It had been a month since Alexandria and John had spoken to each other. She missed him. She didn't know it but he missed her to. So she wouldn't be tempted to talk to him, she immediately deleted his number from her phone. Alexandria was at a hotel in Michigan. She'd just gotten off work. Her cell phone started to ring.
"Hello?" She said.
"Hi." Ann said.
"Hi."
"How are you doing?"
"I'm ok."
"How was work?"
"You know, the usual."
"Alexandria why don't you just call John."
"I don't want to talk to John."
"Yes you do." "It's obvious that you miss him."
"Even if I did, not that it matters."
"Yes it does matter."
"John and I were never anything, just friends." "Now we're not." "That's all." "I don't want to talk about it anymore."
"Ok."
That night John was asleep. He woke up shocked at who he saw looking at him. It was Sherri. She looked normal. It seemed like she was really there but John knew it had to be a dream, or a nightmare.
"No more nightmares." John said out loud. "Please no more."
"It's ok honey." She said. "It's alright, it's just me." "John you need to stop blaming yourself for what happened to me."
"I can't."
"Yes you can." "You didn't do anything baby."
"Right." "I didn't protect you." "You should still be alive, you're not, because of me."
"There was nothing you could've done." "If you were there he would've killed us both."
"I would've rather had him kill me."
"You know I don't blame you right?" "I never have."
"I know." "I just wish you were here."
"I know." "We need to talk about something else to." "You know that I want you to move on with your life." "I want you to be happy John."
"I can't be happy without you."
"I know Alexandria makes you happy."
"Sherri I can't be with anyone else, I love you."
"I love you too John I always will but I'm gone." "You're not." "You still have life to live." "Do you love Alexandria?" He didn't say anything. "I think I know the answer and it's ok." "I have to go now." "Please think about what I said."
"No, please don't leave me." He pleaded.
John woke up and looked around. He was alone. He didn't know if what he experienced was real or a dream.
Three days later Alexandria was in LA. She was at an outdoor shop. It was a high tourist spot. She was looking at fruits.
"Alexandria?" A man said with a British accent.
She knew that voice and turned around. "Landon." She said shocked.
