Chap.14
Hey y'all,hope you all are well. This chapter is gonna be a bit of a gag and a bit more like South Park itself due to the nature of what the boys get into. Of course there shall still be fluff with our favorite characters. I hope you all enjoy and would consider reviewing and critiquing down below.
Kenny was on his way home from work early. Apparently had some business to attend to and had to force Kenny to leave early. Which meant that our favorite poor boy couldn't get paid.
But all wasn't bad as Kenny was happy to see Heidi so early. He wouldn't say he liked her but their relationship was definitely becoming more present in Kenny's list of things that he looked forward to on a daily basis. Even though he started out as her casual acquaintance that she helped recognize that she was more than she thought, Kenny was begging to recognize that Heidi made him feel that same way.
Maybe Karen was onto something about him liking her. But what would Karen know. She was only in the second grade with zero relationship experience.
And even if he did "like her" that way who knows if Heidi actually liked him. Even if she did(which if she doesn't could lead to awkwardness), who knows what could happen thanks to a certain fatass.
Kenny was still in his own head space when he began to approach the road where Cartman, Stan, and Kyle lived. As he could make out the train tracks in the distance, he noticed Karen walking out of Cartman's house. Kenny's mind could only conjure one thought.
"What the Fuck?"
Kenny began to pick up his walking speed so he could reach his sister.
Was Cartman doing something with Karen? Knowing Cartman, Kenny could only expect that it was no good. Maybe it was part of a plan to find out one of Kenny's weaknesses to get back at him. Or maybe Cartman was telling her something about Heidi. Whatever the case, Kenny needed to make sure that Cartman needed understand something
Kenny was subjected to enough abuse in life and death to not care about what anybody does to him. Even Cartman. Kenny can even stand what Cartman does to some of his friends as he normally gets his comeuppance. But family is the one thing Kenny can't stand to be tormented with. If there was one golden rule in this game of life and death that Kenny had learned it's that you never mess with a man's family. And if Cartman didn't respect that rule, then Kenny would definitely have to be the one to teach him why you should. And let's just say a lecture isn't exactly Kenny's style.
"Hey Karen!"Kenny shouted towards his sister
Karen had heard that voice many times. Most of the time it was there for her consol or happiness. But this would be one of the rare instances that it wasn't.
Karen turned around to see her brother with a serious look on his face. She knew that this probably wasn't gonna be good.
Kenny approached his sister. He knew he needed to approach this from a calm angle. At least with Karen.
"Kare, what are you doing here?"Kenny asked
Karen just stared at the ground and didn't answer. She wasn't doing it to be spiteful. She just didn't know how to answer.
"Karen, What are you doing here?"Kenny said in a serious tone.
Karen knew she needed to say something or Kenny would surely get angry. She doesn't like to provoke that emotion in people.
"I..I..was hanging out with Eric.."Karen shyly replied
"Ummm for what reason?"Kenny asked
She didn't want to expose Cartman, despite knowing that her own brother had a feminine side he could relate to.
"He agreed to walk home with me and his mom offered me snacks so I hung out…."Karen said
"Okay…"Kenny said
"Listen Kenny, I know you guys don't get along all the time but Cartman is actually kinda friendly…"Karen said
Kenny knew Cartman was two faced and manipulative but what the hell could he want from Karen? Sure he had his moments, but Cartman always thought about his own bottom line. No matter what or who it affects and how it affects them.
"Alright Karen, I think it's time I explain the being that is Eric Cartman. Cartman is a bit of a sociopath that does whatever he needs regardless of who it affects. Trust me, I know. Been around him for years and it's only gone down hill. He's also indiscriminate to who he affects. Ask Heidi."Kenny said
"But Kenny he seem-
"Karen, TRUST ME. He's a legitimate villain. It's better to just forget whatever he did. Even if it seemed good natured. It was probably just to win you over for some skeem."Kenny stated
"But Kenny, he has a different side that you all-
"KAREN TRUST ME!"Kenny shouts
"BUT WHY CAN'T YOU TRUST ME !"Karen retaliates
"BECAUSE I DON'T TRUST HIM. AND BELIEVING ANYTHING CARTMAN DOES IS TRUTHFUL JUST MAKES YOU A DAMN FOOL!"
