Chapter 8: Slumber Party Panic
Uraraka stepped out of her bathroom, chocolate brown hair wrapped in a fluffy cream towel, her body donned the same. She sat at the white vanity that served as her desk, and swept aside anything dealing with school. It was Friday night, and she was about to have the time of her life.
The respective time of her life was a slumber party. As childish as it sounded, Uraraka and her classmates were very excited, it wasn't often they got to have moments like this. So the snapchats of Sero and Denki fooling around while picking up snacks, the incoming call from Tokoyami asking if he should pick up a horror or a thriller to watch until midnight, and the secret texts from Bakugo that detailed them staying by each other's side the entire night had Uraraka giddy as ever.
She quickly ran through her skincare routine, it was 9:45 and everyone was going to meet in the common area at 10. Humming along to to her 'FriYay' playlist, Uraraka swiped on a quick face mask and some moisturizer, how else could she possible keep those cheeks soft and plump as ever? A layer of her favorite vanilla scented lotion was slapped onto her naked body, then she followed up with some undergarments. She briefly contemplated putting on a matching set in case her night went in her favor, but then got so embarrassed by her own mind that she threw on a basic pair of baby blue panties, a lavender cropped cami, and matching pajama shorts. She smiled in her vanity mirror and took her hair down from her towel, letting her damp hair fall to her shoulders. Over the years, she still kept her hair short, finding it was easy to manage and posed less of a threat during her hero work, but she let it grow out long enough to style it any way she wanted outside of school. Drying her hair, she put it into two messy little space buns on top of her head and let her bangs do their job and frame her face.
Confident with her appearance, she grabbed her extra plush blanket from her bed and slipped on her white bunny slippers, doing a little excited dance as she went around her room. Over and over, she told herself how fun her night was going to be, but stopped when her hand gripped the cold doorknob of her bedroom door.
Second thoughts came racing in, telling her to just get back in bed.
What are you doing? Everyone will know. How can you even face him? What do you say?
Kirishima still hasn't forgotten what your butt looks like.
Bakugo isn't excited to see you, he's only going to be nice.
Tsu gave you a pep talk because you were such a mess.
Everyone will know.
Everyone will know.
EVERYONE WILL KNOW.
A knock at the door snapped Uraraka back to reality so hard she barely recognized who was at the door. Mina smiled bright at her, wearing a black cut off t-shirt and the shortest shorts humanly possible paired with black fuzzy slippers and a few gold anklets around both ankles.
"Everything okay girly? We're all waiting on you." Mina's face dropped slightly, causing Uraraka to wave her hands in protest.
"Yes! Yeah, I'm fine, almost forgot my blanket." She gave a little laugh, and yelped when Mina yanked her by the arm.
"Well come on! We've got a lot planned for tonight." Mina gave a sly wink back to Uraraka as she dragged her down the hall, and Uraraka grew nervous again, remembering the real reason the pink girl organized this night.
Truth or Dare.
Bakugo sat in the common area with Kirishima, Denki, and Sero, listening to his idiot friends go on about something he clearly didn't care about. All he could think about was earlier in the day, the locker room, the movie, the kiss.
The kiss.
It had been stuck on his mind since he watched Uraraka leave his room crying. He reminded himself to apologize for how he handled being caught, then continued his previous thoughts. He was shocked she kissed him first, but was far from disappointed. He told himself beforehand that if he ever got to kiss her, he would be okay. He could settle for that. But when she climbed on top of him? Over. Everything he planned went straight out the window and all he wanted to do was act. That's what he was good at doing, and frnkly, that's all he knew how to do. Bakugo briefly thought back to his earlier conversation with Kirishima, and realized that if his friend never burst in, he really might have messed up one of the only things that made him happy. Unfortunately, Bakugo knew he could be impulsive, but he never bothered to do anything about it. He knew his reactions were the average person's overreactions, and if he didn't give a fuck about how anyone perceived him, he might have actually been as mild-mannered as someone like Kirishima.
