Chapter 13, Serena.
The next day Savannah's water had broken, so Abe called for an ambulance. Abe stayed with her while she had her baby. Abe held her and looked at Savannah, who was sleeping at the moment. Abe told the baby about her uncle Jake and the children and Miss Peregrine.
When Savannah woke up, Abe was still in the room with her, and when the nurse came in to check Savannah and saw that she was awake, she walked over to the bed. Savannah looked at the nurse. The nurse was an older woman called Penelope Roberts.
"Have you decided what to name your daughter yet?" Penelope asked Savannah. Savannah shared a look with Abe and then looked at the nurse.
"I'm naming her Serena Alma Portman, "Savannah said. The nurse wrote it down on the birth certificate and then left the room. Savannah looked at Abe.
"You better let Jake know about the baby grandfather," Savanna said to Abe. Abe kissed Savannah on the forehead and left the room to go home. When Abe got home, he grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, but its camera also went back to the hospital.
Abe started the letter before taking a photo of Savannah and Serena together. He had it developed and put it in the letter. He put a stamp on it then posted the message off to Jake.
Savannah was allowed to go home. She went to her grandfather's house with him. Savannah was now living with him. She looked after him and her daughter but didn't talk to her parents. They had only seen Serena once and didn't come to see her again.
