Chapter 9: Peggy's point of view

"Where are they?" I said, starting to freak out. I knew that they were out getting dinner, and that John COMPLETELY liked him, but I was afraid. He had barely met this man! I was scared that Alex would do something to him. I didn't know him!

"Peggy, you need to chill out. I'm sure they are fine." Eliza said.

"You started this whole thing Eliza!" I shouted back. She went silent.

"Look- I-I'm sorry, I am just stressed, ok? John is my best friend, and yes i get that they are eating but i just-" Tears started streaming down my face.

"Look, how about we all just leave, give them some time to eat. I'm sure they'll call us when they are back!" Charles said. I still didn't trust him, so i didn't call him 'charlie'. I sighed. "You're right…. I'm going to go back to mom and dad's. Mom told me Philip wanted to play a game." (Yes she actually had a little brother, named Philip who was 10 years younger than her. I looked it up lmao). I sighed and walked out. I was just worried. I didn't know Alexander! What if he was a rapist? What if he was a kidnapper?! I just sat down on a stair and opened my phone. I opened my phone to text John, but I hesitated. He would probably get mad at me for texting him in the middle of his… rendezvous. Instead I texted Alex.

"Hey. How's it going over there?" I texted, not knowing where they really were.

"It's good. We just ordered."

"How's John? Is he still pretty upset?"

"I'm pretty sure he's forgotten about it. He's been smiling beautifully this whole time."

"Well that's good! I'll see you guys when you get back."

"Ok. Bye!"

Well now I knew he was a nice person. He used punctuation and was really nice about John. I got up and headed to my parents' house. "Hi honey! Philip is upstairs, about to get the game." She smiled. My mom was a loving caring person. "Hi Peggy! Are you staying for dinner tonight?" My dad was just like my mom, but he loved having us over for dinner. "Dad, I live here!" I laughed. "Well, correct but, I always have to ask that question!" He said as he hugged me.
