After Sasuke was taken back to the locker room, the referees called the game and ended it early. Ino got a hold of Naruto, and he told her where they had taken Sasuke. "He's in one of the medical rooms on the lower level, be careful going there" Ino told Sakura, while giving her one more tight hug. So Sakura placed Sakiko back in the wrap after thanking Ino for her help, and then had the guards take her to where Sasuke was.

When Sakura arrived, she saw Naruto standing outside the door with a pensive look on his face. "I'm so sorry this happened" was all he could say, while pulling her in for a hug. "Thank you for helping Naruto," Sakura said through shaky breaths. "Of course, they said he has a concussion and needs to sleep for a while. I'll be right out here if you need anything" he told her, as he opened the door and stepped out.

Sakura went inside and saw Sasuke laying down in a twin sized bed, with an ice pack on his forehead and bandages around his head. She sat down next to him and grabbed onto his hand, needing it to ground her. "Sasuke-kun that was so scary, I'm glad Sakiko couldn't see it" Sakura said aloud, not liking the silence.

Sasuke didn't stir at all, so Sakura stayed there on the edge of the bed and spoke to him. She spoke about any and everything, memories from her childhood, how painful birth was, anything to fill the silence. Sakura also sat Sakiko on the bed next to Sasuke, and she babbled to him as well, completely unaware of what was happening.

It was getting late into the night and Sakiko had fallen asleep next to Sasuke, when Sakura heard the door open and turned to see Naruto standing there, "Naruto, what are you still doing here?" she asked, completely shocked. "I said I'd be here didn't I? I told Ino and Itoshi to head home but I wanted to stay just in case." Naruto said casually, as he grabbed a chair and sat next to Sakura.

"I can't thank you enough Naruto" Sakura said genuinely, as she squeezed his shoulder. "You're welcome Sakura, I'll go grab the doctor to check on him again. Do you want to step out and take a break while he does?" Naruto suggested. "I guess I should go walk around some since I've been sitting for so long," Sakura said reluctantly, as she gently picked up her sleeping baby and walked out of the room.

About thirty minutes had gone by of Sakura pacing up and down the hallway outside of Sasuke's room, when Naruto called her back. "What did they say?" Sakura asked breathlessly. "He should be up soon, but when he does wake up he'll have a bad headache and be sensitive to light, as well as potential nausea" Naruto informed her. "Well I'll make sure he follows the appropriate concussion protocol. But you should head home, the guards will be here to watch us" Sakura said, feeling bad that he'd been there for so long. "I guess I should since it's 2 in the morning, but you call me if you need anything" Naruto said seriously, while writing down his number for her.

After Naruto left, Sakura sat back down next to Sasuke, keeping her eyes on the rise and fall of his chest. Two more hours had gone by, when Sakura finally saw his onyx eyes slowly open. "My head" Sasuke groaned, as he tried to sit up. "Sasuke-kun don't move, you have a concussion" Sakura told him, concerned for his well-being, but also happy that he finally woke up. "Tch, screw that guy for doing this to me" Sasuke bit out, recalling what had happened to him. "Forget that, how do you feel?" Sakura asked. "Like my head is about to burst, are we still in the arena? And why are you two still here?" Sasuke asked in a confused tone, not realizing how much time had passed by.

"We're at one of the medical rooms in the arena, and we're still here because we are a family, Sasuke. Do you really think we would just leave you here?" Sakura said, feeling her eyes start to mist. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, come here" he said, gingerly scooting over and opening the covers for her. So Sakura laid Sakiko across his chest, who was still sleeping peacefully, and then got into bed next to her husband.

"I'm going to have to pay those guards extra for working so much," Sasuke said, trying to lighten the heavy mood. "He's injured and still trying to make me feel better," Sakura thought, while brushing her thumb across his jawline.

"What if I got a tattoo for you and Sakiko or my parents, wouldn't that be cool?" Sasuke suggested quietly, with a dazed look on his face. Confused at his words, Sakura was about to respond when she saw that he had already fallen asleep once more. "Silly man, must be the concussion talking" Sakura whispered to herself, before drifting off to sleep as well.

The couple was awoken at 7 the next morning, due to a cranky and hungry Sakiko. "Let's get her home" Sasuke said, as he eased himself into the seated position. He then slowly got up and went to the locker room to get his belongings, while Sakura changed and fed Sakiko.

The guards drove them home, and Sasuke had to wear Sakura's pink sunglasses the whole ride due to his sensitive eyes. "You look really cute Sasuke-kun" Sakura teased him, as she rubbed small circles on his hand with her thumb. "Tch, no I don't" Sasuke murumed, not enjoying being so disoriented.

They arrived home, and Sasuke went straight to the shower, feeling grimy after his game and the long night they had. Once he was out, Sakura filled the tub with warm water and placed Sakiko inside. The pink haired baby immediately calmed down, enjoying the warmth and the feeling of her Mama washing her hair.

After she was all clean, Sakura dried her off and got her changed into a dark blue onesie with white dots. At this point Sakiko had fallen asleep, so Sakura placed her into the crib with a kiss on her forehead. She then went and got Sasuke a cold water bottle and some painkillers for his headache. She found him laying down in their bedroom, wearing only a pair of black joggers with a cold washcloth over his eyes. "Sasuke-kun take one of these, it'll help dull the pain" Sakura said softly, as she sat next to him on the edge of the bed.

Sasuke accepted the medicine without hesitation, and chugged half the water bottle before placing it across his forehead. Satisfied with his condition, Sakura got up to leave the room, but stopped when she felt a tug on her hand. "Where are you going?" Sasuke asked, hoping he didn't sound too desperate. "I'm just going to shower, everyone is clean but me" she said with a giggle, while giving his hand a squeeze. "Hn, hurry back" Sasuke said with a grunt, as he rolled onto his side.

So Sakura showered and went through her usual skin care routine, and then changed into a forest green sweatshirt and black cotton shorts. She went back to their room and got in bed with her back against the headboard. Sasuke then moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her middle, resting his head on her stomach. "You go ahead and sleep some more, I'm not going anywhere until Sakiko wakes up" Sakura reassured him, while running her hands through his thick hair.

"Thank you for always taking care of us, you're just like how my Mom was" Sasuke said genuinely, while nuzzling his face into her stomach. Sakura was so taken back by his words and the overwhelming love she felt for him, all she could do was kiss the top of his head and appreciate the tender moment with her beloved.
