Retaliation
In the Skrull flagship above the Earth, General Kl'rt and Agent Criti Noll waits for their queen. They Queen Veranke return from her time on Earth.
"My queen, how is your trip to Earth?" Kl'rt said.
"I've managed to get what we needed. How's your wound General?" Veranke said.
"It's nothing." Kl'rt said.
Kl'rt still has the scar that Black Panther left on his face, his left eye is dead.
"The time has come for us to take action, the fleet is underway, we must clear the way." Veranke said.
"But we still have an obstacle, those heroes." Criti said.
"Ah yes, Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Those nuisances must be taken out, permanently!" Veranke said.
"How?" Kl'rt said.
Veranke hold a tablet that she got from S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury's files to be precise. It shows off the information in the heroes, their real identities, places they live, known family and friends.
"We now know who they are and where to hit them. Agent Noll, sent in your spies in immediately." Veranke said.
"Yes my queen." Criti said.
"We going to take them out... through the ones they love." Veranke smiled.
Peter arrived home to see Aunt May. Peter's spider sense goes off
"Spider sense tingling, I don't see any danger." Peter said in his thoughts.
"Aunt May." Peter said.
"Peter, it's been a awhile. I hardly see you anymore." May said.
"Sorry, been busy with something else." Peter said.
Peter walks into the kitchen and sees Mary Jane.
"Mary Jane." Peter said.
"You're just in time, Peter." Mary Jane said.
Peter's spider sense still tingles for some reason, he can't figure out why.
Steve is at his home in Brooklyn, he see Sharon waiting outside.
"Sharon, why are you here?" Steve said.
"I've brought dinner, thought you might be hungry?" Sharon holds takeout.
"I could use a bite." Steve said.
At the home of Tony Stark in Malibu, Tony and Pepper are spending so much time together. They are watching a movie and having popcorn.
"Yippee Ki Yay Motherfucker." John Mcclane said in the movie.
"Can't believe that you still watch Die Hard." Pepper said.
"Hey it's my favorite Christmas movie growing up. You can't deny that this Bruce Willis' best work." Tony said.
Bruce arrive at the cabin in the Catskill, he opens and sees Betty Ross. He ran up and hugs her.
"Betty, I've missed you." Bruce said.
"I've missed you too." Betty said.
Bruce and Betty have been apart for a year because of his fugitive status.
Thor returned to New Mexico and meets up with his girlfriend Jane Foster.
"Thor, you're back!" Jane said.
"I couldn't stay way from you for too long." Thor smiled
Carol is walking down the streets of New York, she then noticed that she's being follow. She walked as fast as she can and ended, the two individuals ended up in the alley and see that they lost Carol.
"Where is she?"
"I don't see her."
They got surprised by Carol blasting one of them, Carol flew up and gripped one of them in the neck.
"Who are you and why are you following me?!" Carol said.
The man changed back into his true form, he's a Skrull.
"Skrulls." Carol said.
"In the flesh."
"Why are you following me?" Carol said.
"We're sent to kill you and your friends."
"My friends?... oh no!" Carol said.
"It's too late! The work is done."
Carol realize that the Skrulls are hunting down her teammates.
At the home of May Parker, Peter's spider sense kept going off.
"Why is my spider sense kept tingling." Peter said in his thoughts.
Mary Jane pulled out a knife and swings it a Peter. Peter dodged it until he got caught by May behind him. He got trapped as Mary Jane came at him with a knife. Peter jumps and pushed Mary Jane away with both legs. He headbutt backwards on May and escaped.
"You two aren't May and Mary Jane!" Peter said.
The fake May pulled out her blaster and shot at Peter, he ducked down and does a sweep kick. Fake May tries to fire again until Peter kicked the blaster off her hands. He finished off with a punch to the face. He see Fake Mary Jane holding a knife.
"Don't do this!" Peter said.
She swings her knife but he dodge every cut with ease, he caught her wrist and disarmed the knife from her hands. He then elbows her head, knocking her out cold.
