FIFTEEN

"What do we do with this?" I ask.

"I have to tell Dad," Zane sits on the floor beside Edward's coffee table.

"You still haven't?" I raise my eyebrows shocked.

He shakes his head taking another bite of pizza. After Emmett had apologised for the punch the others had left leaving me with Edward and Zane. We'd ordered pizza and gotten comfortable in the lounge room to plan our next move.

"I wanted to see you first. To figure out a way that we can get him back to where he was," Zane says.

"What did she do with the money? Is it all gone?" I ask.

"I believe she stole it but kept her tracks covered. She hid the money," he says, "I think she broke i to dad's office."

"You have evidence of this?" Edward asks.

Edward sits beside me on the couch, gently rubbing my back.

"I have a voice recording of her admitting it. She also hid a bunch of cash in our nursery. Under the cot mattress," he says, "I came here to get our ducks in a row before we attack."

"I have to stay here for two weeks. I have college to finish." I say, "I'll come home and we can tackle this head on. Clear Dad's name. Then you can return to college. Finish business school and walk the path Dad paved for me."

"I don't know if I can," he shakes his head.

"Why not?" I shake my head.

"It seems like a waste now," Zane shrugs.

"I think it's never too late to start a new journey," Edward smiles at Zane.

"You know I have to thank you," Zane motions to Edward, "you've made her happy when she was here alone. When everything went south I thought about her being by herself. But she told me she had made a friend. I can see she's made much more than that."

"She's special," Edward smiles hugging me into his side, "I'm a lucky man."

"You are," Zane smiles at me, "she's one of a kind."

"Stop if you two," I laugh smacking Edward's knee, "it's late. I'm thinking I might get to bed."

"I better get back to the hotel," Zane huffs standing.

"Stay here," Edward insists, "you're welcome to have that room."

"I paid for the one at the hotel already. I might as well use it. Besides I have phone calls to make and I don't want to keep you guys awake," Zane says, "thank you for taking care of me after that blow to the head."

"Of course," Edward nods.

Zane engulfs me in a warm cuddle. I'm shocked at how emotional it makes me. Our family might be fucked but money aside, I'd be lost without them.

Surely enough two weeks fly by. Once my exams are sat Alice helps me pack my things, crying with each piece of clothing placed inside my case.

Edward had become overly affectionate, kissing me in the middle of sentences, holding my hand when he could. He was upset the day to head home had arrived so quickly.

My brother had stayed in New York planning to fly home with me. My father was furious with the news about Lucy. He had immediately taken legal action with Lucy and was now set to take aim at the company who had tried to buy him out.

He was awaiting for us to arrive home where Zane could explain everything Lucy had revealed to him.

My flight home is just hours away and it would be difficult. Saying goodbye to Edward would be awful. The thought alone had sent me to sleep crying in his arms after a passionate round of sex last night. The feeling of emptiness was seeping in like fog.

When I wake it's still dark outside, the New York night slowly fading to day. I check and see Edward sleeping peacefully beside me. Smiling sadly at his sleeping face I scoot out from under the covers racing to my overnight bag at the foot of the bed.

Finding what I need I move into the bathroom.

Prior to Zane, I had planned a romantic night for us. Candles, rose petals and wine were still in my bag. I just hadn't gotten around to setting up the whole thing. I wanted to leave him feeling as loved as I did when he looked at me. So when I left he counted not just the days but the seconds until he saw me again.

I undress and slip the deep navy lingerie on. Wiping the sleep and tears from my eyes, I brush my fingers through my hair until I look more alert. I smile at my reflection feeling confident and sexy. Two emotions I lacked before meeting Edward.

When I flick off the light to the bathroom Edward stirs. Smiling I near the bed pulling the sheets off his body standing beside his side of the bed. He doesn't open his eyes as he groans my name in a tired state.

"Baby," I whisper, "I already miss you so so much."

Edward doesn't open his eyes, trying to keep sleep contained behind his eyelids. Gigging I climb onto the bed. Once I've pushed him onto his back, I straddle his waist.

