Coruscant Underworld, Coruscant
Thalia
Thalia's neck pricked. She had an uneasy feeling that she was being watched. Thalia looked back, seeing only the black wisp of a cloak disappearing. She felt cold with dread. "He's here," she whispered to an alarmed Piper. She subsequently pointed behind her, onto the rooftops of the crowded cities of the Coruscant Underworld. Piper nodded her understanding.
"On three," she said, motioning. "Two... one!" She leaped up, surprising their would-be adversary. Thalia followed, using the Force to maintain a good distance before activating her lightsaber. The blade glowed blue. Piper did the same, with her green lightsaber. The bounty hunter quickly regained his footing, shooting, blaster bolt after blaster bolt from a bowcaster.
Thalia quickly analyzed the situation. His bowcaster is made to snipe, she thought. If we get close enough, its slow reload speed will cause it to be ineffective. She leaped from rooftop to rooftop, chasing down their prey. He moved with surprising ease, jumping like a Klatooine Paddy Frog. Piper and Thalia followed, not giving up their pursuit. Thalia vaulted by using a pole, swinging overhead and managing to get in front of him. She realized who he was. Embo. Her lightsaber quickly went into motion, deflecting the heavy bowcaster bolts as he fired, slowly backing up. Surprising Thalia, he jumped into the air, throwing his disk-like hat at Thalia. She instinctively dodged, allowing the hat to whisk back to the owner before Embo disappeared down a side street.
Thalia gritted her teeth. Piper had just arrived onto the scene as Thalia and Embo both hurled themselves through the dark alleyways. I'm not giving up my prey now, Thalia thought. Not now. Not ever.
Above Aleen, Aleen
Jason
Jason gritted his teeth. He and his squadron, the Thunder Squadron were in orbit near Aleen, chasing a group of fleeing Separatist cruisers. It included an onboard mobile cruiser designed to produce T-series Tactical droids. (Not the music company, the droid production line) This was crucial to the Republic's success at winning the war. Tactical droids were notoriously dangerous, not because of their weaponry, but because of their brain. They were deployed as commanders and leaders to other droids on the battlefield. They could not destroy the ship, because Nico, a friend of Jason, was captured onboard.
The pursuit continued. His squadron routinely flew in front to bomb the cruisers before retreating to the safety of the rest of the pack. It was a strategy often used by regular pack animals, like Loth wolves. They'd tire out a larger prey until it, exhausted, falls apart.
The cruiser was far from falling apart. However, the hyperdrive has already been damaged beyond repair, so they didn't have to worry about it outspeeding them. "General! New reports indicate Separatist reinforcements coming in, two hours top," his clone commander, Griffin, reported in.
"Hang in there, Griffin. Our reinforcements should be coming soon," Jason replied. Right on cue, two Republic cruisers jutted in from hyperspace. The largest Republic cruiser, the Ivlivs, had arrived. Nearly twice as long as a regular cruiser, the Ivlivs was a ship of beauty.
"This is Admiral Aquila, reporting in," the Admiral said.
"Admiral, I hear you. Where's Jackson?" Jason asked.
"Here, Master Jason," Percy answered. He was temporarily put in command of the Ivlivs.
"We're docking in the enemy ship, reports indicate they've apprehended Master Nico di Angelo," Jason replied. "Get a smaller shuttle and prepare to land in the emergency docking bay," Jason ordered.
"Yes sir," Percy replied.
"Admiral, hold off your attack for now," Jason continued. "We'll send you the all clear signal, be on alert." With that, Jason maneuvered his ship into the large enemy cruiser. Percy got in his own Jedi Interceptor and did the same. Without warning, they blasted the helpless droids on guard in the bay. Jason hopped out of his ship before it was fully stopping. With his lightsaber ignited, he Force jumped high into the air, his lightsaber no longer a weapon. It was a line of literal death.
Jason plowed through droid after droid, Percy haven't yet arrived. "Percy! Where are you?" he asked over the comlink.
"Right behind you!" Percy answered. Jason turned around. A badly damaged Interceptor was swinging wildly, Percy trying to stabilize the controls. "I think they know we're here!" Jason looked around.
Several dozens of B2 Super Battle droids were covering their fellow B1's retreat. There were about forty of them in all, and around fifteen B1 battle droids that survived the onslaught. Ten destroyer droids, or Droidekas, accompanied them as well.
Jason gritted his teeth. This was going to be tough. In one masterful stroke, he pushed the droids against the wall. Before they could react, Jason concentrated all his power into his fingertips, letting them release all the energy trapped inside in a relatively dark type of Force ability. Force lightning. It was one of Jason's specialties. And it was this specialty that shocked every single droid senseless. However, it did have its drawbacks. Even now, Jason could feel the dark energy radiating inside of him, commanding him.
He wrestled that thought away. "Woah," Percy gasped, astonished. "What did those droids do to... deserve this?" he asked, incredulous.
"C'mon!" Jason said, rolling his eyes. "We'd better get moving."