Karen froze. Kenny had never referred to her in a demeaning way before. He had always made it a goal to make sure that he gave Karen the confidence she deserved. But Kenny needed to make sure that this hanging out with Cartman didn't become a regular thing.
"Kare...I just care about you and don't want him to hurt you like how he has hurt so many other people…"Kenny responded
"Okay…since your here, would you like to walk home now?"Karen replied
That question should have been easy for Kenny to answer with a simple yes. Especially after the shit he pulled this morning. But in this scenario, it wasn't. He looked to the green house on his left. He didn't just need information about why Cartman needed his sister, he also needed to let Cartman know that there were boundaries that shouldn't be crossed.
"I'm..I'm sorry Kare…but I need to talk to Cartman real quick."Kenny said
"Kenny, you don't need to do anything…"Karen said
"I'm sorry..but I have to...I promise that I'll be home soon. I'll try to let you know if that changes. I love you buddy."Kenny replied
"I love you too."
Kenny opened himself up for a hug and Karen obliged, even after their little shouting match. It was brief and the McCormick siblings went their separate ways.
"I just...needed someone."Karen mumbled to herself
Kenny heard that last part but decided that it was best not to reply. He was doing what was best for Karen anyway….right?
Kenny let those thoughts wash out of his head as he began to change focus on the Cartman residences.
He makes his way up the cement steps and knocks on the door. He receives no answer. Kenny wasn't in the mood to be patient and he wasn't gonna exactly respect Cartman's house rules.
As upset as he was, Kenny didn't kick the door down. He still maintained some decency and opened the door like a normal person.
"CARTMAN!"Kenny shouts. Decency is now gone
Kenny noticed someone coming down the stairs. Butters notices the not so happy look on Kenny's face and immediately begins to sweat with fear. He had seen Kenny's rage before as Professor chaos messed with South Park and was on the wrong side of Mysterion's fist.
"Ummm uuu hey Kenny.."Butters said
"Butters, where is Cartman. I need to talk to him."Kenny replies
"Who knows...His mom made some brownies want to try some?"Butters asks
"Butters you better-
"I hear they are really good."
"Butters."
"I mean that's all Cartmans mother does right?"
"Butters!"
"That and get her brain banged out.."
"BUTTERS! ENOUGH STALLING! WHERE IS CARTMAN!"Kenny shouts
Just as Kenny was about to grab Butters to get him to talk, the slam of a fridge door could be heard. Cartman emerged from the kitchen.
"I'm right here you poor asshole."Cartman states
"CARTMAN. What the FUCK were you doing with my sister?"Kenny replies
"What else? Having a tea party."Cartman says
"Your fuckin with me right?"
Kenny looks towards butters who has a surprised look on his face. Butters never expected for Cartman to reveal something like that to anyone. But he should have suspected since Eric had to deal with Kenny of all people.
"Nope,that would be gay."Cartman states
"O haha, But why her? It's one thing to mess with me or the guys, but our families are off limits, do you understand!"Kenny states with a serious look
"Why her? Because she needed someone. And apparently, Heidi seems to matter more than your own family. At least, that's what this morning showcased."
"You don't know what you're talking about Cartman. My connection with Karen runs way deeper than anything you could pull. And Heidi knows what matters."
"Is that so? Well, where was Karen strong older brother this morning, hmm? She was forced to resort to hanging out with a bastard such as myself for security. Because her own family wasn't good enough to be there for her."
Kenny walks within a foot of Cartman. He grits his teeth and tightens his fist.
"Oo what Kenny? The truth hurt?"Cartman states
Kenny maintains eye contact with Eric. Cartman holding a smirk on his face. Kenny with a angers look stuck to his face
"Damn you Cartman."
Both sides maintained eye contact. The tension was making Butters nervous. He was never one for confrontation. But the two boys in front of him were all about it when it came to what mattered to them. Regardless if it was the people close to them or their own motivations.
Butters needed to end this before it truly began.
"Hey Kenny, Eric and I were about to enjoy some of those brownies I was talking about. We needed some help to get them, but seeing as you are here, we would be willing to share some with you if you helped us get them. Or at least I would."Butters said
Kenny looks at Butters with a less angered look. He knew the type of person butters was. And it wasn't his or Eric's firey type. Kenny looks back at Cartman.
