I am looking outside through the car window as Four is busy checking something in his phone and the driver is driving silently.
I am thinking about Caleb's words. Does Four really wants to harm me like Caleb told me? Is the Eaton family actually nice like they pretends to be or something else? But why? Why after six years Four came back to my life as Christina's fiance and ended up being my husband? Jesus this is so confusing.
I have to know what Markus and Four are up to. I look at him as he is still busy with his cell phone, behaving as if I am not even sitting next to him.
"Four?" I call his name.
He ignores me.
"Tobias?" I say a little louder.
Still no response. I have to do something else to get his attention.
"STOP THE CAR" I shout looking at the driver.
This caught Four's attention and he looks at me with an angry expression.
The driver stops the car and says" What happened Mrs. Eaton? Are you alright?" He asks worried.
"I am fine. Can you please give us some privacy? I want tell my husband something important." I request him.
"Sure Mrs. Eaton." He says and goes outside the car.
After the driver is gone I finally get the chance to ask Four about this wedding.
" Tris, I know you want to ask me about our sudden wedding. Trust me we'll talk after we reach home." Four says.
I laugh for a moment hearing the word Trust out of his mouth.
"Trust? You want me to trust you? I did trust you six years ago Four and that turned out to be the worst decision of my life. So I am not going to do the same mistake again. And I can't wait anymore. I want to know right now why the hell you didn't refused to marry me the moment you saw me dressed up as your bride?" I ask him.
He is again silently looking at me.
"Four I had enough of your silence okay. Just tell me why you didn't say no to marry me and behaved as if you were happy with this marriage?" I ask again.
" You could've done the same thing as well Tris. You could've also refused to marry me. But you didn't." He says accusing me.
"Oh please, your father literally blackmailed my dad for this marriage. Your father took advantage of our financial condition. If I said no to marry you, then my family would go bankrupt within this month. I didn't marry you by my own choice. But you on the other hand have married me willingly." I say angrily.
" I didn't marry you willingly Tris. I was also forced for this marriage just like you." He says.
" Really? Who forced you to marry me?" I ask.
" Markus Eaton." Four shouts angrily.
Markus? His own father forced him to marry me. As long as I remember Four hates his father the most in his life. He hates him so much that he even refused to take his father's name and he took his decreased mother's surname. He was Four Evelyn Johnson. And now he took his father's name Eaton and even married the girl Markus choose for him.
"I never wanted to marry either you or your sister Christina. It was never my choice to chose my life partner for me. He said if I didn't marry the girl he chose for me then..." he suddenly stops.
"Then what Four? Then what? Answer me." I shout at him.
"I can't tell you. I am sorry." He stutters.
I sigh, feeling frustrated with Four right now.
"Fine. Don't tell me. But don't expect me to behave like your wife. Because I don't accept this marriage and I will never consider you as my husband." I say.
"Fine. I will never force to be my wife. But we have to act like husband and wife in front Markus Eaton and your family." Four says.
" Why do you think I will do it?" I ask.
" Tris try to understand, its very important for me." he requests.
"How will I understand if you don't say anything to me and just expect me to do whatever you want?" I ask, giving him a death glare.
" Tris, I will tell you everything when the right time will come. Just so you know that someone's life is depending on this marriage. If we don't convince Markus and your family that we are happily married, then someone will die." Four says.
"I don't understand what you are saying. How can our marriage can be the reason for someone's death?" I ask.
"I will tell you everything Tris. Not right now. I know you hate me and don't accept this marriage. I have no problem with that. You can hate me all you want. I just need your help to save a life which is really important for me. I am begging you." Four says.
"Alright. I will help you. But I can't do this fake husband wife drama for the rest of my life. I want to file divorce and free myself from this so called marriage." I say looking at him.
"Fine. But you can't file divorce right now. If Markus knows this, he'll harm your family in the worst way possible. That's why please don't do anything that makes him angry. Otherwise, he will do something that won't be good for any of us." He says as a final warning.
I nod, knowing I don't have any better option right now.
At least I am happy he doesn't have any wife like expectations from me. That means it will be a little easy to act like his wife than I thought.
"And one more thinng." Four says.
"What?" I ask, raising my eyebrew.
"Don't call me Four in front of others. Everyone here knows me as Tobias Eaton. And I don't want Markus to know that we knew each other before our marriage. Don't let him know we were in a relationship." He says.
I nod at him.
Then Four calls the driver back. The driver starts the car and we start going to the Eaton mansion.
After we reach, I thought Markus might be here to welcome us. But Miss. Tori, one of the servants in the Eaton mansion says that Markus had gone to meet his girlfriend. Wow I didn't knew my father-in law is also dating someone at his old age.
"Tori please take Tris to my room. I will be there in a minute." Four orders her and goes to the hall room.
"Mrs. Eaton. Please this way." She says and I silently follow her upstairs.
As I am walking, I suddenly hear my phone's ringtone.
I pull out my phone from my purse to see who is calling me at this hour.
Its an unknown number.
"Hello, who is it?" I ask.
"Bea, its me Christina."