But Uraraka wouldn't have ever given him a chance. Well, she might have, if she lost enough braincells to be head-over-heels for Deku, it's possible that she may have conformed to the needs and actions of an average man. But Bakugo wasn't average, and it would've been a slap in the face if that's what she saw in him, because his whole life was dedicated to being the best. In a weird sense of self-praise, he was impressed with Uraraka's choice to take him on as a potential partner, because it meant if someone like her could want to kiss him, he was clearly winning at life.
But now he was unsure of how to actually solidify what they had going on. He was unsure what to call it, because he never even realized they were comfortable around each other until today. He didn't know why he texted her before heading to the common area, sending little quips to initiate banter, coming to the agreement they were to be by each other all night. It was weird to him.
Bakugo didn't flirt. He wasn't adorable, and he didn't think of himself as smooth or charismatic. But he knew that because he was the best, anything he wasn't he suddenly was, and because of his perfecionist ways, he was good at everything he attempted. But something about Uraraka knocked him off his game from time to time.
Other girls he would flirt with didn't require him to try hard, so he actually let himself be average, because those were girls he didn't care about. They were just extras in his school, annoyances in his way that could have hindered him from getting to the top if he gave them the time of day. But Uraraka, man, she required a plan, and back up. This was new.
So it was a little unnerving she would be at this shitty slumber party. His thoughts switched immediately to think of situations he may fall short in tonight.
Movie time.
The kid with a bird head suggested movies before midnight in the class groupchat to throw off Aizawa from their plans, and everyone agreed, giving the weirdo praise. Bakugo scoffed internally, he could've given a shittier idea that would have worked twice as good. But he didn't, and it made him a little mad (jealous) when Uraraka responded to his text with 6 too many emojis for his liking. There times earlier in the semester he caught her staring at the bird head, and it made him wonder if she had any interest.
Tokoyami was now competition.
The additional problem with the fake movie night was seating. He had made sure to ask her to sit next to him first through text, but he knew Uraraka well enough to know she could be a ditz. Not at her own fault, he reminded himself, she's 17, and a girl, her mind is everywhere. One of her dumb friends could have asked her to sit next them like a bunch of pussies, and she would fall for it. Then, his whole night would be ruined. He hated cuddling up next to Kirishima, the guy was a fucking human rock for fuck's sake. So he asked said rock to sprinkle the idea of pairing up in the boy's groupchat, to which the redhead responded "You got it, bro!" and got to work. Less than a minute later, the boys aside from shitty Deku and even shittier Mineta had made up their minds. Problem solved.
Next, was the fact Deku was even there. He knew Uraraka finally came to her senses and had no feelings for him, but Bakugo still didn't trust his childhood friend around her. The guy was too nice, too friendly, too sweet. Everyone knew Deku had girls lined up, the idiots ate that 'boy-next-door' shit up, and of course he was oblivious to it, making him 100 times more attractive. He wouldn't go too in depth with his plans if Deku got too close, but it wouldn't be pretty.
Truth or Dare.
This was not something new to Bakugo. He had played before, with his self-titled squad of friends, but never with a group as large as 3A. There was too much truth to work with, and too many dares to implement. He bet with Denki and Sero beforehand 1000 yen that someone would end crying that night.
His biggest issue with the game was the probability of Uraraka getting dared to be physically intimate with someone else. He would stop the game right then and there, but then everyone would hate him.
So? He asked himself. Uraraka would hate you too, he replied to himself. Valid point. So he wouldn't stop the game, but he could kick anyone's ass who dared to touch her?
Still would hate you.
Right. He could take the dare himself?
Now you're just being a dumbass. Everyone would know.
Okay, okay. He settled for having to suck it up and deal with it, if it came to that. He knew how much Uraraka valued superficial teenage bullshit, so for her sake he wouldn't ruin it. But he would get Kirishima to step in before anything got to too weird. Now, he just had one last issue to deal with.
What if she's on her period?