"I'm a little offended. I'm trying to give you something to remember me. Our numbered days have run out and this will be the time of day you can call me when I'm in Sydney," I lean down to whisper against his neck, right below his ear, "but by then we'll be stuck having phone sex, my vibrator the only way you can bring me pleasure. So right now you need to open your eyes and take advantage of me still being here."

His hands move up my thighs freezing when they feel the texture of my lingerie. The fabric sheer, the thong letting me press my bare ass against his unclothed lap.

"Baby girl," Edward croaks, sleep thick in his voice, "you did not wake up in the middle of the night to put lingerie on for me?"

"I couldn't sleep. I figured why let it go to waste?" I say, grinding myself into his already hardening member.

"Marry me," he laughs, opening his eyes, "actually never leave this apartment. Stay here and marry me. Naked always."

"While that offer sounds terrific I think we should focus on the right now. Like how right now I want you," I lay an opened mouthed kiss on his neck, "make love to me."

Wide awake now he flips us so I'm on my back, beneath him.

"It would be my honour, baby," he whispers, "I love you."

He takes his time stripping me bare, kissing and sucking sections of skin as they become exposed. I cherish the feel of his lips on my body.

He leaves me for a second to return with a condom over his dick. When he enters me I moan out, tears already gathering in my eyes.

"You're my world," he whispers arching over my body, so he can hold my face in his hands.

His forehead rests against mine as he begins to make deep, slow thrusts into my body. My gasps and moans are airy, pleasured.

"I love you so much," I moan, "I don't want to leave."

"I love you," he growls out, "you'll come back to me. Otherwise I will come get you myself."

"Don't stop," I wrap my legs around him pulling him deeper, "ever. Keep going forever."

"Baby, if I could I would," he says, placing kisses on my face, taking away my slow tears.

"Shit," I throw back my head as the pressure begins to send me undone, "I don't want to come. I don't want it to end."

"Come, Bella," he smiles at me sadly, "I want to see you in pleasure. Not heartbroken. But happy beneath me, making love to you. I won't let you get on that plane without having the mental image of you beneath me like this moaning out my name as you come. I want that image in my head until I see you next."

Before I can stop him he picks up the pace, thrusting fast into my tightening core. I scream out his name into the night as he brings me to my climax, only slowing down after his own.

"I love you," he whispers.

Wrapping my arms around his shoulders I pull him down on top of me, responding with 'I love you' with my body.

Out of everyone Alice held me the tightest, Emmett the longest. Rosalie cried into Emmett's chest, Jasper got me a neck pillow for the flight.

When it came to Edward's turn I broke.

"Hey," he holds me, the busy airport fading around us, "you'll be back in no time, lady bug. Go smash out that degree and come back to me. I'll need your help with this."

He holds out an envelope smiling through tears at me.

"Open it on the plane," he instructs, "I will be here waiting for you. Call me when you land and then again when you're at home."

"You could still squeeze into my suitcase," Zane jokes.

"His fat head wouldn't fit," Emmett jokes.

"We spoke about sensitivity," Rose elbows him.

"I'll take care of her Edward," Zane smiles holding his hand out.

Edward takes it, shaking it firm before turning back to me. He wraps his arms around me holding me tightly again. I lean up to kiss him one more time.

Once we're on the plane the sound of the Engine revving on the runway makes me cry. Zane holds my hand, squeezing as I watch New York disappear below us.

"What was in the envelope?" He asks.

"Oh," I sniffle.

I dig it out of my handbag opening it up.

"Shit," I gasp reading it.

A woman shoots my a dagger from the centre aisle.

"He officially listed me as an owner of Alice's. The bar I worked at with Alice. He changed the name and listed me down as the owner instead. He removed Emmett and himself because he bought a new bar in Vegas. The investors changed their mind," I shake my head in shock, "why would he do this? I don't understand."

"Because he wants you have purpose. Perhaps running your own business, something you are passionate about, is the purpose he sees in you," Zane smiles at me.

I'm pretty sure I spent just a few hours of the flight home not crying.

The next chapter will sadly be my last. I do have a new story in the works that I hope you'll join me for. Thank you so much for the support with this story.
