The next chapter is now posted! Enjoy :)
It wasn't the best idea. But it wasn't the worst either. When it all comes down to it, she didn't want to stick around and wait for the psychotic lizard boy to come back and finish what he started. Angel may have gotten stronger within her time in this universe while training with Goku and Vegeta. And they told her she will continue to get stronger. But this didn't mean she was any match for the crazy tyrant.
Now she can only hope the plan she came up with will work. Angel planned on busting down the door and make her way down to the docking area. She knew they had single pod ships down there. She also had an idea of where to go, thanks to the lady who delivered her food. Which she hardly touched because it looked and smelled like dog slop. The one who brought her the food seemed very sympathetic to her plight. And hinted to her where the pods were. Turns out they were just a deck below where she was.
Angel would have to move quick. Because something tells her that as soon as she busts open that door, people are going to be aware of what was happening. She can only hope the woman was right when she told Angel not many soldiers are frequently down here. She will have to haul ass all the way down, once she exits the cell. Angel also noticed the door wasn't that thick. Hopefully, that means whatever attack she uses will work.
She realizes the plan isn't all carefully thought out. But right now, she was scared shitless. All Angel could think of was putting as much distance between her and Frieza as possible. The guy was obviously very fucked up in the head, even more so in real life than on the show. There's no limit to what he can do to her. And what's worse, is that Goku and Vegeta have no clue where she is. Those pods are her only chance.
Once she got tired of pacing, Angel decided to go with the plan. She didn't have much time, especially when she wasn't sure when he'd be back. So she took a deep breath and turned to face the door. Angel closed her eyes and concentrated. She raised her hands up slightly from her sides. At first, nothing happened. She concentrated harder, until she felt a familiar heating feeling start at her arms and travel down to her hands. Orange colored ki started sparking and building up in her palms. When she felt it getting bigger and stronger; Angel opened her eyes and thrusted her palms out in front of her.
She shot a bright orange stream of ki at the door. There was resistance for a split second before it blow a hole clean through. Angel smiled in triumph and approached the door. When she went through the opening, her eyes widened. Angel tried to keep the blast fairly weak. But it looks like there was a little too much of a push and it created a hole that traveled through several layers of metal walls.
Wasting no more time gawking. Angel sprinted down the hall, until she got to the second passage on the left. It had stairs leading down to the floor that held the docking bay. Once she hit the bay, alarms started blaring.
"Shit!" She said, then spotted the single pods on the far right of the bay.
So she made a dash for them. Angel made it halfway, before a couple soldiers got in her way.
"Hey! Your not suppose to be down here! Where's your authorization!?" One of them shouted.
"Right here!" She said.
Before Angel executed a flying jump kick into his solar plexus, knocking him back. Then came around and slammed her fist into the other wayward soldier's face. Both soldiers went flying back from the impact. She ran again, until she finally made it to the nearest pod. They said, a sensor activation panel was on the side of the door. So Angel slide her hand along the panel and she heard a slight whizzing sound right as the door started to open.
Once it opened all the way, she jumped in and scrambled to close the pod door. Angel fiddled with the controls, trying to figure out which one closes it. By the time she reached the fifth button, it must have did the trick. Because with another hiss, the door began to close. And could it close any slower? It was just about to seal up completely. Until a few pale fingers quickly reached in and grasped the door and prohibited it from closing any further.
Then quicker than she could blink. The door was violently ripped off and tossed across the bay. The same pale hand reached in and grabbed her. They jerked her out of the pod and tossed her down onto the floor. Angel landed hard on her side with a pained gasp. Then someone grabbed her around the back of her neck and hauled her up. Angel met with enraged crimson eyes.
"Just what do you think your doing?" Frieza hissed out.
Angel stayed frozen on the spot, too stunned to say anything. The tyrant applied more pressure to the back of her neck. She grit her teeth as pain shot up and down her back. She began clawing at his hand. But it was hard to reach his hand from her position.
"You were trying to escape." He added.
"What the hell did you expect? That I actually wanted to stay here, and with your insane ass?! She gritted out.
