Naruto in the NBA: Clutch City

City of Angels/City of Bad Memories
Naruto sighs as he and Samui get off the team bus and look around their surroundings as Naruto's other teammates get off the bus.
"So, you and your mom have been here before, right?" Samui asks her boyfriends who nods.
"Yeah, we haven't been back since they split up" Naruto responds as the team check into their hotel. Naruto and Samui enter their room and Naruto flops onto the bed, Samui looks at him and cuddles up next to him.
"I know it must be hard to be here, just know I'm here for you Naruto-kun" Samui says as she runs her fingers through Naruto's spikey blonde hair.
"Yeah, it is but I can't let that ruin me for the game, I'll have to take out all those bad memories on the Lakers at the game" Naruto says and Samui smiles at him, Naruto leans up and kisses her warmly.
"Goodnight Samui-chan" Naruto says closing his eyes as Samui turns over so her back was pressed into his chest.
"Goodnight my prince" Samui says smiling as she drifts off to sleep.
Hotel Lobby
The Houston Rockets have gathered in the lobby with Mike D'Antoni all dressed in casual clothing.
"All right guys we've an entire day to ourselves before the game, it's up to what you do with it but remember we will have practice today so don't be late now get out of here. Ivar nods and grabs his gym bag and exits the hotel until he is stopped by LeBron James.
"We're you headed rook?" Bron asks him.
"To the gym I like to work out in the morning" Ivar says flexing his muscles and Brom nods.
"You know where you going?" Bron asks and Ivar nods.
"I'm familiar with Los Angeles" Ivar responds and Bron nods.
"It's good to get in the gym early it will get your body right, you need a partner?" Bron asks and Ivar nods and the two head for the gym together.
"So, we're are we going Naruto-kun?" Samui asks.
"To get breakfast first, we're going to spend the whole day together" Naruto says making Samui smile brightly.
Gym

As the song begins to play Ivar sets up a bench press with two 45 plates on each side for 225 pounds, a light warmup for him. Ivar lays on the bench and Bron sets himself up to spot for Ivar. Ivar lifts the bar and lowers it to his chest and immediately lifts it back up as soon as it touches his chest.
"There you go" Bron cheers on as Ivar easily lifts the weight fourteen more times. They switch places with Ivar spotting Bron under the weight. Ivar watches as Bron also easily lifts the weight until something catches his eye. A blonde-haired woman with fair skin and slightly above average height for a lady, she smiles at Ivar as she walks over to a squat rack, Ivar smiles back as Bron finishes his set.
"We'll go up five...did you hear me? Ivar? Yo!" Ivar snaps out of his stare and nods his head. Ivar and Bron increase the weight on the bar to 235. Ivar gets under it and benches it ten times while Bron cheers him on, they switch places but Ivar gets distracted watching the woman squat her weight which accentuates her curvy butt. This continues for the next hour with Ivar admiring the woman on the squat rack when he wasn't benching.
"Why don't you go talk to her man?" Bron asks Ivar after the large man just got done tossing around 275lbs five times much to the older man's disbelief.
"Really? You think she's into me?" Ivar asks his team's leader.
"Bro she's been sending you looks every time you were under the bench, get over there" Bron says pushing Ivar over to the woman who looks at the large man standing in front of her.
"Hey" She says smiling at him.
"Hey, my name's Ivar" Ivar introduces himself.
"I saw you killing on the bench over there, I'm Shaniah by the way" She says smiling at Ivar who smiles back at her.
"Assuming that's LeBron James and not a convincing look-alike, you must be in the NBA or his personal trainer" Shaniah says and Ivar chuckles.
"It's the former, I play for the Rockets" Ivar responds.
"Aren't you guys playing the Lakers tomorrow I would love to go but I couldn't get close enough tickets" Shaniah says.
"I can get you a good seat, you'd have to give me your number so they know who to give it to" Ivar says and Shaniah smiles slyly at him.
"Oh really? Tell you what if you can bench at least 295 twice on the bench I'll give you my number" Shaniah says and Ivar scoffs.
"295? Too easy, Hey Bron! Put 315 on there" Ivar says to Bron who nods smirking to himself as he sets up the bench press with three plates on each side.
"If I do 315 five times, I get your number and date while the team's in LA" Ivar says and Shaniah smirks at him.
"You're on" The people in the gym all surround Ivar as he gets under the bench with 315 on the bar, some pull out cameras as Bron is ready to spot. Ivar lifts the bar up and lowers it to his chest then immediately raises it when it touches his chest. Ivar easily repeats this four times as the rest of the gym cheers him on, Ivar racks the weight and stands up smiling victoriously Shaniah walks over to him.
"Guess I'll see you soon" Ivar says as Shaniah rolls her eyes smiling at him.
"Don't think I don't notice you trying hard not to stare at my muscles while I'm sweating" Ivar says as he and Shaniah exchange numbers.
"Whatever I've got a workout to get back to" Shaniah says smiling as she walks away making sure that Ivar was staring at her jiggling ass while she walked away.
"I'm loving America more everyday" Ivar says to himself.
