The feeling of emptiness he experienced was unpleasant and his mind couldn't help but drift back to yesterday he hid himself in his tent after the mind-control was broken. The feeling of being trapped of not thinking being a prisoner in his own mind, he wouldn't wish that fate on anyone. He didn't dare face her after that embarrassment. He just sulked in his tent.
The next morning had arrived much to his disinterest, time seemed to move quicker when you are avoiding something."We need to talk" Natsumi grumpily stated from outside. Of course they needed to talk. But he didn't want to he didn't want to hear how much of an idiot he has been, to be reminded of his mistakes. But he didn't get a choice in the matter it seems as hands invaded his tent dragging him out. He looked down not wanting to look at her. He saw her scrunch up her fists on her knees as he felt her gaze but he didn't dare look into those beautiful amber eyes.
"Is the thought of being married to me really that unbearable?" she asked softly at the red frog, eyes now just focusing on her hands that she squeezed tightly into fists.
"N-natsumi, where did you get that idea?" he asked worriedly, had he ruined it so bad that it made Natsumi hate him? She's got to see I do it all for her. "I'm happy to be married to you"
"Then why do you keep trying to destroy yourself! I feel like i've lost a friend Giroro, you keep overworking yourself and the mind-control stuff yesterday. Kururu said it was your idea!"she shouted accusingly.
"I-" he swallowed the lump in his throat as sweat beaded down his face. "I, I was trying to make myself better for you" he growled pulling his head down with his arms and scrunching up his face. Her eyes, no matter how shortly he looked at them pierced in to his heart. It was like he was on trial.
"Better? I don't want 'better' I want you for who you are, you stupid frog! I want the guy who roasts sweet potatoes with me, the man who saved me from Keroros dumb plans. The one who waits on these steps and greets me every morning. Your my best friend and I feel like i'm the cause of all your misery. So be honest with me are you doing this for your duty or because you want to help the Earth?" she demanded an answer gripping the frogs shoulders tightly.
He felt sick in the stomach as he looked into those sad eyes that burned into his soul. "You want the truth? Fine, the truth is you have ruined my life!" he shouted at her he felt the butterflies in his stomach die and her face broke his heart but it was the truth this woman had made a once proud solider weak in the knees. Made him disobey orders. Made him sabotage his own mission. This woman has ruined him and he couldn't be happier.
"you've ruined my life for the better, You and this damn planet, I wanted nothing more then to invade this planet to get the fame and glory. But then I met you. And suddenly I found myself second guessing, till I never even bothered to question it. I will happily fight by your side through thick and thin and to help you protect this planet." he scratched the back of his head looking away shyly "This wedding has caught me by surprise and I grew worried about how to be the best husband for you I could be"
"I can tell you the answer to that" she said with a soft smile pulling him into a tight hug "just be yourself. We're already friends no need to change yourself, if I have to get married to any of you stupid frogs i'm glad it's you" she beamed. He felt so shunned by the sweetness he must have been blushing like mad.
Aki poked through the side door "Hey Giroro do you think you and Keroro can hide your selves for a bit, i'm having a guest over"
that was odd, Aki had never brought anyone over before but he complied "Of course, if you need us we'll be in the base." he left in his head he couldn't help but think who this mysterious visitor was.
The doorbell soon rang and Aki speed walked to the door with a smile "Haru, nice to see you've made it home safely!" she exclaimed with a hug.
"D-dad?" Natsumi said in surprise at the pink haired man.
"Oh look how you've grown!" he held his hands out and she ran into his arms.
"I've missed you" she said with excitement.
"I've missed you too Natsumi"
"Is that?" a voice from the stairs took there attention Natsumi broke out of her hug giving Fuyuki full view. The boy sprinted down the stairs jumping into his fathers arms.
"I've missed you as well fuyuki" his father hugged him tightly.
"I have so much to tell you!" the raven haired exclaimed excitedly.
"I'd love to hear it, but first let's sit down" they made the way to the couch he rolled and carried his bags inside. "ah it hasn't changed one bit since I was last here, that must have been several years ago." he zipped open his bag "First things first gifts!"