"Fine, where are they?" Kenny states
"This way slave."Cartman states with a more positive vibe than when he was looking at Kenny.
Kenny just rolls his eyes.
The brownie operation didn't take long. Just Kenny using Butters as a lift to grab the plate of brownies while Cartman sat and watched them.
"Oo man, you guys were climbing all over each other like a bunch of homos. Hahaha, don't let the asian girls catch you two hahahahah." Cartman says
"Whatever man. They probably did something of the sort"Kenny replies
"Eww." Butters states as he takes a bite of one of the brownies
"Ya...man what's in these brownies. They actually aren't half bad. Just like 's boobs."Kenny said
"Ha ha poor boy."Cartman replies
The boys continue to eat the brownies.
"Hey,have you guys ever listened to Indian rap?"Kenny asks
"No I have not, is it good?" Butters respondes
"Why the hell do I give a crap about a bunch of dumb skinny people."Cartman states(racism much?)
"Dude…"Kenny states
1 hour later…
"Ooo man what the FUCK was in those brownies?"Kenny asks
"Who fuckin cares? I feel fucking phenomenal!"Butters replies
"Yo tell this indie mothe fucker to turn up the jams. You were right Kenny, this Indian shit slaps!"Cartman says
"First of all, I'm not Indian, I'm Pakistani. Second, you boys seem a bit too intoxicated with whatever you had. Third, you've listened to this song like ten times."The Uber driver says.
"Aaaa Fuck u man."Butters states
"Oooo shit!"Cartman and Kenny shout
The Uber driver looks back at the three boys with a glare.
"U know what? GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY CAR! Stupid boys."The driver yells
The driver hits the breaks causing the three boys to whip in their seats. He pulls over to the side walk that lines the building of downtown South Park
"Fuuuucckkk you man, we out."Kenny states
"Ya screw you bru."Cartman says as he exits the car
The three boys google exit the car and flip off the driver. He flips them off right back. He peels out hard as a final F U.
The boys look at each other and began to laugh.
"Aaaa man, Butters, you're an animal man."Kenny says
"No u man. Lookin all handsome and shit."Butters replies
"What are you talking about bro? I am F-ugly. What the fuck did you think I wore a hood all the time?"
"Naaa man don't bull shit. If you didn't, all those girls in school would spread their legs for you. You just wanted to give ugly guys like Eric,Clyde and I a chance."
"Where the fuck is that shmexy bitch?"Kenny asks
The pair of boys turn around to Cartman looking at a sign in front of a building. The sign reads "Vocals:South Parks one and only karaoke center. Cartman looks back at his friends and grins.
"Are you crazy bastards thinking what I'm thinking?"Cartman asks
Kenny and Butters look at each other with a smile.
After barely getting into the karaoke center and somehow getting a room, the boys start to have a bit of fun singing their new found love of Indian rap.
"Meet me at the bus ka man huhubudubhadyh-
"Fuckin sing that shit KENNY!"Butters shouts out
Cartman just stares at Kenny while he sings. He was starting to come down from whatever they had. And he could tell Kenny wasn't fluent in the Indian tongues.
"Is that it? Come on Ken! Hit that shit."Cartman tells Kenny
Kenny gives Cartman a grin that changes to a smirk. Kenny proceeds to take off his jacket and throws it to the ground.
"HELL YA!"Butters and Cartman shout.
About a few rooms down A familiar group of girls hear in on the shouting.
"That voice? It sounds familiar...but I have no idea what it's saying. But I can still recognize it.."Heidi says
"Uggg who cares, they need to quiet down. I wanna sing Shawn Mendez."Bebe states
"Ya, Bebe is right. We brought you here to have a good time with us and we don't want anything to ruin it."
Heidi makes her way out of their room.
"Well if it is who I think it is, then it will be fine...It may even make things a lot more interesting."Kenny says
Wendy and Bebe look at each other. And they give each other a look and then a look towards Heidi. Something akin to a "oooo? Oooo ;)"
"Geez it's not like that. But it will be better if he's here."
The trio of young ladies make their way to the room next theirs. They open the door to see butters passed out on a couch while Kenny was singing, drenched in sweat. Cartman was dancing and was way sweater and was giving off a strong body odor. The girls held their noses in disgust.
The girls could definitely tell that something was up. Heidi decided that standing around being surrounded by Cartman's BO wasn't gonna solve any questions they had about what was going on.