Game 2: Houston Rockets Los Angeles Lakers
The game is getting ready to start having done introductions for the players and coaches, the Houston Rockets were sitting on their benches with Coach D'Antoni talking to his coaching staff. Naruto is just staring ahead at nothing in his seat next to Ivar lost in thought.
"Kushina what is your problem?! I take you to Los Angeles and you won't even so much as look at me when we're alone!"
"I don't care Minato! Just because you take me places doesn't mean I forgot what you did!"
"I'm not trying to make you forget I'm trying to get you to forgive me"
"Let's not do this right now, Naruto could- oh Naruto! Good morning sweety"
"Morning son, how'd you sleep?"
"Naruto, hey Naruto, Naruto!" Naruto snaps out of his stare after Ivar yells in his ear.
"Sorry, sorry" Naruto says and Ivar raises a brow at him.
"The game's about to start so you might want to get out of your warmups so you can line up" Naruto hastily stands up and gets out of his warmups to reveal his away jersey.
Throughout the game
The Rockets were dominating the Lakers easily thanks to the connection between LeBron and CP3, the solo skills of Harden, and the defense of Ivar who's recorded eight rebounds and two blocks in three quarters. Despite all this Naruto was not having a good game, he only has eight points, six assists, seven turnovers, two rebounds, and no steals or blocks. Right now, it's the middle of the third quarter and CP3 passes the ball to Naruto who is sitting in the right corner of the three-point line, he shoots the ball but it bounces off the rim, luckily LeBron managed to fight past the Lakers and jump up for a put back dunk. The head coach of the Lakers Luke Walton calls a timeout and both teams return to their benches.
"Naruto sit down you need a break" Coach D'Antoni says gesturing to the bench and Naruto understands and sits on the bench next to Ivar.
"What's going on?" Ivar asks Naruto who looks at him with a sullen look.
"Just a bad game" Naruto says and Ivar shakes his head.
"I don't think it's a just a bad game, something's bothering you what is it?" Ivar asks and Naruto shakes his head.
"It is personal" Naruto says and Ivar nods.
"I get it but bit of advice, you shouldn't let personal things affect your game, your teammates count on you" Ivar says as the buzzer sounds and play resumes, Ivar stands up and reenters the game leaving Naruto with a faraway look in his eyes.
Inside Naruto's Head
"Kushina I'm sorry, it was a mistake I promise it won't happen again"
"A mistake is one time Minato, you seemd to make this mistake a lot ya know!"
"I'm sorry but we've been having a terrible time and she made me happy and it's not like you've been faithful either!"
"I didn't sleep with anybody!"
"Yeah you just went on dates with them every weekend, leaving poor Naruto confused about where his mother went!"
"Do not bring Naruto into these, I have been taken care of our son everyday while you're off sleeping with your secretary, yes I go out but I still take care of our son!"
"That's the biggest lie I've ever heard, When I'm not doing business, I'm with Naruto!"
"Don't you dare call me a liar Minato Namikaze, you're not doing business, you're doing your secretary!"
"Mommy, daddy what's going on?"
"Naruto! I'm sorry did we wake you up?"
"Sorry about that kiddo, we'll be quieter so you can sleep"
"Why are you yelling at each other?"
"Mommy and daddy are having a disagreement, nothing you need to worry yourself about, go back to bed sweetie mommy will be in there to tuck you in"
"Okay mommy"
"I'm going to tuck Naruto to sleep and when we get home call your lawyer, I'm leaving and I'm taking my son with me"
What neither Minato or Kushina knew was that Naruto stayed back to hear that last part. Those words uttered by his mother changed him for good, so did the words spoken by his father in response.
"Fine leave, I flew you and him out to Los Angeles to try and put things back together and if you want to leave then leave, I'm staying I need time away from you"
Real World
"Hey Naruto, hey, rook you listening?" Naruto snaps back to reality and sees Chris Paul talking to him. Naruto looks at the clock and sees that the thrid quarter has ended and the Lakers were making a comeback. The score was Rockets with 107 and the Lakers with 104.
"They coming back on us but what I want to know is, are you okay?" Chris asks and Naruto looks down.
"Sorry just, bad memories" Naruto says and Chris nods his head.
"I get that, LA is beautiful but it ain't the wonderland it's made out to be, you know what though?" Naruto looks up at Chris.
"That ain't excuse to play bad, that should be the reason you dominate, use whatever is messing with your head to motivate you, let it drive you, you understand?" Naruto nods understanding most of Chris' speech. Coach D'Antoni walks over to the pair of them.
"Uzumaki your up, we need you and Renouf to sustain our lead while the others rest, you'll be out there with Knight, Korver, and Carter" Coachs says and Naruto nods standing up with a determined look in his eyes. The buzzer for the fourth quarter sounds and Naruto walks onto the court, he walks to Ivar who is ready to throw the ball in.
