Chapter 6:
Once the van stopped the sounds of someone opening and slamming a door shut reverberated through the van, causing shocks through their bodies and once the back doors of the van opened Elena leaned over and began to puke.
The person jumped back and once Hayley got a good look at the person, she sneered.
"So Moira was right," she murmured. "You took us from our home."
"I'm just a casualty and just visiting for my usual bi monthly donation," Moira hummed as she leaned against the metal. "I still live in Mystic and go to Whitmore."
As soon as Elena stopped puking, she leaned back and murmured, "why does today suck? Why?"
Elijah was ready to kill as he entered the courtyard of his family's old home and as Diego went to say something Elijah flashed towards him and ripped out his liver before snarling, "where are they?"
"Let's not be too hasty brother," Elijah didn't spare a look at Kol who appeared undaggered. "I'm sure that the wolf girl just wanted to go home."
"She was home," Klaus told him as he appeared in the courtyard where ten dead nightwalkers surrounded him. "It's no longer your room." Kol went to stab Elijah with the dagger only for him to get a massive sized aneurism from the sixteen year old girl beside Klaus.
"That's me being nice," the girl said cockily. "Now where's Elena, Moira and Hayley?" Kol snarled in rage before she let up and dropped her hands. "Are you ready to answer?"
"Hopefully they're dead," the girl turned to see who she thought was Elena or even Moira but Klaus smirked and grabbed the woman before biting her. "You ass!" She screeched.
"Katerina," he replied coolly. "Kol if you want your harlot to survive then tell me where the three are or else." Kol glowered at him before answering.
"I don't know and I'm being honest." Klaus looked at the girl who nodded and Klaus snapped the woman's neck. "I told you the truth! Save her!"
"I need a reason to save her," Klaus answered. "Davina? Be a dear and see if you can help Elijah's girlfriend's grandparents." Kol saw the girl-Davina-flutter away and Klaus snickered. "Katerina will survive the bite but she might be tortured by her doppelganger's family." Kol paled and as he saw Elijah's eyes, almost looking black, he nodded.
"Thank you." Klaus snorted and Elijah left his vicinity.
"I'm not doing this for you and her," Klaus told him. "I made a promise to Moira and Elena and that was to keep Katerina alive so she can see the consequences to her actions on having Ophelia be the vampire sacrifice."
Moira decided to sum up what Tyler's big plan was as he tied her, Elena and Hayley with ropes that stung with wolfsbane and vervain inside of the little old shack in the Bayou.
"You wanted to test Hayley and Klaus' baby's blood to see if the baby can make hybrids, get her to turn on him and somehow win Hayley's affections? I've heard of crazy ass plans but this is a batshit crazy ass plan of yours and he has my blood! Do the words 'bi monthly donations' mean anything to you lot?"
Stefan had been on her case since he returned to Mystic Falls to help Bonnie out and see where he stands with Caroline. He wasn't fond of hearing that she took a mysterious potion to make her a vampire and she pretended to be sired to Damon to know what he truly felt about her.
"Not in this case," Elena joked weakly. "Since you have us all tied up and two of us are pregnant…can you get us some unlaced, non poisonous waters?"
Tyler glowered at the witch before leaving and coming back with some bottles of water.
"They're still sealed as Bonnie all but refused to help me with tainting them and no one here in New Orleans wants to piss off the Mikaelson brothers," he grumbled. "Any reasons why?"
"I'm with Klaus in every aspect," Hayley lied as she and Klaus were finding common ground and he had taken her on dates but they haven't labeled what they were, "while Elena and Elijah are the same way." Now that wasn't a lie as the two were dating and he was pacing himself on starting up anything intimate. Sure, they cuddle and sleep in the same bed but that was it.
Tyler snarled angrily before storming out and the three took a breath before Elena began to try and undo the knots without burning her wrists. Moira tried to undo Hayley's while the wolf tried to undo hers and when the three women had the ropes off, Hayley smirked.
"Why don't we tie him up with these ropes?" Hayley asked vindictively as she touched her bump lovingly.
"That and give him no control over his wolf," Moira added as she decided to practice the same type of magic that ran through Elena's veins. "It should be fun watching him scream in pain." Unbidden, every insult he had given her when she defended vampires came to the forefront of her mind. If she could make him suffer then this was the best way.
