The way back to Paris was pretty silent. Cerise and Tony clamped hands as with Gemini and Rafael. Francois looked out of the window. The sun was close to setting.
"What time is it?" Gemini asked. Rafael looked at his watch.
"4:30…" Rafael cringed
"Oh man we're in deep trouble, Our parents are going to kill us…" Francois mumbled.
Cerise looked at the window in her reflection and her eyes went from hazel to pitch black and back again. Cerise had a look of horror.
"Are you kidding me...Have you met my mom's bad side...She's deadly" Gemini argued with Francois.
"Guys, I think we have worse problems…" Tony murmured looking at Cerise.
The other 3 kids turned to Cerise whose eyes did the same thing in front of them
"We gotta get her home, no one can see her…" Francois said.
"We're almost there Cerise, Can you hold on a little longer?" Tony asked his crush, holding her hands.
"I'll try-" then Cerise started to grow her ears, shocking her friends. Tony placed his large beanie on top of her head. Cerise gently thanked him
"Last Stop, Paris…" the intercom said.
"Oh merci mon Dieu…" Francois whispered.
Meanwhile, back at La Ratatouille, Alfredo was on the phone with a worried Colette holding Renee and Auggie.
"Thank you for calling…." Alfredo hung up the phone and turned to his wife and twins. "Cerise hasn't even BEEN at school today…"
Then Gemini's parents came in along with their 3 boys. "Hey have you guys seen Gemini?"
"No...We just got off the phone with the school and Cerise hasn't been there…" Colette told Pisces(Gemini's mom)
"We just got off the phone with the school too…" Gemini's father said.
"She hasn't been there neither…" Pisces explained
"We figured She'd be here with Cerise and that Rafael…" Gemini's father added.
On cue, Rafael, Tony, and Francois' parents arrived at the restaurant.
"We haven't seen Rafael either, He hasn't come home…" Rafael's father
"Neither has Francois…" Francois' mother added
"I just hope that the kids are alright…" Tony's mother spoke
"Don't you worry, We called the police to tell them if you see them, bring them to the restaurant…" Rafael's mother told Tony's worried mother
Then the 5 kids finally got off the train and started to walk quickly. Cerise glanced at her hands and saw that red fur started to show.
"Don't worry, We just gotta get you home and we're all home free…" Tony comforted Cerise.
"Yeah but what about our parents...I'm sure they're bawling their eyes out by now…" Francois asked sarcastically
"Then We call them and tell them where we were...and tell them the truth…" Cerise suggested
"News flash Cerise, they're not going to believe us…" Francois replied.
"Never know unless we try…." Gemini breathed.
They walked to the next payphone. They all voted for Rafael to make that call to the restaurant. Rafael took a deep breath and dialed the number to the restaurant and held the phone to his tan ear.
"Hello," he squeaked. Then he pulled the phone away from his ear when he heard yelling, making the rest of the kids cringe. Rafael turned to them and mouthed They're pissed
"Uh...we-we were actually on our way back and-and uh...From London…" then more yells came from the phone
"Uh-huh….Yes…." then Rafael suddenly hung up the phone. He had his hands to his lips and sighed through his nose
"What happened, man…" Francois asked. Rafael didn't say anything
"Babe, tell me what happened…" Gemini asked him then the Indian boy buried his face into his hands and groaned.
"They called the police on us...and told us when we get to the restaurant we're all in trouble," he said quickly
"THE POLICE?!" then on cue the police sirens went off heading towards them
"Crap," Francois said.
"Run run run…" then the kids took off in full speed, Cerise and Tony holding hands as with Gemini and Rafael. Cerise saw that she was slowly transforming into a wererat, looking at her furry hands and seeing her whiskers and her nose slowly changing.
"Guys look…" Francois pointed to two motorcycles. They stole them and Francois stole a scooter and they rode off from the police.
Cerise held onto Tony and Gemini held onto Rafael. Cerise felt Tony's hat falling off her head and she covered her new ears with her sweater and scarf
"Hold on Cerise…" Tony called to her.
"Don't tell me twice…" Cerise held onto his waist. Then Cerise felt something growing out of her. She turned around to find that she was growing a tail
"Tony...I got a tail…" Cerise warned.
"Okay okay...Just don't look at the moon okay…" Tony comforted. Gemini looked back and the moon was almost fully rising…
"We gotta hurry…" Gemini called.
They arrived back at the restaurant but they didn't go inside.
"What are we going to do?" Tony asked.
"I don't know…" Gemini was panicking.