Frieza put a hand to his chest in mock hurt.
"That's not very nice. That actually hurt. And here I gave you one of the nicer rooms. Most of the others are just bare and vacant spaces." He taunted.
Before he could say more. The ship rocked violently. More alarms started blaring all around them. What was it now? The ship continued to rock back and forth so roughly. Angel was surprised it didn't throw Frieza off balance. But he too, was looking around wondering what the hell was happening. Then a panicked voice came over the loud speakers.
"The ship's flight regulators have been compromised! We cannot stabilize!" Said the familiar squeaky voice of Kikono.
Then a few men came running into the bay.
"Lord Frieza, it appears someone blew a hole in the ship! The damage is too extensive to repair quick enough, before this ship crashes or blows!" One of them shouted in alarm.
The tyrant turned his glare back to the young woman in his grip.
"You, you understand what you just done!? You destroyed the ship you little imbecile!" He yelled in her face.
There was a loud bang and the ship jolted and shifted. Causing the soldiers to fall and slide across the floor as the ship tipped. While Frieza still remained firmly planted to the floor. The fire alarms were now going off as multiple fires popped up around the ship. All the soldiers were running about in a panic trying to put them out and figure a way to keep the ship steady.
But the evil emperor already knew there was nothing anyone could do. The ship was starting to fall apart. He growled in frustration and walked over to one of the pods, dragging Angel with him. Frieza then swiped his free hand over the sensor. As the pod door opened, there was an explosion near the docking area. Sparks flew everywhere. Some of those sparks hit a few tarps covering some small storage containers. And soon, they caught fire. Smoke started clouding up the area.
The men started running around frantic now, trying to figure out what to do. Frieza ignored them, as he settled with Angel in the pod. Since both occupants were small, there was enough room for both of them in there. He hit the button to close the door and tried to plug in co-ordinations. But another jolt from the ship made his hand slip on the buttons and he put in the wrong ones.
He cursed and tried to correct it. But there was no more time. The ship was about to fall apart. So he hit another button to open a hatch in front of them. Then he jettisoned them into space. They were only flying for about four more minutes when they heard a loud bang and felt some shockwaves. Which only meant one thing. The ship exploded.
Angel looked around in a panic. "Where are we going!?"
Too pissed to give her an answer, the tyrant just told her to 'Shut Up'. Before she could retort back and yell at him for leaving his men behind to die. Her hand that was resting against the wall slipped and she hit a large, green oval button on the side. It gave a couple beeps before it started spewing out some weird mist. Frieza's eyes widened and he shot her a glare.
"You fool, you hit the button for the sleeping gas!" He then reached out to try and turn it off.
But a big plum of mist smacked him right in the face. A few moments later, he started getting drowsy. He tried shaking off the effects and again tried reaching over the young woman to try and turn it off. But Angel drifted to sleep and fell forward, blocking any access to the button to turn the gas off. Frieza meant to move her. But in the process of doing so, his vision started going black around the corners. And moments later, he lost the fight to stay conscious.
His crimson eyes drifted shut and he ended up falling against Angel. It was a rather compromising position, since his arms were still around her as he tried moving her. It made it appear the arcosian warrior was embracing the young woman. There was nothing more they could do now. Coordinates were set to some unknown location. A location that brought them further out into the vastness of space.
4 Days Later in the Southern Quadrant of Space...
The pod landed in the middle of some clear blue lake. The water hardly slowing it down, until it hit the sandy bottom. Angel was awoken, when she felt something wet drip onto her face. She slowly opened her eyes, wiping the droplets off her forehead and cheek. Then she looked around, wondering where the water came from. Only to see some more water drip from the seam in the pod's door. Angel heard a groan from her right and felt some movement by her side.
She looked to see Frieza, who was also waking up. When he did, the first thing he looked at was a small screen off to the side. It had these strange symbols flashing across the screen. Did he not notice there was water dripping into the pod? Where was it coming from? Did they land? Frieza finally turned his gaze to her. His eyes narrowed into a scowl.
