Chapter 13 The rescue.
Jake and the children made it to Blackwater Tower and had killed the two wights and three out of four hollows. Now it was time to rescue Miss Peregrine, ymbrynes, and Tatiana. They killed the two wights with Mr. Barron and went after him when he took off. Emma kept him distracted while Jake rescued Miss Peregrine and the ymbrynes.
Jake opened the cage doors while Barron tried to get into the room. Barron finally got into the room, but Jake opened the cages and let the ymbrynes out, and they all attacked Barron. While that was happening, Jake freed Miss Peregrine. Miss Peregrine clawed at Barron's face, but he got her wing with his ax like a hand. She flew out the door through the hole he made.
Alma went to find Tatiana and found her tied to a chair. She turned into her human form and untied her. Meanwhile, Emma and Enoch went to find Jake. Barron turned himself into Jake, which confused Emma and Enoch. Jake finally proved he was the real Jake as a hollow came and killed Barron. Jake then shot the hollow, and they went to find Tatiana.
They found Tatiana healing Miss Peregrine, they watched as it healed, and Alma brushed her fingers against Tatiana's cheek before cupping it. Tatiana closed her eyes, leaning into the hand. Alma smiled, and they both leaned in and kissed. Alma, Tatiana, Emma, Enoch, and Emma walked back to the ship. Jake decided to stay and return to his own time.
