As the mist cleared away and all of the spinning stopped, everyone blinked to clear out any fuzziness from their eyesight so they could see where they were and where they had been teleported to.

The backdrop and surroundings had completely changed, the city was replaced by nothing more than the dark and metallic interior of a great castle fortress' throne room, except the throne was missing.

The only things in the room serving as highlights were the blood red banners on the left and right sides of the windows, bearing the symbol of a bobcat baring its teeth and growling ferociously, not to mention a huge chandler made of glass and metal dangling from the ceiling above dangerously as if it could fall upon the heroes at any minute.

"This is my palace." Prince Furrnuts explained, "Its always been designed like this, it was the architect's and my ancestor's idea in the ancient days of yore, when the Kingdom of Fluff and hairball was just beginning.

"We are the most primitive and advanced civilizations in all of the universe, we're intelligent and smart. Of course we still had our beginnings as animals until our minds evolved and we became like humanoid beings."

"One question." Dedede twirled his hammer impatiently, "Where's this Toneygus guy who toppled your reign?" Kirby nodded in agreement, "Yeah." Meta Knight was tapping his foot, "Seems to be a coward, I almost get the feeling we were tricked by the prince himself so he can take us all out and then conquer Dream Land."

Before the prince could meow anything, thunder and lightning boomed...

A devious voice echoed out of nowhere, "MY FRIENDS, I WELCOME YOU TO YOUR GRAVESITE, THE PLACE WHERE YOU SHALL FALL TO MY BRILLIANCE AND BE DECIMATED BY ME!"

KA BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

In a blinding flash of light and a big puff of black smoke, Lion Warrior Doofustacar Barkleyastum Toneygus appeared; Cloaked, red eyed and snarling with yellow sharp teeth bared, his mane billowing in the temporary after-breeze of the big explosion of thunder, lightning and magic smoke.

"Doofustacar Barkleyastum Toneygus, I presume?" Kirby asked.

"Correct, young Star Warrior." Doofustacar replied, "I am Lion Warrior Doofustacar Barkleyastum Toneygus, RIGHTFUL RULER OF FURRIZIANYGUS PUTZIFURRUSATALAKA, KINGDOM OF CATS! FOR GENERATIONS, MY FAMILY HAS SOUGHT TO RULE THE WHOLE KINGDOM AND PLANET. I HAVE LEAD MY FAMILY TO GREATNESS, TONEYGUS WILL NOT HAVE HIS ACHIEVEMENT SHORT-LIVED!"

"Yeeeeaaaaaaaah," Dedede rolled his eyes, "I dunno what got to your head, but you're a loony freak. Think we need to fix that… Kirby, the magic wand?"

Kirby nodded, "Ok." Wishing hard and hoping for the attack to strike true, the puffball waved the Magical Furry Star Staff as its tip glowed brightly with the colors of yellow and blue. Once enough energy was built up, Kirby pointed the rod/staff at Toneygus and ZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!

The self-proclaimed "Lion king of the Cat Planet" let out a screech of pain as the divine weapon's sacred power made contact with his entire body and electrocuted him to the point where he felt more pain than ever before in all the years he had ever existed.

"Just pathetic!" Meta Knight rolled his eyes, "No battle, no casualties. This was too easy, we kick villain's butt and the end."

He quickly took back his own words, why?

As the Lion Warrior toppled to the ground, a shadow cast over Toneygus' body and a villainous laugh echoed throughout the castle. "Uh," The Waddle Dees huddled in fear, "What's going on, who's here somewhere laughing?"

"I AM THE LAUGHING ONE!"

"Who? SHOW YOURSELF NOW!"

The shadow over Toneygus' limp and unconscious body began to give an ominous red flash as the lion vanished and something else formed, some sort of dark figure with red eyes and an almost humanoid form, holding a trident.

Kirby let out a scream of shock, "JUST WHAT ARE YOU?!" The figure finished forming, now a shadowy being wearing a dark cloak with black flames upon its head for hair, smiling a cold smile. "I. AM. SHADOW MATTER!"

"Shadow Matter?" Dedede and Meta Knight raised their eyebrows, "What the heck kinda stupid name title is that and where do you come from? Why are you here and what is your purpose in the universe?"

"I AM A POWERFUL ENTITY FROM BEYOND THE STARS, BEYOND THE UNIVERSE! SHADOW MATTER IS MY NAME BECAUSE I AM FROM THE DARK MATTER TRIBE.

"I CAME TO THIS WORLD TO RULE IT, MY ABILITIES ARE SO GREAT THAT SHADOW MATTER WILL USE ANYONE TO ACHIEVE ITS GOAL SUCH AS THAT FOOLISH LION PUPPET YOU OUSTED."

"WHY CONQUER THIS WORLD?"

"I FELT LIKE IT! Number two, ITS GREAT PRACTICE BEFORE I ATTACK OTHER WORLDS!WHEN I ELIMINATE YOU ALL, I WILL CEMENT MY DOMINANCE OVER THIS PLANET AND THEN RAISE AN ARMY TO INVADE ALL OTHER WORLDS BEYOND THESE STARS FOR THE GLORY OF THE EMPIRE OF ALL!"

"Well, we are gonna stop you, sucka!" A Waddle Dee grunted.

"HISSSSS! Yeah, you're screwed and doomed." Fuzzyton agreed, hissing and growling, baring his fangs.

Kirby lifted the magic staff high, "LETS KICK BUTT!"

Kirby: Screw you, bonehead!

Dedede smacks his hammer and gives Shadow Matter the finger.

Dedede: Yeah, U$uK

Shadow Matter snaps his fingers and sends out masked and shirtless muscular human men, carrying axes and chain whips. Kirby waves Magical Furry Star Staff and a fire tornado erupts from the tip, blasting the demons as well as Shadow Matter.

Shadow Matter HP: 165/586

Shadow Matter: I. WILL. NOT. BE. DEFEATED!

S.M unleashes a spirit bomb, which sets off a massive explosion that decimates most of the castle. Magical Furry Star Staff protects Team Kirby from explosion! When the smoke clears, Shadow Matter is outraged to see Kirby, Dedede, Fuzzyton, Furrnuts and all of the Waddle Dees including Bandana Dee (forgot about him) still alive.

Shadow Matter: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The Kirby gang chooses super team attack.

Kirby: HAIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The hero team charges Shadow Matter and launch an devastating attack from all sides. Kirby unleashes Magical Furry Star Staff's power upon Shadow Matter and zaps him with lightning, Dedede whacks with hammer as Meta Knight drives sword through the being, Fuzzyton and Furrnuts claw the heck out of the creature and the Waddle Dees poke him with their spears.

Shadow Matter: AHHHHHHRRRRRRRGGH!

The gang completes the attack and back away to the safest perimeter.

The shadowy being drops to his knees, weakened, yet his eyes are blazing with anger and hatred.

Shadow Matter: You can't beat me, I will not go down easily!

Two Waddle Dees lunge forward and impale him through the heart with their spears.

Shadow Matter: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Kirby and friends triumph.