"Wherever we are, we just landed." He informed her.
She gave him a brief glance before turning her attention back to the seam in the door. Which appeared to be leaking in even more water.
"I think we should be more concerned with the fact, that wherever we did land, it's quite wet. Can only hope that's rain leaking in here." Angel stated.
But apart of her knew that may not be the case. There was a possibility they landed in some body of water and are possibly submerged. Frieza inspected the water leaking in. He pressed his fingers to one of the leaks and rubbed the water between his fingers.
"This pod must've sustained some damage coming in. Because these doors are suppose to be locked airtight. It shouldn't be leaking like this. It confirms one thing. We landed in water and are currently submerged underwater." He paused and turned back to her with a glare. "We have you to thank for this mess."
She glared back. "If you have something to say, then that's fine. But let's get the hell out of this oversized, hollowed out pinball first."
Frieza's glare deepened, then a smirk slowly made it's way to his face.
"As you wish." He said.
Then he hit the button to open the doors. Without giving her time to take a breath. Water quickly flooded the pod and large air bubbles shot out of the pod into the water. Frieza kicked out of the pod. Angel kept getting bombarded by water for a moment. Then when the whole thing filled, she exited the pod. At first, Angel looked around to see where Frieza went.
She started to panic when she couldn't spot him in the clear blue water through all the bubbles. Once they cleared and she could see better, Angel was met by a place teaming with aquatic life. Strange schools of fish swam by and there were many sea plants sprouting up from the bottom. Angel looked up to see how far she was from the surface.
Luckily, it didn't look too deep. So Angel started kicking to the surface. As she grew closer, her lungs started tensing up. She needed oxygen and soon. So she kept pushing further. Bubbles were exiting her nose and mouth and she was starting to tire a bit. Guess she was further from the surface than she originally thought. Angel kicked harder, until finally; it started getting brighter. As her mind started to go fuzzy from lack of oxygen, she broke the surface.
Angel took a big inhale and started coughing while flailing her arms. Once she got her bearings, she looked around and spotted the shore several meters away. And Lord Scumbag, was standing there arms crossed, obviously waiting for her. She looked around more, trying to see if there was another part of shore she can go to, so she wouldn't have to deal with him.
But unfortunately, the part of shore he was on was closest. Angel sighed and started swimming over. About eight feet from shore, her feet could touch the bottom. So she began to wade the rest of the way to land. She veered off to the far left, long before touching the bottom. Still trying to put distance between the two of them. What a waste that was. Since he started trudging over, as she finally stumbled onto the sandy bank.
Angel couldn't enjoy the feeling of being on land for very long. Because next, she was grabbed around the neck and hoisted in the air. She dangled above the pissed off tyrant as if she hardly weighed anything to him. Then Frieza pulled his arm back only to thrust it forward and release her. She flew back several yards and landed hard on her back.
She went into another round of coughing fits. Then her eyes widened, when he pounced on top of her. Angel barely moved her head out of the way in time from his oncoming fist. A bunched of sand was kicked up from his hit. When he leaned in again to hit her, she was ready. She quickly thrusted her palm up and nailed him in the nose. When he pulled back, she pulled her legs out from between his knees, and thrusted her feet into his gut. The move shoved him back several yards and into a tree trunk.
Frieza growled and was about to charge her. When there was a loud rumbling sound and a large beast shot out of the foliage. Angel's mouth dropped open slightly. The animal was huge! It had scaly skin and large claws decorated it's limbs. It instantly reminded her of a dinosaur. And with those claws and teeth, it reminded her of the T-Rex Scenes from 'Jurassic Park'.
It eyed the both of them with it's beady yellow eyes. Before letting out a deep, bellowing roar. It was so loud that Angel covered her ears with a wince. Then it swung it's head from left to right, trying to figure out who to go after first. Apparently, Frieza wasn't going to wait for it to make it's decision. He charged up a red ball of ki. And shot it at the large reptile. It knocked the animal on it's side. But didn't appear to do much damage to it's thick armor like hide.