He finished fighting them off, he then sees their faces changing. Both of them are Skrulls.
"Skrulls... oh no!" Peter said.
At the home of Steve Rogers, he and Sharon are about have dinner until he heard his phone rang. He pulls it out and checks the text from Peter.
"Who is it?" Sharon said.
"It's Peter." Steve said.
The text said 'Skrulls attacked me. WATCH OUT!"
Steve then looked at Sharon, she pulled out her blaster and shot at Steve. He dodge the blast, he ran to the living room and picked up his shield. She shot at him again only for him to be protected by his shield.
He ran up closer with his shield and pushed her back. They both engaged in hand to hand combat, she is stronger than a normal human being, Steve realize that she's a Skrull. He kicked the blaster off her hands and kicked her back in the face. She tries to get up until he hits her with shield, she got knocked out cold.
In Malibu, Tony and Pepper are done watching a movie.
"Now that Die Hard is finished, what next?" Tony said.
"I got a surprise for you, wait here." Pepper said.
Pepper left the room as Tony got a text message from Peter, he reads it.
"Skrulls? Watch out?" Tony said.
Tony sees Pepper coming in with Skrulls, he's being ambushed, he got up and ran.
"JARVIS, I need a suit immediately!" Tony said.
The Iron Man suit came flying towards him, it opened up as Tony enters and dons it. He flies up and started taking them down with his repulsors. He see fake Pepper jumping up and got a hold of him, he tries to fire back but she got both wrists.
"What are going to do? I took both your weapons away." Fake Pepper said.
"Except for one!" Iron Man said.
His arc reactor is charging, he shoots off a unibeam at her, blasting her off. He then flies out of his home.
Thor enjoyed having too much to drink but alcohol hardly affects him. He then see Jane pulling out her blaster and some Skrulls coming in.
"Fire!" Fake Jane said.
The Skrulls fire at Thor, he got blasted back a bit injured. He summoned Mjolnir, he spins it as to create a barrier from blaster fire. The Skrulls kept firing until Thor tossed Mjolnir at them, taking them down one by one.
"What is going on here?!" Thor said.
He see Jane's face changing, she's a Skrull.
"Skrull!" Thor said.
At the cabin, Bruce and Betty are near a fireplace enjoying the wine. Bruce got a ring from his phone. He pulls it out and sees that Peter sent him a text message.
"Peter is telling me the Skrulls attacked him and that I should watch out." Bruce said.
Betty pulled out a taser and shocked Bruce.
"You're not Betty, you're a Skrull!" Bruce said in pain.
"How perceptive of you." Fake Betty said.
She wasn't alone, she brought in Skrulls holding a electric weapon. They shot at Bruce, causing him to be shocked in pain. His heart rate is elevating too fast, he began to change.
He became the Hulk as the Skrulls switched to using blasters against him. They shot at him as he felt the plasma blast against his skin. He got more angry that he fights back punching and smashing any Skrull in his sights. He managed to mop up the Skrull, he then leaped out of the Cabin and headed back to New York.
At Stark Tower, Captain Marvel waits for the rest of the team to arrive. She then see Spider-Man coming in, she wasn't sure if he's Spider-Man or not. Her hand glowed and aimed at her.
"Stay right there!" Captain Marvel said.
"Hey... it's me, Peter." Spider-Man said.
"Prove it! Where did we go for our date?" Captain Marvel said.
"Seriously?!" Spider-Man said.
"Where?!" Captain Marvel said.
"Stan's! Stan's diner, we had burgers and shakes, I didn't have any money that day, you paid for our meal!" Spider-Man said.
She lowered her fist.
"Sorry, needed to be sure." Captain Marvel said.
"It's okay, I can tell that you're the real Captain Marvel." Spider-Man said.
"How?" Captain Marvel said.
"My spider sense can tell if there's an enemy nearby." Spider-Man said.
"That'll come in handy." Captain Marvel said.
The elevator opened up and Captain America came in.
"Wait there!" Captain Marvel said.
