Abhijeet smiled with the thought and went to prepare lunch. After some time Daya woke up. He smelled something familiar.
Daya : ( thinking )
Ye itni acchi khushboo kaha se aa rahi hai ?
He got up and got the smell coming from kitchen. He went inside kitchen and found Abhijeet preparing the dish whereas Abhijeet saw Daya at the entrance of kitchen.
Abhijeet : Uth gaye tum. Ruko mai pani deta hu.
Daya : Nahi sir. Iski jarurat nahi hai.
Abhijeet : Kuch chahiyiye tumhe ?
Daya : Nahi sir. Wo kitchen se khusboo aa rahi thi isliye dekhne chala aaya.
Abhijeet : Dekhna ho gaya tumhara ?
Daya : Jee.
Abhijeet : To phir bahar jakar baitho.
Daya started to leave. While he was leaving, Abhijeet asked " tumne kuch dekha to nahi na ? "
Daya : Nahi sir.
Abhijeet : Theek hai. Ab tum ja sakte ho.
Daya went from there.
Daya : ( thinking )

Abhijeet came out from kitchen and called " Daya. Aao jao lunch karne. "
Daya came on dining and found all food placed on it whereas Abhijeet started serving dishes in his plate. Daya found almost his favorite dishes in his plate. Before he could say something or react to it, Abhijeet said " Jyada khush hone ki jarurat nahi hai. Ye sab mere bhai ke favorite cheezein hai. Mai chahta hu ki har ek cheez perfect ho. Daya : ( thinking )

Daya started eating.

Daya : ( in a flow ) Aaj se pahle se kisi ne itne apne pan se mere liye kuch kiya nahi na. Bas isiliye.
Abhijeet : ( thinking )

He was searching for Daya when saw something. He saw Daya playing with the kids.

Isse in baachon ke saath dekhkar kitna accha lag raha hai.
He sat on the bench nearby and looking at their play. At the same time a ball came near Abhijeet ' s feet.
Daya : ( to kids ) Tum logo ruko. Mai lekar aata hu ball.
He went in the direction where he saw ball.
Daya, putting his hand on backside of his head said " Yahi par to thi ball. "
He turned and saw a pair of hands holding ball.
Abhijeet : Shayad tum ye chahiye.
Daya : Ha.
He looked up and found Abhijeet who was holding the ball.
Daya : Abhijeet sir aap. Wo khabri se milne gaye the.
Abhijeet : Ha lekin kisi wajah se wo yaha nahi aa payega.
Daya : Ok sir.
At the same time a boy came and tucked Daya 's pant. Daya bend down.
Daya : Kya hua beta ?
Boy : Uncle chaliye na. Sab intezar kar rahe hai.

Daya realized what he said. He bit his tongue.
Daya : Sorry sir. Wo mai kehna chah raha tha ki Raj ko aapko aise nahi lekar nahi jaana chahiye.

Daya looked at him in amazement.

Both of them went to house.
Days started to pass. A bond started to develop between the two.
It was evening time when Daya told Abhijeet that he wanted to say something important to him. So Abhijeet went inside his room.

Daya : Aap kal se bureau ja rahe hai.
Abhijeet : Mai tumhe akele ghar par rehne nahi dunga.
Daya : Aap kal se bureau join kar rahe hai. Bas.
Abhijeet : Par tumhari tabiyat abhi theek nahi hai.
Daya : Mai ab theek hu.
Abhijeet : Agar tumhe kisi cheez ki jarurat padi to ?
Daya : Mai aapko bol dunga.
Abhijeet : Lekin Daya tum akele ghar me.
Daya : Abhijeet kitne din ho gaye aapne bureau join nahi kiya.
Abhijeet : Ha to kya hua.

Abhijeet tried once again and said " Daya suno na. "
Daya turned his face towards other side.
Abhijeet took out his phone and dialled Acp pradyuman ' s no.
Abhijeet : Hello sir.
Ha sir. Wo bhi thik hai.
Mai kalse bureau join karna chahta hu.
Jee sir. Usi ne bola hai. Join karne ke liye.