It clumsily stumbled back to it's feet with a fierce growl. Then set its sight on the arcosian warrior. Frieza just charged up a bigger energy attack. One Angel recognized to be a death ball. She quickly jumped out of the way to put some distance between her and the attack. This one was not nearly as big though. It looked to be roughly around the same size as a small car. He hurled it at the large monster like animal.
When it collided, the animal let out another roar as the energy engulfed it. Once it exploded, Angel made a face of pure disgust and ducked down to cover herself as blood, guts, entrails, and body parts flew in different directions. Frieza didn't move a muscle afterwards, even as gore flew past him in chunks. Once it was over, Angel jumped down from the boulder she retreated to. The once picturesque lake scene now looked like a bloody massacre.
Again, he started to approach her. But this time, he didn't try to attack her. Frieza stopped about three feet away from Angel. An amused glint shined in his eyes at her state. Some blood spatter decorated her clothes. And what looked suspiciously like brain mattered was also mixed in. A lot of it was in her hair.
"Was that really necessary?" She snapped.
He opened his mouth to speak, there was a gross splotching sound coming from all around them. Then movement caught their eye. They looked around for the source. Only to see something truly morbid and disgusting. The guts from the dead animal started to move and slither through the sand. The bloody chunks started meeting up in the middle of the shallow crater where the impact hit was. They started to pile on top and move together. Body parts started quickly making their way to the pile.
The young human woman and arcosian look on in utter confusion and surprise. After a couple minutes, the large animal reformed itself. It was very unsteady on its feet though as it stumbled and fell over its feet a few times. Then it turned its yellow gaze back to them. When it started to approach them, Angel and Frieza quickly took to the air to get out of the strange animal's reach.
"What the fuck was that!? Just where in the hell are we!?" She shouted to him.
He quickly scoped out their new surroundings. There was lots of greenery. It looked like some tropical forest. It was rather hot and humid and strangely, there were two suns. There were also other planets seen from the sky. This place was completely new to them.
"I'm not sure." He told her.
She gave him a surprised look. "What do you mean you don't know? I thought you knew just about every single planet in this whole entire universe."
He snorts. "I know of many planets. But not All of them. This universe is vast, with many places left unexplored. This being one of those planets. I'm not even sure of what Region or Quadrant of space we are currently in."
"Great, just fucking fantastic. Now how in the hell are we suppose to get out of here?" She snapped.
Frieza crossed his arms and glared at her. "Well, we wouldn't be in this predicament if it weren't for your rash actions. You cost me a ship and a good portion of my force."
She clenched her jaw. "This wouldn't have happened if you just left me alone and left me on earth. But I guess thinking ahead was never one of your strong suits."
He growled. "I don't have time to argue with you on petty matters. We need to find another way off this world. I doubt that pod is still going to work. As I said, it most likely took on damage on the way in. And now it's flooded with water at the bottom of that lake below. Instead of pointing fingers and playing the blame game. You should learn to take on the consequences that come with your actions."
Without saying another word, he took off. Not wanting to be left behind, Angel had no choice but to follow. She looked around at the landscape. It looked very similar to a typical tropical climate you would see at home. Like Hawaii or some place in South America. If it weren't for the predicament they were in, Angel wouldn't mind taking in the beautiful sight around them.
About fifteen minutes into flying, the sky started to open up. It started to downpour, and moments later, the familiar rumbling sound of thunder followed. Angel pulled up next to Frieza and told him the storm is getting worse and that they should seek shelter until it stops. He was about to ignore her, when a thunderbolt narrowly missed them, followed by another. That's when he begrudgingly started to take her advice. And he made a gesture to the right. A few miles away there appeared to be a small cluster of mountains. So they turned and headed straight for them.
Looks like that escape plan was botched. And now Angel is stuck on some unknown planet with the last person she wants to be around. With the pod damaged, one can only wonder how they will find their way off this strange world. If anyone wants an idea what the planet looks like. Just think of the game reserve planet from the movie PREDATORS (2010). Until Next Time ;)
