Okay! Here's the new chapter. Hope you'll like it!

PERCY

All his Wednesdays were so packed that he could relax or chat with his friends only during the lunch time or during the break.

They all sat together. Percy, Jason, Piper, Leo, Calypso, Annabeth… and Reyna. Annabeth had brought Reyna with her to sit with them, and Piper and Calypso already knew her, it seemed.

He did his best to control himself and succeeded. Though Reyna was the topic of discussion for the whole lunch.

After the college, they all met in the parking lot. Piper had some work to do so she drove home. After getting her tongue massaged by Jason's for nearly a minute.

"You can hold your breath really long!" commented Reyna which caused both of them to blush and others to laugh.

"Oh Reyna" Annabeth added while she chuckled, "Wait till you see Leo and Calypso."

"No need to wait, baby" Leo started walking towards Calypso.

"Not today." Calypso edged backwards. "I have got shopping to do. And you have your practice."

"Oh! No!" Said Leo but Calypso's car drive out of the parking. Just then a horn honked and Reyna bid her goodbyes and walked out. Staring Percy in the eye before leaving. Dang! I love her!

"Oh shit!" Jason exclaimed. "I came with Piper today! And she's gone." He looked at Percy. Percy knew that look.

"Oh no!" Percy raised his hands in the air. He was still holding his duffle bag, but he had put his backpack in his car, "There's no way am I driving you home! You live 25 miles from here! And that too in the opposite direction!"

"Percy, please" Jason begged, "How will I go home? The chauffeurs must be out with mom and dad."

"Your dad should have thought about it before building your manor 20 miles outside the city." Percy said.

"I can take your car, you don't need to come" Jason offered.

"And I am supposed to walk to my house?" Percy said sarcastically.

"Uh" Jason looked at Annabeth then, Leo was long gone, looks like someone had learnt from their punishment, "You could go home with Annabeth" Jason said, "You two live close by, right?"

"I don't wanna bother her, man" Percy spoke, "And besides, there is no way am I lending you my car. You know I don't give my car to anyone but Chauffeur Maxwell and my dad."

"Annabeth" Jason now turned to her, "Will you lend me your car? Percy will drive you home. Our practice will also get over soon today" Annabeth was trying not to laugh, "Right Percy?"

"If she doesn't bother, then I am fine with it" Percy replied, looking at Annabeth.

"Ok" she said, "Then I will wait till your practice gets over" she pointed to her watch, "Speaking of which, you have five minutes to change and reach the court."

"Oh shit" Percy dashed out, "Meet us at the court, Annabeth" he called out to her. Being late was the last thing that he had wanted to happen.

ANNABETH

She walked to the court taking her own time. Paying the library a visit. She was already giddy with the thought that she was going to drive home with Percy!

By the time she reached the court, the practice was over and the boys had gone to the showers. The girls were practicing. She seated herself on a chair and switched on her phone.

"Hey Annabeth" Jason came a few minutes later. "I should really get going" he said, "I am lagging my assessment!"
"But that was to be submitted today, right?" She asked. She had submitted it today.

"It was," Jason scratched the back of his neck, "But I managed to get an extension somehow."

"And how was that?" Annabeth raised her eyebrow as she got her keys out of her pocket.

"Let us not get into the details" Jason blushed.

"Tell me!" Annabeth waved her keys in front of him. He reached for them, but she jerked them backwards.

"He's a great fan of my mom, so… I…uh" Jason hesitated, "I got him an autograph"

"I see" Annabeth smiled and gave him the keys, "You really know how to use an opportunity, don't you Jason?"

"That's my specialty," he smiled back, "Really got to go"

"Yeah sure," Annabeth said, "I won't hold you back." And he went.

Percy arrived nearly ten minutes later. "Took you long enough" she commented when he was with her. He wasn't carrying the duffel bag anymore, he must have kept the shoes in his locker.

"Yeah" He said, "I was just uh, busy with something."

"Oh" they walked in silence. Annabeth was having a feeling that Percy was trying to hide something. But what?

It was when he unlocked the car that she noticed a bandage on his left hand's middle finger.

"Percy" she said with worry, "What's this?" she pointed to the white crepe support on his finger

"Oh" Percy opened the door for her (with his right hand), being the gentleman that he was. "It's nothing"

"No" Annabeth said firmly, "It's something." she folded her hands and stood there, "I aint sitting in the car unless you tell me"

"Fine" Percy said, "I will tell you once you sit" he gestured towards the car seat, "Now will you?" she obliged.

"Tell me now" she demanded when they both were seated in the car.

"It's just a minor dislocation." He said, "Must have dislocated my inter-phalangeal joint or might be a soft-tissue injury."

"What?!" Annabeth exclaimed, "And you call it minor?" she felt a sudden gust of sadness inside her.

"Yeah" Percy said, "Happens to me every time" he laughed as he pushed the ignition button. Annabeth noticed that he winced with pain. "I must have dislocated all my fingers till now"

"Percy" Annabeth said softly, "I saw you wincing with pain when you pushed the ignition button" Percy had the manners to blush, "It's not nothing. It's something."

He didn't say anything. He just looked out of the car window. The sun was near the horizon now. There were only a few cars left in the parking area.

He tried to put his left hand on the steering wheel and winced once again. It wasn't something minor. "And I am not going to let you drive the car" she said, with soft, sweet sternness in her eyes. He looked into them once again. And she didn't break her contact. She looked right back into them.

"Annabeth-" he said but she cut him off.

"And we are going to a hospital" she said, "This isn't something minor, Percy" she touched his hand. He looks even hotter when he is in pain. His hand is so soft. He let her keep her hand on his.

"Annabeth" he said after beautiful moments of silence, "You know I don't let anybody drive my car."

"I am not anybody, Percy" she said, looking into those sea green eyes, "I am somebody." And they switched their seats.
