Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or any of the characters.
Why did Sakura go to college for medical school. Don't get her wrong, she loved the medical field and everything about it, but the schooling is just too much. While all of her friends were out for the night getting some fresh air, she was stuck. In her dorm room. Studying for an exam. By herself.
She sighed as she flipped another page in her biology book. It was lonely in her room with the only company being the buzz of a seemingly eager fly. While she would like to be out, her better judgement told her to stay in like a good medical student and study. Tsunade Senju, a friend of her mother, offered her an internship after she graduated. She accepted it without hesitation, but she still believed that just because one gets an opportunity, you still shouldn't slack off.
She sighed even harder as she closed her biology book and opened her notebook full of notes from lectures that were at an impossibly fast pace. She skimmed and highlighted certain notes until she heard a knock at her door. She looked at the door and shrugged, thinking that it was just her friends coming back drunk from a night out partying. However, the person knocked again, but with the same amount of force. A force as if they weren't mad, but were patiently waiting for her to let them in.
Sakura sighed once more as she closed her things and trotted over to the door. She opened it to reveal Naruto standing in a pair of sweats and his state championship basketball hoodie. His face brightened upon seeing her.
"Naruto?" Sakura said in confusion. "What are you doing here?"
Naruto smiled and walked into her room. "Exams are coming up, so I thought I'd come and see how the studying's going."
Sakura closed the door as she rolled her eyes. "It's going great." She walked over to him and pointed her finger to his chest. "Shouldn't you be studying?"
Naruto chuckled and took her hand away and held it in his hand. "I'm studying, but it's also good to take a little break and reward yourself. Simple psychology, which is what I'm studying for." He said with a smile that made Sakura playfully roll her eyes.
"Ok, so why don't you just go get something to eat, or go on a walk? Why bother me?" She said as she walked away from him and sat on her bed.
"Because I wanna show you something." Naruto said as he went in her mini-fridge and grabbed a water bottle.
Sakura looked at him and blinked a few times. "You came over here to show me something?" Naruto nodded. "Ok, well then show me." Naruto chuckled. "What's so funny?" Sakura said sounding a bit irritated.
"What I have to show you is outside, so come on get ready." Naruto said as he walked over to her.
Sakura slugged. "Naruto I have to study."
"Come on, Sakura-chan." He reached for her and grabbed her arms to pull her off of the bed. "It won't take long, I promise."
Sakura looked at him for a moment. She couldn't say no. He was too damn cute. "Uggghhh, fine let's go."
"Yessss." Naruto said as he fistpumped, making Sakura chuckle.
Xxxxx
"Here it is." Naruto said as he took a seat on the hill.
Sakura looked out over the horizon. "Naruto, it's beautiful."
Naruto took her to a hill that looked over the entire city. She saw the city's nightlife as people whipped through the city in their cars. She saw the lights of the tall buildings, but most importantly, she saw the night sky with all of the tiny stars and the moon.
"I come here all the time when I need to clear my head. So, I thought I'd share this spot with you." Naruto said as he took a seat.
Sakura sat next to him. "Thank you, Naruto." She leaned her head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her. "Coming out here with you was a good idea after all."
Tormint: Look what the cat dragged in. Yeah, I know I've fallen off of the face of the earth...again. I think this is a regular occurrence, but I feel like I write my best material when I have a hiatus.
I randomly got inspiration to write again, so here it is. I wanted to write something easy, so I decided to update this. I hope you enjoyed this because I thoroughly enjoyed writing it. I feel like I enjoy writing more, after I take a break from it for a while. I'm probably gonna update Just Friends soon, I just have to find a good way to introduce the plot for the second chapter of it (I know I'm really slow), but it's all a part of the creative process.
Anyways, I think I've rambled on for long enough. Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed. Don't forget to review, and have an amazing day/night!
Tormint out!