Captain America stopped as Spider-Man came closer to see if he's a Skrull or not.
"No spider sense, he's not a Skrull." Spider-Man said.
"You two were attacked too." Captain America said.
"They came after us." Captain Marvel said.
They see Iron Man and Thor coming in. Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Captain America stand ready. Iron Man and Thor are also ready to fight.
"Stand down, they're not Skrulls!" Spider-Man said.
Captain America and Captain Marvel both stand down, Thor and Iron Man did the same.
"Let me guess, Skrulls attacked you in your own home." Iron Man said.
"Yeah." Captain America said.
The five see Hulk coming in as he crashed into the window.
"Seriously? Can you guys not smash my window?!" Iron Man said.
"Sorry!" Hulk said.
"He's the Hulk." Spider-Man said.
Later the heroes all gathered together to discuss the recent attacks against them.
"Each of us has been attacked, which means that-" Captain America said.
"They know who we are." Spider-Man said.
"They came after us... all of us." Iron Man said.
"Not just us, our loved ones too." Spider-Man said.
"How? They managed to learn about our identities and the people closes to us. The only one who knew are us and..." Iron Man said.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.!" Captain America said.
"You think that S.H.I.E.L.D. is compromised?" Spider-Man said.
"Not that hard to believe, they specialize in infiltrating planets and it's government." Captain Marvel said.
"Yeah, but why now?" Captain America said.
"If I had to guess, their invasion is already underway, they want Earth and we're the only things standing in their way." Captain Marvel said.
"If they assumed the identities of our loved ones, what happened to them? Do you think that they're..." Spider-Man said.
"No... they're still alive, Skrulls aren't that dumb to simply kill them. They'll still need them alive as leverage." Captain Marvel said.
"Then we need to find them." Spider-Man said.
"How? If they managed to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D. then nowhere is safe. Not even here." Captain America said.
"I might have a way to find them." Iron Man said.
"How?" Captain America said.
"In an event that Pepper should ever be taken, I've place a tracking implant in her skin." Iron Man said.
"You LoJacked her? And I thought I was being overprotective?" Spider-Man said.
They used Stark resources to locate Pepper, if they find her they'll find the others.
"Got it, according to this, she's at a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility in New Jersey." Iron Man said.
"We need to be careful, if they detect us they might end up killing the hostages." Captain America said.
"Then what do you suggest we do Cap?" Iron Man said.
"Yeah, it's not like they'll let us walk in." Spider-Man said.
"Actually, that's exactly what they're going to do." Captain America said.
Everyone is confused as to what Captain America has planned.
At a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, the Skrulls managed to gained control of it.
"Sir, a quinjet is coming in."
They see a quinjet about to land. Later the ramp opened up and they see two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents boarding off. Peter and Carol are both dressed in S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, wearing sunglasses and caps.
"You're both late!"
"Sorry, we had a engine malfunction that needed checking out." Carol said.
"ID's please."
Peter and Carol gave them fake ID's as they check on their tablet to make sure they check.
Outside the facility, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk await them to shut down perimeter security. Iron Man had JARVIS hack into the tablet to make sure they're cleared.
"Okay, you're both cleared. Proceed."
Peter and Carol enters the facility.
"That was close." Peter said.
"Okay, the room that controls perimeter defenses should be up ahead." Carol said.
They arrived at the security room and see a couple of individuals. They both slowly got behind them and started to wrap their arms around them. The Skrulls are getting out cold.
"Don't fight it, you won't be dead, you'll just take a nap." Peter said.
Both Skrulls are unconscious but alive.
"Okay, now log into the computer and shut down the defenses." Carol said.
Peter sat down and accessed the computer, he shut down the defenses.
"Defenses shut down." Peter said.
"Good, now use the cameras to find the prisoners." Carol said.
Peter uses the security cameras to find the hostages. He goes by camera to camera until he spotted a place that looked like a cell. He see Mary Jane with Aunt May. They're with Betty Ross, Jane Foster, Pepper Potts, and Sharon Carter.
