Hermione allowed Ginny to push her toward the rail with only a token resistance. She blushed heavily when she tentatively reached out to place her hands on the rail. Draco hovered just below Harry and she could tell they were having a conversation. Then he was speeding toward her. She looked back at her friends for support.
"You know how you feel. Tell him." Ginny smiled back at her. She turned back to find him hovering in front of her. He looked breathless and rumpled from the wind, but to her, he'd never looked more handsome.
"Hi." He said quietly.
"Draco." She murmured.
"I've missed you." He said quietly. "You look good in my jersey." He grinned.
"I like it. I think I'll keep it." Hermione quipped, falling back into teasing him.
"That's my lucky jersey Granger. If you keep it, that means you have to come to every game." He raised an eyebrow at her. "You hate Quidditch."
"I…I think I could do that." She smiled shyly at him.
"And the team tradition?" he asked hesitantly.
"Isn't that why you flew all the way over here?" she asked breathlessly as he inched closer to her. She silently conjured a step stool and rose higher to meet him.
"Fourteen years, Granger. Fourteen years I have wanted this. Fourteen years I have waited." Draco murmured as his face inched closer and closer to her.
"Malfoy." She growled. "Shut up and kiss me."
"You don't have to tell me twice." He grinned and then ever so slowly his lips slid across hers. Without her realizing it, he scooped her onto his broom and wound his fingers into her chestnut curls as they kissed. The roar from the crowd broke them apart as she hid her face in his chest, still unaware that she was on a broom. "I love you. I just want you to know that." He said, kissing the top of her head.
"Good." She smiled up at him, "because I think I love you too."
"Really?" he asked, a grin spreading across his face.
"Really. And if I've been informed correctly, I believe I owe you two more kisses Mr. Malfoy." She whispered as she kissed him again.
"Oi! Malfoy!" Blaise hollered, "As much as we're all enjoying the show, put your witch down so we can finish this match, then you can snog her to your heart's content." Hermione looked toward Blaise and realized that she was no longer standing and shrieked as she clung to Draco.
"Put me down! Put me down now! You know I hate flying." She squealed. Draco drifted back toward the team box and lowered her to the ground once again.
"You didn't even notice until Blaise opened his big mouth." He smirked, leaning toward her once again. "You know I'd never let you fall."
"I already have." She murmured as she pulled him down for another kiss. "That's three. Now, go win." She smirked, pushing him away from her once again. She stepped back from the rail as he sped back to rejoin his teammates for the release of the quaffle.
"Well. That was some first kiss." Ginny said, fanning herself. "It's sure got me all hot and bothered and I thought only Theo and Blaise did that."
"You're welcome to watch any time Potter." Theo smirked. Ginny hauled off and punched his shoulder with a laugh. "You punch like a girl." He taunted.
"Bat bogey." Ginny said simply as Hermione returned to her seat. "I'm so happy for you Mione!" she squealed, sweeping her into a hug. "And you flew!"
"Don't remind me!" Hermione groaned. "Once I realized it, I was terrified."
"Draco would never let you fall Hermione." Luna said sweetly. "While I don't enjoy flying alone, I do enjoy flying with Neville."
"Same." Theo interjected. "There's this thing that Blaise does with his.." he was silenced by Ginny's hand over his mouth.
"Oversharing." Ginny muttered.
"Oh, you know you want to know." Theo grinned wickedly.
"You can tell me later. When I can enjoy it." Ginny glared playfully at him.
"There are some things friends just don't need to know." Luna said, barely holding in her laughter. Hermione said nothing throughout the exchange, but knew that her face must be as red as the jersey she wore.
"The group turned their attention back to the game when the crowd cheered again. They watched both teams flying in intricate patterns around one another as they battled for the quaffle. Angelina scored several times, each time returning to wherever George was to kiss her husband. Blaise and Draco shot down the pitch in tandem, tossing the quaffle between them.
"We're up Granger." Theo said cheerfully as he bound out of his seat. Hermione followed more hesitantly, not used to the attention. She and Theo stood together, watching Draco and Blaise score several times in a row simply because they moved too fast for anyone to catch them. She laughed as they spun around each other as they flew toward the team box.
"Show-off." she teased as he pulled up in front of her.
"Blaise is the show-off love." Draco laughed loudly, gesturing to the pair next to them.
"Yes, well. Kiss me and go. Your team is waiting for you." Hermione said breathlessly. Grinning, he leaned down, dangling from his broom, and kissed her again before zooming off to rejoin the game.