"Let's just tell them the truth...Lying would just make it worse...Do you guys still have the wolfsbane…" Cerise asked. Francois and Rafael nodded, holding the bouquet. They all took a deep breath and then they all slowly walk into the restaurant
"There you guys are?!" Linguini called. He, Colette, and the other parents came out to greet their children.
"You guys better have a good explanation for this!" Pisces added.
"Yes, we do…" Rafael told them
"Let's hear it" Colette crossed her arms.
"Cerise is a wererat and we went to London to try and cure her…" They all said. Then a small squeak came out and Cerise covered her mouth.
"It's true Mama…" Auggie stepped in to defend his sister along with the other little kids.
"A large red rat saved us from a big bad black rat…" Georgie added.
"Are you sure?" Colette asked. Cerise slowly stepped to her mother and took off the scarf, revealing her new ears, nose, and whiskers. She showed her mother her red furry hands and pulled her tail.
"Oh Mon Dieu...What has happened to my child…." Colette nearly shrieked.
The other parents were in shock, seeing Cerise's new appearance. Then Cerise turned around to look at the full moon. Tony and Gemini knew what this meant.
"Cerise, don't look at the moon…" then Cerise's transformation began to grow rapidly. Red fur showed all over her body and she started to grow in size. Her clothes were ripped to shreds and finally, she was transformed from a young teenage girl to a large red wererat.
Everyone was shocked to see her new appearance. Cerise then crept closer to her adoptive parents.
"Get away Get away…" Linguini hid behind Colette.
"Daddy it's Cerise…" Auggie said. He bravely went up to the large red rat and the rat bowed down to him. Renee joined her brother and when the twins petted it, the rat bruxed happily and was calm the whole time. Alfredo and Colette then started to believe their twins and joined them
"Cerise…" Alfredo spoke softly, petting her nose. "Whatever happened to you...I promise we will fix it…" then Cerise turned away sharply, ears perked up as if she heard something. Then she angrily bruxed; she heard squeaking coming this way and she didn't like it.
The others looked in the direction she was looking at and they didn't like this either.
"Alfredo...Get the children back inside" Colette roughly ordered. Alfredo ushered the children back inside. The rats in the restaurant peered down.
"Hey, I don't like the looks of this…" Django whispered to the other rats.
"Django Look…" a rat pointed. Then they spotted the large black rat coming towards the restaurant.
"What in the name of…" then Avalon and Remy rushed over to see it too and the red rat.
"Is that red rat….Cerise…" Remy asked. Avalon nodded. "Zat bite did it to her…"
Cerise kept her arms back to protect her friends as the rat began to approach her.
The rat had these angry black eyes as he bruxed at her.
"Bring it…" Cerise spoke in a monstrous voice. Her friends and family were shocked that she can speak. Then the rat lunged at her and she rammed him in the gut, knocking him backward. It luckily bought Gemini, Tony, Rafael, and Francois time to hide in the restaurant. Then the black rat charge and bit her on the shoulder, making her squeal.
"CERISE…" Tony screamed. Then the black rat began to charge at the restaurant. The customers shut their eyes, bracing for the impact...until Cerise knocked him on his side, knocking over a bunch of cars. When the black rat got up, Cerise charged and bit at his rear, making the rat grit his teeth in pain. Then Cerise began to run with the black rat chasing after her. The people at the restaurant rose from their tables.
"Wait wait...Where is she going?" Colette asked.
"She's leading the rat away from the restaurant…" Anton answered. Then Francois had a look of horror.
"She's leading it to the city...Come on…" Tony began to leave until His mother grabbed his hand.
"I won't let you...It's too dangerous…"
"Mom, This is Cerise...She's not going to hurt me…"
"We're going with you…" Gemini, Rafael, and Francois added. She brought out the bouquet.
"You know we're coming" Linguini and Colette. " Anton...Can you watch the restaurant?" Anton nodded. Then the groups took off.
The rat's battle continued to the city with Tony, Gemini, Rafael, Cerise's adoptive parents, and the police in pursuit. Their battle gained several folks' attention and scaring everyone around causing them to find the nearest place for safety. The rats wrestled each other in the streets terrifying the citizens. The police had their guns out ready to shoot.
"DON'T SHOOT…." Linguini shouted. " DON'T Shoot…." He waved his lanky arms at the police.
The kids see him doing this and they ran towards the rats who were now wrestling on the curb. Cerise was being overpowered by the black rat and he tried to bite her again.
"We gotta distract it…." Tony said, "HEY YOU BIG MOUSE, COME AND GET ME….." Tony got his 3 friends to scream at the rat too
"OVER HERE…." Gemini screamed. The rat drew its attention off of Cerise and raced towards the kids who then motorcycle away. Cerise then ran after them, not knowing what they were doing.