Uraraka was grateful she wasn't on her period. She didn't even know it was possible for Bakugo to be ten times hotter than he already was in loungewear, but she wanted to hop all over that. She told herself to calm down, and shook her head to ease her nerves as she stepped further into the common room. Her class was gathered around, standing around picking at snacks in the kitchen, lounging around on the couches, and excitedly socializing as music played faintly in the background. She was on her way to greet Bakugo and Kirishima, but was stopped by Deku and Iida.
"Uraraka! Thought you weren't gonna make it for a sec," Deku laughed nervously. She smiled and laughed, praying Bakugo wasn't looking her way, even though she could feel his death stare.
"Just had to get ready, haha. Tonight's gonna be so much fun." She looked around at her classmates.
Deku cleared his throat a little, giving her a soft smile. "Yeah, tonight is gonna be fun." He said softly. The tone switched, and Uraraka picked it up with confusion.
Hold on...
"Of course it is! We'll all be responsible young adults, and you'll get over your blunder Midoriya!" Iida chimed in loudly. Uraraka looked at him in confusion.
"Blunder...?" She asked. Iida nodded vigorously.
"It seems our very own Mei Hatsume has broken up with Midoriya for the time being." Iida said a bit too loudly for Deku's liking.
"W-we didn't b-break up! We're just taking a break to figure some things out." Deku sputtered his words out, turning bright red in the process.
So they broke up. Well wasn't this great timing. Uraraka turned to find red eyes in her face.
"Kitchen. Now."
It wasn't that Bakugo was jealous per say. It was just Uraraka, his current interest, was talking a bit too much to Deku, his current rival. He felt like he was being prematurely cheated on. Sensing his familiar wave of rage, any and everyone that wasn't Ochako Uraraka got the hell up out of the kitchen, leaving the two alone. Uraraka headed to the fridge and opened the freezer, grabbing a strawberry mochi.
"What the hell was that?" Bakugo crossed his arms. To Uraraka, he looked like an angry housewife.
"You're kidding right? I was having a conversation." She took a bite of her mochi, wincing when the cold dessert hit her teeth.
"No shit, what the hell was that nerd saying?" Bakugo crossed the kitchen and grabbed the half-eaten mochi. Her nonchalant eating was making him furious.
"Like you care. C'mon, let's get back to the rest of the class." She reached for the mochi, surprised when he pulled it back.
"I don't care. But you're going to tell me." He ate the mochi, to his disgust, and her surprise.
"It was stupid," Uraraka pouted, reaching for the freezer to grab another piece. "Deku's girlfriend broke up with him."
Bakugo slammed the freezer shut, causing the entire class to look in their direction. "The freak mechanic?"
"Yes." Uraraka was unsure why this was such a big deal, Bakugo wasn't normally concerned with anything that had to deal with Deku.
"He'd better keep his shitty hands away from you."
Oh. Uraraka put the pieces together. A large hand clapped Bakugo on the shoulder, causing the blonde to whip his head around.
"Hey guys, movie's starting in a bit." Kirishima smiled a little too brightly for Uraraka. "Wouldn't want you guys to miss anything." The redhead gave a little nod, and walked back to where everyone was huddled around the TV.
"Like I said Cheeks," Bakugo leaned close to Uraraka's face. "You better pray that shitty Deku doesn't try anything tonight." He landed a quick kiss on her forehead and turned on his heel, joining Kirishima in the common area. Uraraka was stunned for a second, but collected herself and grabbed more mochi out of the freezer. She made her way into the common room, smiling when Tsu waved her over.
"Ochako! I saved you a seat next to me and Midoriya!" Tsu croaked out. Uraraka felt her face redden the same time she saw Deku's face do the same. It worsened when she heard Bakugo clear his throat very loudly.
"I already got her a seat and her blanket over here, Frog Face." Bakugo's words cut through the air, it was the only thing Uraraka could hear as she looked between her best friend and crush. The rest of the class seemed to react the same, confused by Bakugo's sudden intrusion. In order to feel less awkward, which was virtually impossible at this point, Uraraka bounded over to the couch Bakugo, Kirishima, and Sero sat on, squeezing between the blonde and the arm rest. Asui caught the vibe and returned her attention to the TV, the movie starting.
