'Now, this is what you call living!' I thought with a grin on my face while my toes curled lovingly into the warm sand of the beach and sent that weird yet still pleasant feeling of something scratchy but comfortable up my legs.
Not far away from me a small barbeque grill stood and was sending waves of spicy aroma into every direction, conveniently including me and I'm not ashamed to admit that I couldn't wait for much longer to finally rip right into that juicy meat roasting on said grill like a wild animal on a hunger strike.
Obviously, I had my reasons for behaving like a nutter when confronted with normally rather bland food such as the steaks sizzling on the roast, namely my daily dose of the fucking oatmeal, which by now could really use some seasoning to make it less shitty.
Of course, that wouldn't happen any time soon, which resulted in me regularly sniffing the air above my head for any signs of food other than oatmeal in my vicinity. Until today without success.
Luckily, Rob had invited me here and after arriving late, due to my latest training session, I nearly stumbled in stupefaction once my nostrils picked up the heavenly fragrance wafting over the beach tinged in the red light of the slowly sinking sun on the horizon.
Swiftly, I had joined the other children on the beach and after exchanging names sat down next to the grill and did barely anything else but stare at the simmering meat roasting away, like a zombie who hadn't had any fresh brains to devour for decades or something alike.
My thoughts though were interrupted by some of the children coming back from swimming, who joined me near the grill without hesitation, obviously just as hungry as I was.
"Hey Rob, how much longer do we have to wait?" One of the boys asked and soon a staccato of agreements and shouts to hurry the hell up with the food echoed over the otherwise empty beach.
After a few moments though Rob seemingly had enough and shut them up in a 'no nonsense' voice I thought he may have borrowed from Shen, or tried to, barely coming across as strict and yet his words had had some effect as the shouts grew sparser and sparser until they vanished completely.
"You'll get your food when I say you'll get it and no second earlier! Now, shut up and grab the plates, I think some of these are good enough." Rob said, though before the admonished boy could answer and get up to oblige the request/order, I was already moving in a blur and came rushing back only a fraction of a second later with three plates on each arm, my saliva swirling like a maelstrom inside my jaws all the while.
"Err, here you go, Daz…" Rob spoke while he obviously tried to supress a grin at my actions, probably remembering my disgruntled face from breakfast this morning or something, but I really didn't care and after receiving the heavenly roasted steaks disappeared towards the ocean's edge where I sat down and began to devour those steaks like there was no tomorrow.
The meat dissolved without barely much effort between my teeth and I registered that I was actually moaning at the taste that was swimming inside my mouth and took my taste buds on a journey towards the moon, no doubt.
Inside, I was a little creeped out at my behaviour, not gonna lie, as I hadn't thought I would be brought to the edge of an orgasm by nothing but a simple piece of meat.
'How the mighty have fallen…Ehh, who cares. Rather gonna get me a second serving, hehehe' I thought with a grin on my face while standing up in order to rush back towards the barbeque.
Though, once I had come to my feet I was surprised to find Rob standing in front of me with another plate filled with a few steaks, which brought a toothy grin to my face.
"Here you go Daz." Rob said while shoving the plate into my hands and afterwards let himself fall down into the sand next to the place I had been sitting only moments ago.
Murmuring a 'thanks' I sat myself back down again and after doing so the two of us sat in silence with nothing but the sound of the waves crashing, the wind softly singing a tune and our jaws working in a steady rhythm sounding into the evening.
"Say, has instructor Shen approached you yet?" Rob asked suddenly, stopping me from taking another bite from the steak in my hand in the process, to which I looked at him a little confused and questioningly.
"So, he hasn't? That's surprising… well, I doubt he will exclude you…" Rob continued in a rather silent voice which brought even more confusion to my mind.
Was something going to happen tomorrow? And if so, why does Rob know about it and I don't?
Mulling over those thoughts for a little longer I finally finished my food and after burping in satisfaction threw my dish into the sand next to me.
The following minutes were filled with Rob and me just sitting there, watching the sun sink beyond the horizon until darkness claimed us and the time to return to the orphanage had come.
Though, after Rob had asked me about Shen I couldn't help but get a weird feeling inside my guts when thinking about tomorrow. And yet, I had no clue why and would simply need to wait until the time arrived for me to unveil this mystery and it did arrive faster than I would have liked…
