Chapter 9

(Just after the end of Ch. 8)

Adam looked at the girls, they had just asked him to marry them. "Uh," he said. "You guys want to marry me?" They nodded and, he looked at Regina. She nodded, they were getting anxious.

"Train?" Said Maria, he closed his eyes as tears fell. He dropped to his knees and Maria grabbed him in a hug.

"I'm supposed to take care of you guys. Not the other way around." He said, "okay. I'll marry you guys." They grabbed him in a hug, but the Elders had stoped them.

"But," said Adam's Great Grandmother. "You all have to pass our test." The others just looked at her.

"Test?" Said Alya.

"We wanna test yuh hearts." His Grandmother.

"So, after Thanksgiving, we will test you." Said the Great Grandmother. So everything was set up and the girls went to get their training. It lasted two weeks for them but, it was two years of round-the-clock training and torture. Regina, Adam, and Jessica had returned home so Jess can get ready for a convention.

(With Adam, Regina, and Jessica)

Adam was putting the finishing touches on Jessica's costume. "I still can't believe that you are doing my costume bro." She said.

"I can't believe that you want to go to the convention as 'Jingle Bell'." He said as he was putting the finishing touches on her outfit. He was looking around at the outfit, "you sure you want the reflective trim?"

"Yeah, it's DJ Jingle."

"Wait a minute, doesn't she have those 'day-glow…?" Jess pulls out a pair of white, day-glow sunglasses.

"And I got the other pair." She pulls out another pair with the name 'Jingle' on them. Regina looked at them.

"Can you see out of them?" She said, Jess nodded.

"I can see through the gloss." She looked at Adam, "okay what's wrong?"

"I'm too good."

"What do you mean?" He pulled out another outfit, this one was electric ice blue, with white stockings, a hood, boots, gauntlets, and a nose and mouth mask. "OMG! You made her legendary master outfit?"

"This is the battle outfit, I'm working on the robe." Jess's jaw dropped, "what? I maxed her out, who you think I used when I won my first championship? Now, am I doing your hair or is mom doing it?" But, before she could answer, a portal had opened up and four bodies came out of it. They were Amazonish and armored. One of them had goat horns, the next one had a fox tail, the third had rabbit ears and the last was looking like a mermaid.

The first one got up and saw them, "ADAM!" She cried and glomped him. She was crying on his shoulder. Adam put down the pins and took the needles out his mouth. He pulled her back to arm's length.

"Wow, you look fantastic." He said. Maria gave off a tearful chuckle and kissed him.

"So," said Regina. "Looks like you four passed." Maria went over to her and Jessica to hug them as Alya and the others hugged their husband. Just then, Alix's stomach growled.

"Um," she said. "It's nice to be home but, can we get some 'nosh'?" They chuckled and Adam got up and took off his apron. They went down to the kitchen so they could eat some lunch.

(Kitchen)

"So, what happened?" Said Regina.

"Our worse nightmares." Said Kathi.

"Adam dying?" They nodded, "that's one of my nightmares." Regina kissed her son on the nape of his neck. Adam felt guilty about it, everyone felt his guilt. "I said; 'my nightmare'. My dreams are not your fault."

"But, I'm your son."

"Yes, you are." She turned him around to look him in the eyes. "As I am your mother and as your mother, I have every right to be worried about you. It's called: 'Rite of Parenthood'."

"Um, what were you guys doing?" Asked Maria.

"Well, there's a fandom convention coming around Christmas week." Said Jessica.

"And Jess wanted to go as one of her favorite characters."

"That's what you were doing." Said Alya.

"Yeah," said Adam.

"Who's the character?" Asked Maria.

"Jingle Bell," said Jessica.

"Was that the character you used when you won your first championship?" Asked Alix, he nodded.

"You should see what he made." So he went upstairs and got the outfits. They saw them and were stunned.

"How long do you have?" Asked Maria.

"Couple of weeks."

"Could you do costumes for us too 'Train'?" Said Alya.

"I'll help." Said Maria.

"Sure," he said. So he started to work on their outfits.

"Are you going too 'Train'?" Asked Kathi.

"Yeah, I guess." Alix had an idea.

"Why not use your old hero outfit?" She said.

"I don't know if I can still fit it."

