3 Weeks Later
Fuwa was doing better, he'd gotten the medical treatment and rest he desperately needed, he'd spent the first week after the fight doing nothing but sitting in a hospital room watching the TV, specifically the news regarding the aftermath of the attack on Hiden HQ.
Takahashi had been arrested, though Aruto had decided not to press any charges, he had still broken several laws so would need to face the consequences. Aruto was hopeful that the judge would be lenient as, apart from Fuwa, no one had been seriously injured in the fight. A few sprained arms and some bruised ribs were the most major injuries among the AIMs team.
Aruto had occasionally given an interview on his thoughts, he never showed any hate towards Takahashi for his actions, he only felt pity and regret that he hadn't learned about what happened to him sooner so he could get him the help he desperately needed.
He hoped that when he got out he'd be willing to come back to working for Hiden, a mind that brilliant could be so helpful to humanity's future.
The Seeds of Rebirth on the other hand were likely to go away for a long, long time, they were already on several most-wanted lists worldwide, so they weren't going to get much leniency. The news footage showed them sharing a cell and under heavy guard.
Work was already done on repairing all the damage and by the day after, Hiden's staff was back to work.
Yua had been sure to regularly check in on Fuwa, giving him someone to talk to during the recovery period and updates on how AIMs were moving on to other missions.
Jin & Horobi didn't stay in Japan long as they had quickly left on another journey, the quest to keep the Ark from reviving was a continuous one.
Gai had been quick to provide Fuwa with a new ShotRiser, this one built more durable than his last two to, hopefully, last 1000% longer.
Aruto and Izu eventually managed to figure out a workaround to Takahashi's locking of the Zero-One and Zero-Two Drivers, making sure that there weren't any other hidden backdoors into the system to lock them out in the future.
So in conclusion, things quickly settled back into a peaceful bliss as the world went back to business as usual, at least until the next threat emerged but that's a story for another time.
Once Fuwa had gotten the OK from his doctor, with warnings to keep it easy and avoid strenuous activity for a while, he was released from the hospital. Some small facial bandages were the only signs he'd been in a fight for the lives of him and his friend. His ribs were still not 100% but rest and time they'd heal.
With this event finally behind him, Fuwa decided there had been one thing in his life that he had held off for too long. During his time in the hospital, all Fuwa could think about was his family. What if he had died? What if he never got the chance to talk to them?
All these questions ran through his mind, to settle these thoughts, Fuwa had decided the first thing he'd do when he got out, would be to contact them.
He walked up to a home, it was a standard two-story house with a car in the driveway, nothing about it really stood out from its neighbors but to Fuwa, it was the most important building in the city.
He walked up holding a bouquet of flowers, an older woman was working on a small garden setup and didn't notice him until he rang the bell on their front gate.
Looking up, the woman at first seemed confused, she felt like she should recognize the bandaged man standing in front of her gate but there was no way he was who she thought she was...right?
She stood up and walked over, the closer she got the more sure she became. There was now no doubt in her mind, this was her son.
She could barely hold herself back as she rushed into a giant hug around Fuwa, a hug Fuwa accepted without resistance.
From the house, came an older man and a boy who looked to be in his mid-teens, Fuwa's father and brother. They were both confused as to what was happening until they saw the face of the man.
They had so many questions, questions that would be answered over a nice cup of tea as Fuwa was guided into the building by his family.
Finally, after so many years, so many battles, Fuwa was home.
Whatever problems, whatever new threats came up in the future, Fuwa would be sure to face them head-on as he always does. The world would always need Kamen Rider Vulcan, but for right now, Fuwa was content to let himself finally have a moment of rest and happiness.
Fuwa had finally found it, he found his peace, his happiness, and there wasn't a force on Earth that could take it away from him.
Because he was Isamu Fuwa.
He was Vulcan.
Kamen Rider Vulcan.
Epilogue END
Some other place, some other time
In a nearly pitch-black room, the only light was provided by a flickering lamp hanging above the center, in which stood a standard wooden table which had something on it that was covered in a black cloth blocking it from view.
The sound of footsteps became increasingly prevalent, getting louder and louder until a figure emerged.
They were covered head to toe in a black cloak that blocked any defining features from view, the cloak had made their emergence look like one of the room's many shadows had just walked into the light.
The figure walked up to the table and removed the black cloth to reveal the items underneath.
The first was an opened case, inside appeared to be a large number of keys, looking to be about 20, though it couldn't be made out if they were Progrise keys or Zetsumerise Keys as they were laying on their side.
Next to the case was an item of greater interest, it's bright red coloring making it obvious to anyone who saw it, it was a SlashRiser.
The figure then raised their hand, in it was another key, the Trapping Spider Key.
The same one that had been used by the Raider during the attack, apparently not destroyed by Valkyrie's blast.
The sight of the key was enough to put a wicked smile on the hooded figure's face, who then began to laugh, starting with a slight chuckle before devolving into a manic cackle that echoed through the walls of the darkroom.
The figure's voice came off as slightly distorted, like an audio file that had been corrupted. This being had a plan, and the whole world would soon know about it
Whether it wanted to or not!