"Fuyuki I'd like to give you something very special to me" he held out a book "This is a copy of my life's work, I've spent my life travelling around the world in search of secrets beyond our understanding" he said cheerfully.
"Oh so cool!" Fuyuki replied taking the book happily. Little did his dad know Fuyki has probably had more alien and Cryptid sightings in the last 6 years and he had in a lifetime but he didn't need to know that.
"And Natsumi this was your grandmothers I figure since your getting married, now would be a good time to give it to you" he handed her a beautiful necklace made of gold and amber jewels.
"Thank you, I love it! So beautiful!" she cheered.
"Now Aki you said there was something I had to see in person?" he asked turning to his wife.
"Natsumi, Fuyuki could you go get them?" the mother asked.
They walked to the base, this was going to end up interesting, how do you introduce an alien to your dad. The frogs were going to embarrass them and she knew it.
"Hey sarge, guess what our dad's here!" Fuyuki beamed "Mum says you guys can meet him" Keroro jumped up on Fuyuki's shoulders.
"Oooh how exciting, I can't wait to meet father Hinata" he verbalised. Though Giroro was worried deep down, Natsumi's father could only be a mighty warrior like her in his mind, he would no doubt be judged for his worth. He would impress this man and get his blessing he vowed in his head.
Natsumi watched as the boy with the frog on his shoulders run ahead she looked cheekily over at the red one "Do you want a lift too?" He blushed, it seemed so childish and humiliating. He was about to say no but she grabbed him. "You took to long to answer" she teased as she ran with him towards the other two "Oi i'll race ya" she stated. Giroro griped onto the pekoponian's shoulders tightly in his embarrassed state, he hadn't had much of a practice riding on pekoponian shoulders then his Sargent. Because he was actually trying to take the invasion seriously.
"Oh no fair your a better runner" fuyuki cried as he ran after her poorly.
"Come on Fuyuki! You can do it!" Keroro cheered! But he knew full well the human would fail.
Natsumi ran fast with the little guy clinging to her, he needed to learn to have a bit of fun. She wondered how far back Fuyuki was she looked. He had already slowed down to a weak walk it was barely a few meters.
Keroro patted his back "you tried" and the two shared a laugh as they walked.
"ha an easy victory" Natsumi laughed. "Seriously Fuyuki how are you tired already?"
"I- I J-just don't l-like to run" he huffed trying to catch his breath "You know I suck at sports"
"I know I'm just teasing you" she chuckled.
"looking good Corporal" Keroro winked and gave a thumbs up to the red one that roosted on her shoulders he just blushed. They reached the outside of the fridge in Keroro's room. This was it, just up that ladder and there dad would learn about the aliens. They walked into the room Natsumi felt her heart race in uncertainty of his reaction.
"A-are those?" he looked down at them eyes in disbelief.
"Yep these are Keroro and Giroro, they are Aliens dad, real life aliens" Fuyuki beamed.
"Unbelievable, Aliens in our house" he was flabbergasted.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Himata sir" Keroro stated with a salute his subordinate followed as a sign of respect.
"This is so cool! I always knew Aliens existed!" his father exclaimed elated. "You have to tell me what your home planet is like, what do you do, what do you eat!" the sparkles lit up his eyes as the two stood equally flabbergasted at his reaction, this guy was another Fuyuki.
"Haru, before you get carried away I think you should know that Giroro is Natsumi's Fiance" Aki stated.
"We are getting married for a peace treaty with their planet" Natsumi explained in an attempt to make it less weird.
"This is so awesome, my little girl is getting married to an alien" he hugged her "Your going to go down in the history books." how giddy the man was kind of throw Giroro off. The man looked away from his daughter to the short keronian who stiffened at eye contact. "How rude of me, I'm Haru, it's nice to meet you Giroro" he bowed respectfully at him.
Giroro briefly panicked before remembering to bow in return "likewise" he replied.
Keroro jumped in "It's an honour sir, oooh we should celebrate on your return! Yes sir" he beamed.
"I'm excited to see what aliens do to celebrate" he enthused. Natsumi dreaded whatever that would be, knowing all the crazy things they have been through, god only know what new crazy thing they would come up with.