"Umm Kenny?!"Heidi said
Kenny was still in the zone, singing his heart out Indian tongues.
"Kenny!"Heidi says as she increases her tone
Still no acknowledgement from Kenny.
Heidi didn't have a choice. She was gonna have to get close to get her message across.
Heidi walks towards Kenny and grabs the microphone in hands and shouts "KENNY!"
She has finally caught his attention as well as everyone in the building.
"Ooooo wassup Heids?"Kenny finally responds
"Hey...are you okay?"Heidi says
"Bru, I'm on the next level of enlightenment and I'm expressing it through song and soul. Of course I'm okay"
Heidi could still think that Kenny and his friends were definitely on to something. They were reminding her of her parents and relatives when they got drunk. She guessed that these boys must be intoxicated as well. As to what was still a mystery to her. Heidi looks back to her friends. They give her a "You need to do something about this look."
Heidi had always seen adults push for people to be escorted home after they had been consuming some kind of inebriating substance. She figured that she would need to step up to make sure Kenny was escorted home as well. Heidi guessed karaoke was gonna have to be put off for another time.
"Alright well...is Karen okay? I know what you've said but still..you don't seem all too keen on her having some alone time with your parents that often.."Heidi said
Kenny had just remembered. He told Karen he would be home soon after their little talk.
"Ooo...Oo shit...ya, I should get home."Kenny replied
He turned around and put the mic down in its proper place and picked up his jacket. Kenny stumbled but Heidi was there to catch him.
"Thanks Heids.."
"Of course."
They walked up to Wendy and Bebe who seemed a bit irritated. They weren't sure if it was because they had made the girls wait or if they were mid conversation with a certain fatass.
"Just fuckin leave him. He's a trooper. Plus, We also need someone here to pay the tab."Cartman said
"No Cartman! We can't just leave him here. And there isn't even a tab that needs to be paid. This is a karaoke center, not a karaoke bar."Wendy replied.
"Well shit, good luck carrying him then. I know damn well I can't!" Cartman retorts
Heidi develops a confused look and looks over to Butters. He's passed out on the couch and drooling. She thought about taking a pic but she wasn't that kind of conniving person.
"We should probably grab him and wake him up."Kenny says
"Ya, you're right. Bebe, could you lend me a hand in helping him up"Heidi asks
"Uggg fine."
The girls walk over to the sleeping blonde. Heidi taps him on the shoulder.
"Butters..you awake?"Heidi says
No response.
As Heidi continued to try and wake butters, all Bebe could think about was how her night was ruined thanks to these idiot boys. And it always seems to be these boys in particular. She had no idea why Wendy and Heidi code to associate with them.
Bebe could tell that Heidi's methods of waking up butters weren't working so she decided she would need to take over.
"Wake up you loser!"Bebe shouts as she smacks butters awake
"Bebe!?"Heidi responds
Heidi looks back at butters who has a red mark on his face and who is stone faced. She imagined that butters would be a bit more giddy when intoxicated. Guess she was wrong.
The silent butters gets up and makes his way to the door. Everyone else was confused by his action. They decided to follow with the girls leading the way and helping escort Kenny while Cartman was stumbling in the back on his own. Let's just say the girls couldn't stand his wretched Body odor.
The group goes outside to find butters sitting on the curb of the sidewalk. It's nighttime with only stars in the sky.
"I need...I need to go home.."Butters says as he holds his head.
The group looks at Butters and each other with concern. This is probably the most down they've ever seen Butters.
"Okay, I'll get an Uber-
"Don't worry about it Wendy, I'll take care of it. We were supposed to have fun but I chose this instead. The least I could do is pay for these idiots to get home."Heidi said
Heidi gets her phone out and gets an Uber that arrives within twenty minutes.
Kenny and Butters have basically become silent while the girls chat amongst each other and Cartman interjects once and while to ruin whatever conversation they are having.
The Uber finally pulls up.
"Hell-...O no,no,no, Not these little shits again."
"What?"Heidi questions
"Those stupid boys insulted me and my culture by making me play Indian rap and cursed me out so I dumped them here."The driver says
"I'm sorry sir. They were a little intoxicated before. I think they still are. I just want to make sure they get home safe."
The driver can tell that Heidi is being genuine.