Of course it was another horror movie. It was actually a really bad one though, whatever Tokoyami picked out put nearly the entire class to sleep in the first five minutes. Towards the end of the movie however, Uraraka woke up with a heavy arm around her, one that belonged to a peacefully slumbering Bakugo. She watched him sleep for a few seconds and giggled to herself. Her small laugh woke him up however, and he blinked at her a few times before fully waking up. Noticing the rest of the class was fast asleep, Bakugo saw this as a slim chance. He tightened his grip around Uraraka, bringing her in for a few small kisses, which she accepted excitedly. Denki and Jirou stirred on the floor in front of them, causing the the two on the couch to awkwardly pause.
This went on a few times, sneaking little pecks at each other, stopping when they were sure someone was awake. Bakugo and Uraraka were sure no one had seen them, but unbeknownst to them, a pair of black and gold eyes had been watching the entire time.
Bakugo kicked his friends awake when the movie was over, prompting them to wake someone, who would wake someone else, until the entire class was awake. They got up, stretching and yawning, complaining about how terrible the movie had been. Momo alerted everyone it was shortly after twelve, and that Aizawa should be asleep enough for them to start truth or dare after a bathroom and snack break.
Uraraka decided to pee instead of rack up on sweets, and she headed to the girls bathroom located in the lobby of the dorm. When she reached the bathrooms, Deku walked out of the men's room and blushed. Uraraka gave a little wave and made a motion to head into the bathroom when a small "Wait." from Deku made her stop.
"I-i just wanted to say, you look, um, your pajamas, well, um.." Deku was tripping over his words, hands fumbling all over the place. "You look nice, Uraraka." He finally spat out after what felt like an eternity of stuttering.
The brunette flushed profusely. "O-oh! Thanks, Deku. They're just pajamas, nothing too um, exciting..?" Uraraka said quickly. She rushed into the girls' room before Deku could reply, running into a mop of curly pink hair. "Mina! Oh my gosh, I totally didn't see you there!"
"Don't worry about it Sweet Cheeks, we've got different business to handle." Mina puffed her cheeks out, allowing Uraraka to walk past so she could pee. Mina waited until Uraraka got settled and began peeing before she spoke again. "So you and Bakugo, huh? Can't say I'm not suprised."
Mina had to make sure Uraraka didn't float up to the ceiling with her ass out.
"W-what?! How did you-"
"Not everyone slept through that God-awful movie, now details, Chaks." The toilet flushed and Uraraka walked out of the stall, met with an impatient Mina. She made her way to the sink and began scrubbing her hands.
"It's uh, nothing really, I mean it's just Bakugo." Uraraka tried to avoid eye contact with Mina, who was boreing a hole in her reflection.
"So you won't mind then..." Mina whispered. She wasn't content with Uraraka's half-assed answer, but she also knew not to push buttons on her friend.
Uraraka whipped around. "What?" She asked nervously.
"Oh nothing," Mina smiled in response. "Now hurry up girly, we got a game to play!"
Something in Uraraka's stomach dropped as Mina dragged her out of the bathroom, she had a feeling her night was about to take a turn.
"Alright everyone!" Mina gathered everyone in the common area, couches and pillows moved for a large circle. She gestured for everyone to sit down, giving Uraraka a very unsubtle shove in Bakugo's direction. "Aizawa is absolutely knocked, and it's time we get this night started with what we really came for. Ladies, prep your tits, Chaks I see you're prepared with no bra," Uraraka blushed and covered herself, and Mina continued. "Fellas, this is the night you let every single nut hang, Mineta I will chop yours off though."
"Hot," Mineta snorted in response, earning hits from every girl in the room.
"Get ready to have your personal space, feelings, and opinons absolutely FUCKED,"
"Mina," Iida and Momo interjected.
"Because its time for truth or dare." Mina grinned, her smile making the class question her morality for a second. An evil glint flashed when she looked towards Uraraka, and the latter felt a chill run down her spine. The pink teen considered starting off slow, and she did for a minute, but sooner or later, Uraraka knew the inevitable was going to happen.
"Ochako! Truth or dare, sweets."