"Black rat gaining…" Rafael warned seeing it gain speed.
"Wolfsbane will take him down…" Francois shouted. The rat then tripped Francois and Tony off of the motorcycle. Francois was still holding the wolfsbane bouquets in his hands when the black rat started to slowly move for the kill. Cerise rushed to their aid and bit the black rat on the neck. Then the rat moved in to attack her. Tony looked around for a weapon and found a chair nearby.
The black rat tried to bite Cerise's neck until Tony swung the chair at the black rat trying to hit him with everything he had. The rat's tail swung at Tony, knocking him on the wall.
"NOOO…" Cerise yelled. This incited her to Bite the rat, shake him like a rag doll, and threw him on the bridge. When Cerise looked up, it was the same bridge she killed her father on. Then light shined on her back. She noticed that the sun was about to rise. She ran and got the wolfsbane from Francois and Ran towards the black rat to get him to smell the flowers. He just growled at her.
"Hurry before you're stuck like this," She said. The rat looked at her and the flowers and began to stand and slowly sniff them. Cerise sniffed them too.
When the sun fully rose, they both turn back into humans. Cerise was face to face with a small man with tan skin, black hair, hazel eyes, and a small mustache.
He stumbled a little bit and fell unconscious. Cerise was about to fall too until Tony caught her in his arms
"Cerise...Are you okay?" He asked her
"Yes...the wolfsbane did the trick…" Cerise whispered
"CERISE…" Colette and Linguini rushed to their adoptive daughter and embrace her. Then Linguini stepped back with red cheeks and Colette stepped back too.
"Oh, I got this…" Tony whispered. He was wearing a large coat and he gave it to Cerise to cover herself up. Colette looked at the name and recognized him.
"Alfredo...Come" Alfredo came to her side and he too recognized the man
"Skinner...How-how did he get like this…"
"I don't know...All I know is that He hurt our daughter…" Colette was about to rush in and attack him for hurting Cerise until She heard her hiss in pain.
Cerise trembled around and Tony and Francois tried to help her out. Gemini held onto Rafael in fear.
"I'll-I'll be okay" Cerise mumbled.
"We need to take you home….Thank you tony for lending her your jacket…"
"Your welcome…" Before they left Tony cleared his throat "Is it okay if I see Cerise tomorrow, I need to tell her something important."
They gave him permission. Cerise just looked back at her friends as she left that sacred bridge and went home with her family.
The next day came and Tony came as promised. Alfredo let him in the apartment and Tony had a bouquet of flowers, pink ones.
"It took a lot of convincing and begging for my parents to let me see her…"
"She's in her room...She's still healing from the attack…"
"I won't be long…" then Colette came with the twins.
"You have 10 minutes, a minute later and I'll call the police…" Colette warned him.
"Yes, Ms. Linguini…" Tony bowed to her and slowly walked up the steps to Cerise's room. He turned to see her in bed. Bandages were wrapped around her and she was surrounded by blankets. She woke up to see him standing there.
"Hi, Tony…" Cerise said weakly.
"Hi…"
"Nice of you to bring flowers…"
"Well, I had to...Gemini, Francois, and Rafael couldn't come...They're grounded, and the funny thing is... I am too…"
"I'm grounded too...I'm guessing you had to beg to see me…" Cerise weakly chuckled.
"Lots and lots of begging…" then the teens grew silent.
"Do you remember the day at the lockers...You were trying to say something...about…"
"Oh, That day…"
"And on the train…"
"Well I uh" Tony stammered
"Tony...I-I-I love you too: Cerise smiled. Tony smiled as well. He walked closer to Cerise and began to lean down and slowly but surely, his lips met hers. Their kiss was like magic. Everything disappeared around them. After they released each other from the kiss, Tony's light blue eyes met Cerise ones. Time slowed down around them and noises were blocked out. The only ones that had the spotlight were Cerise and Tony
"I-I-I'm sorry...I" Tony spoke breaking the silence, blushing.
"No-No it's okay" Cerise whispered. Tony then placed his hand onto hers When She cupped his cheek. Their hearts beat louder and Cerise's face grew red along with Tonys's. The moment ended when Colette knocked on the door. The two teens turned to see her. Tony turned back to his and kissed her hand and her cheek before he left.
Auggie and Renee smiled at each other, seeing their sister and Tony finally getting a kiss.
"Tony…" Tony turned to Colette. "You can date Cerise, As long as you treat her right,"
Tony grinned at this. "I will never hurt Cerise...I will treat her like a princess…"
"More than That….A queen…" Renee added.
"Well fair Renata, I will do just that…" Tony booped her nose.
Cerise overheard everything. She just smiled and closed her eyes.