"Glad you're feeling better now let's do this" Ivar says and Naruto nods.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Houston Rockets: 4th Quarter
Naruto brings the ball up where he is met by Kyle Kuzma, Naruto fakes as if he's going to drive but then he pulls back quickly causing Kuzma to stumble back a bit giving Naruto space. Naruto shoots the ball from the top of the three-point line and hits nothing but net. The Lakers are bringing the ball back up with Lonzo controlling the ball, he goes to pass to Kuzma for a three but Naruto intercepts and tips the ball, Lonzo was able to recover it and shoots a hasty three that bounces off the rim and is rebounded by Ivar. Ivar passes the ball up the court to Naruto who catches the ball and quickly bounces it to Korver who shoots a corner three and hits nothing but net. Naruto and Korver high five as they get back on defense, Lonzo passes to Ingram who goes for a dunk but Ivar meets him at the rim and blocks the shot, the ball bounces towards out of bounds but Ivar manages to race after it and swat into the hands of Naruto as he crashes out.
"Really nice view" Ivar looks up and sees Shaniah smiling at him, he laughs as he gets up and watches as Naruto backs Kuzma to the basket before turning around for a fadeaway that goes in.
"I told you I could get them" Ivar says to Shaniah as he gets back on defense. Lonzo manages to drive past Knight and lay the ball up for two points. Naruto brings the ball up and drive past Kuzma quickly and goes for a layup but Zubic meets him, he bumps into Naruto who is still able to lay the ball up through the contact. A ref blows his whistle for the and-one as Naruto fist bumps his teammates.
Naruto stands at the free throw line and smirks at Ivar who nods at him, Naruto practically throws the ball at the hoop. Ivar uses his size and physical presence to box out both Zubic and Kuzma allowing Naruto to run in for a put back layup causing the crowd to go wild. Ingrams tries his luck with another dunk but again is denied by Ivar who this time snatches the ball from his hand much to the crowd's excitement. He passes to Naruto who dribbles to the rim but is met by Lonzo and Josh Hart causing him to stop. Naruto tries to dribble around them but can't so he lobs the ball up and Ivar catches it and dunks it with two hands.
The game continues with this trend of the Rockets surging and maintaining their lead over the Lakers. The game ends Rockets 134 and Lakers 120, Naruto finished the game with 19 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals and Ivar finished the game with 10 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 blocks. The Houston Rockets are now 2-0 for the season an undefeated in both home and road games.
Undisputed with Skip and Shannon
"Let's talk about last night's game, the Houston Rockets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 134 to 120 with a 36-point performance from LeBron and James and a 28-point performance from James Harden however, the talk of the night was Naruto Uzumaki. The rookie Power Forward surged in the fourth quarter and a bad three quarters of play with eleven points, four assists, two rebounds, and two steals all in the fourth quarter, Shannon what do you think of the rookie?" Jenny asks.
"His fourth quarter performance as far as rookies go was pretty great especially after the three quarters, he was having he needed this Skip, it was like he couldn't miss and he was his regular assist machine out there feeding anybody and everybody he could. I'm really liking the connection he has with Ivar on the court, Ivar has really impressed me with his play especially for a late second rounder but it's no question that right now Naruto's the fourth best player on the team" Shannons says Skip scoffs.
"Last night against my man Lonzo Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers got exposed for what he is, a good player but not a great player, he played horribly for three quarters and his fourth quarter that everybody is ranting and raving about wasn't that impressive, the guy I was impressed with got a passing mention from hall of famer Shannon Sharpe and that's Ivar Renouf. The big Center out of UCLA, Lonzo's former teammate and the best rookie on that team because he gives you exactly what you need from him, defense and rebounding, with LeBron James and Chris Paul the Rockets don't need another playmaker and with LeBron James and James Harden they don't need another scorer but they could use an enforcer. A kind of Charles Oakley, Kendrick Perkins type whose never gonna be a twenty-point scorer or even eighteen-point scorer but he will be the edge and toughness of this team for years to come" Skip finishes his rant.
"Skip you always going in about the fourth quarter about how it's the most important quarter in sports, well Naruto Uzumaki was amazing in the fourth quarter now you wanna bring the first three but you don't do that with LeBron or Kawhii. Listed Skip Ivar is good but he's exactly what we thought he would be, Naruto is even better than we thought he would be" Shannon says.
"He's what I said he was which is overrated" Skip finishes and Shannon scoffs as the camera pans out.
Houston, Texas: Uzumaki Residence
Kushina and Tsunade have woken up and are eating breakfast in a comfortable silence.
"You know Kushina, when the camera caught his eyes Naruto looked pretty lost for a while" Tsunade says and Kushina sighs staring at her food.
"I know and I know why he did" Kushina says and Tsunade looks at her with concern.
"It's been fifteen years and he's still affected by it" Kushina says,
"It's not you fault Kushina" Tsunade says reassuringly but Kushina looks up at with tears welling in her eyes.
"It is my fault Tsunade, I scarred my son for life"

I know, I know we're have you been? What have you been doing? How come you have energy to upload two other stories including an NFL one? The truth is, I lost some of the passion for this one but I found it again, so I promise to upload more chapters of this and keep the story going. Just want to clarify Naruto doesn't hate his dad, it's just things that make him think of the time his parents were together are painful for him