"Let's get ready ladies," Elena whispered maliciously. "Once he's down we escape."
Isobel Flemming-James was pissed as she entered the house of Marcel Gerard but was shocked as she saw her parents with a sixteen year old girl, a lookalike of her daughter who was suffering under something and three men.
One of them she remembered from the last time she was here in New Orleans-he had given her two vials of his blood when her daughter was two years old. Walking over to him, she studied him and he seemed intrigued by her before his eyes lit up.
"You were the researcher looking for clues about the Originals," he said with a grin. "You met one," his grin was wide. "Klaus Mikaelson."
"Your blood saved my life as well as my husband's," she whispered. "Your blood also allowed us to be with our daughter so thank you. You saved us."
"First kind thing he's done," the younger man snipped. "I didn't think he had it in him."
"Ignore Kol," Klaus told her genially. "He's a bit pissed off that his harlot Katerina Petrova is suffering under the toxic hybrid bite I inflicted upon her." Then he looked sadly at her. "I did not mean to kill your cousin Ophelia. It should have been Katerina. Honestly, she's useless. We can only assume that her still survival is her manipulative personality or her she-devil body." The suited man snickered.
"It's both," he reminded him. "Her body is a weapon and her tongue is silver." He shook his head. "I need to get my compulsion off her real quick." Standing up, he went over to her and touched her temple before whispering, "remember everything" and she screamed in pain. "I never touched her yet she was compelled to believe it."
The younger man-Kol-looked at him in horror.
"Why?" The suited man smirked.
"I know better than to believe what she spews and honestly? I have no idea what she could have picked up from the Salvatores, that werewolf and god knows who."
Isobel laughed and the suited man smiled at her when he turned to see her.
"Elijah Mikaelson," he introduced himself and she snickered. "May I ask what is so funny?"
"You knocked up Elena Flemming?" He nodded. "My daughter."
"Perfect way to meet the in laws," Kol sneered at Elijah before Katerina screamed and he went to wash her forehead of the sweat with a hand towel. "Just fix her Nik!" Kol rounded on Klaus who was polishing his nails on his shirt.
"What's the magic word little brother?" Klaus taunted. Before Kol could say anything the girl who was with her parents ran over to the brothers.
"I found them-in Houma," she panted. "Werewolf central. If you go, start running because that's as precise as I can be even with help." The slight drain of power radiating off her made her sway slightly but she didn't show it.
Rebekah was sitting next to Marcel in the Garden for a visit and she sighed.
"We both screwed ourselves over haven't we?" She asked sadly. "That saying 'the truth shall set you free'? Will it even matter when everything is spilled?"
"We tried to be heroes and failed in that," Marcel whispered. "Maybe if we're honest…we can have peace on the other side."
The second Elijah and Klaus entered the bayou their senses were on high alert especially after they spotted the truck. Running towards it Klaus snarled in anger as Tyler Lockwood's scent came off it in waves in the front and as Elijah went to the back he saw the remnants of whatever was in Elena's stomach as well as smell her scent alongside Hayley's and Moira's.
"This was the car," Elijah pointed out and as Klaus went to his side he noticed the same thing. "Who drove?"
"Tyler Lockwood," Klaus whispered angrily. "I'll kill him."
"I'll help," Elijah replied. "I've been itching to slaughter people." Klaus raised an eye. "Mainly the witches," Elijah amended. "They tied Elena's life to Sophie and then tried to kill our child!" Klaus could tell that his brother was close to murdering anyone who stood in his way.
"Let's go and be an Original Rescue Squad," Klaus chuckled before they were off into the bayou.
Elena, Hayley and Moira had to split up and as the pregnant witch ran, she stopped and rubbed her left side as she felt the stirrings of stitches start forming. She usually runs but lately, she's been jogging and more pregnancy type exercises excluding the running.
"I need to restart running again," she groaned and as she looked around, she began to run again until she bumped into Elijah who looked happy that she was back in his arms. "I need to run more," she panted, "as that run nearly took me out." He looked down at her in worry and with the pad of his index finger he wiped away a small bit of sweat.
