(Senku woke up from sleep instead of reviving somewhere else he felt the cold in the room and felt that he was not in the mansion anymore as this room was not as well insulated near the bed he could see an asleep Emilia on a chair puck flew to him)

Senku: I'm alive?

Puck: Yeah I am surprised too, the shape in which the blue maid brought you back you looked like meat that came out of a grinder

Senku: Thanks for saving me.

Puck: You should be thankful to the blue maid she was in worse shape than you and my daughter who patched you up. I am surprised though you woke up rather quickly anyways you should see Beatrice she has something to tell you.

The tone in the last part made him aware that it wasn't good news but he got up and walked to see Beatrice….

Beatrice: Oh you're awake I suppose.

Senku: Yeah Puck told me to meet you

Beatrice: You're going to die I suppose.

But Senku's face didn't look surprised at all

Beatrice: Betty thought you would be wailing by now, aren't you scared?

Senku: You can remove the dogs curses right why would I be scared when you're here to help me out.

Beatrice: You don't understand. Removing one curse is like untying a knot when a lot of curses are placed however they jumble themselves in a web that becomes impossible to undo.

Senku: Your tone suggests there are other methods.

Beatrice: Yes there are one way is to simply kill the dogs which cursed you naturally if the person who cursed you died before it activated there would be no penalty

Senku: Wait, Puck told me Rem got bit worse than I was, I am yet to see her and she tends to guilt herself unnecessarily. Don't tell me!

Beatrice: What you assume is indeed truth I suppose.

(Interrupts) Ram: Is what the boy saying true. Ms Beatrice?

Before Beatrice can answer Senku interrupts

Senku: Let's save her then.

Beatrice: Have you seen yourself you're so weak physically.

Senku: I was weak even before that. I have always been weak that's one of the things that makes me innovate and think ideas to get out of sticky situations, I don't care if you're in or not I am too soft to leave Rem alone after all she did to save me.

Ram: Surprisingly I agree with you. Just this once I shall accompany you.

Senku: So let's leave before Emilia wakes up!

Senku left to get his leftover stuff back from the lab and brought with him the last of nails. Nails were difficult to produce before industry became a thing so these were in short supply.

They regrouped back in the village but before leaving the villagers had joined in.

Villagers: Perhaps we judged Ms Emilia a bit too harshly, Please forgive us.

Senku: Say that to Emilia, I am happy you were able to look over you prejudice.

(A well built man came forward, here take this as a gift he said as he gave a sword to Senku, Useless to him as it was he didn't want to hurt anyone's sentiments by refusing it)

They both then ran towards the forest. After a while of running Senku and Ram stopped Ram told him to stop and closed her eyes activation clairvoyance. Found her she said as she ran north. Senku followed. Soon they could hear maniacal laughing and a noise of something heavy banging into trees. They then found themselves looking at maid who now had a singular Horn coming out of her forehead releasing pink electric charge to the surroundings.

Ram: Stop sister! Let's think and act

But there was no proper response instead her flail came flying towards Ram and Senku. They both managed to avoid becoming Ram's best dish mashed potatoes by a few inches.

They started sprinting in the opposite direction now.

(yelling) Senku: Has she lost her mind!

Ram: You are right for a change. She seems to have lost control on herself in her oni form.

Senku: Then how to stop her in this state I will die to her before I die to the curse.

Ram: You hit her on the horn to make her go back to her regular state.

Just then Mabeasts blocked their way. "These again!" Senku yelled as he threw one of his Anise pouches at a tree diverting their attention. They then ran over the nearby slope the sharp scent of Gunpowder made Rem lose track of them both. The mabeasts still hadn't moved from there so when Rem arrived She pulverised them.

From their high perch

Senku: If she wasn't moving so much and the target was bigger and if my hands weren't moving like jackhammers I could have hit her horn from a distance.

Ram: What do we do now?

Senku: Does it have to be a person who hits her horn?

Senku made the preparations for his new plan to work. He yelled, "I can Reviv-

The same hands appeared fondled his heart and left. The moment he came back he knew it worked he could hear Howls and Ram confirmed his statement. "they're here" She said as Senku jumped down to meet Rem but before she could throw her flail Mabeasts attempted to bite her this shifted her attention While this happened the Mabeasts avoided Senku for some reason. Senku then sprinted left Rem decimated all the Dogs in her oni mode and just as she got to the last few Senku yelled, "Now!"

A Explosion occurred on the top ridge which caused a landslide on Rem trapping her in it. Ram slid down the rubble and they both approached the now unconscious Rem.

Ram: If anything would have happened to her I would have fed you to the mabeasts myself.

Senku: Nothing happened right? Now wake her up let's get moving.

Senku's plan worked to perfection he was going to increase his miasma pulling any mabeasts in the range of smelling it to himself but he had the Border marking stone in his pocket thus they avoided her but instead went for Rem they worked as perfect distraction to further tire Rem and keep that flail off him. Another merit of this plan was this scent would pull in any mabeasts which bit him or Rem thus solving the curse issue as well. Once the dogs had been slain Senku would signal to Ram who would ignite the fuse attached to the Gunpowder he snuck in the cracks between the rocks. The explosion however was weaker than expected but it managed to roll the boulders downhill on Rem trapping her and ending the ordeal without much effort.

Ram picked her up and put about to put Rem on her back to carry her back but they heard something. On top of the now shortened cliff there was a pup. A familiar pup it growled at him and suddenly started growing in size until it had turned into a large hound several metres high. While the dog grew Senku slid the scabbard of the sword up his Left sleeve.

Ram: Now this!

The dog lunged at Senku but instead of anything he used his right hand to give a thumbs up to the two sisters. The hound used it's mouth to catch Senku with his left hand.

Senku: So predictable

Senku reached out to his pocket and threw an entire pouch of Cyanide into it's mouth which for some reason still hadn't snapped his hand apart. After that he heard a small crunch.

Senku: Time to bail!

He shouted as he summoned fire in his right hand this spooked the hound which dropped him and swallowed the bag the scrunched scabbard fell from his left sleeve. "Now feed these flames" Senku said as he cast Goa right in the middle of the hound and them.

Ram: El fura

The attacks mixed creating a maelstrom of superhot flames this held of the hund which suddenly started drooping and instead of fleeing fell into the fire. It burned to nothingness.

They then trudged back to the village all three of them very exhausted. Suddenly more dogs ambushed them but before they did anything flames rained from above completely scorching the dogs. It was Roswaal apparently there to save them. But his timing sent Senku into a world of thought.

Roswaal: My my you have exceeded my expectation haveeeent you?

Senku: You could say that I guess, we could've had it easier had you come early.

Ram: Questioning Roswaal sama, such disdain towards authority how characteristic of you

Senku: You're at it again. Cut me a break dammit.

The quartet made their way back to the mansion to end this day, but Roswaals arrival at the end left questions in Senku's mind. A lot of questions.