"Fine get in. But you better give me a five star review."
"Thank you and of course."
The group entered the car with some passengers having trouble getting in more than others.
"I thought this dude had a smaller car?"Kenny asks butters.
"Me too."Butters replies
The driver begins to drive the kids to their destination.
"Holy shit. Did not expect this…"Cartman states aloud
"What?"Kenny asks
"I mean, first I hang out with your little sister. Then I ate those wonder brownies and party it up with you guys. And now we are going home with these two hoes."Cartman replies
"Oo ha ha Cartman, I don't know what you're on but it obviously makes you stupider then you already are. There are three of us?"Wendy adds
"Ooo? You think I've missed count? Incorrect. Heidi and Bebe are indeed hoes. But you , are something else altogether."
"Is that a fact? Then what am I then?!"Wendy questioned
Bebe could tell this was setting her friend off.
"You're the type of girl who thinks they can get away with anything. Especially when people have their backs turned to you. You also think that you are quite the prize and should be treated as such. But in reality you're just as fickle as the people you surround yourself with."Cartman says
"O ya? Well sorry if that bothers you but I have standards for myself and others unlike you."Wendy retorts
"And to what extent does that go? Like kissing someone and just doing it to get it out of your system, like it's some kind of virus. And never actually considering what the other person thinks or feels. I think hoes will keep people around even after they scratch an itch for them. What you do, well it's far more devilish."Cartman states
Heidi and Bebe look at each other and then at Wendy. They are hoping for some kind of response. Wendy just sits there and looks at the bottom of the car with an angered look combined with a disappointed one. Kenny caught this in his eye. Something else was going on in her head. He didn't know what but it kind of reminded him of how Craig had acted when he let Kenny know about what was going on in South Park thanks to Kenny.
Kenny noticed that they were approaching the Stotch residents. He decided that he might need to look further into what Cartman was alluding to with Wendy. It obviously had some physical meaning as well as symbolic.
"What is he talking about Wendy?"Bebe asked
"It...It doesn't matter. I'll tell you later."Wendy responded
"Right. Because it never fucking does."Cartman added with a snarky tone
That last part especially caught Kenny's attention. After everything that had happened with Craig, he had become more observant of the world around him and wasn't gonna let any small detail pass him by. Looks like he would need to question a certain black haired girl with a purple buret later on.
The car had finally stopped in front of Butters house with his parents standing outside. Butters still remained silent and was the first to exit the car.
"Butters! Where have you been!" yells
Butters seemed to ignore that comment and just walked to the bushes beside the windows of his house.
"Butters! What the fu-
And before begins to get out the words out of her mouth, Butters pukes all over the bushes. He then collapses to the ground.
"Jesus Christ!"Cartman adds as he exits the Uber. The Uber decides no tips are worth these kids and leaves.
"Ooo my GOD! He got it all over my Bellflowers!" screams
"I'm sorrryyyyyyy."Butters managed to mouth out
"That is it Butters! You clean this mess up and once you're done, YOUR GROUNDED!"
His parents go back inside while butters remain on the ground only rolling over onto his back.
The girls look at each other with shock and confusion. Wendy exhales.
"Come on guys, let's get him up and get him inside."Wendy said
"Ugghhh fine."Bebe replied
As the girls walked up to butters they looked up to see Cartman stumbling over to his house.
"Hey! He's your friend! You should be helping!"Heidi says
"My friend? The fuck? I'm going home. And you should see what's going on behind you."Cartman replies
The girls look back to see Kenny throwing up in the road.
"Screw you guys, I'm going home!"Cartman says before slamming his door behind him
Heidi gives her friends a look of concern. They give her the go ahead to help him while they try to help butters.
Heidi walks over to Kenny and puts her hand on his back while he continues to throw up.
"It's okay, just let it out."Heidi says
"Fuckckdk"Kenny manages to get out amongst the bile.
Finally, Kenny manages to get it out of his system. He begins to walk away from Heidi.
"Hey, wait...Are you alright now?"Heidi asks
"Ya I'm uuuu...uuu...I think I need to sit down."Kenny said
Kenny stumbles over to the curb of the sidewalk and takes a seat. He puts his jacket on and puts his hands to his face.
