Three days after they had rescued the Sabertooth, there had been no attacks.
"Hey Max, what are you doing in here?" asked Rex as he walked into the lab to find Max standing at a table.
"Your dad showed me how to make new cards for us so I came up with something," said Max as he held some cards in his hands.
"Wait, you made new cards?" asked Rex with a stunned expression.
"I'm happy to let you know that I've actually been getting straight As in all my classes of late," said Max as he went to leave.
"Get everyone to meet in the training room, I'm going to demonstrate the new cards there," said Max as he left Rex standing there speechless. A few minutes later, everyone was in a large room outside the lab.
"Alright, I should let you all know that these cards are so powerful that they only have a one time use and they disintegrate after that," said Max.
"Then what good are they?" asked Jaison.
"Don't worry, I'm also working on making copies," said Max.
"I also asked Dr. Ancient to upgrade our D-Techters, these cards take a lot of energy to use," said Max.
"Why do they take so much energy?" asked Zoe.
"I'll show you," said Max before he summoned Chomp.
"Here we go, Chomp, Supreme Lightning!" said Max as three gages next to the card swipe turned green. The second Max swiped the card, it sent an electrical charge all over Chomp's body. When the charge exited Chomp's horns, the energy destroyed a target forty feet away.
"That was cool," said Taya. Suddenly, Chomp's shield turned green, red, and blue while his back had silver, brown, white and grey stripes.
"Whoa, what happened to him?" asked Jaison.
"After the cards are used our dinosaurs will enter Supreme Form, giving them even more power," said Max.
"Is there a time limit?" asked Zoe.
"When all the gauges are red, that means you have used up all the energy," said Max as he showed them the three gauges.
"That's actually awesome," said Rex who was impressed.