Daya left from room. Abhijeet went to prepare dinner for both of them. He specially made desert for him. After he was done, in a loud tone said " Maine dinner laga diya hai. "
Daya came on dining. The dinner went in silence. Daya was about to get up from the table as he was finished with his food.
Abhijeet : Ruko. Baith jao.
Daya sat back on the chair.
Abhijeet placed a desert bowl in front of him. Daya just flung to hug him. He gave him punches.
Daya : Aap. Iska matlab sab natak.
Abhijeet : Hmm. Is baar to chod diya. Agli baar aisa kiya na to dekhna.

Daya : Hmm.
Abhijeet bid to Daya and went to bureau. Everyone was asking to him about Daya ' s health. He assured everyone about Daya and resumed his work. All of them went back to their homes after having a tough chase.
Abhijeet didn ' t pressed the bell, he opened the door with his own key.
Abhijeet : Pata nahi Daya kya kar raha hoga ?
He went inside his room and found him sleeping. He checked the food and found it as it is also medicines were there untouched.
Abhijeet : Ye ladka bhi na.
He woke Daya.
Abhijeet : Daya utho.
Daya woke up. He saw Abhijeet in front of him.
Daya : ( murmuring )
Lagta hai aaj daant padne wali hai.
Abhijeet : Kya hai ye sab ?
Daya : Kya ?
Abhijeet : Jyada bhole banne ki koshish mat karo. Lunch kiya ? Nahi.
Medicines li ? Nahi.
Koi jawab hai tumhare pass ?
Daya : Wo actually aapke jaane ke baad mai book padh raha tha. To padhte padhte pata nahi kab neend lag gayi.
Abhijeet : Bohot acche. Ab jao aur jakar fresh ho kar aao. Mai kuch banata hu tumhare liye.
Daya came back after freshening himself and went inside kitchen as he saw Abhijeet preparing something.
Daya : Layiye mai madat kar deta hu.
Abhijeet : Koi jarurat nahi hai. Mai kar raha hu. Tum bas jakar baith jao.
Daya stayed there. Abhijeet was going to pick spatula but a gasp escaped from his mouth. Daya went near him and tried to hold his hand but Abhijeet jerked his hand.
Abhijeet : Kaha na maine jao baitho.
Daya : Nahi.
He stubbornly hold Abhijeet ' s hand and found a bandage on his palm.
Daya : Ye kaise hua ?
Abhijeet : Wo aaj raid ke liye gaye the tab chaku lag gaya.
Daya : What ! Chaku laga hai aur aap yaha khana bana rahe hai. Chaliye ayiye mere saath.
He found the bandage already red because of the pressure. He changed the bandage and said " Khabardar yaha se uthne ki koshish ki to. "
Abhijeet : Tumhari tabiyat thik hai. Tum rehne do. Mai karta hu na.
Daya : Maine aapse kuch pucha. Nahi na.
Abhijeet : Thik hai lekin ek shart par jo aaj hua hai wo nahi hona chahiye.
Daya : Nahi hoga.
He resumed the incomplete task of Abhijeet. Both of them were now in balcony chatting causally having cup of coffee in their hands.
Abhijeet : Daya tumhara parso appointment hai doctor ke saath.
Daya : Yaad hai mujhe. Waise bhi abhi bilkul theek hu.
Abhijeet : Ye tumhari jagah doctor bol de to maan lunga.
Daya : Tum bhi na. abhijeet.
He remembered a night which both of them spent together and which changed their lives.
( Flashback start )
Abhijeet : ( in a straight tone ) Daya mujhe tumhe kuch kehna hai.
Daya : Kya sir ?
Abhijeet : Pahle promise karo ki tum apne aap ko aur takleef nahi doge.
Daya : Promise.
Abhijeet : Daya mai tumse maafi maangna chahta hu. Mujhe maaf kar do.
Daya : Sir aap ye.
Abhijeet : Aaj mujhe mat roko. Badi himmat karke bol raha hu mai.
Ha Daya mujhe maaf kar do. Mujhe sach me pata nahi tha ki tumhara koi nahi hai. Mai baar baar tumhe tumhare family ke baare me puchta raha. Sachai se waqif nahi tha mai.
Ye baat to tumhe bhi pata hai ki mujhe tumhare behen ke baare me sab kuch pata hai. Tum yahi soch rahe honge na mujhe is baare kaise pata ?