Heidi decides now would be a good time to comfort Kenny. She sits beside him and puts a hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay Kenny, whatever you were on is gone and the only people that have to worry about it are the people who run over it."Heidi said
"No...no, it's not okay."Kenny said
"Well you're supposed to get it out of your system somehow. And all the city has to do is wash down so your good."Heidi continues
"That's not it."Kenny adds
"Well do your parents pay taxes? I don't mean that in an insulting way. It just means that public works are basically paid by our families. So don't worry about it."
"Thanks but that's still not it."
"Then what's the issue?"
"I failed…"
"Failed to do what?"
"I failed to balance my life, I should have gone out of my way for Karen today. I failed to be the brother I always promised that I wanted to be. Instead, I made a fool myself in front of you."Kenny said
"Well what happened?"Heidi asks
"It doesn't matter now…"Kenny replies
Heidi could make out the expression on his face. What was one of sadness and of disappointment. A face she loathed to see. Heidi grabbed Kenny's hands in hers and looked him in the eyes.
"Kenny, stuff happens and people change. We all make mistakes. But those mistakes don't matter as long as we try to fix them. So please Kenny, tell me what happened so I can help you."Heidi said
Kenny looked at Heidi with a face of suprise. But also reprieve. But he shouldn't find Heidi's kind nature suprising by now.
"Okay...I saw Karen come out of Cartman's house. Apparently, she found some kind of solus from this morning within Cartman. Of course I questioned it and got mad. Even at Karen. We argued a little and she went home. I should have just let it be and took it up with Cartman later. I ended up talking to Cartman and butters managed to calm us down with these brownies Cartman's mother made. They tasted a bit funny and the world started to get all stretchy and funny and we ended up at the karaoke place...and well you know the rest…"Kenny summed up
"I see...well you're lucky..You've got time to make it up to Karen. But, she probably shouldn't see you in this state. As for Cartman, he can go fuck himself. As for what you ate, it sounds like a hemp brownie. A very potent one at that."Heidi said
"I don't just eat one, I had like five."Kenny replied
"O my god. Well that explains a lot. Here, I'll get you home."Heidi says as she offers Kenny a hand up
"No.."
"No?"
"It's bad enough you saw me like this. I just need to walk this off."
"But Kenny, you shouldn't-
Kenny stands up and grabs Heidi's hands.
"It's okay, I'm feeling much better. And it's all because of you." Kenny says as he smiles
"Kenny…"Heidi replies
Kenny continues to smile and eventually turns away and begins to walk home. He then feels something grab him from behind.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"Heidi says from behind him
"What?"Kenny says as he turns around
Heidi then wraps her arms around him. Kenny was shocked at first but then embraced in the hug as well.
"Be safe okay...I couldn't stand if anything happened to you."Heidi said as she hugged Kenny.
"Don't worry, nothing will."Kenny said meaning it both figuratively and literally.
Heidi then pulled back a little and looked Kenny in the eyes.
"Promise? You have to promise."Heidi said
"Of course, I promise."Kenny said
"Alright."Heidi said before breaking apart the hug.
"I'll see you tomorrow."Kenny said
"You too."Heidi said
The pair went in opposite directions with Kenny heading towards home and Heidi walking towards her friends
Heidi is Meg by the gaze of both Wendy and Bebe that look like something saying "okay, I see you ;)"
Heidi just rolled her eyes.
"Did you guys mange to get butters inside and cleaned up?"
"Ya, but we kind of had to leave him the kitchen."Bebe said
"Why?"Heidi questioned
"Because his parents wouldn't let us in the front. So we had to go in the back and let him into the kitchen. The Stotchs were giving us a weird look so we just left him in there. But don't worry. We covered him with a blanket."Wendy answered
"I see."Heidi said
"So how'd it go with flirt master? He cast a spell on you yet?" Bebe added
"It's not like that...we just talked and he went home."Heidi said
"Sure."Bebe replied
Heidi just rolled her eyes agin.
"Well I think that's enough action for me on a school night. I'm gonna be heading home if you guys want a ride."Wendy said
"Okay."Heidi and Bebe replied in unison.
The trio began to walk to the nearest exit of the street so they could get another Uber. On the walk there, the words of Kenny and her friends kept ringing in Heidis ears. Maybe Bebe wasn't so off about Kenny having some kind of spell on her. And maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't mind.