"Where did you come from?" He asked as he picked her up bridal style and kissed her nose. "I want to meet up with Niklaus and hopefully he found either Moira or Hayley and I said I would help in killing Tyler Lockwood."
Moira must have gotten lost as she reached the street and as she found the truck that she had been in, she leaned against it. She was breathing heavily and though she was athletic, sprint running through the woods and trying not to trip still took a lot of her energy.
On top of that-she hadn't eaten since last night.
Closing her eyes, she was wishing that she was back in the plantation house with a basket of apples and an ice cold black cherry soda from a glass bottle.
So lost in her thoughts she didn't notice the car pulling to the side of the road and the man getting out. He ran to her side and tapped her shoulder.
"Miss?" He asked and she could hear the accent. "Are you okay?" She looked up and the name she wanted to say was Elijah but this wasn't him as she's never seen the man wearing t-shirts and jeans underneath a white lab coat a doctor would wear. She did notice the Daylight ring on his finger and he smirked.
"Turned ten years ago," he answered evenly. "Though are you alright?" He seemed genuinely worried about her health.
"I'm fine," she whispered hoarsely. "Just the average day in the life of a doppelganger." She managed a grin and held out her hand. "Moira Gilbert."
"Dr. Daniel Massey," he said smiling. "Do you need a ride somewhere?"
"Just let me text someone and tell them that I'm getting a ride back home," she said as she quickly texted Elena. Pocketing her phone, she smiled and nodded. "I'll give you directions to the place I'm staying."
"Great," he said as he led her to his car. "Do you live around here?"
"I'm going to," she replied as she thought her luck was turning around. "I already like it here and I have family in the city."
Upon arriving at the little shack, Elijah set Elena on the ground and the witch saw that her phone was beeping and while she didn't have good reception, she noticed that there was some sort of internet connection. Reading the text, she smiled.
"Well Moira's going to live in New Orleans as she met someone," she told Elijah who raised an eyebrow. "We're not going to be the only doppelgangers in New Orleans as you have one and he seems smitten with Moira already."
Elijah raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"My doppelganger?" He repeated evenly. "My doppelganger and your cousin hit it off?"
Elena looked at him.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Allow the shock to wear off first lovely," he murmured. "But yes, I'm okay." His eyebrows were furrowed. "How did I get one?"
"Who knows," Elena said shrugging, "but just be happy that he has never met Katherine Pierce and he only sees her."
He smiled, kissed her and nuzzled her throat.
"I'm happy that you and the baby are safe," he admitted. "Now let's go looking around this place."
Hayley found herself at the shack where she saw Elijah and Elena exiting and then Tyler's body came flying into a tree as Klaus jumped down from the opposite tree. He flashed so that he was in front of Hayley, checking her over for any scars or wounds.
"We're fine," Hayley panted. "We had to separate so he couldn't track us as a pack but I think that we lost Moira."
"She's with my doppelganger," Elijah told them as he shook his head. "Will it ever get easier to say? My doppelganger."
"She's a vampire groupie," Tyler snarled and Elijah snapped his neck.
"We have endless opportunities if we take him back to the Abbatoir," Elijah reasoned as Klaus looked ready to rip out Tyler's heart. "That and we need to chat with Rebekah on Marcel's imprisonment."
Moira was surprised to see Isobel waiting for her, foot tapping and a look of nervousness on her face. Getting out of the car the female vampire walked towards her at a human pace and hugged her, smiling happily.
"I was so worried," she whispered. "When I found out that you were taken along with Elena and Hayley…I was a wreck." She let her go and looked at the man who saved her and smiled. "Nice seeing you again doctor. I thought you were in Mexico?" He shook his head.
"We met in Mexico," he reminded her. "I then traveled to India, Thailand, Russia and New Zealand where I settled there before getting a 'transfer' to work here."
AN: Yes I gave Elijah a doppelgänger and the names all have meaning:
The actor's first name, the name of the profession he was in while in the medical drama Saving Hope and it is the last name of his character that was in SEAL Team
So the pairings are at the moment: Rebekah/Marcel, Elena/Elijah, Moira/Daniel, Hayley/Klaus and Kol/Katherine