"There's only one way to find out 'Train'." So he went to grab his outfit and put it on. It was tight but, not too tight.

"Gonna have to let out the tights." He said the girls were looking on.

Maria: Redder than a cherry.

Alya: Bouncing up and down with hearts in her eyes.

Alix: Nose bleeding.

Kathi: Just looking.

"Does it look alright?"

"It's fine." Said Maria, Alya was behind him looking at his ass.

"Nothing wrong on this end." She said.

"I agree with Adam," said Regina. "Let it out a bit, so you can breathe." So he did, "Maria you and the girls design your outfit, you and Adam can work on them." So they do, Maria had chosen; a woman that was like Adam but, was a combination of X-23 and She-Hulk, Regina was in shock. The outfit was a white sports bra, black low rising jeans, boots, white hairband, and gloves, with 3 claws in each glove.

Alya had chosen one of Adam's favorite characters, the queen of rock and roll. Her outfit was a black biker's vest, jeans, chaps, boots, and gloves. "This Is So Cool!" She said, "who is this Adam?"

"Her name is 'Alex Jett': the 'Mistress of rock and roll'. I'll have to see if I can get the guitar made." He looked loved lorn at Maria's choice.

"Who was she?" Asked Maria.

"Adam's twin sister." Said Regina, "Her name's Laura."

"Wait," said Alix. "She's alive?"

"Yes, she's just overseas." Said Adam, just then his phone had rung. "Hello?"

[Hey bro.] Said a sweet voice on the other end. His eyes widen.

"Laura," he smirked. "Hey, sidekick."

[Hey sidekick! How's Mom and Jess?]

"Oh, they're fine. Jess is missing you though." Just then the door opened behind Jess and in stepped a very beautiful young woman, dressed in a white T-shirt, jeans, and boots. Her hair was a caramel brown and she was buffed.

"Tell her to turn around." She said.

"Jess, behind you!" Jess turned around and saw her.

"LAURA!" She said and tackled her to the floor. The two sisters hugged tightly. The others were in shock at what they were seeing. Regina got up and hugged her as well. Laura walked over to him and hugged him tightly.

"Ua ou i le fale, uso pele," she said. (Anyone that Samoan let me know if this is right. I am using Google translate.)

"Susu maia i le fale, tuafafine pele," he said into the hug with tears falling from his eyes. They pulled off of each other.

"So," she said. "What are you guys up to?"

"Making cosplay outfits," said Regina. "But first, unpack, Adam made grilled cheese sandwiches."

"Cheddar and provolone." Laura quickly ran up to unpack.

"Don't Rush!" Said Regina, "the food's not going anywhere." She sighed, "that girl. Just got home and she already driving me crazy." Adam chuckled.

Later, Laura came down to a plate of two big sandwiches and a glass of juice. "So, I'm seeing some new faces." She said, "who am I looking at?" The girls introduced themselves.

"I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng," she said.

"I'm Alya Cesaire." Said Alya.

"Alix Lubbdel." Said Alix.

"Kathrine Mera." Said Kathi.

"Nice to meet you," said Laura.

"We're, Adam's fiancees." Said Maria, Laura just stared at her.

"Fiancees?" She said.

"Yep," said Adam.

"What happened?" So, they told her about what happened in France. "Wait, you found a box with rings in them? Which gave the girls powers and you 'wives'?"

"Yep."

"Then Grams and the 'Great Lady' met them so they can marry you officially?"

"Yeah, plus we got eight more to find."

"EIGHT?"

"There are twelve signs."

"How do you feel about it, Mom?"

"I'm fine about it," said Regina. "We love them." Laura nodded and looked at him working on the costumes.

"So, what's this? Got another show?"

"Train's making our costumes for 'X-Mas Kon'." Said Jessica.

"X-Mas Kon? That's going on?"

"In a couple of weeks," said Adam. She looked at her brother.

"Who's going as me?"

"That would be me." Said Maria.

"How's about I go as a harsher future me?"

"You really want to do that?" Said Adam.

"Yeah. I'll help you with it." Adam sighed and nodded. Laura grabbed him in a tight hug.

"I got to get you guys measurements first." He looks at Laura, "you got a little bit bigger. Do I have to start beating perverts with perverts again?"

"Maybe." Adam sighed.