Daya gave a silent node.
Abhijeet : Mai bas itna kehna chahta hu kiAgar mera koi bhai hota to bilkul tumhari tarah hota. Kya tum mere bhai banoge ?
Daya looked towards him in a shock.
Abhijeet : Hairan ho na. Ye sab sun kar. Mujhe bhi aisi hi hairani hui thi. Jab meri yaadaash gayi tab tumne mujhe aise sambhala jaise ek bhai dusre ko sambhalta hai. Ahsas to mujhe humesha se hi tha magar kabhi samjh me nahi aaya mere.Ha Daya. Yahi sacchai hai.

Jab doctor ne tumhare operation ke baare me bataya tab kahi na kahi mujhe dar lag raha tha.Sahi suna tumne mujhe dar lag raha tha. Tumhe khone ka dar. Us waqt mujhe ahsaas hua ki tum mere dil ke itne karib ho.
He took a pause and continued further as
"Mai ye nahi kahunga ki tum tumhari behen ko bhul jao ya kuch aur. Maine bas tumhe apne dil ki baat batayi hai. Tum mujhe kya maante ho ye to tum jaante ho. Par maine tumhe humesha apna bhai maana hai aur humesha manuga.
Mai jaanta hu tumhare liye ye sab kafi shocking hai. Tumhe waqt chahiye. Mai samjh sakta hu. Tumhe jitna waqt lena hai utna waqt le lena. Ek baat humesha yaad rakhna ki mai humesha tumhara intezar karunga. "

Daya went inside his room and started thinking about Abhijeet ' s words.

