There was the softest knock at the door the next morning. Arizona opened the door and her favorite little toddler collided with her legs. 'Zona! I miss you.'

'I missed you too Stinker. Have you been a good girl for Mommy and Daddy?'

'Yeah Goober, you have been a good girl. Good morning Arizona. Is Cal ready to go?'

'Coming!' Callie called from the bedroom. 'Good morning guys. Ari, quit hogging that beautiful girl.' Arizona handed Maci off to Callie. Callie peppered her little face with kisses.

'Cowwie, stop. Too much sweetness. You give me a cabity.' The women busted out laughing at this.

'Who told you that little lady?' Callie asked.

'Mama said too much sweets are bad for my teef and I will get a cabity.'

'Your mama is right, but she was talking about candy. Not sweet sugar kisses, silly. You ready to go?' The little girl nods and they are off. Everyone is buckled into the SUV and the radio is playing a local pop station. Maci is bobbing her head to the music and the adults were catching up on what happened over the last month. Tyler was driving. The reunion was to be held at his parent's house and it seemed like EVERYONE was going to be there.

It took about an hour to arrive and already the yard was packed with cars. Callie was nervous all of a sudden. This was Arizona's entire family. Arizona sensed her nervousness and held back a little. 'It'll be ok Callie. They'll love you just like I do. And if they don't then that is their problem because you are very lovable.' She kissed her sweetly.

'Thanks. I'm still going to be nervous though. There are so many people here.'

Just then the front door busted open and an older woman who looked a lot like Arizona came out of the house. "MOM! I didn't know you were going to be here. What a wonderful surprise!' Arizona was engulfed in a hug by her mom. When they let go, the older Robbins turned to Callie.

'You must be Callie. Oh dear, it is so good to finally meet you. We had to make it out here as soon as we knew that you would be here.'

'It's nice to meet you Mrs. Robbins.' Callie held out her hand.

'Put that hand away dear and come here.' She was wrapped in a big motherly hug as well and her nerves were settled slightly. 'And call me Barbara.'

'Let's go see everyone else.' Arizona grabs Callie's hand and they make their way inside. There are people everywhere. Living room, kitchen, going upstairs, coming downstairs. Everywhere. Callie grips Arizona's hand tighter. 'One person at a time, Cal.' She is slowly introduced to cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and the one person Callie was most nervous about meeting, Arizona's dad. Colonel Daniel Robbins was out manning the grill along with Tyler's dad.

'Daddy, this is Callie, my girlfriend. Callie, this is my dad Daniel.'

'Hello, Colonel sir. It's a pleasure to meet you.' Callie said with as much confidence as she could.

'Well, hey there Callie. I've heard so much about you from Zoney here.' Callie was taken aback. She was not expecting such a warm welcome from such a decorated Marine.

'Hello again Steve. Good to see you again.' Steve nodded. The women moved on and soon found Tim.

'Timmy! You are here.' Arizona pulled her older brother into a tight hug.

'Hey there Battleship, is this your girl?'

'Yeah, Tim, I want you to officially meet Callie. Callie this is Tim.' Tim pulled Callie into a hug much like Arizona's mother did.

'Hey there. Good to finally meet you in person. Now, as I was saying before, what are your intentions with my little sister?' Tim plays.

'Timothy! Don't make me get Mom!' Arizona yells.

Just then Barbara walks up. 'Some things never change. Zoney, have you introduced your girl to Ian and Elena? They're playing pool in the other room.'

'They are next. Come on Cal. Tim, let her go!' Arizona drags Callie away from her crazy older brother and they make their way through the house. They burst through the door just as Ian is lining up to take his shot. The sudden opening of the door scares him and he missed his shot.

'Arizona! I was winning. Who do you have there?' He asked noticing the unfamiliar face.

'This, little brother, is my girlfriend Callie. Callie these two are the last of the Robbins siblings, Ian and Elena. It's good to see you guys again.' Arizona says.

'Hey.' 'Hi.' They both say. 'You play pool Callie?' Elena asks.

