The days passed much the same as they did everyday. Get up, eat and report to training, eat lunch, train and sleep. Today was no different.

At around four in the morning loud banging woke them all up. Harmony covered her ears at the sudden loudness before sitting up. She could hear other initiates doing the same.

The light turned on and all the initiates flinched as their eyes weren't adjusted to the light. As their eyes cleared they saw Tris and Four standing there. Harmony tilted her head noting that they were in some kind of uniform.

"Everyone get up. We have something fun planned." Four said with a smirk. Tris looked equally as amused remembering the year prior when her initiate class took part in the Dauntless games.

"What will we be doing?" A groggy voice asked. One of the initiates who Harmony didnt know looked as tired as she sounded.

"Dauntless games." Tris answered. Her amusement deepened as the initiated perked up a bit even if it was more out of curiosity then anything else. "You have ten minutes to change and meet by the train tracks."

Tris and Four left. Most of the initiates scrambled to get ready. Harmony, who had already got dressed, put on her socks and shoes.

Naia looked at Harmony and raised a tired eyebrow. "You're already dressed?"

"Yeah. Cuts down on time."

Naia rolled her eyes and finished getting ready. She and Harmony left for the train tracks. She worried about Harmonys leg as the former Amity still walked with a limp.

Other initiates followed after they finished getting changed. They all eventually made it to the tracks.

Tris and Four were standing with Eric and other Dauntless members waiting for the train.

"When's the train coming?" Eric asked. Four gave him annoyed look.

"Are you never going to memorize the train schedule?"

"Why memorize it when you can just tell me?"

Four let out an annoyed breath as he checked his watch. "Five minutes."

"Get ready." Tris called to the initiates.

Five minutes later the train came speeding by and the Dauntless members and initiates began running alongside it jumping onto the train.

Four began to speak now. "We will be playing a game of Capture The Flag. Here at Dauntless we take these games seriously. I suggest you do the same."

Eric spoke up then, eyes eyeing each initiate. "If your team wins your ranking can increase. If you're low in rankings I reccomend you do everything you can to win. For some of you, your futures in Dauntless depend on it."

Harmony locked eyes with Eric, a determined look in them. She knew she was low on the ranking board. She'd lost every fight because her injured leg had been targeted every time.

Eric held up a rifle like gun. "These will be your weapons."

"He calls that a gun?" A cander transfer named Mara asked.

Tris had no reaction when Eric shot Mara in the leg. She'd expected it from when he shot Molly the year before. The neurostim dart did its job in simulating the pain of a real gunshot wound because Mara let out a cry of pain and slid down the wall of the train.

A snort escaped Harmony. She inwardly applauded Eric because she hated Mara. The former candor had constantly signaled her out when Harmony was still part of her home faction. Their fights often ended with Harmony being drugged with the peace serum.

Eric looked at Harmony briefly before he walked to Mara and plucked the neurostim dart out of her leg ending the pain signals. He held the dart up so that everyone could see it. "Neurostim dart. Simulates the pain of a real gunshot wound. It only lasts a couple seconds."

Naia walked over to Mara and helped her up. Harmony never understood how she was friends with that girl. Maybe she'd ask after.

"Two teams. Four and I are captains." Eric looked at Four. "I chose first last year so its your pick."

Four scanned the initiates. "Marissa."

Eric said nothing about his pick. He remembered the girl from his own time in Erudite before he transfered. It was his turn to choose. He picked a Dauntless born named Adam.

The two men kept picking initiates with Harmony eventually being chosen by Four. They then divided the Dauntless members ending with Tris going to Fours team and Will going to Erics.

"You can jump first." Four stated smirking.

"Need more time to decide what to do with a criple on your team?" Eric shot back.

Harmony shot Eric a death glare at his reference to her. Fours smirk only deepened. "Something like that."

Five minutes later Eric and his team jumped off the train. Tris kept an eye on Harmony. She'd seen that glare and knew Eric had gotten under her skin.

Four and his team waited ten minutes before they too jumped off the train. Like the year before Four led his team to the ferriss wheel.

"Alright now its time for you guys to come up with a plan."

The initiates immediately began arguing with each other with the exception of Harmony. Harmony thought to herself before limping to Four. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned, dark blue eyes focusing on her.

"Why aren't you with the others?" He asked.

Harmony scoffed a bit. "Come on, you think they'll get anywhere fighting with each other; much less listen to the cripple?" She pointed out.

"Good point. So what were you thinking?" He asked.

Harmony pointed to a tree. "Back in Amity the kids used to climb to the weaker branches to get to the food the adults couldn't get. I was thinking the flag could be put up there while also finding Erics flag in the process. We find his flag we find his team."

Four smirked. That was some smart thinking. Harmony continued talking. "You think you can give me a boost into the tree?"

Four nods. They walk over to the tree and the Dauntless member picked the former Amity up so that she could latch onto the tree. He gestured for Tris to go up there since she wasn't scared of heights.

Tris and Harmony scale the tree together. Tris kept a constant eye on the initiate. The last thing Harmony needed was another injury. After the two climbed high into the tree they looked around.

A soft glow caught Harmonys attention. "There." Harmony pointed and Tris saw the flag. It was nearby the pier where there was cover for ambush attacks.

The two carefully climbed down with Harmony staying in the tree so she can get the flag into position.

"Initiates, over here!" Four called.

The initiates stopped arguing and obeyed their team leader. Four gestured to Harmony. "While you lot were busy fighting amongst yourselves, the Amity here found the flag and came up with a decent plan which is more then you lot did."

At Fours nod to her Harmony told them her plan. After she was given the flag she scurried back up the tree like a squirrel to secure the flag.

The team split up. Half the team would ambush Erics team while the other half would stay behind and guard the flag.

It was decided Harmony Four and the transfers of Fours team would guard the flag while the Dauntless born and Tris would go amubush Erics team to get their flag.

Harmony stayed in the tree getting ready to snipe members of Erics team from above. Soon enough she saw Hunter, a Dauntless born on Erics team try to ambush Four from behind.

Adjusting her position to a different branch she fired her gun downing Hunter. Four spun around at the cry the dark skinned boy released. Hearing a shout he spun and shot the girl rushing at him.

"If you want to attack from behind, its better stay silent." Four told her with a smirk.

The transfers and Four defended the flag to the best of their ability. Soon it was over. They'd gotten Erics flag.

Four helped Harmony out of the tree. In her hand was their flag. She handed it to Four with a smirk.

Twenty minutes later they were all on the train heading back to the Dauntless compound. Eric was in a sour mood because his team had lost twice in a row but Harmony and the rest of Fours team couldn't be happier with how this years Dauntless games played out.