He came back in present.
Daya : ( thinking )
Waqt kitne jaldi chala jaata hai. Pata nahi chala ki ye senior junior wala rishta kab dosti me badal gaya aur kab bhai tak aa gaya.
( Ha sahi samjh rahe hai aap. ) Mai aapko bhai maanta hu sir. Bas kabhi bol nahi paya mai tumse.
Abhijeet saw Daya lost in thoughts. Abhijeet waived his hand in front of Daya.
Abhijeet : Daya kaha kho gaye tum ?
Daya : Kuch bhi to nahi.
Abhijeet : Chalo ab medicines le lo. Bohot time ho gaya.
Daya : Chahe kuch ho jaye tum medicines nahi chodoge na.
Abhijeet : Health ke baare me koi laparwahi nahi.
Daya : Ha le raha hu. Bureau me sab kaise hai ?
Abhijeet : Sab thik hai. Bas tumhare yaad nikal rahe the.
Daya : Bohot miss kar raha hu bureau ko.
Abhijeet put his hand on shoulder and said " Bas kuch hi dino ki baad hai. Tum phirse bureau join karoge.
Daya : Ha sahi kaha tumne.
Abhijeet : Mujhe jara kaam hai. Mai room me ja raha hu.
Abhijeet went inside his room and closed the door.
Abhijeet : ( thinking )
Tumhare saath rehkar waqt kitne jald chala gaya. Bas do din aur phir tum apne ghar par chale jaoge.
Akhir tum yaha rahoge bhi kyu. Kis haq se tum yaha rahoge ?
He became sad with the thought.
Abhijeet : ( thinking )
Shayad mujhe is baat ka faisla Daya par chod dena chahiye. Ab ye us par nirbhar karta hai ki wo yaha rehna chahta hai ya apne ghar.
( with a fresh thought )
Wo jo faisla le wo sahi. Lekin do din to mere saath hai. Mai ye do din uske saath khushi khushi bitaunga.
Abhijeet ' s voice could be heard as " Daya yaar chalo jaldi. "
Daya : Ha aa raha hu. Bas 5 minute.
Abhijeet : Mai gadi nikal raha hu. Tum aao.
Daya locked the door of Abhijeet ' s house and went outside. He found Abhijeet ready in quills. Both of them went to hospital.
The doctor checked Daya and declared him fine and he can join the duty from the next day.
Daya : Finally jaan chuti. Kya kehte ho tum ?
He looked towards Abhijeet who was driving but looking lost.
Daya : Abhijeet.
Abhijeet snapped out of his thoughts.
Daya : Kaha ho gaye tum ?
Abhijeet : Kuch nahi. Tum kuch keh rahe the.
Daya : Bas yahi ki hospital se bahar nikal kar kitna accha lag raha hai.
Abhijeet : Ha. Ye baat to hai.
Suddenly Abhijeet halted the quills.
Daya : Ye kya hua gadi kyu rok di ?
Abhijeet : Saamne dekho.
Daya looked up and found restaurant in front.
Abhijeet : Ab chaloge bhi andar.
Both of them had lunch and went back to home. Daya was searching for his clothes as he found the cupboard empty.
Daya : Abhijeet.
Abhijeet : Kya hua Daya ? Kyu chilla rahe ho ?
Daya : Mere kapde dikhayi nahi de rahe hai.
Abhijeet : Ha to pahle bolna chahiye tha na.
Abhijeet took out a bag from the bottom of bed and showed it to him.
Daya : Ye sab ?
Abhijeet : Ha ab kal tum ghar jaoge na. Isliye nikal kar rakhe hai kapde bag me. Filhal tum is me se nikal lo.
Daya : Mai nikalta hu kapde.
Abhijeet went from there.
Daya : ( thinking )
Ye Abhijeet ko kya ho gaya. Mujhe laga ki wo mujhe rokega. Lekin usne to meri packing pahle se kar di hai.
Agar Abhijeet nahi chahta ki mai yaha par ruko to mai bhi apne ghar chal jaunga.
The next day Abhijeet dropped Daya at his house.
Abhijeet : Accha Daya ab mai chalta hu. Khayal rakhna.
Daya also bid him.
Abhijeet went back to his house. He then went to bureau. At night he came back home. He found the lights of house off. He knocked the door.
Abhijeet : Daya darwaza kholo.
At the same moment , he realized that Daya is not at his house. He opened the door by himself and switched on the lights and settled himself on sofa and closed his eyes.
At the same time he heard a voice as " Aa gaye boss. Kafi thake hue lag rahe ho. Ruko tumhare sar ki malish kar deta hu mai. "
Abhijeet : Tumhare haathon me jadu hai. Bohot accha lag raha hai.
A voice echoed as " Chalo ab jaldi se change karke aao. Aise hi baitho ho sofe par. "
Abhijeet : ( with closed eyes )
Ha ja raha hu.
He opened his eyes and saw no one except him there. He went inside his room and changed his clothes. He felt like to do nothing. He went inside Daya ' s room and took his pillow near his heart.
Abhijeet : Daya wapas aa jao na. Mai tumhare bagair nahi reh sakta.
He hugged Daya ' s pillow and didn ' t know when he dozzed off. Someone entered inside the house and found the lights off of all the rooms except guest room. He went inside guest room and found Abhijeet sleeping.
Person : Ye Abhijeet bhi na. Aise hi so gaya.
He went prepared food for both of them and then came back again and started pressing Abhijeet ' s head.
Abhijeet : ( in sleep ) Thoda is taraf bhi.
The person started pressing his head in the other side as well.
Abhijeet : ( in sleep ) Bohot accha lag raha hai. Daya.
Abhijeet realized what he said. He woke up with a jerk and found Daya there.
Abhijeet : Lagta hai sapna hai. So jao. Daya yaha kyu aayega ? Wo to apne ghar me hoga is waqt.
Daya saw Abhijeet sleeping again.
Daya : Ye kya. Mai aaya hu aur tum so rahe ho.
Abhijeet rubbed his eyes and hold Daya ' s hand.
Abhijeet : Iska matlab tum sach me.
Daya : Ha sach me.
Abhijeet : Tum yaha ? Kuch chahiye tha kya ? Kuch reh gaya hai kya tumhara yaha ?
Mai abhi deta hu.
He got up to give things to Daya.
Daya : Ha reh gaya hai na. Meri sabse keemati cheez.
Abhijeet : Kya reh gaya hai yaha ?
Daya : Chalo mere saath dikhata hu.
He led Abhijeet to mirror and while pointing towards Abhijeet ' s reflection in mirror said " Yahi hai wo cheez. Jo mai yahi chod gaya tha. Doge na tum mujhe wo cheez wapas. " Both of them shared a hug.