"Mary Jane... Aunt May." Peter said.
Carol taps her earpiece. "Cap, we found them. We're going to proceed to the cell block."
"Alright, we'll be on stand by when you give the word." Captain America said.
"Understood!" Carol turns to Peter. "Let's go."
Peter and Carol walked out of the security room.
They arrived at the cell block, they two Skrulls guarding inside.
"Okay, time to mask up." Peter said.
Peter and Carol put on their masks as to hide their identities from the hostages. They removed their uniforms hiding their costumes underneath.
Spider-Man came in and kicked one in the face. Captain Marvel flies into and punched one down. Spider-Man webs them down for good measure.
"Hey there!" Spider-Man said.
"Spider-Man! What are doing here. Where's Peter?" May said.
"Don't worry, he's safe. Tell us what happened?" Spider-Man said.
"We were taken by these green beings and ended up here. What is going on?" May said.
"Don't worry, we're going to free you." Spider-Man said.
"Spider-Man, over here!" Captain Marvel said.
Spider-Man walked over to where Captain Marvel is. They both see someone they know.
"Maria Hill?" Spider-Man said.
"Yes it's me. I've been here for weeks." Maria Hill said.
"That explains how the Skrulls knew about us." Captain Marvel said.
"We need to move now." Spider-Man said.
"Agreed." Captain Marvel taps her earpiece.
Outside the facility, rest of the heroes standby for the go ahead.
"Cap, time to extract the hostages, create a diversion." Captain Marvel said.
"We're on it, time to attack." Captain America said.
Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk charged in as the Skrulls are now aware of their presence.
Inside the facility, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel freed the prisoners as Sharon Carter and Maria Hill picked up the Skrulls weapons from the guards.
"Follow us closely!" Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Captain Marvel both lead the prisoners out of the facility. They went up ahead to fight off the Skrulls with Sharon and Maria backing them up.
"May, let's go." Mary Jane sees something is wrong with May. "May, what's wrong?"
"I'm..." May fainted.
Spider-Man sees May fainted.
"Aunt May!" Spider-Man yelled.
Spider-Man went over to see her fainted, he picked her up and carried her.
Outside the facility, Captain America and Iron Man are both surrounded by Skrulls.
"We're surrounded, any plans?" Captain America said.
"I have an idea. Cap, hold your shield up!" Iron Man said.
"What?!" Captain America said.
"Trust me!" Iron Man said.
Captain America holds up his shield as Iron Man shoots his repulsor beams at the shield, creating a refraction taking out the Skrulls at once. Captain America is amazed at the teamwork he and Iron Man made.
"I thought that you weren't much of a team player, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks." Captain America said.
"Thanks, you not so bad yourself!" Iron Man said.
They see Captain Marvel coming out with the hostages, they see Spider-Man carrying a woman.
"We have to go, she needs help!" Spider-Man said.
"Everyone get to the quinjet, we're leaving!" Captain America said.
The heroes got to the quinjet, Captain Marvel got to the cockpit and took the controls. Spider-Man laid Aunt May on a cot.
"She needs a doctor!" Spider-Man said.
Jane came over and help May.
"I'm a doctor! She's fainted, get me some sedatives." Jane said.
Captain Marvel got the quinjet on.
"Hang on! We're lifting!" Captain Marvel said.
The quinjet left the facility as the heroes managed to save everyone.
"May, how is she?" Spider-Man said.
"She's been stressed, gave a sedative to calm her down, she's going to be fine." Jane said.
Jane did her job. Spider-Man took off his mask and checks on May.
"I'm so sorry May." Spider-Man said.
Mary Jane went over to comfort him.
Captain Marvel still pilots the quinjet, unsure about where to go.
"Where to Captain, no place on Earth is safe." Captain Marvel said.
"I know one place that mostly likely safe, set course for Wakanda." Captain America said.
The quinjet is heading for Wakanda, little do they know that this is the beginning of the Skrull invasion.
