In Rani's old Pride, Kia had fully taken over. The lionesses were reluctantly under his leadership. After what he'd done to their former leaders, they were afraid to challenge him, even as a group.
Kia smirked as he approached the group of lionesses. "One of you lucky lionesses will have the honor of being my queen." He chuckled a bit. "The only question is...which one of you?"
The lionesses scowled at him, showing their disinterest.
"Hm? You girls not ready to decide? I suppose I could give you a bit to decide..." He smirked, only adding the the Pride's disgust.
He slowly made his way out of the main Pride Lands and headed over to the nearby water hole. Those lionesses don't know what their missing out on. Who wouldn't want to be mates with me?
Kia leaned down to take a drink of water when he heard a sound. A worn out looking lioness quickly lapped up water.
Interested Kia approached her. "Hello there."
The lioness looked up, slightly startled. "Oh uh... hello..."
"What's a beautiful lioness like you doing in a place like this?"
She let out a small chuckle. "I'm just looking for a place to stay."
"Why don't you stay with my Pride?" Kia asked.
Her eyes lit up. "R-really?"
"Of course. My name is Kia... King Kia."
She laughed a bit more. "I'm Zuri."
"Well Zuri, welcome to my Pride."
Note: This Zuri is not Kiara's friend from The Lion Guard, this is the name of the people who requested the story's OC. It's a really pretty name and I don't see why an OC can't have the same name as a canon character. Lion Guard Zuri doesn't have any appearance in this story so I don't think this will cause any confusion. I'm going to have a lot of fun writing her!