'Not well, but I've played a few times.'

'Let's play teams. Us versus you two.' Ian says.

Arizona is never one to turn down a challenge. 'Let's do it!'

Soon after, it was time to eat. There was a big spread to feed the almost forty people. Everything was delicious. Callie and Arizona were sitting with Daniel, Barbara, and Arizona's siblings. 'Callie, dear, Zoney said that you knew Amber from med school. Is that right?' Barbara asks.

Callie looks up from her plate. 'Uh, yes ma'am, we were roommates and became close. We have been best friends ever since.'

'Oh, how wonderful. She's sweet. Are you from Seattle?'

'I grew up in Miami. My parents still live there, and my sister too. I think.' Callie says.

'Are you close with your family?'

'I'm close with my mom.' Callie explains vaguely.

'What about your father and sister?'

'Mom, that's enough questioning.' Arizona chimes in, knowing that it is a sore subject with her girlfriend.

'It's ok, Arizona.' She turns back to Barbara and take a deep breath. 'My dad and sister do not agree with my lifestyle and have cut me out of their lives. That's the short version. I haven't spoken with them since I was in college. It's fine. I have my mom and my friends from the hospital.' Callie squeezed Arizona's hand. 'And Arizona for as long as she'll have me.' The women smiled at each other.

Callie and Arizona are enjoying themselves at the reunion. Callie fits in well with the Robbins crew. Arizona is catching up with Tim when Amber slips behind her friend. 'So… you surviving your first Robbins get together alright?'

'Yeah, they are all so nice.'

'Has Tyler's dad said anything to you? He was one of the ones who had a problem with Arizona when she came out.'

'He just nodded at me. You know what? He has never said a word to me, come to think of it. Is that why, do you think?'

'I don't know. I love my father in law, but he is definitely a man who believes in the Bible. It was one reason why I never revealed my past to the family. I was never ashamed of sleeping with women and we had a good time right?' Callie laughs and nods. 'I just did not want to open that can of worms. It wasn't worth it.'

'I understand, it's like my Dad. Just set in his ways…'

'Yup, so what do you think of all these Robbins?'

'They are all so welcoming. Tim and Barbara wrapped me in a hug and we played pool with Ian and Elena. Me and Ari kicked their ass. Mostly her, but I'm claiming credit.'

'As you should. It's been, what, almost three months now with Arizona?'

'Yeah, I wanted to take her out somewhere special to celebrate. Nothing too fancy, it's just three months, but something a little better than the deli or the diner.'

'That's a great idea. Keep the romance alive. Then take her home and take her on the breakfast bar.'

'Don't be crude.'

'Oh, like you have a filter. It's one of the reasons we are best friends. We don't have to watch what we say to the other.'

'Ok fine. We haven't broken in her breakfast bar yet.' Callie admits.

'You dirty girl.' Amber winks.

It was another couple of hours before the group decided to head back home. By the end of the day, Callie fit right in with the Robbins family like she had been a part of it her entire life. She played with the kids and joked with the adults. When it was time to leave, Barbara hugged her tightly and told her to keep in touch. Tim, Ian, and Elena hugged her as well. What surprised Callie the most was when the Colonel came up and wrapped her in a warm hug. 'You take care of my Zoney, do you hear me?' he said. Callie nodded. 'I will, sir. I promise.' He winked at her and they got into the SUV to head home. Maci was knocked out before they left the yard. It was an exciting day for the toddler.

They were dropped off at Arizona's and got into the elevator. Arizona slid her hand around Callie and under her shirt to feel her skin on her back. 'Thank you for coming with me today. My family really likes you.'

'I had a great time. I remembered a few people from the wedding, but did not have the chance to speak with them. Everyone was nice.'

The elevator door opened and the walked to the apartment door. Arizona unlocked the door and let Callie enter the apartment first. She shut the door and put her purse and keys down. She slowly stalked over to Callie who was placing her jacket over the arm of the couch. Arizona placed her hands on Callie's hips and slowly slid them up her sides.
