umm..." Having heard Tamaki speak up as he sounded like a bashful schoolboy trying to confess to his crush, Kolulu immediately turned her full attention back to him. "I...was hoping that you'd let...let the girls here take over for you for, oh, an hour or so, be...because I...I wanted to have you alone with me for that time." The fierce blushing on Tamaki's face was not exactly faked.

"Oh, Tamaki-sempai is playing the part of the pretty face distracting the guard in heist movies!" Mina in the audience exclaimed, "He's doing very well!"

"Uhhhhhhnnnnnnng," Tamaki moaned in embarrassment as he scrunched up into a fetal position in his theater seat. Similar to his alternative realm self on the big theater screen, the real Tamaki was rather embarrassed.

Like a charm, Kolulu fell for the act of Tamaki, who she very obviously had a huge crush on. "Oh Tamaki-kun, you really do love me, don't you?" Kolulu grabbed Tamaki by his left arm, held it in a hugging hold with her plump arms. "Come on, Tamaki-kun, I know a great place here on campus where we can be alone!" Before anyone could stop her, the fat third year girl took Tamaki off to be alone with him.

When the door to the security room closed behind the third years, Hatsume said, "Yeah Kyoka, Kolulu-sempai is a super geeky fat girl that has a major crush on Tamaki-sempai. He took one for the team by acting like he was returning her feelings so that we have the time to check the security feed to learn what exactly happened."

"He gave us an hour, so let's be quick," Kyoka remarked as she and Hatsume got right to work, looking for footage of Kaminari just before he ended up causing the incident that led to twelve UA students being injured and Kaminari himself being expelled.

It took the two girls a while, but eventually they found footage of Kaminari from the day of the incident; the footage showed Kaminari casual chilling out, then all of a sudden he stumbled in a manner that looked like he was pushed from behind before he fell over and fell a story or two. Some of his electricity flashed from off screen, which Kyoka took to be the incident.

"So they saw it from one angle," Aizawa in the audience said as he gestured to the big theater screen, "Now if they can get it from the right angle to see from behind."

Folding her arms over her chest, Kyoka said in a suspicious tone, "This better not lead to what I think it's going to lead to..."

"Oh, here's the same scene but from a different angle," Hatsume said as she pulled up another recording. This one showed the same bit with Kaminari but from behind; one moment he was just casually hanging around, and in the next moment a panicking Mineta came running on by, knocked into the electric quirk user and sending him falling down a few stories before he continued running away, landing and causing that flash of electricity. After the flashing faded, Kyoka and the rest of the 1-A girls all came running past, all or them clearly angry and clearly chasing Mineta.

"...So Mineta being a pervert towards us again," Yaoyorozu in the audience began, "Inspiring us to chase him so we can do bodily harm to him, caused Kaminari to be knocked off and fall a story or two, landing and causing a burst of electricity that injured a dozen students." Folding her arms over her chest, Yaoyorozu said in an unamused tone, "Wow."

A number of female eyes all turned to face where Mineta sat in the audience and throw stuff at him, making him cry out in pain. As for Aizawa, he signed in a resigned tone. "...I really hope that Jiro and Hatsume can make things right in the end."

The two girls gathered what video evidence they were wanting to grab for their argument, then took copies with them. They needed to present what they found to Nezu, so that they can prove that Kaminari had been made to act rather than willingly electrocute the UA students.

...

In Nezu's office, Kyoka and Hatsume presented what they gathered to Nezu and some of the men. "...Hmm, so Mr. Mineta made Mr. Kaminari act in a way that he wouldn't have acted in on his own, meaning Kaminari electrocuting those twelve students, as well as inflicting various injuries, never would have happened if it weren't for Mineta," Nezu said.

Gesturing to the girls that were present, Nemuri said, "Well how about how the girls present here snuck into the security room and gathered copies of security recordings? Or how all of Aizawa's girls are the real guilty party since Mineta never would have knocked into Kaminari if it weren't for the girls chasing him?"

"Mineta was, once again, being a perverted little troll to us, Nemuri-sensei," Kyoka pointed out, "What, are we supposed to allow him to perv on us?!"

"No," Aizawa in the audience stated firmly, "The girls are by no means obligated to allow for anyone to act like a creep towards them."

Shrugging, Nemuri remarked, "You could have just reported him."

Rolling her eyes, Kyoka said with a hint of sarcasm in her tone, "Oh sure. Like doing that would have worked this time."

Coughing forcefully, Nezu said, "In any case, this new evidence brought to light changes things considerably. We'll look into re-enrolling Kaminari as he wasn't truly guilty. You know, you girls took a big risk to do what you felt was right, and as a result you saved someone from having to suffer from unwarranted accusations. Pretty heroic if I do say so myself."

"Indeed," Toshinori agreed as he nodded once, "I dare say that Young Kaminari owes the two of you a debt of gratitude."

After the meeting concluded, Kyoka and Hatsume were met up by Aizawa. "...The next time you two pull off a stunt like your little investigation today, at the very least inform a UA staff member first, alright?"

"The next time that you want to expel a student, do a proper job at investigating the reason why you want to expel a student and make sure that you have all the facts before you make the decision," Kyoka retorted, "Alright?" Hatsume nodded in agreement with Kyoka, showing that she thought that she had a point.

The underground hero, knowing he screwed up big time in expelling the innocent Kaminari, held his hands up in a gesture of conceding as he replied, "Fair enough." At the very least, the girls succeed in proving that Kaminari was innocent, and that he's going to be re-enrolled, so they were happy to take the win and be done with it.

FIN

"Another case where everything could have been avoided if a proper job of investigating the whole event was done," Aizawa remark as he gestured to the big screen when the latest realm had just finished.

Turning to look at Kyoka and Hatsume, Kaminari said, "Thanks for the save, girls."

Kyoka, despite herself, smiled back warmly. "...Yeah, no prob." Hatsume nodded along to show that she also accepted the props for the save.

Down in front of the big screen, Kotaro said to Tale, "Well that was a nice show."

"Maybe there will be more," Tale replied, "After all, we still have a bit more than half of the slated realms left to view. Who's to say there won't be more nice moments?"

END OF CHAPTER

Author's notes;

Well, there's the first one where someone other than Shinso takes the place of the student from class 1-A that Aizawa gives the axe to; let me know what you think, and if you're interested in seeing another one where someone other than Shinso gets into 1-A, I'd be glad to consider any suggestions in the comments. Well anyway, the next one's going to be a bit dark in a way.
