Claire made it to the control room. She had been trying to call Owen but he wasn't answering. She couldn't help but think the worse. She shook her head. She couldn't think about that. She had to believe he was ok. That was the only way she would be able to walk into the control room and do her job. She got out of her car and walked into the building then the elevator. She pushed the button for the control room and cried until she got up there. She pulled herself together as the elevator door beeped as it opened. She walked out of the elevator and stopped when she saw everyone looking at her. She knew she had to remain calm and couldn't freak out in front of everyone. "Everyone remain calm" Claire said as calmly as she could. She took a deep breath. She looked at the screen and saw where the indominus was. Claire walked over to where Lowery and Vivian were sitting. "The implant will shock it if it gets too close to a perimeter fence" Claire said.
"Ok. It's moving really fast" Lowery said. "This is control. Put out a park-wide alert" Vivian said into the phone. "Hang up that damn phone, please" Masrani said. "Sorry, I'm getting new information. Everything's fine" Vivian said into the phone once again. "Let asset containment capture it quietly. The very existence of this park is predicated on our ability to handle incidents like this. It was an eventuality, ok" Masrani said. "You should put that in the brochure. Eventually, one of these things will eat somebody" Lowery said. "That paddock is four miles from the closest attraction. ACU can handle this. No one else is gonna get" Claire started to say. "Eaten" Lowery said sarcastically. Claire walked away and tried to call Owen again. Once again there was no answer. Claire hoped Owen was ok. ACU got ready to go after the indominus rex. "To all units. This is a non-lethal operation. Understood" a man said into the radio. The men turned on their electric sticks and went out to find the indominus.
Over at the raptor cage one of them roared. Barry walked over and calmed it down. "How fast can they run" Hoskins walked up to Barry and asked. Barry looked up at him. "Forty, fifty when they're hungry" Barry answered. "Ooh! You ever open them up, see what they can do" Hoskins asked. "No" Barry answered again. There was a loud thud as the raptor banged against the cage it was in. Hoskins jumped back. "Oh, shit" Hoskins said laughing. "That got me. It got me" he said. Barry laughed. "What do you think? Want to take one home" Barry asked walking away. "Hey, don't joke. When I was your age, I rescued a wolf pup" Hoskins said as the raptor growled at him. "It was, like, two months old. It could barely walk. It used to sleep in my bed. Watch over me. My wife, she came at me with a steak knife. It took a chunk out of her arm" he said walking up to Barry who was taking care of one of the other raptors.
"Did you put him down" Barry asked. "Hell, no. We had an unshakable bond, you know? Just like you and… What's his name" Hoskins asked pointing at one of the raptors. Barry looked up at him. "Delta. She's a girl by the way" Barry said. Hoskins nodded his head. "Can I just" Hoskins asked holding out his hand and pretending to stroke the raptor. Barry moved back and smiled at him. Hoskins slowly put his hand on Delta. When his hand touched Delta she growled. Barry walked back up to Delta and rubbed his hands soothingly on her. He shushed her. Hoskins pet Delta. "Oh, wow" Hoskins said smiling. Just then Barry's phone beeped. Barry turned around. "Code 19" he yelled. "That's the new one" a man yelled back. "They said we lost two guys" Barry yelled again. "What's a code 19" Hoskins asked. "That's Indominus" one of the men said to another worker. Barry turned around and looked at Hoskins. "Asset out of containment. These people they never learn" he said walking away.
"They're gonna learn all kinds of things about their new asset now" Hoskins said. He dialed a number in to his phone and put it to his ear. "Hey. Yeah, it's me. We might have an opportunity here" Hoskins said into the phone.
